تَنزِيلُ(The) revelationٱلْكِتَٰبِ(of) the Bookمِنَ(is) fromٱللَّهِAllahٱلْعَزِيزِthe All-Mightyٱلْحَكِيمِthe All-Wise2
مَاNotخَلَقْنَاWe createdٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِthe heavensوَٱلْأَرْضَand the earthوَمَاand whatبَيْنَهُمَآ(is) between both of themإِلَّاexceptبِٱلْحَقِّin truthوَأَجَلٍand (for) a termمُّسَمًّىappointedوَٱلَّذِينَBut those whoكَفَرُوا۟disbelieveعَمَّآfrom whatأُنذِرُوا۟they are warnedمُعْرِضُونَ(are) turning away3
قُلْSayأَرَءَيْتُمDo you seeمَّاwhatتَدْعُونَyou callمِنbesidesدُونِbesidesٱللَّهِAllahأَرُونِىShow meمَاذَاwhatخَلَقُوا۟they have createdمِنَofٱلْأَرْضِthe earthأَمْorلَهُمْfor themشِرْكٌ(is) any shareفِىinٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِthe heavensٱئْتُونِىBring meبِكِتَٰبٍa bookمِّنfromقَبْلِbeforeهَٰذَآthisأَوْorأَثَٰرَةٍa traceمِّنْofعِلْمٍknowledgeإِنifكُنتُمْyou areصَٰدِقِينَtruthful4
وَمَنْAnd whoأَضَلُّ(is) more astrayمِمَّنthan (he) whoيَدْعُوا۟callsمِنbesidesدُونِbesidesٱللَّهِAllahمَنwhoلَّاwill not respondيَسْتَجِيبُwill not respondلَهُۥٓto himإِلَىٰuntilيَوْمِ(the) Dayٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ(of) Resurrectionوَهُمْand theyعَنofدُعَآئِهِمْtheir callsغَٰفِلُونَ(are) unaware5
وَإِذَاAnd whenحُشِرَare gatheredٱلنَّاسُthe peopleكَانُوا۟they will beلَهُمْfor themأَعْدَآءًenemiesوَكَانُوا۟and they will beبِعِبَادَتِهِمْof their worshipكَٰفِرِينَdeniers6
وَإِذَاAnd whenتُتْلَىٰare recitedعَلَيْهِمْto themءَايَٰتُنَاOur Versesبَيِّنَٰتٍclearقَالَsayٱلَّذِينَthose whoكَفَرُوا۟disbelieveلِلْحَقِّof the truthلَمَّاwhenجَآءَهُمْit comes to themهَٰذَاThisسِحْرٌ(is) a magicمُّبِينٌclear7
أَمْOrيَقُولُونَthey sayٱفْتَرَىٰهُHe has invented itقُلْSayإِنِIfٱفْتَرَيْتُهُۥI have invented itفَلَاthen notتَمْلِكُونَyou have powerلِىfor meمِنَagainstٱللَّهِAllahشَيْـًٔاanythingهُوَHeأَعْلَمُknows bestبِمَاof whatتُفِيضُونَyou utterفِيهِconcerning itكَفَىٰSufficient is HeبِهِۦSufficient is Heشَهِيدًۢا(as) a Witnessبَيْنِىbetween meوَبَيْنَكُمْand between youوَهُوَand Heٱلْغَفُورُ(is) the Oft-Forgivingٱلرَّحِيمُthe Most Merciful8
قُلْSayمَاNotكُنتُI amبِدْعًاa new (one)مِّنَamongٱلرُّسُلِthe Messengersوَمَآand notأَدْرِىI knowمَاwhatيُفْعَلُwill be doneبِىwith meوَلَاand notبِكُمْwith youإِنْNotأَتَّبِعُI followإِلَّاbutمَاwhatيُوحَىٰٓis revealedإِلَىَّto meوَمَآand notأَنَاI amإِلَّاbutنَذِيرٌa warnerمُّبِينٌclear9
قُلْSayأَرَءَيْتُمْDo you seeإِنifكَانَit isمِنْfrom Allahعِندِfrom Allahٱللَّهِfrom Allahوَكَفَرْتُمand you disbelieveبِهِۦin itوَشَهِدَand testifiesشَاهِدٌa witnessمِّنۢfromبَنِىٓ(the) Children of Israelإِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ(the) Children of Israelعَلَىٰtoمِثْلِهِۦ(the) like thereofفَـَٔامَنَthen he believedوَٱسْتَكْبَرْتُمْwhile you are arrogantإِنَّIndeedٱللَّهَAllahلَا(does) notيَهْدِىguideٱلْقَوْمَthe peopleٱلظَّٰلِمِينَthe wrongdoers10
وَقَالَAnd sayٱلَّذِينَthose whoكَفَرُوا۟disbelieveلِلَّذِينَof those whoءَامَنُوا۟believeلَوْIfكَانَit had beenخَيْرًاgoodمَّاnotسَبَقُونَآthey (would) have preceded usإِلَيْهِto itوَإِذْAnd whenلَمْnotيَهْتَدُوا۟they (are) guidedبِهِۦby itفَسَيَقُولُونَthey sayهَٰذَآThisإِفْكٌ(is) a lieقَدِيمٌancient11
وَمِنAnd before itقَبْلِهِۦAnd before itكِتَٰبُ(was the) Scriptureمُوسَىٰٓ(of) Musaإِمَامًا(as) a guideوَرَحْمَةًand a mercyوَهَٰذَاAnd thisكِتَٰبٌ(is) a Bookمُّصَدِّقٌconfirmingلِّسَانًا(in) languageعَرَبِيًّاArabicلِّيُنذِرَto warnٱلَّذِينَthose whoظَلَمُوا۟do wrongوَبُشْرَىٰand (as) glad tidingsلِلْمُحْسِنِينَfor the good-doers12
إِنَّIndeedٱلَّذِينَthose whoقَالُوا۟sayرَبُّنَاOur Lordٱللَّهُ(is) Allahثُمَّthenٱسْتَقَٰمُوا۟remain firmفَلَاthen noخَوْفٌfearعَلَيْهِمْon themوَلَاand notهُمْtheyيَحْزَنُونَwill grieve13
