تَبَٰرَكَBlessed isٱلَّذِىHeبِيَدِهِin Whose Handٱلْمُلْكُ(is) the Dominionوَهُوَand Heعَلَىٰ(is) overكُلِّeveryشَىْءٍthingقَدِيرٌAll-Powerful1
ٱلَّذِىThe One Whoخَلَقَcreatedٱلْمَوْتَdeathوَٱلْحَيَوٰةَand lifeلِيَبْلُوَكُمْthat He may test youأَيُّكُمْwhich of youأَحْسَنُ(is) bestعَمَلًا(in) deedوَهُوَAnd Heٱلْعَزِيزُ(is) the All-Mightyٱلْغَفُورُthe Oft-Forgiving2
ٱلَّذِىThe One Whoخَلَقَcreatedسَبْعَsevenسَمَٰوَٰتٍheavensطِبَاقًاone above anotherمَّاNotتَرَىٰyou seeفِىinخَلْقِ(the) creationٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ(of) the Most GraciousمِنanyتَفَٰوُتٍfaultفَٱرْجِعِSo returnٱلْبَصَرَthe visionهَلْcanتَرَىٰyou seeمِنanyفُطُورٍflaw3
ثُمَّThenٱرْجِعِreturnٱلْبَصَرَthe visionكَرَّتَيْنِtwice (again)يَنقَلِبْWill returnإِلَيْكَto youٱلْبَصَرُthe visionخَاسِئًاhumbledوَهُوَwhile itحَسِيرٌ(is) fatigued4
وَلَقَدْAnd certainlyزَيَّنَّاWe have beautifiedٱلسَّمَآءَthe heavenٱلدُّنْيَاnearestبِمَصَٰبِيحَwith lampsوَجَعَلْنَٰهَاand We have made themرُجُومًا(as) missilesلِّلشَّيَٰطِينِfor the devilsوَأَعْتَدْنَاand We have preparedلَهُمْfor themعَذَابَpunishmentٱلسَّعِيرِ(of) the Blaze5
وَلِلَّذِينَAnd for those whoكَفَرُوا۟disbelievedبِرَبِّهِمْin their Lordعَذَابُ(is the) punishmentجَهَنَّمَ(of) Hellوَبِئْسَand wretched isٱلْمَصِيرُthe destination6
إِذَآWhenأُلْقُوا۟they are thrownفِيهَاthereinسَمِعُوا۟they will hearلَهَاfrom itشَهِيقًاan inhalingوَهِىَwhile itتَفُورُboils up7
تَكَادُIt almostتَمَيَّزُburstsمِنَfromٱلْغَيْظِrageكُلَّمَآEvery timeأُلْقِىَis thrownفِيهَاthereinفَوْجٌa groupسَأَلَهُمْ(will) ask themخَزَنَتُهَآits keepersأَلَمْDid notيَأْتِكُمْcome to youنَذِيرٌa warner8
قَالُوا۟They will sayبَلَىٰYesقَدْindeedجَآءَنَاcame to usنَذِيرٌa warnerفَكَذَّبْنَاbut we deniedوَقُلْنَاand we saidمَاNotنَزَّلَhas sent downٱللَّهُAllahمِنanyشَىْءٍthingإِنْNotأَنتُمْyou (are)إِلَّاbutفِىinضَلَٰلٍerrorكَبِيرٍgreat9
وَقَالُوا۟And they will sayلَوْIfكُنَّاwe hadنَسْمَعُlistenedأَوْorنَعْقِلُreasonedمَاnotكُنَّاwe (would) have beenفِىٓamongأَصْحَٰبِ(the) companionsٱلسَّعِيرِ(of) the Blaze10
فَٱعْتَرَفُوا۟Then they (will) confessبِذَنۢبِهِمْtheir sinsفَسُحْقًاso away withلِّأَصْحَٰبِ(the) companionsٱلسَّعِيرِ(of) the Blaze11
إِنَّIndeedٱلَّذِينَthose whoيَخْشَوْنَfearرَبَّهُمtheir Lordبِٱلْغَيْبِunseenلَهُمfor themمَّغْفِرَةٌ(is) forgivenessوَأَجْرٌand a rewardكَبِيرٌgreat12
وَأَسِرُّوا۟And concealقَوْلَكُمْyour speechأَوِorٱجْهَرُوا۟proclaimبِهِۦٓitإِنَّهُۥIndeed, Heعَلِيمٌۢ(is the) All-Knowerبِذَاتِof what (is in)ٱلصُّدُورِthe breasts13
أَلَاDoes notيَعْلَمُknowمَنْ(the One) WhoخَلَقَcreatedوَهُوَAnd Heٱللَّطِيفُ(is) the Subtleٱلْخَبِيرُthe All-Aware14
هُوَHeٱلَّذِى(is) the One Whoجَعَلَmadeلَكُمُfor youٱلْأَرْضَthe earthذَلُولًاsubservientفَٱمْشُوا۟so walkفِىinمَنَاكِبِهَا(the) paths thereofوَكُلُوا۟and eatمِنofرِّزْقِهِۦHis provisionوَإِلَيْهِand to Himٱلنُّشُورُ(is) the Resurrection15
ءَأَمِنتُمDo you feel secureمَّن(from Him) Whoفِى(is) inٱلسَّمَآءِthe heavenأَنnotيَخْسِفَHe will cause to swallowبِكُمُyouٱلْأَرْضَthe earthفَإِذَاwhenهِىَitتَمُورُsways16
أَمْOrأَمِنتُمdo you feel secureمَّن(from Him) Whoفِى(is) inٱلسَّمَآءِthe heavenأَنthatيُرْسِلَHe will sendعَلَيْكُمْagainst youحَاصِبًاa storm of stonesفَسَتَعْلَمُونَThen you would knowكَيْفَhowنَذِيرِ(was) My warning17
وَلَقَدْAnd indeedكَذَّبَdeniedٱلَّذِينَthoseمِنfromقَبْلِهِمْbefore themفَكَيْفَand howكَانَwasنَكِيرِMy rejection18
أَوَلَمْDo notيَرَوْا۟they seeإِلَى[to]ٱلطَّيْرِthe birdsفَوْقَهُمْabove themصَٰٓفَّٰتٍspreading (their wings)وَيَقْبِضْنَand foldingمَاNotيُمْسِكُهُنَّholds themإِلَّاexceptٱلرَّحْمَٰنُthe Most GraciousإِنَّهُۥIndeed, Heبِكُلِّ(is) of everyشَىْءٍۢthingبَصِيرٌAll-Seer19
أَمَّنْWho isهَٰذَاthisٱلَّذِىthe oneهُوَheجُندٌ(is) an armyلَّكُمْfor youيَنصُرُكُمto help youمِّنfromدُونِbesidesٱلرَّحْمَٰنِthe Most GraciousإِنِNotٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ(are) the disbelieversإِلَّاbutفِىinغُرُورٍdelusion20