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَThoseأَصْحَٰبُ(are the) companionsٱلْجَنَّةِ(of) Paradiseخَٰلِدِينَabiding foreverفِيهَاthereinجَزَآءًۢa rewardبِمَاfor whatكَانُوا۟they used toيَعْمَلُونَdo14
وَوَصَّيْنَاAnd We have enjoinedٱلْإِنسَٰنَ(on) manبِوَٰلِدَيْهِto his parentsإِحْسَٰنًاkindnessحَمَلَتْهُCarried himأُمُّهُۥhis motherكُرْهًا(with) hardshipوَوَضَعَتْهُand gave birth to himكُرْهًا(with) hardshipوَحَمْلُهُۥAnd (the) bearing of himوَفِصَٰلُهُۥand (the) weaning of himثَلَٰثُونَ(is) thirtyشَهْرًاmonth(s)حَتَّىٰٓuntilإِذَاwhenبَلَغَhe reachesأَشُدَّهُۥhis maturityوَبَلَغَand reachesأَرْبَعِينَfortyسَنَةًyear(s)قَالَhe saysرَبِّMy Lordأَوْزِعْنِىٓgrant me (the) powerأَنْthatأَشْكُرَI may be gratefulنِعْمَتَكَ(for) Your favorٱلَّتِىٓwhichأَنْعَمْتَYou have bestowedعَلَىَّupon meوَعَلَىٰand uponوَٰلِدَىَّmy parentsوَأَنْand thatأَعْمَلَI doصَٰلِحًاrighteous (deeds)تَرْضَىٰهُwhich please Youوَأَصْلِحْand make righteousلِىfor meفِىamongذُرِّيَّتِىٓmy offspringإِنِّىindeedتُبْتُI turnإِلَيْكَto Youوَإِنِّىand indeed, I amمِنَofٱلْمُسْلِمِينَthose who submit15
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَThoseٱلَّذِينَ(are) the onesنَتَقَبَّلُWe will acceptعَنْهُمْfrom themأَحْسَنَ(the) bestمَا(of) whatعَمِلُوا۟they didوَنَتَجَاوَزُand We will overlookعَن[from]سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمْtheir evil deedsفِىٓamongأَصْحَٰبِ(the) companionsٱلْجَنَّةِ(of) ParadiseوَعْدَA promiseٱلصِّدْقِtrueٱلَّذِىwhichكَانُوا۟they wereيُوعَدُونَpromised16
وَٱلَّذِىBut the one whoقَالَsaysلِوَٰلِدَيْهِto his parentsأُفٍّUffلَّكُمَآto both of youأَتَعِدَانِنِىٓDo you promise meأَنْthatأُخْرَجَI will be brought forthوَقَدْand have already passed awayخَلَتِand have already passed awayٱلْقُرُونُthe generationsمِنbefore meقَبْلِىbefore meوَهُمَاAnd they bothيَسْتَغِيثَانِseek helpٱللَّهَ(of) AllahوَيْلَكَWoe to youءَامِنْBelieveإِنَّIndeedوَعْدَ(the) Promiseٱللَّهِ(of) Allahحَقٌّ(is) trueفَيَقُولُBut he saysمَاNotهَٰذَآ(is) thisإِلَّآbutأَسَٰطِيرُ(the) storiesٱلْأَوَّلِينَ(of) the former (people)17
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَThose ٱلَّذِينَ(are) the onesحَقَّ(has) proved trueعَلَيْهِمُagainst themٱلْقَوْلُthe wordفِىٓamongأُمَمٍnationsقَدْ(that) already passed awayخَلَتْ(that) already passed awayمِنbefore themقَبْلِهِمbefore themمِّنَofٱلْجِنِّ(the) jinnوَٱلْإِنسِand the menإِنَّهُمْIndeed, theyكَانُوا۟areخَٰسِرِينَ(the) losers18
وَلِكُلٍّAnd for allدَرَجَٰتٌ(are) degreesمِّمَّاfor whatعَمِلُوا۟they didوَلِيُوَفِّيَهُمْand that He may fully compensate themأَعْمَٰلَهُمْ(for) their deedsوَهُمْand theyلَاwill not be wrongedيُظْلَمُونَwill not be wronged19
وَيَوْمَAnd (the) Dayيُعْرَضُwill be exposedٱلَّذِينَthose whoكَفَرُوا۟disbelievedعَلَىtoٱلنَّارِthe FireأَذْهَبْتُمْYou exhaustedطَيِّبَٰتِكُمْyour good thingsفِىinحَيَاتِكُمُyour lifeٱلدُّنْيَا(of) the worldوَٱسْتَمْتَعْتُمand you took your pleasuresبِهَاthereinفَٱلْيَوْمَSo todayتُجْزَوْنَyou will be recompensedعَذَابَ(with) a punishmentٱلْهُونِhumiliatingبِمَاbecauseكُنتُمْyou wereتَسْتَكْبِرُونَarrogantفِىinٱلْأَرْضِthe earthبِغَيْرِwithoutٱلْحَقِّ[the] rightوَبِمَاand becauseكُنتُمْyou wereتَفْسُقُونَdefiantly disobedient20
وَٱذْكُرْAnd mentionأَخَا(the) brotherعَادٍ(of) Aadإِذْwhenأَنذَرَhe warnedقَوْمَهُۥhis peopleبِٱلْأَحْقَافِin the Al-Ahqaf وَقَدْand had already passed awayخَلَتِand had already passed awayٱلنُّذُرُ[the] warnersمِنۢbefore himبَيْنِbefore himيَدَيْهِbefore himوَمِنْand after himخَلْفِهِۦٓand after himأَلَّاThat notتَعْبُدُوٓا۟you worshipإِلَّاexceptٱللَّهَAllahإِنِّىٓIndeed, Iأَخَافُ[I] fearعَلَيْكُمْfor youعَذَابَa punishmentيَوْمٍ(of) a DayعَظِيمٍGreat21
قَالُوٓا۟They saidأَجِئْتَنَاHave you come to usلِتَأْفِكَنَاto turn us awayعَنْfromءَالِهَتِنَاour godsفَأْتِنَاThen bring usبِمَاwhatتَعِدُنَآyou threaten usإِنifكُنتَyou areمِنَofٱلصَّٰدِقِينَthe truthful22
قَالَHe saidإِنَّمَاOnlyٱلْعِلْمُthe knowledgeعِندَ(is) with Allahٱللَّهِ(is) with Allahوَأُبَلِّغُكُمand I convey to youمَّآwhatأُرْسِلْتُI am sentبِهِۦwith itوَلَٰكِنِّىٓbutأَرَىٰكُمْI see youقَوْمًاa peopleتَجْهَلُونَignorant23
فَلَمَّاThen whenرَأَوْهُthey saw itعَارِضًا(as) a cloudمُّسْتَقْبِلَapproachingأَوْدِيَتِهِمْtheir valleysقَالُوا۟they saidهَٰذَاThisعَارِضٌ(is) a cloudمُّمْطِرُنَاbringing us rainبَلْNayهُوَitمَا(is) whatٱسْتَعْجَلْتُمyou were asking it to be hastenedبِهِۦyou were asking it to be hastenedرِيحٌa windفِيهَاin itعَذَابٌ(is) a punishmentأَلِيمٌpainful24
تُدَمِّرُDestroyingكُلَّeveryشَىْءٍۢthingبِأَمْرِby (the) commandرَبِّهَا(of) its Lordفَأَصْبَحُوا۟Then they became (such)لَاnotيُرَىٰٓis seenإِلَّاexceptمَسَٰكِنُهُمْtheir dwellingsكَذَٰلِكَThusنَجْزِىWe recompenseٱلْقَوْمَthe peopleٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ[the] criminals25
وَلَقَدْAnd certainlyمَكَّنَّٰهُمْWe had established themفِيمَآin whatإِنnotمَّكَّنَّٰكُمْWe have established youفِيهِin itوَجَعَلْنَاand We madeلَهُمْfor themسَمْعًاhearingوَأَبْصَٰرًاand visionوَأَفْـِٔدَةًand heartsفَمَآBut notأَغْنَىٰavailedعَنْهُمْthemسَمْعُهُمْtheir hearingوَلَآand notأَبْصَٰرُهُمْtheir visionوَلَآand notأَفْـِٔدَتُهُمtheir heartsمِّنanyشَىْءٍthingإِذْwhenكَانُوا۟they wereيَجْحَدُونَrejectingبِـَٔايَٰتِ(the) Signsٱللَّهِ(of) Allahوَحَاقَand envelopedبِهِمthemمَّاwhatكَانُوا۟they used toبِهِۦ[at it]يَسْتَهْزِءُونَridicule26
وَلَقَدْAnd certainlyأَهْلَكْنَاWe destroyedمَاwhatحَوْلَكُمsurrounds youمِّنَofٱلْقُرَىٰthe townsوَصَرَّفْنَاand We have diversifiedٱلْءَايَٰتِthe Signsلَعَلَّهُمْthat they mayيَرْجِعُونَreturn27
فَلَوْلَاThen why (did) notنَصَرَهُمُhelp themٱلَّذِينَthose whomٱتَّخَذُوا۟they had takenمِنbesidesدُونِbesidesٱللَّهِAllahقُرْبَانًاgods as a way of approachءَالِهَةًۢgods as a way of approachبَلْNayضَلُّوا۟they were lostعَنْهُمْfrom themوَذَٰلِكَAnd thatإِفْكُهُمْ(was) their falsehoodوَمَاand whatكَانُوا۟they wereيَفْتَرُونَinventing28
وَإِذْAnd whenصَرَفْنَآWe directedإِلَيْكَto youنَفَرًاa partyمِّنَofٱلْجِنِّthe jinnيَسْتَمِعُونَlisteningٱلْقُرْءَانَ(to) the QuranفَلَمَّاAnd whenحَضَرُوهُthey attended itقَالُوٓا۟they saidأَنصِتُوا۟Listen quietlyفَلَمَّاAnd whenقُضِىَit was concludedوَلَّوْا۟they turned backإِلَىٰtoقَوْمِهِمtheir peopleمُّنذِرِينَ(as) warners29
قَالُوا۟They saidيَٰقَوْمَنَآO our peopleإِنَّاIndeed, weسَمِعْنَا[we] have heardكِتَٰبًاa BookأُنزِلَrevealedمِنۢafterبَعْدِafterمُوسَىٰMusaمُصَدِّقًاconfirmingلِّمَاwhatبَيْنَ(was) before itيَدَيْهِ(was) before itيَهْدِىٓguidingإِلَىtoٱلْحَقِّthe truthوَإِلَىٰand toطَرِيقٍa PathمُّسْتَقِيمٍStraight30
يَٰقَوْمَنَآO our peopleأَجِيبُوا۟Respondدَاعِىَ(to the) callerٱللَّهِ(of) Allahوَءَامِنُوا۟and believeبِهِۦin himيَغْفِرْHe will forgiveلَكُمfor youمِّنofذُنُوبِكُمْyour sinsوَيُجِرْكُمand will protect youمِّنْfromعَذَابٍa punishmentأَلِيمٍpainful31
وَمَنAnd whoeverلَّا(does) notيُجِبْrespondدَاعِىَ(to the) callerٱللَّهِ(of) Allahفَلَيْسَthen notبِمُعْجِزٍhe can escapeفِىinٱلْأَرْضِthe earthوَلَيْسَand notلَهُۥfor himمِنbesides Himدُونِهِۦٓbesides Himأَوْلِيَآءُprotectorsأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَThoseفِى(are) inضَلَٰلٍerrorمُّبِينٍclear32
أَوَلَمْDo notيَرَوْا۟they seeأَنَّthatٱللَّهَAllahٱلَّذِى(is) the One Whoخَلَقَcreatedٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِthe heavensوَٱلْأَرْضَand the earthوَلَمْand (was) notيَعْىَtiredبِخَلْقِهِنَّby their creationبِقَٰدِرٍ(is) ableعَلَىٰٓto give lifeأَنto give lifeيُحْۦِىَto give lifeٱلْمَوْتَىٰ(to) the deadبَلَىٰٓYesإِنَّهُۥindeed Heعَلَىٰ(is) onكُلِّeveryشَىْءٍthingقَدِيرٌAll-Powerful33