أَمَّنْWho isهَٰذَاthisٱلَّذِىthe oneيَرْزُقُكُمْto provide youإِنْifأَمْسَكَHe withheldرِزْقَهُۥHis provisionبَلNayلَّجُّوا۟they persistفِىinعُتُوٍّprideوَنُفُورٍand aversion21
أَفَمَنThen is he whoيَمْشِىwalksمُكِبًّاfallenعَلَىٰonوَجْهِهِۦٓhis faceأَهْدَىٰٓbetter guidedأَمَّنor (he) whoيَمْشِىwalksسَوِيًّاuprightعَلَىٰonصِرَٰطٍ(the) PathمُّسْتَقِيمٍStraight22
قُلْSayهُوَHeٱلَّذِىٓ(is) the One Whoأَنشَأَكُمْproduced youوَجَعَلَand madeلَكُمُfor youٱلسَّمْعَthe hearingوَٱلْأَبْصَٰرَand the visionوَٱلْأَفْـِٔدَةَand the feelingsقَلِيلًاLittleمَّا(is) whatتَشْكُرُونَyou give thanks23
قُلْSayهُوَHeٱلَّذِى(is) the One Whoذَرَأَكُمْmultiplied youفِىinٱلْأَرْضِthe earthوَإِلَيْهِand to Himتُحْشَرُونَyou will be gathered24
وَيَقُولُونَAnd they sayمَتَىٰWhenهَٰذَا(is) thisٱلْوَعْدُpromiseإِنifكُنتُمْyou areصَٰدِقِينَtruthful25
قُلْSayإِنَّمَاOnlyٱلْعِلْمُthe knowledgeعِندَ(is) withٱللَّهِAllahوَإِنَّمَآand onlyأَنَاI amنَذِيرٌa warnerمُّبِينٌclear26
فَلَمَّاBut whenرَأَوْهُthey (will) see itزُلْفَةًapproachingسِيٓـَٔتْ(will be) distressedوُجُوهُ(the) facesٱلَّذِينَ(of) those whoكَفَرُوا۟disbelievedوَقِيلَand it will be saidهَٰذَاThisٱلَّذِى(is) that whichكُنتُمyou used toبِهِۦfor itتَدَّعُونَcall27
قُلْSayأَرَءَيْتُمْHave you seenإِنْifأَهْلَكَنِىَdestroys meٱللَّهُAllahوَمَنand whoeverمَّعِىَ(is) with meأَوْorرَحِمَنَاhas mercy upon usفَمَنthen whoيُجِيرُ(can) protectٱلْكَٰفِرِينَthe disbelieversمِنْfromعَذَابٍa punishmentأَلِيمٍpainful28
قُلْSayهُوَHeٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ(is) the Most Graciousءَامَنَّاwe believeبِهِۦin Himوَعَلَيْهِand upon Himتَوَكَّلْنَاwe put (our) trustفَسَتَعْلَمُونَSo you will knowمَنْwhoهُوَ(is) itفِى(that is) inضَلَٰلٍerrorمُّبِينٍclear29
قُلْSayأَرَءَيْتُمْHave you seenإِنْifأَصْبَحَbecomesمَآؤُكُمْyour waterغَوْرًاsunkenفَمَنthen whoيَأْتِيكُمcould bring youبِمَآءٍwaterمَّعِينٍۢflowing30

إِنَّIndeedرَبَّكَyour LordهُوَHeأَعْلَمُ(is) most knowingبِمَنof (he) whoضَلَّhas strayedعَنfromسَبِيلِهِۦHis wayوَهُوَand Heأَعْلَمُ(is) most knowingبِٱلْمُهْتَدِينَof the guided ones7
إِذَاWhenتُتْلَىٰare recitedعَلَيْهِto himءَايَٰتُنَاOur Versesقَالَhe saysأَسَٰطِيرُStoriesٱلْأَوَّلِينَ(of) the former (people)15
إِنَّاIndeed, Weبَلَوْنَٰهُمْhave tried themكَمَاasبَلَوْنَآWe triedأَصْحَٰبَ(the) companionsٱلْجَنَّةِ(of) the gardenإِذْwhenأَقْسَمُوا۟they sworeلَيَصْرِمُنَّهَاto pluck its fruitمُصْبِحِينَ(in the) morning17
فَطَافَSo there cameعَلَيْهَاupon itطَآئِفٌa visitationمِّنfromرَّبِّكَyour Lordوَهُمْwhile theyنَآئِمُونَwere asleep19
أَنِThatٱغْدُوا۟Go earlyعَلَىٰtoحَرْثِكُمْyour cropإِنifكُنتُمْyou wouldصَٰرِمِينَpluck (the) fruit22
فَلَمَّاBut whenرَأَوْهَاthey saw itقَالُوٓا۟they saidإِنَّاIndeed, weلَضَآلُّونَ(are) surely lost26
قَالَSaidأَوْسَطُهُمْ(the) most moderate of themأَلَمْDid notأَقُلI tellلَّكُمْyouلَوْلَا'Why notتُسَبِّحُونَyou glorify (Allah)?'28
قَالُوا۟They saidسُبْحَٰنَGlory beرَبِّنَآ(to) our LordإِنَّاIndeed, weكُنَّا[we] wereظَٰلِمِينَwrongdoers29
فَأَقْبَلَThen approachedبَعْضُهُمْsome of themعَلَىٰtoبَعْضٍothersيَتَلَٰوَمُونَblaming each other30
عَسَىٰPerhapsرَبُّنَآour Lordأَن[that]يُبْدِلَنَاwill substitute for usخَيْرًاa betterمِّنْهَآthan itإِنَّآIndeed, weإِلَىٰtoرَبِّنَاour Lordرَٰغِبُونَturn devoutly32
كَذَٰلِكَSuchٱلْعَذَابُ(is) the punishmentوَلَعَذَابُAnd surely the punishmentٱلْءَاخِرَةِ(of) the Hereafterأَكْبَرُ(is) greaterلَوْifكَانُوا۟theyيَعْلَمُونَknow33
إِنَّIndeedلِلْمُتَّقِينَfor the righteousعِندَwithرَبِّهِمْtheir Lordجَنَّٰتِ(are) Gardensٱلنَّعِيمِ(of) Delight34
أَمْOrلَكُمْfor youأَيْمَٰنٌoathsعَلَيْنَاfrom usبَٰلِغَةٌreachingإِلَىٰtoيَوْمِ(the) Dayٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ(of) the Resurrectionإِنَّindeedلَكُمْfor youلَمَا(is) whatتَحْكُمُونَyou judge39
أَمْOrلَهُمْ(are) for themشُرَكَآءُpartnersفَلْيَأْتُوا۟Then let them bringبِشُرَكَآئِهِمْtheir partnersإِنifكَانُوا۟they areصَٰدِقِينَtruthful41