وَيَوْمَAnd (the) Dayيُعْرَضُare exposedٱلَّذِينَthose whoكَفَرُوا۟disbelievedعَلَىtoٱلنَّارِthe FireأَلَيْسَIs notهَٰذَاthisبِٱلْحَقِّthe truthقَالُوا۟They will sayبَلَىٰYesوَرَبِّنَاby our LordقَالَHe will sayفَذُوقُوا۟Then tasteٱلْعَذَابَthe punishmentبِمَاbecauseكُنتُمْyou used toتَكْفُرُونَdisbelieve34
فَٱصْبِرْSo be patientكَمَاasصَبَرَhad patienceأُو۟لُوا۟those of determinationٱلْعَزْمِthose of determinationمِنَofٱلرُّسُلِthe Messengersوَلَاand (do) notتَسْتَعْجِلseek to hastenلَّهُمْfor themكَأَنَّهُمْAs if they hadيَوْمَ(the) Dayيَرَوْنَthey seeمَاwhatيُوعَدُونَthey were promisedلَمْnotيَلْبَثُوٓا۟remainedإِلَّاexceptسَاعَةًan hourمِّنofنَّهَارٍۢa dayبَلَٰغٌA notificationفَهَلْBut willيُهْلَكُ(any) be destroyedإِلَّاexceptٱلْقَوْمُthe people ٱلْفَٰسِقُونَthe defiantly disobedient35

ذَٰلِكَThatبِأَنَّ(is) becauseٱلَّذِينَthose whoكَفَرُوا۟disbelieveٱتَّبَعُوا۟followٱلْبَٰطِلَfalsehoodوَأَنَّand thatٱلَّذِينَthose whoءَامَنُوا۟believeٱتَّبَعُوا۟followٱلْحَقَّ(the) truthمِنfromرَّبِّهِمْtheir LordكَذَٰلِكَThusيَضْرِبُAllah presentsٱللَّهُAllah presentsلِلنَّاسِto the peopleأَمْثَٰلَهُمْtheir similitudes3
فَإِذَاSo whenلَقِيتُمُyou meetٱلَّذِينَthose whoكَفَرُوا۟disbelieveفَضَرْبَthen strikeٱلرِّقَابِthe necksحَتَّىٰٓuntilإِذَآwhenأَثْخَنتُمُوهُمْyou have subdued themفَشُدُّوا۟then bind firmlyٱلْوَثَاقَthe bondفَإِمَّاthen eitherمَنًّۢاa favorبَعْدُafterwardsوَإِمَّاorفِدَآءًransomحَتَّىٰuntilتَضَعَlays downٱلْحَرْبُthe warأَوْزَارَهَاits burdensذَٰلِكَThatوَلَوْAnd ifيَشَآءُAllah had willedٱللَّهُAllah had willedلَٱنتَصَرَsurely, He could have taken retributionمِنْهُمْfrom themوَلَٰكِنbutلِّيَبْلُوَا۟to testبَعْضَكُمsome of youبِبَعْضٍwith othersوَٱلَّذِينَAnd those whoقُتِلُوا۟are killedفِىinسَبِيلِ(the) way of Allahٱللَّهِ(the) way of Allahفَلَنthen neverيُضِلَّHe will cause to be lostأَعْمَٰلَهُمْtheir deeds4
يَٰٓأَيُّهَاO you who believeٱلَّذِينَO you who believeءَامَنُوٓا۟O you who believeإِنIfتَنصُرُوا۟you helpٱللَّهَAllahيَنصُرْكُمْHe will help youوَيُثَبِّتْand make firmأَقْدَامَكُمْyour feet7
وَٱلَّذِينَBut those whoكَفَرُوا۟disbelieveفَتَعْسًاdestruction (is)لَّهُمْfor themوَأَضَلَّand He will cause to be lostأَعْمَٰلَهُمْtheir deeds8
ذَٰلِكَThatبِأَنَّهُمْ(is) because theyكَرِهُوا۟hateمَآwhatأَنزَلَAllah has revealedٱللَّهُAllah has revealedفَأَحْبَطَso He has made worthlessأَعْمَٰلَهُمْtheir deeds9
أَفَلَمْDo notيَسِيرُوا۟they travelفِىinٱلْأَرْضِthe earthفَيَنظُرُوا۟and seeكَيْفَhowكَانَwasعَٰقِبَةُ(the) endٱلَّذِينَ(of) thoseمِنbefore themقَبْلِهِمْbefore themدَمَّرَAllah destroyedٱللَّهُAllah destroyedعَلَيْهِمْ[over] themوَلِلْكَٰفِرِينَand for the disbelieversأَمْثَٰلُهَاits likeness10
ذَٰلِكَThatبِأَنَّ(is) becauseٱللَّهَAllahمَوْلَى(is the) Protectorٱلَّذِينَ(of) those whoءَامَنُوا۟believeوَأَنَّand thatٱلْكَٰفِرِينَthe disbelievers لَا(there is) noمَوْلَىٰprotectorلَهُمْfor them11
إِنَّIndeedٱللَّهَAllahيُدْخِلُwill admitٱلَّذِينَthose whoءَامَنُوا۟believeوَعَمِلُوا۟and doٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِrighteous deedsجَنَّٰتٍ(to) Gardensتَجْرِىflowمِنfromتَحْتِهَاunderneath itٱلْأَنْهَٰرُthe riversوَٱلَّذِينَbut those whoكَفَرُوا۟disbelieveيَتَمَتَّعُونَthey enjoyوَيَأْكُلُونَand eatكَمَاasتَأْكُلُeatٱلْأَنْعَٰمُthe cattleوَٱلنَّارُand the Fireمَثْوًى(will be) an abodeلَّهُمْfor them12
وَكَأَيِّنAnd how manyمِّنofقَرْيَةٍa townهِىَwhichأَشَدُّ(was) strongerقُوَّةً(in) strengthمِّنthanقَرْيَتِكَyour townٱلَّتِىٓwhichأَخْرَجَتْكَhas driven you outأَهْلَكْنَٰهُمْWe destroyed themفَلَاso noنَاصِرَhelperلَهُمْfor them13
أَفَمَنThen is (he) whoكَانَisعَلَىٰonبَيِّنَةٍa clear proofمِّنfromرَّبِّهِۦhis Lordكَمَنlike (he) whoزُيِّنَis made attractiveلَهُۥto himسُوٓءُ(the) evilعَمَلِهِۦ(of) his deedsوَٱتَّبَعُوٓا۟while they followأَهْوَآءَهُمtheir desires14
مَّثَلُA parableٱلْجَنَّةِ(of) Paradiseٱلَّتِىwhichوُعِدَis promisedٱلْمُتَّقُونَ(to) the righteousفِيهَآThereinأَنْهَٰرٌ(are) riversمِّنofمَّآءٍwaterغَيْرِnotءَاسِنٍpollutedوَأَنْهَٰرٌand riversمِّنofلَّبَنٍmilkلَّمْnotيَتَغَيَّرْchangesطَعْمُهُۥits tasteوَأَنْهَٰرٌand riversمِّنْofخَمْرٍwineلَّذَّةٍdeliciousلِّلشَّٰرِبِينَfor (the) drinkersوَأَنْهَٰرٌand riversمِّنْofعَسَلٍhoneyمُّصَفًّىpurifiedوَلَهُمْand for themفِيهَاthereinمِنofكُلِّallٱلثَّمَرَٰتِfruitsوَمَغْفِرَةٌand forgivenessمِّنfromرَّبِّهِمْtheir Lordكَمَنْlike he whoهُوَlike he whoخَٰلِدٌ(will) abide foreverفِىinٱلنَّارِthe Fireوَسُقُوا۟and they will be given to drinkمَآءًwaterحَمِيمًاboilingفَقَطَّعَso it cuts into piecesأَمْعَآءَهُمْtheir intestines15
وَمِنْهُمAnd among themمَّن(are some) whoيَسْتَمِعُlistenإِلَيْكَto youحَتَّىٰٓuntilإِذَاwhenخَرَجُوا۟they departمِنْfromعِندِكَyouقَالُوا۟they sayلِلَّذِينَto those whoأُوتُوا۟were givenٱلْعِلْمَthe knowledgeمَاذَاWhatقَالَ(has) he saidءَانِفًاjust nowأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَThose ٱلَّذِينَ(are) the onesطَبَعَAllah has set a sealٱللَّهُAllah has set a sealعَلَىٰuponقُلُوبِهِمْtheir heartsوَٱتَّبَعُوٓا۟and they followأَهْوَآءَهُمْtheir desires16
وَٱلَّذِينَAnd those whoٱهْتَدَوْا۟accept guidanceزَادَهُمْHe increases themهُدًى(in) guidanceوَءَاتَىٰهُمْand gives themتَقْوَىٰهُمْtheir righteousness17
فَهَلْThen doيَنظُرُونَthey waitإِلَّاbutٱلسَّاعَةَ(for) the Hourأَنthatتَأْتِيَهُمit should come to themبَغْتَةًsuddenlyفَقَدْBut indeedجَآءَhave comeأَشْرَاطُهَاits indicationsفَأَنَّىٰThen howلَهُمْto themإِذَاwhenجَآءَتْهُمْhas come to themذِكْرَىٰهُمْtheir reminder18
فَٱعْلَمْSo knowأَنَّهُۥthat [He] لَآ(there is) noإِلَٰهَgodإِلَّاbutٱللَّهُAllahوَٱسْتَغْفِرْand ask forgivenessلِذَنۢبِكَfor your sinوَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَand for the believing menوَٱلْمُؤْمِنَٰتِand the believing womenوَٱللَّهُAnd Allahيَعْلَمُknowsمُتَقَلَّبَكُمْyour movementوَمَثْوَىٰكُمْand your resting places19
وَيَقُولُAnd sayٱلَّذِينَthose whoءَامَنُوا۟believeلَوْلَاWhy notنُزِّلَتْhas been revealedسُورَةٌa SurahفَإِذَآBut whenأُنزِلَتْis revealedسُورَةٌa Surahمُّحْكَمَةٌpreciseوَذُكِرَand is mentionedفِيهَاin itٱلْقِتَالُthe fightingرَأَيْتَyou seeٱلَّذِينَthose whoفِىinقُلُوبِهِمtheir heartsمَّرَضٌ(is) a diseaseيَنظُرُونَlookingإِلَيْكَat you نَظَرَa lookٱلْمَغْشِىِّ(of) one faintingعَلَيْهِ(of) one faintingمِنَfromٱلْمَوْتِthe deathفَأَوْلَىٰBut more appropriateلَهُمْfor them20
طَاعَةٌ(Is) obedienceوَقَوْلٌand a wordمَّعْرُوفٌkindفَإِذَاAnd whenعَزَمَ(is) determinedٱلْأَمْرُthe matterفَلَوْthen ifصَدَقُوا۟they had been trueٱللَّهَ(to) Allahلَكَانَsurely, it would have beenخَيْرًاbetterلَّهُمْfor them21
فَهَلْThen wouldعَسَيْتُمْyou perhapsإِنifتَوَلَّيْتُمْyou are given authorityأَنthatتُفْسِدُوا۟you cause corruptionفِىinٱلْأَرْضِthe earthوَتُقَطِّعُوٓا۟and cut offأَرْحَامَكُمْyour ties of kinship22
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَThoseٱلَّذِينَ(are) the onesلَعَنَهُمُAllah has cursed themٱللَّهُAllah has cursed themفَأَصَمَّهُمْso He made them deafوَأَعْمَىٰٓand blindedأَبْصَٰرَهُمْtheir vision23
أَفَلَاThen do notيَتَدَبَّرُونَthey ponderٱلْقُرْءَانَ(over) the Quranأَمْorعَلَىٰuponقُلُوبٍ(their) heartsأَقْفَالُهَآ(are) locks24
إِنَّIndeedٱلَّذِينَthose whoٱرْتَدُّوا۟returnعَلَىٰٓonأَدْبَٰرِهِمtheir backsمِّنۢafterبَعْدِafterمَاwhatتَبَيَّنَ(has) become clearلَهُمُto themٱلْهُدَى(of) the guidanceٱلشَّيْطَٰنُShaitaanسَوَّلَenticedلَهُمْ[for] themوَأَمْلَىٰand prolonged hopeلَهُمْfor them25