يَوْمَ(The) Dayيُكْشَفُwill be uncoveredعَنfromسَاقٍthe shinوَيُدْعَوْنَand they will be calledإِلَىtoٱلسُّجُودِprostrateفَلَاbut notيَسْتَطِيعُونَthey will be able42
خَٰشِعَةًHumbledأَبْصَٰرُهُمْtheir eyesتَرْهَقُهُمْwill cover themذِلَّةٌhumiliationوَقَدْAnd indeedكَانُوا۟they wereيُدْعَوْنَcalledإِلَىtoٱلسُّجُودِprostrateوَهُمْwhile theyسَٰلِمُونَ(were) sound43
فَذَرْنِىSo leave Meوَمَنand whoeverيُكَذِّبُdeniesبِهَٰذَاthisٱلْحَدِيثِStatementسَنَسْتَدْرِجُهُمWe will progressively lead themمِّنْfromحَيْثُwhereلَاnotيَعْلَمُونَthey know44
أَمْOrتَسْـَٔلُهُمْyou ask themأَجْرًاa paymentفَهُمso theyمِّنfromمَّغْرَمٍ(the) debtمُّثْقَلُونَ(are) burdened46
فَٱصْبِرْSo be patientلِحُكْمِfor (the) decisionرَبِّكَ(of) your Lordوَلَاand (do) notتَكُنbeكَصَاحِبِlike (the) companionٱلْحُوتِ(of) the fishإِذْwhenنَادَىٰhe called outوَهُوَwhile heمَكْظُومٌ(was) distressed48
لَّوْلَآIf notأَنthatتَدَٰرَكَهُۥovertook himنِعْمَةٌa Favorمِّنfromرَّبِّهِۦhis Lordلَنُبِذَsurely he would have been thrownبِٱلْعَرَآءِonto (the) naked shoreوَهُوَwhile heمَذْمُومٌ(was) blamed49
وَإِنAnd indeedيَكَادُwould almostٱلَّذِينَthose whoكَفَرُوا۟disbelieveلَيُزْلِقُونَكَsurely make you slipبِأَبْصَٰرِهِمْwith their lookلَمَّاwhenسَمِعُوا۟they hearٱلذِّكْرَthe Messageوَيَقُولُونَand they sayإِنَّهُۥIndeed, heلَمَجْنُونٌ(is) surely mad51

فَأَمَّاSo as forثَمُودُThamudفَأُهْلِكُوا۟they were destroyedبِٱلطَّاغِيَةِby the overpowering (blast)5
وَأَمَّاAnd as forعَادٌAadفَأُهْلِكُوا۟they were destroyedبِرِيحٍby a windصَرْصَرٍscreamingعَاتِيَةٍviolent6
سَخَّرَهَاWhich He imposedعَلَيْهِمْupon themسَبْعَ(for) sevenلَيَالٍnightsوَثَمَٰنِيَةَand eightأَيَّامٍdaysحُسُومًا(in) successionفَتَرَىso you would seeٱلْقَوْمَthe peopleفِيهَاthereinصَرْعَىٰfallenكَأَنَّهُمْas if they wereأَعْجَازُtrunksنَخْلٍ(of) date-palmsخَاوِيَةٍhollow7
وَجَآءَAnd cameفِرْعَوْنُFiraunوَمَنand (those)قَبْلَهُۥbefore himوَٱلْمُؤْتَفِكَٰتُand the overturned citiesبِٱلْخَاطِئَةِwith sin9
فَعَصَوْا۟And they disobeyedرَسُولَ(the) Messengerرَبِّهِمْ(of) their Lordفَأَخَذَهُمْso He seized themأَخْذَةً(with) a seizureرَّابِيَةًexceeding10
إِنَّاIndeed, Weلَمَّاwhenطَغَاoverflowedٱلْمَآءُthe waterحَمَلْنَٰكُمْWe carried youفِىinٱلْجَارِيَةِthe sailing (ship)11
لِنَجْعَلَهَاThat We might make itلَكُمْfor youتَذْكِرَةًa reminderوَتَعِيَهَآand would be conscious of itأُذُنٌan earوَٰعِيَةٌconscious12
وَحُمِلَتِAnd are liftedٱلْأَرْضُthe earthوَٱلْجِبَالُand the mountainsفَدُكَّتَاand crushedدَكَّةً(with) a crushingوَٰحِدَةًsingle14
وَٱلْمَلَكُAnd the Angelsعَلَىٰٓ(will be) onأَرْجَآئِهَاits edgesوَيَحْمِلُand will bearعَرْشَ(the) Throneرَبِّكَ(of) your Lordفَوْقَهُمْabove themيَوْمَئِذٍthat Dayثَمَٰنِيَةٌeight17
يَوْمَئِذٍThat Dayتُعْرَضُونَyou will be exhibitedلَاnotتَخْفَىٰwill be hiddenمِنكُمْamong youخَافِيَةٌany secret18
فَأَمَّاThen as forمَنْ(him) whoأُوتِىَis givenكِتَٰبَهُۥhis recordبِيَمِينِهِۦin his right handفَيَقُولُwill sayهَآؤُمُHereٱقْرَءُوا۟readكِتَٰبِيَهْmy record19
كُلُوا۟Eatوَٱشْرَبُوا۟and drinkهَنِيٓـًٔۢا(in) satisfactionبِمَآfor whatأَسْلَفْتُمْyou sent before youفِىinٱلْأَيَّامِthe daysٱلْخَالِيَةِpast24
وَأَمَّاBut as forمَنْ(him) whoأُوتِىَis givenكِتَٰبَهُۥhis recordبِشِمَالِهِۦin his left handفَيَقُولُwill sayيَٰلَيْتَنِىO! I wishلَمْnotأُوتَI had been givenكِتَٰبِيَهْmy record25
ثُمَّThenفِىintoسِلْسِلَةٍa chainذَرْعُهَاits lengthسَبْعُونَ(is) seventyذِرَاعًاcubitsفَٱسْلُكُوهُinsert him32
وَمَاAnd notهُوَitبِقَوْلِ(is the) wordشَاعِرٍ(of) a poetقَلِيلًاlittleمَّا(is) whatتُؤْمِنُونَyou believe41
وَلَاAnd notبِقَوْلِ(it is the) wordكَاهِنٍ(of) a soothsayerقَلِيلًاlittleمَّا(is) whatتَذَكَّرُونَyou take heed42

تَعْرُجُAscendٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُthe Angelsوَٱلرُّوحُand the Spiritإِلَيْهِto Himفِىinيَوْمٍa Dayكَانَ[is]مِقْدَارُهُۥits measureخَمْسِينَ(is) fiftyأَلْفَthousandسَنَةٍyear(s)4
يُبَصَّرُونَهُمْThey will be made to see each otherيَوَدُّWould wishٱلْمُجْرِمُthe criminalلَوْifيَفْتَدِىhe (could be) ransomedمِنْfromعَذَابِ(the) punishmentيَوْمِئِذٍۢ(of) that Dayبِبَنِيهِby his children11
وَٱلَّذِينَAnd those whoيُصَدِّقُونَaccept (the) truthبِيَوْمِ(of the) Dayٱلدِّينِ(of) the Judgment26
وَٱلَّذِينَAnd those whoهُم[they]مِّنْofعَذَابِ(the) punishmentرَبِّهِم(of) their Lordمُّشْفِقُونَ(are) fearful 27
إِنَّIndeedعَذَابَ(the) punishmentرَبِّهِمْ(of) your Lordغَيْرُ(is) notمَأْمُونٍto be felt secure (of) 28
إِلَّاExceptعَلَىٰٓfromأَزْوَٰجِهِمْtheir spousesأَوْorمَاwhatمَلَكَتْthey possessأَيْمَٰنُهُمْrightfullyفَإِنَّهُمْthen indeed, theyغَيْرُ(are) notمَلُومِينَblameworthy30
فَمَنِBut whoeverٱبْتَغَىٰseeksوَرَآءَbeyondذَٰلِكَthatفَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَthen thoseهُمُ[they]ٱلْعَادُونَ(are) the transgressors 31
وَٱلَّذِينَAnd those whoهُمْ[they]لِأَمَٰنَٰتِهِمْof their trustsوَعَهْدِهِمْand their promiseرَٰعُونَ(are) observers32
فَمَالِSo what is withٱلَّذِينَthose whoكَفَرُوا۟disbelieveقِبَلَكَbefore youمُهْطِعِينَ(they) hasten36
أَيَطْمَعُDoes longكُلُّeveryٱمْرِئٍpersonمِّنْهُمْamong themأَنthatيُدْخَلَhe entersجَنَّةَa Gardenنَعِيمٍ(of) Delight38
كَلَّآBy no meansإِنَّاIndeed, Weخَلَقْنَٰهُم[We] have created themمِّمَّاfrom whatيَعْلَمُونَthey know39
فَلَآBut nayأُقْسِمُI swearبِرَبِّby (the) Lordٱلْمَشَٰرِقِ(of) the risingsوَٱلْمَغَٰرِبِand the settingsإِنَّاthat Weلَقَٰدِرُونَ(are) surely Able40
عَلَىٰٓ[On]أَنtoنُّبَدِّلَ[We] replaceخَيْرًا(with) betterمِّنْهُمْthan themوَمَاand notنَحْنُWeبِمَسْبُوقِينَ(are) to be outrun41
فَذَرْهُمْSo leave themيَخُوضُوا۟(to) converse vainlyوَيَلْعَبُوا۟and amuse themselvesحَتَّىٰuntilيُلَٰقُوا۟they meetيَوْمَهُمُtheir Dayٱلَّذِىwhichيُوعَدُونَthey are promised42
يَوْمَ(The) Dayيَخْرُجُونَthey will come outمِنَfromٱلْأَجْدَاثِthe gravesسِرَاعًاrapidlyكَأَنَّهُمْas if they (were)إِلَىٰtoنُصُبٍa goalيُوفِضُونَhastening43
خَٰشِعَةًHumbledأَبْصَٰرُهُمْtheir eyesightsتَرْهَقُهُمْwill cover themذِلَّةٌhumiliationذَٰلِكَThatٱلْيَوْمُ(is) the Dayٱلَّذِىwhichكَانُوا۟they wereيُوعَدُونَpromised44

إِنَّآIndeed, Weأَرْسَلْنَا[We] sentنُوحًاNuhإِلَىٰtoقَوْمِهِۦٓhis peopleأَنْthatأَنذِرْWarnقَوْمَكَyour peopleمِنfromقَبْلِbeforeأَن[that]يَأْتِيَهُمْcomes to themعَذَابٌa punishmentأَلِيمٌpainful1
يَغْفِرْHe will forgiveلَكُمfor youمِّن[of]ذُنُوبِكُمْyour sinsوَيُؤَخِّرْكُمْand give you respiteإِلَىٰٓforأَجَلٍa termمُّسَمًّىspecifiedإِنَّIndeedأَجَلَ(the) termٱللَّهِ(of) Allahإِذَاwhenجَآءَit comesلَاnotيُؤَخَّرُis delayedلَوْifكُنتُمْyouتَعْلَمُونَknow4
قَالَHe saidرَبِّMy LordإِنِّىIndeed, Iدَعَوْتُinvitedقَوْمِىmy peopleلَيْلًاnightوَنَهَارًاand day5
وَإِنِّىAnd indeed, Iكُلَّمَاevery timeدَعَوْتُهُمْI invited themلِتَغْفِرَthat You may forgiveلَهُمْthemجَعَلُوٓا۟they putأَصَٰبِعَهُمْtheir fingersفِىٓinءَاذَانِهِمْtheir earsوَٱسْتَغْشَوْا۟and covered themselvesثِيَابَهُمْ(with) their garmentsوَأَصَرُّوا۟and persistedوَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟and were arrogantٱسْتِكْبَارًا(with) pride7
ثُمَّThenإِنِّىٓindeed, Iأَعْلَنتُannouncedلَهُمْto themوَأَسْرَرْتُand I confidedلَهُمْto themإِسْرَارًاsecretly9
فَقُلْتُThen I saidٱسْتَغْفِرُوا۟Ask forgivenessرَبَّكُمْ(from) your LordإِنَّهُۥIndeed, HeكَانَisغَفَّارًاOft-Forgiving10
وَيُمْدِدْكُمAnd provide youبِأَمْوَٰلٍwith wealthوَبَنِينَand childrenوَيَجْعَلand makeلَّكُمْfor youجَنَّٰتٍgardensوَيَجْعَلand makeلَّكُمْfor youأَنْهَٰرًاrivers12
أَلَمْDo notتَرَوْا۟you seeكَيْفَhowخَلَقَdid createٱللَّهُAllahسَبْعَ(the) sevenسَمَٰوَٰتٍheavensطِبَاقًا(in) layers15
وَجَعَلَAnd madeٱلْقَمَرَthe moonفِيهِنَّthereinنُورًاa lightوَجَعَلَand madeٱلشَّمْسَthe sunسِرَاجًاa lamp16
وَٱللَّهُAnd Allahأَنۢبَتَكُمhas caused you to growمِّنَfromٱلْأَرْضِthe earthنَبَاتًا(as) a growth17
ثُمَّThenيُعِيدُكُمْHe will return youفِيهَاinto itوَيُخْرِجُكُمْand bring you forthإِخْرَاجًا(a new) bringing forth18
قَالَSaidنُوحٌNuhرَّبِّMy LordإِنَّهُمْIndeed, theyعَصَوْنِىdisobeyed meوَٱتَّبَعُوا۟and followedمَن(the one) whoلَّمْ(did) notيَزِدْهُincrease himمَالُهُۥhis wealthوَوَلَدُهُۥٓand his childrenإِلَّاexceptخَسَارًا(in) loss21