ذَٰلِكَThatبِأَنَّهُمْ(is) because theyقَالُوا۟[they] saidلِلَّذِينَto those whoكَرِهُوا۟hateمَاwhatنَزَّلَAllah has revealedٱللَّهُAllah has revealedسَنُطِيعُكُمْWe will obey youفِىinبَعْضِpartٱلْأَمْرِ(of) the matterوَٱللَّهُBut Allahيَعْلَمُknowsإِسْرَارَهُمْtheir secrets26
فَكَيْفَThen howإِذَاwhenتَوَفَّتْهُمُtake them in deathٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُthe Angelsيَضْرِبُونَstrikingوُجُوهَهُمْtheir facesوَأَدْبَٰرَهُمْand their backs27
ذَٰلِكَThatبِأَنَّهُمُ(is) because theyٱتَّبَعُوا۟followedمَآwhatأَسْخَطَangeredٱللَّهَAllahوَكَرِهُوا۟and hatedرِضْوَٰنَهُۥHis pleasureفَأَحْبَطَso He made worthlessأَعْمَٰلَهُمْtheir deeds28
أَمْOr doحَسِبَthinkٱلَّذِينَthose whoفِىinقُلُوبِهِمtheir heartsمَّرَضٌ(is) a diseaseأَنthatلَّنneverيُخْرِجَwill Allah bring forthٱللَّهُwill Allah bring forthأَضْغَٰنَهُمْtheir hatred29
وَلَوْAnd ifنَشَآءُWe willedلَأَرَيْنَٰكَهُمْsurely, We could show them to youفَلَعَرَفْتَهُمand you would know themبِسِيمَٰهُمْby their marksوَلَتَعْرِفَنَّهُمْbut surely, you will know themفِىbyلَحْنِ(the) toneٱلْقَوْلِ(of their) speechوَٱللَّهُAnd Allahيَعْلَمُknowsأَعْمَٰلَكُمْyour deeds30
وَلَنَبْلُوَنَّكُمْAnd surely We will test youحَتَّىٰuntilنَعْلَمَWe make evidentٱلْمُجَٰهِدِينَthose who striveمِنكُمْamong youوَٱلصَّٰبِرِينَand the patient onesوَنَبْلُوَا۟and We will testأَخْبَارَكُمْyour affairs31
إِنَّIndeedٱلَّذِينَthose whoكَفَرُوا۟disbelieveوَصَدُّوا۟and turn awayعَنfromسَبِيلِ(the) way of Allahٱللَّهِ(the) way of Allahوَشَآقُّوا۟and opposeٱلرَّسُولَthe Messengerمِنۢafterبَعْدِafterمَا[what]تَبَيَّنَ(has been) made clearلَهُمُto themٱلْهُدَىٰthe guidanceلَنneverيَضُرُّوا۟will they harmٱللَّهَAllahشَيْـًٔا(in) anythingوَسَيُحْبِطُand He will make worthlessأَعْمَٰلَهُمْtheir deeds32
يَٰٓأَيُّهَاO you who believeٱلَّذِينَO you who believeءَامَنُوٓا۟O you who believeأَطِيعُوا۟ObeyٱللَّهَAllahوَأَطِيعُوا۟and obeyٱلرَّسُولَthe Messengerوَلَاand (do) notتُبْطِلُوٓا۟make vainأَعْمَٰلَكُمْyour deeds33
إِنَّIndeedٱلَّذِينَthose whoكَفَرُوا۟disbelieveوَصَدُّوا۟and turn awayعَنfromسَبِيلِ(the) wayٱللَّهِ(of) Allahثُمَّthenمَاتُوا۟diedوَهُمْwhile theyكُفَّارٌ(were) disbelieversفَلَنneverيَغْفِرَwill Allah forgiveٱللَّهُwill Allah forgiveلَهُمْthem34
فَلَاSo (do) notتَهِنُوا۟weakenوَتَدْعُوٓا۟and callإِلَىforٱلسَّلْمِpeaceوَأَنتُمُwhile youٱلْأَعْلَوْنَ(are) superiorوَٱللَّهُand Allahمَعَكُمْ(is) with youوَلَنand neverيَتِرَكُمْwill deprive youأَعْمَٰلَكُمْ(of) your deeds35
إِنَّمَاOnlyٱلْحَيَوٰةُthe lifeٱلدُّنْيَا(of) the worldلَعِبٌ(is) playوَلَهْوٌand amusementوَإِنAnd ifتُؤْمِنُوا۟you believeوَتَتَّقُوا۟and fear (Allah)يُؤْتِكُمْHe will give youأُجُورَكُمْyour rewardsوَلَاand notيَسْـَٔلْكُمْwill ask youأَمْوَٰلَكُمْ(for) your wealth36
إِنIfيَسْـَٔلْكُمُوهَاHe were to ask you for itفَيُحْفِكُمْand press youتَبْخَلُوا۟you will withholdوَيُخْرِجْand He will bring forthأَضْغَٰنَكُمْyour hatred37
هَٰٓأَنتُمْHere you are هَٰٓؤُلَآءِtheseتُدْعَوْنَcalledلِتُنفِقُوا۟to spendفِىinسَبِيلِ(the) wayٱللَّهِ(of) Allah فَمِنكُمbut among youمَّن(are some) whoيَبْخَلُwithholdوَمَنand whoeverيَبْخَلْwithholdsفَإِنَّمَاthen onlyيَبْخَلُhe withholdsعَنfromنَّفْسِهِۦhimselfوَٱللَّهُBut Allahٱلْغَنِىُّ(is) Free of needوَأَنتُمُwhile youٱلْفُقَرَآءُ(are) the needyوَإِنAnd ifتَتَوَلَّوْا۟you turn awayيَسْتَبْدِلْHe will replace youقَوْمًا(with) a peopleغَيْرَكُمْother than youثُمَّthenلَاnotيَكُونُوٓا۟they will beأَمْثَٰلَكُم(the) likes of you38