وَقَالُوا۟And they saidلَا(Do) notتَذَرُنَّleaveءَالِهَتَكُمْyour godsوَلَاand (do) notتَذَرُنَّleaveوَدًّاWaddوَلَاand notسُوَاعًاSuwaوَلَاand notيَغُوثَYaguthوَيَعُوقَand Yauqوَنَسْرًاand Nasr23
وَقَدْAnd indeedأَضَلُّوا۟they have led astrayكَثِيرًاmanyوَلَاAnd notتَزِدِincreaseٱلظَّٰلِمِينَthe wrongdoersإِلَّاexceptضَلَٰلًا(in) error24
مِّمَّاBecause ofخَطِيٓـَٰٔتِهِمْtheir sinsأُغْرِقُوا۟they were drownedفَأُدْخِلُوا۟then made to enterنَارًا(the) Fireفَلَمْand notيَجِدُوا۟they foundلَهُمfor themselvesمِّنfromدُونِbesidesٱللَّهِAllahأَنصَارًاany helpers25
وَقَالَAnd saidنُوحٌNuhرَّبِّMy Lordلَا(Do) notتَذَرْleaveعَلَىonٱلْأَرْضِthe earthمِنَanyٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ(of) the disbelieversدَيَّارًا(as) an inhabitant26
إِنَّكَIndeed, YouإِنifتَذَرْهُمْYou leave themيُضِلُّوا۟they will misleadعِبَادَكَYour slavesوَلَاand notيَلِدُوٓا۟they will begetإِلَّاexceptفَاجِرًاa wickedكَفَّارًاa disbeliever27
رَّبِّMy LordٱغْفِرْForgiveلِىmeوَلِوَٰلِدَىَّand my parentsوَلِمَنand whoeverدَخَلَentersبَيْتِىَmy house مُؤْمِنًاa believerوَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَand the believing menوَٱلْمُؤْمِنَٰتِand the believing womenوَلَاAnd (do) notتَزِدِincreaseٱلظَّٰلِمِينَthe wrongdoersإِلَّاexceptتَبَارًۢا(in) destruction28

قُلْSayأُوحِىَIt has been revealedإِلَىَّto meأَنَّهُthatٱسْتَمَعَlistenedنَفَرٌa groupمِّنَofٱلْجِنِّthe jinnفَقَالُوٓا۟and they saidإِنَّاIndeed, weسَمِعْنَاheardقُرْءَانًاa Quranعَجَبًاamazing1
يَهْدِىٓIt guidesإِلَىtoٱلرُّشْدِthe right wayفَـَٔامَنَّاso we believeبِهِۦin itوَلَنand neverنُّشْرِكَwe will associateبِرَبِّنَآwith our Lordأَحَدًاanyone2
وَأَنَّهُۥAnd that He تَعَٰلَىٰExalted isجَدُّ(the) Majestyرَبِّنَا(of) our Lord مَاnotٱتَّخَذَHe has takenصَٰحِبَةًa wifeوَلَاand notوَلَدًاa son3
وَأَنَّهُۥAnd that heكَانَused toيَقُولُspeak سَفِيهُنَاthe foolish among usعَلَىagainstٱللَّهِAllahشَطَطًاan excessive transgression4
وَأَنَّاAnd that weظَنَنَّآthoughtأَنthatلَّنneverتَقُولَwill sayٱلْإِنسُthe menوَٱلْجِنُّand the jinnعَلَىagainstٱللَّهِAllahكَذِبًاany lie5
وَأَنَّهُۥAnd thatكَانَ(there) wereرِجَالٌmenمِّنَamongٱلْإِنسِmankindيَعُوذُونَwho sought refugeبِرِجَالٍin (the) menمِّنَfromٱلْجِنِّthe jinnفَزَادُوهُمْso they increased themرَهَقًا(in) burden6
وَأَنَّهُمْAnd that theyظَنُّوا۟thoughtكَمَاasظَنَنتُمْyou thoughtأَنthatلَّنneverيَبْعَثَwill raiseٱللَّهُAllahأَحَدًاanyone7
وَأَنَّاAnd that weلَمَسْنَاsought to touchٱلسَّمَآءَthe heavenفَوَجَدْنَٰهَاbut we found itمُلِئَتْfilled (with)حَرَسًاguardsشَدِيدًاsevereوَشُهُبًاand flaming fires8
وَأَنَّاAnd that weكُنَّاused toنَقْعُدُsitمِنْهَاthere inمَقَٰعِدَpositionsلِلسَّمْعِfor hearingفَمَنbut (he) whoيَسْتَمِعِlistensٱلْءَانَnowيَجِدْwill findلَهُۥfor himشِهَابًاa flaming fireرَّصَدًاwaiting9
وَأَنَّاAnd that we لَاnotنَدْرِىٓwe knowأَشَرٌّwhether evilأُرِيدَis intendedبِمَنfor (those) whoفِى(are) inٱلْأَرْضِthe earthأَمْorأَرَادَintendsبِهِمْfor themرَبُّهُمْtheir Lordرَشَدًاa right path10
وَأَنَّاAnd that [we]مِنَّاamong usٱلصَّٰلِحُونَ(are) the righteousوَمِنَّاand among usدُونَ(are) other thanذَٰلِكَthatكُنَّاWeطَرَآئِقَ(are on) waysقِدَدًاdifferent11
وَأَنَّاAnd that weظَنَنَّآ[we] have become certainأَنthatلَّنneverنُّعْجِزَwe will cause failureٱللَّهَ(to) Allahفِىinٱلْأَرْضِthe earthوَلَنand neverنُّعْجِزَهُۥwe can escape Himهَرَبًا(by) flight12
وَأَنَّاAnd that [we]لَمَّاwhenسَمِعْنَاwe heardٱلْهُدَىٰٓthe Guidanceءَامَنَّاwe believedبِهِۦin itفَمَنAnd whoeverيُؤْمِنۢbelievesبِرَبِّهِۦin his Lordفَلَاthen notيَخَافُhe will fearبَخْسًاany lossوَلَاand notرَهَقًاany burden13
وَأَنَّاAnd that weمِنَّاamong usٱلْمُسْلِمُونَ(are) Muslimsوَمِنَّاand among usٱلْقَٰسِطُونَ(are) unjustفَمَنْAnd whoeverأَسْلَمَsubmitsفَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَthen thoseتَحَرَّوْا۟have soughtرَشَدًا(the) right path14
وَأَلَّوِAnd that ifٱسْتَقَٰمُوا۟they had remainedعَلَىonٱلطَّرِيقَةِthe Wayلَأَسْقَيْنَٰهُمsurely We (would) have given them to drinkمَّآءًwaterغَدَقًا(in) abundance16
لِّنَفْتِنَهُمْThat We might test themفِيهِthereinوَمَنAnd whoeverيُعْرِضْturns awayعَنfromذِكْرِthe Remembranceرَبِّهِۦ(of) his LordيَسْلُكْهُHe will make him enterعَذَابًاa punishmentصَعَدًاsevere17
وَأَنَّAnd thatٱلْمَسَٰجِدَthe masjidsلِلَّهِ(are) for Allahفَلَاso (do) notتَدْعُوا۟callمَعَwithٱللَّهِAllahأَحَدًاanyone18
وَأَنَّهُۥAnd thatلَمَّاwhenقَامَstood upعَبْدُ(the) slaveٱللَّهِ(of) Allahيَدْعُوهُcalling (upon) Himكَادُوا۟they almostيَكُونُونَbecameعَلَيْهِaround himلِبَدًاa compacted mass19
قُلْSayإِنَّمَآOnlyأَدْعُوا۟I call uponرَبِّىmy Lordوَلَآand notأُشْرِكُI associateبِهِۦٓwith Himأَحَدًاanyone20
قُلْSayإِنِّىIndeed, Iلَآ(do) notأَمْلِكُpossessلَكُمْfor youضَرًّاany harmوَلَاand notرَشَدًاright path21
قُلْSayإِنِّىIndeed Iلَنneverيُجِيرَنِىcan protect meمِنَfromٱللَّهِAllahأَحَدٌanyoneوَلَنْand neverأَجِدَcan I findمِنfromدُونِهِۦbesides Himمُلْتَحَدًاany refuge22
إِلَّاButبَلَٰغًا(the) notificationمِّنَfromٱللَّهِAllahوَرِسَٰلَٰتِهِۦand His MessagesوَمَنAnd whoeverيَعْصِdisobeysٱللَّهَAllahوَرَسُولَهُۥand His Messengerفَإِنَّthen indeedلَهُۥfor himنَارَ(is the) Fireجَهَنَّمَ(of) Hellخَٰلِدِينَ(they will) abideفِيهَآthereinأَبَدًاforever23
حَتَّىٰٓUntilإِذَاwhenرَأَوْا۟they seeمَاwhatيُوعَدُونَthey are promisedفَسَيَعْلَمُونَthen they will knowمَنْwhoأَضْعَفُ(is) weakerنَاصِرًا(in) helpersوَأَقَلُّand fewerعَدَدًا(in) number24
قُلْSayإِنْNotأَدْرِىٓI knowأَقَرِيبٌwhether is nearمَّاwhatتُوعَدُونَyou are promisedأَمْor (whether)يَجْعَلُwill appointلَهُۥfor itرَبِّىٓmy Lordأَمَدًاa (distant) term25
عَٰلِمُ(The) All-Knowerٱلْغَيْبِ(of) the unseenفَلَاso notيُظْهِرُHe revealsعَلَىٰfromغَيْبِهِۦٓHis unseenأَحَدًا(to) anyone26
إِلَّاExceptمَنِwhomٱرْتَضَىٰHe has approvedمِنofرَّسُولٍa Messengerفَإِنَّهُۥand indeed, Heيَسْلُكُmakes to marchمِنۢfromبَيْنِbeforeيَدَيْهِhimوَمِنْand fromخَلْفِهِۦbehind himرَصَدًاa guard27
لِّيَعْلَمَThat He may make evidentأَنthatقَدْindeedأَبْلَغُوا۟they have conveyedرِسَٰلَٰتِ(the) Messagesرَبِّهِمْ(of) their Lordوَأَحَاطَand He has encompassedبِمَاwhatلَدَيْهِمْ(is) with themوَأَحْصَىٰand He takes accountكُلَّ(of) allشَىْءٍthingsعَدَدًۢا(in) number28

أَوْOrزِدْaddعَلَيْهِto itوَرَتِّلِand reciteٱلْقُرْءَانَthe Quranتَرْتِيلًا(with) measured rhythmic recitation4
إِنَّIndeedنَاشِئَةَ(the) risingٱلَّيْلِ(at) the nightهِىَitأَشَدُّ(is) very hardوَطْـًٔاand most potentوَأَقْوَمُand more suitableقِيلًا(for) Word6
وَٱذْكُرِAnd rememberٱسْمَ(the) nameرَبِّكَ(of) your Lordوَتَبَتَّلْand devote yourselfإِلَيْهِto Himتَبْتِيلًا(with) devotion8
رَّبُّ(The) Lordٱلْمَشْرِقِ(of) the eastوَٱلْمَغْرِبِand the westلَآ(there is) noإِلَٰهَgodإِلَّاexceptهُوَHimفَٱتَّخِذْهُso take Himوَكِيلًا(as) Disposer of Affairs9
وَٱصْبِرْAnd be patientعَلَىٰoverمَاwhatيَقُولُونَthey sayوَٱهْجُرْهُمْand avoid themهَجْرًاan avoidanceجَمِيلًاgracious10
وَذَرْنِىAnd leave Meوَٱلْمُكَذِّبِينَand the deniersأُو۟لِىpossessorsٱلنَّعْمَةِ(of) the easeوَمَهِّلْهُمْand allow them respite قَلِيلًاa little11
يَوْمَ(On the) Dayتَرْجُفُwill quakeٱلْأَرْضُthe earthوَٱلْجِبَالُand the mountainsوَكَانَتِand will becomeٱلْجِبَالُthe mountainsكَثِيبًاa heap of sandمَّهِيلًاpouring down14
إِنَّآIndeed, Weأَرْسَلْنَآ[We] have sentإِلَيْكُمْto youرَسُولًاa Messengerشَٰهِدًا(as) a witnessعَلَيْكُمْupon youكَمَآasأَرْسَلْنَآWe sentإِلَىٰtoفِرْعَوْنَFiraunرَسُولًاa Messenger15
فَعَصَىٰBut disobeyedفِرْعَوْنُFiraunٱلرَّسُولَthe Messengerفَأَخَذْنَٰهُso We seized himأَخْذًا(with) a seizureوَبِيلًاruinous16
فَكَيْفَThen howتَتَّقُونَwill you guard yourselvesإِنifكَفَرْتُمْyou disbelieveيَوْمًاa Dayيَجْعَلُ(that) will makeٱلْوِلْدَٰنَthe childrenشِيبًاgray-haired17
ٱلسَّمَآءُThe heavenمُنفَطِرٌۢ(will) break apartبِهِۦtherefromكَانَisوَعْدُهُۥHis Promiseمَفْعُولًاto be fulfilled18