لِّيُدْخِلَThat He may admitٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَthe believing menوَٱلْمُؤْمِنَٰتِand the believing womenجَنَّٰتٍ(to) Gardensتَجْرِىflowمِنfromتَحْتِهَاunderneath themٱلْأَنْهَٰرُthe riversخَٰلِدِينَ(to) abide foreverفِيهَاthereinوَيُكَفِّرَand (to) removeعَنْهُمْfrom themسَيِّـَٔاتِهِمْtheir misdeedsوَكَانَand isذَٰلِكَthatعِندَwithٱللَّهِAllahفَوْزًاa successعَظِيمًاgreat5
وَيُعَذِّبَAnd He (may) punishٱلْمُنَٰفِقِينَthe hypocrite menوَٱلْمُنَٰفِقَٰتِand the hypocrite womenوَٱلْمُشْرِكِينَand the polytheist menوَٱلْمُشْرِكَٰتِand the polytheist womenٱلظَّآنِّينَwho assumeبِٱللَّهِabout Allahظَنَّan assumptionٱلسَّوْءِevilعَلَيْهِمْUpon themدَآئِرَةُ(is) a turnٱلسَّوْءِ(of) evilوَغَضِبَand Allah's wrath (is)ٱللَّهُand Allah's wrath (is)عَلَيْهِمْupon themوَلَعَنَهُمْand He has cursed themوَأَعَدَّand preparedلَهُمْfor themجَهَنَّمَHellوَسَآءَتْand evilمَصِيرًا(is the) destination6
وَلِلَّهِAnd for Allahجُنُودُ(are the) hostsٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ(of) the heavensوَٱلْأَرْضِand the earthوَكَانَand Allahٱللَّهُand Allahعَزِيزًا(is) All-MightyحَكِيمًاAll-Wise7
إِنَّآIndeed, Weأَرْسَلْنَٰكَ[We] have sent youشَٰهِدًا(as) a witnessوَمُبَشِّرًاand (as) a bearer of glad tidingsوَنَذِيرًاand (as) a warner8
لِّتُؤْمِنُوا۟That you may believeبِٱللَّهِin Allahوَرَسُولِهِۦand His Messengerوَتُعَزِّرُوهُand (may) honor himوَتُوَقِّرُوهُand respect himوَتُسَبِّحُوهُand glorify Himبُكْرَةًmorningوَأَصِيلًاand evening9
إِنَّIndeedٱلَّذِينَthose whoيُبَايِعُونَكَpledge allegiance to youإِنَّمَاonlyيُبَايِعُونَthey pledge allegianceٱللَّهَ(to) Allahيَدُ(The) Handٱللَّهِ(of) Allahفَوْقَ(is) overأَيْدِيهِمْtheir handsفَمَنThen whoeverنَّكَثَbreaks (his oath)فَإِنَّمَاthen onlyيَنكُثُhe breaksعَلَىٰagainstنَفْسِهِۦhimselfوَمَنْand whoeverأَوْفَىٰfulfilsبِمَاwhatعَٰهَدَhe has covenantedعَلَيْهُ(with)ٱللَّهَAllahفَسَيُؤْتِيهِsoon He will give himأَجْرًاa rewardعَظِيمًاgreat10
سَيَقُولُWill sayلَكَto youٱلْمُخَلَّفُونَthose who remained behindمِنَofٱلْأَعْرَابِthe BedouinsشَغَلَتْنَآKept us busyأَمْوَٰلُنَاour propertiesوَأَهْلُونَاand our familiesفَٱسْتَغْفِرْso ask forgivenessلَنَاfor usيَقُولُونَThey sayبِأَلْسِنَتِهِمwith their tonguesمَّاwhatلَيْسَis notفِىinقُلُوبِهِمْtheir heartsقُلْSayفَمَنThen whoيَمْلِكُhas powerلَكُمfor youمِّنَagainstٱللَّهِAllahشَيْـًٔا(in) anythingإِنْifأَرَادَHe intendsبِكُمْfor youضَرًّاharmأَوْorأَرَادَHe intendsبِكُمْfor youنَفْعًۢاa benefitبَلْNayكَانَisٱللَّهُAllahبِمَاof whatتَعْمَلُونَyou doخَبِيرًۢاAll-Aware11
بَلْNayظَنَنتُمْyou thoughtأَنthatلَّن(would) neverيَنقَلِبَreturnٱلرَّسُولُthe Messengerوَٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَand the believersإِلَىٰٓtoأَهْلِيهِمْtheir familiesأَبَدًاeverوَزُيِّنَthat was made fair-seemingذَٰلِكَthat was made fair-seemingفِىinقُلُوبِكُمْyour heartsوَظَنَنتُمْAnd you assumedظَنَّan assumptionٱلسَّوْءِevilوَكُنتُمْand you becameقَوْمًۢاa peopleبُورًاruined12
وَمَنAnd whoeverلَّمْ(has) not believedيُؤْمِنۢ(has) not believedبِٱللَّهِin Allahوَرَسُولِهِۦand His Messengerفَإِنَّآthen indeed, Weأَعْتَدْنَا[We] have preparedلِلْكَٰفِرِينَfor the disbelieversسَعِيرًاa Blazing Fire13
وَلِلَّهِAnd for Allahمُلْكُ(is the) kingdomٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ(of) the heavensوَٱلْأَرْضِand the earthيَغْفِرُHe forgivesلِمَنwhomيَشَآءُHe willsوَيُعَذِّبُand punishesمَنwhomيَشَآءُHe willsوَكَانَAnd isٱللَّهُAllahغَفُورًاOft-ForgivingرَّحِيمًاMost Merciful14
سَيَقُولُWill sayٱلْمُخَلَّفُونَthose who remained behindإِذَاwhenٱنطَلَقْتُمْyou set forthإِلَىٰtowardsمَغَانِمَ(the) spoils of warلِتَأْخُذُوهَاto take itذَرُونَاAllow usنَتَّبِعْكُمْ(to) follow youيُرِيدُونَThey wishأَنtoيُبَدِّلُوا۟changeكَلَٰمَ(the) Wordsٱللَّهِ(of) AllahقُلSayلَّنNeverتَتَّبِعُونَاwill you follow usكَذَٰلِكُمْThusقَالَAllah saidٱللَّهُAllah saidمِنbeforeقَبْلُbeforeفَسَيَقُولُونَThen they will sayبَلْNayتَحْسُدُونَنَاyou envy usبَلْNayكَانُوا۟they wereلَاnotيَفْقَهُونَunderstandingإِلَّاexceptقَلِيلًاa little15