إِنَّIndeedهَٰذِهِۦthisتَذْكِرَةٌ(is) a Reminderفَمَنthen whoeverشَآءَwillsٱتَّخَذَ(let him) takeإِلَىٰtoرَبِّهِۦhis Lordسَبِيلًاa way19
إِنَّIndeedرَبَّكَyour Lordيَعْلَمُknowsأَنَّكَthat youتَقُومُstandأَدْنَىٰ(a little) lessمِنthanثُلُثَىِtwo-thirdsٱلَّيْلِ(of) the nightوَنِصْفَهُۥand half of itوَثُلُثَهُۥand a third of itوَطَآئِفَةٌand (so do) a groupمِّنَofٱلَّذِينَthose whoمَعَكَ(are) with youوَٱللَّهُAnd Allahيُقَدِّرُdeterminesٱلَّيْلَthe nightوَٱلنَّهَارَand the dayعَلِمَHe knowsأَنthatلَّنnotتُحْصُوهُyou count itفَتَابَso He has turnedعَلَيْكُمْto youفَٱقْرَءُوا۟so reciteمَاwhatتَيَسَّرَis easyمِنَofٱلْقُرْءَانِthe QuranعَلِمَHe knowsأَنthatسَيَكُونُthere will beمِنكُمamong youمَّرْضَىٰsickوَءَاخَرُونَand othersيَضْرِبُونَtravelingفِىinٱلْأَرْضِthe landيَبْتَغُونَseekingمِنofفَضْلِ(the) Bountyٱللَّهِ(of) Allahوَءَاخَرُونَand othersيُقَٰتِلُونَfightingفِىinسَبِيلِ(the) wayٱللَّهِ(of) Allahفَٱقْرَءُوا۟So reciteمَاwhatتَيَسَّرَis easyمِنْهُof itوَأَقِيمُوا۟and establishٱلصَّلَوٰةَthe prayerوَءَاتُوا۟and giveٱلزَّكَوٰةَthe zakahوَأَقْرِضُوا۟and loanٱللَّهَAllahقَرْضًاa loanحَسَنًاgoodlyوَمَاAnd whateverتُقَدِّمُوا۟you send forthلِأَنفُسِكُمfor yourselvesمِّنْofخَيْرٍgoodتَجِدُوهُyou will find itعِندَwithٱللَّهِAllahهُوَItخَيْرًا(will be) betterوَأَعْظَمَand greaterأَجْرًا(in) rewardوَٱسْتَغْفِرُوا۟And seek forgivenessٱللَّهَ(of) AllahإِنَّIndeedٱللَّهَAllahغَفُورٌ(is) Oft-ForgivingرَّحِيمٌۢMost Merciful20

وَمَاAnd notجَعَلْنَآWe have madeأَصْحَٰبَkeepersٱلنَّارِ(of) the FireإِلَّاexceptمَلَٰٓئِكَةًAngelsوَمَاAnd notجَعَلْنَاWe have madeعِدَّتَهُمْtheir numberإِلَّاexceptفِتْنَةً(as) a trialلِّلَّذِينَfor those whoكَفَرُوا۟disbelieve لِيَسْتَيْقِنَthat may be certainٱلَّذِينَthose whoأُوتُوا۟were givenٱلْكِتَٰبَthe Scriptureوَيَزْدَادَand may increaseٱلَّذِينَthose whoءَامَنُوٓا۟believeإِيمَٰنًا(in) faithوَلَاand notيَرْتَابَmay doubtٱلَّذِينَthose whoأُوتُوا۟were givenٱلْكِتَٰبَthe Scriptureوَٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَand the believersوَلِيَقُولَand that may sayٱلَّذِينَthoseفِىinقُلُوبِهِمtheir heartsمَّرَضٌ(is) a diseaseوَٱلْكَٰفِرُونَand the disbelieversمَاذَآWhatأَرَادَ(does) intendٱللَّهُAllahبِهَٰذَاby thisمَثَلًاexampleكَذَٰلِكَThusيُضِلُّdoes let go astrayٱللَّهُAllahمَنwhomيَشَآءُHe willsوَيَهْدِىand guidesمَنwhomيَشَآءُHe willsوَمَاAnd noneيَعْلَمُknowsجُنُودَ(the) hostsرَبِّكَ(of) your LordإِلَّاexceptهُوَHimوَمَاAnd notهِىَitإِلَّا(is) butذِكْرَىٰa reminderلِلْبَشَرِto (the) human beings31
فَمَاThen whatلَهُمْ(is) for themعَنِ(that) fromٱلتَّذْكِرَةِthe Reminderمُعْرِضِينَthey (are) turning away49
بَلْNayيُرِيدُDesiresكُلُّeveryٱمْرِئٍpersonمِّنْهُمْof themأَنthatيُؤْتَىٰhe may be givenصُحُفًاpagesمُّنَشَّرَةًspread out52
وَمَاAnd notيَذْكُرُونَwill pay heedإِلَّآexceptأَنthatيَشَآءَwillsٱللَّهُAllahهُوَHeأَهْلُ(is) worthyٱلتَّقْوَىٰto be fearedوَأَهْلُand worthyٱلْمَغْفِرَةِto forgive56

بَلْNayيُرِيدُDesiresٱلْإِنسَٰنُ[the] manلِيَفْجُرَto give (the) lieأَمَامَهُۥ(to) what is before him5
يُنَبَّؤُا۟Will be informedٱلْإِنسَٰنُ[the] manيَوْمَئِذٍۢthat Dayبِمَاof whatقَدَّمَhe sent forthوَأَخَّرَand kept back13
أَلَيْسَIs notذَٰلِكَ[that]بِقَٰدِرٍ(He) Ableعَلَىٰٓ[over]أَنtoيُحْۦِىَgive lifeٱلْمَوْتَىٰ(to) the dead40

هَلْHasأَتَىٰ(there) comeعَلَىuponٱلْإِنسَٰنِmanحِينٌa periodمِّنَofٱلدَّهْرِtimeلَمْnotيَكُنhe wasشَيْـًٔاa thingمَّذْكُورًاmentioned1
إِنَّاIndeed, Weخَلَقْنَا[We] createdٱلْإِنسَٰنَmanمِنfromنُّطْفَةٍa semen-dropأَمْشَاجٍa mixtureنَّبْتَلِيهِ(that) We test himفَجَعَلْنَٰهُso We made (for) himسَمِيعًۢاhearingبَصِيرًاand sight2
إِنَّاIndeed, Weهَدَيْنَٰهُguided himٱلسَّبِيلَ(to) the wayإِمَّاwhetherشَاكِرًا(he) be gratefulوَإِمَّاand whetherكَفُورًا(he) be ungrateful3
إِنَّآIndeed, Weأَعْتَدْنَا[We] have preparedلِلْكَٰفِرِينَfor the disbelieversسَلَٰسِلَا۟chainsوَأَغْلَٰلًاand shacklesوَسَعِيرًاand a Blazing Fire4
إِنَّIndeedٱلْأَبْرَارَthe righteousيَشْرَبُونَwill drinkمِنfromكَأْسٍa cupكَانَisمِزَاجُهَاits mixtureكَافُورًا(of) Kafur5
عَيْنًاA spring يَشْرَبُwill drinkبِهَاfrom itعِبَادُ(the) slavesٱللَّهِ(of) Allahيُفَجِّرُونَهَاcausing it to gush forthتَفْجِيرًاabundantly6
يُوفُونَThey fulfillبِٱلنَّذْرِthe vowsوَيَخَافُونَand fearيَوْمًاa Day كَانَ(which) isشَرُّهُۥits evilمُسْتَطِيرًاwidespread7
وَيُطْعِمُونَAnd they feedٱلطَّعَامَthe foodعَلَىٰin spite ofحُبِّهِۦlove (for) itمِسْكِينًا(to the) needyوَيَتِيمًاand (the) orphanوَأَسِيرًاand (the) captive8
إِنَّمَاOnlyنُطْعِمُكُمْwe feed youلِوَجْهِfor (the) Countenanceٱللَّهِ(of) AllahلَاNotنُرِيدُwe desireمِنكُمْfrom youجَزَآءًany rewardوَلَاand notشُكُورًاthanks9
إِنَّاIndeed, weنَخَافُfearمِنfromرَّبِّنَاour Lordيَوْمًاa Day عَبُوسًاharshقَمْطَرِيرًاand distressful10
فَوَقَىٰهُمُBut will protect themٱللَّهُAllahشَرَّ(from the) evilذَٰلِكَ(of) thatٱلْيَوْمِDayوَلَقَّىٰهُمْand will cause them to meetنَضْرَةًradianceوَسُرُورًاand happiness11
وَجَزَىٰهُمAnd will reward themبِمَاbecauseصَبَرُوا۟they were patientجَنَّةً(with) a Gardenوَحَرِيرًاand silk12
مُّتَّكِـِٔينَRecliningفِيهَاthereinعَلَىonٱلْأَرَآئِكِcouchesلَاNotيَرَوْنَthey will seeفِيهَاthereinشَمْسًاsunوَلَاand notزَمْهَرِيرًاfreezing cold13
وَدَانِيَةًAnd nearعَلَيْهِمْabove themظِلَٰلُهَا(are) its shadesوَذُلِّلَتْand will hang lowقُطُوفُهَاits cluster of fruitsتَذْلِيلًاdangling low14
وَيُطَافُAnd will be circulatedعَلَيْهِمamong themبِـَٔانِيَةٍvesselsمِّنofفِضَّةٍsilverوَأَكْوَابٍand cupsكَانَتْ(that) areقَوَارِيرَا(of) crystal15
وَيُسْقَوْنَAnd they will be given to drinkفِيهَاthereinكَأْسًاa cup كَانَisمِزَاجُهَاits mixtureزَنجَبِيلًا(of) Zanjabil17
وَيَطُوفُAnd will circulateعَلَيْهِمْamong themوِلْدَٰنٌyoung boysمُّخَلَّدُونَmade eternalإِذَاWhenرَأَيْتَهُمْyou see themحَسِبْتَهُمْyou would think themلُؤْلُؤًا(to be) pearlsمَّنثُورًاscattered19
وَإِذَاAnd whenرَأَيْتَyou lookثَمَّthenرَأَيْتَyou will seeنَعِيمًاblessingsوَمُلْكًاand a kingdomكَبِيرًاgreat20
عَٰلِيَهُمْUpon themثِيَابُ(will be) garmentsسُندُسٍ(of) fine silkخُضْرٌgreenوَإِسْتَبْرَقٌand heavy brocadeوَحُلُّوٓا۟And they will be adornedأَسَاوِرَ(with) braceletsمِنofفِضَّةٍsilverوَسَقَىٰهُمْand will give them to drinkرَبُّهُمْtheir Lordشَرَابًاa drinkطَهُورًاpure21
إِنَّIndeedهَٰذَاthisكَانَisلَكُمْfor youجَزَآءًa rewardوَكَانَand has beenسَعْيُكُمyour effortمَّشْكُورًاappreciated22
إِنَّاIndeed, Weنَحْنُ[We]نَزَّلْنَا[We] revealedعَلَيْكَto youٱلْقُرْءَانَthe Quranتَنزِيلًاprogressively23
فَٱصْبِرْSo be patientلِحُكْمِfor (the) Commandرَبِّكَ(of) your Lordوَلَاand (do) notتُطِعْobeyمِنْهُمْfrom themءَاثِمًاany sinnerأَوْorكَفُورًاdisbeliever24
وَمِنَAnd ofٱلَّيْلِthe nightفَٱسْجُدْprostrateلَهُۥto Himوَسَبِّحْهُand glorify Himلَيْلًاa nightطَوِيلًاlong26
إِنَّIndeedهَٰٓؤُلَآءِtheseيُحِبُّونَloveٱلْعَاجِلَةَthe immediateوَيَذَرُونَand leaveوَرَآءَهُمْbehind themيَوْمًاa Dayثَقِيلًاgrave27
نَّحْنُWeخَلَقْنَٰهُمْcreated themوَشَدَدْنَآand We strengthenedأَسْرَهُمْtheir formsوَإِذَاand whenشِئْنَاWe willبَدَّلْنَآWe can changeأَمْثَٰلَهُمْtheir likeness[es]تَبْدِيلًا(with) a change28
إِنَّIndeedهَٰذِهِۦthisتَذْكِرَةٌ(is) a reminderفَمَنso whoeverشَآءَwillsٱتَّخَذَlet him takeإِلَىٰtoرَبِّهِۦhis Lordسَبِيلًاa way29
وَمَاAnd notتَشَآءُونَyou willإِلَّآexceptأَنthatيَشَآءَwillsٱللَّهُAllahإِنَّIndeedٱللَّهَAllahكَانَisعَلِيمًاAll-KnowerحَكِيمًاAll-Wise30
يُدْخِلُHe admitsمَنwhomيَشَآءُHe willsفِىintoرَحْمَتِهِۦHis mercyوَٱلظَّٰلِمِينَbut (for) the wrongdoersأَعَدَّHe has preparedلَهُمْfor themعَذَابًاa punishmentأَلِيمًۢاpainful31

وَجَعَلْنَاAnd We madeفِيهَاthereinرَوَٰسِىَfirmly set mountainsشَٰمِخَٰتٍloftyوَأَسْقَيْنَٰكُمand We gave you to drinkمَّآءًwater فُرَاتًاsweet27
هَٰذَاThisيَوْمُ(is the) Dayٱلْفَصْلِ(of) JudgmentجَمَعْنَٰكُمْWe have gathered youوَٱلْأَوَّلِينَand the former (people)38
كُلُوا۟Eatوَٱشْرَبُوا۟and drinkهَنِيٓـًٔۢا(in) satisfactionبِمَاfor whatكُنتُمْyou used toتَعْمَلُونَdo43
كُلُوا۟Eatوَتَمَتَّعُوا۟and enjoy yourselvesقَلِيلًاa littleإِنَّكُمindeed, youمُّجْرِمُونَ(are) criminals46