قُلSayلِّلْمُخَلَّفِينَto those who remained behindمِنَofٱلْأَعْرَابِthe BedouinsسَتُدْعَوْنَYou will be calledإِلَىٰtoقَوْمٍa peopleأُو۟لِىpossessors of military mightبَأْسٍpossessors of military mightشَدِيدٍgreatتُقَٰتِلُونَهُمْyou will fight themأَوْorيُسْلِمُونَthey will submitفَإِنThen ifتُطِيعُوا۟you obeyيُؤْتِكُمُAllah will give youٱللَّهُAllah will give youأَجْرًاa rewardحَسَنًاgoodوَإِنbut ifتَتَوَلَّوْا۟you turn awayكَمَاasتَوَلَّيْتُمyou turned awayمِّنbeforeقَبْلُbeforeيُعَذِّبْكُمْHe will punish youعَذَابًا(with) a punishmentأَلِيمًاpainful16
لَّيْسَNot isعَلَىuponٱلْأَعْمَىٰthe blindحَرَجٌany blameوَلَاand notعَلَىonٱلْأَعْرَجِthe lameحَرَجٌany blameوَلَاand notعَلَىonٱلْمَرِيضِthe sickحَرَجٌany blameوَمَنAnd whoeverيُطِعِobeysٱللَّهَAllahوَرَسُولَهُۥand His MessengerيُدْخِلْهُHe will admit himجَنَّٰتٍ(to) Gardensتَجْرِىflowمِنfromتَحْتِهَاunderneath themٱلْأَنْهَٰرُthe riversوَمَنbut whoeverيَتَوَلَّturns awayيُعَذِّبْهُHe will punish himعَذَابًا(with) a punishmentأَلِيمًاpainful17
لَّقَدْCertainlyرَضِىَAllah was pleasedٱللَّهُAllah was pleasedعَنِwithٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَthe believersإِذْwhenيُبَايِعُونَكَthey pledged allegiance to youتَحْتَunderٱلشَّجَرَةِthe treeفَعَلِمَand He knewمَاwhatفِى(was) inقُلُوبِهِمْtheir heartsفَأَنزَلَso He sent downٱلسَّكِينَةَthe tranquilityعَلَيْهِمْupon themوَأَثَٰبَهُمْand rewarded themفَتْحًا(with) a victoryقَرِيبًاnear18
وَمَغَانِمَAnd spoils of warكَثِيرَةًmuchيَأْخُذُونَهَاthat they will takeوَكَانَand isٱللَّهُAllahعَزِيزًاAll-MightyحَكِيمًاAll-Wise19
وَعَدَكُمُAllah has promised youٱللَّهُAllah has promised youمَغَانِمَspoils of warكَثِيرَةًmuchتَأْخُذُونَهَاthat you will take itفَعَجَّلَand He has hastenedلَكُمْfor youهَٰذِهِۦthisوَكَفَّand has withheldأَيْدِىَ(the) handsٱلنَّاسِ(of) the peopleعَنكُمْfrom you وَلِتَكُونَthat it may beءَايَةًa signلِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَfor the believersوَيَهْدِيَكُمْand He may guide youصِرَٰطًا(to the) PathمُّسْتَقِيمًاStraight20
وَأُخْرَىٰAnd othersلَمْnotتَقْدِرُوا۟you had powerعَلَيْهَاover themقَدْsurelyأَحَاطَAllah encompassedٱللَّهُAllah encompassedبِهَاthemوَكَانَand isٱللَّهُAllahعَلَىٰoverكُلِّallشَىْءٍthingsقَدِيرًاAll-Powerful21
وَلَوْAnd ifقَٰتَلَكُمُfight youٱلَّذِينَthose whoكَفَرُوا۟disbelieveلَوَلَّوُا۟surely they would turnٱلْأَدْبَٰرَthe backsثُمَّThenلَاnotيَجِدُونَthey would findوَلِيًّاany protectorوَلَاand notنَصِيرًاany helper22
سُنَّةَ(The established) wayٱللَّهِ(of) Allahٱلَّتِىwhichقَدْpassed awayخَلَتْpassed awayمِنbeforeقَبْلُbeforeوَلَنand neverتَجِدَyou will findلِسُنَّةِin (the) way of Allahٱللَّهِin (the) way of Allahتَبْدِيلًاany change23
وَهُوَAnd Heٱلَّذِى(is) the One Whoكَفَّwithheldأَيْدِيَهُمْtheir handsعَنكُمْfrom youوَأَيْدِيَكُمْand your handsعَنْهُمfrom themبِبَطْنِwithinمَكَّةَMakkahمِنۢafterبَعْدِafterأَنْthatأَظْفَرَكُمْHe gave you victoryعَلَيْهِمْover themوَكَانَAnd isٱللَّهُAllahبِمَاof whatتَعْمَلُونَyou doبَصِيرًاAll-Seer24
هُمُTheyٱلَّذِينَ(are) those whoكَفَرُوا۟disbelievedوَصَدُّوكُمْand hindered youعَنِfromٱلْمَسْجِدِAl-Masjid Al-HaraamٱلْحَرَامِAl-Masjid Al-Haraamوَٱلْهَدْىَwhile the offeringمَعْكُوفًا(was) preventedأَنfromيَبْلُغَreachingمَحِلَّهُۥits place (of sacrifice)وَلَوْلَاAnd if notرِجَالٌ(for) menمُّؤْمِنُونَbelievingوَنِسَآءٌand womenمُّؤْمِنَٰتٌbelievingلَّمْnotتَعْلَمُوهُمْyou knew themأَنthatتَطَـُٔوهُمْyou may trample themفَتُصِيبَكُمand would befall youمِّنْهُمfrom themمَّعَرَّةٌۢany harmبِغَيْرِwithoutعِلْمٍknowledgeلِّيُدْخِلَThat Allah may admitٱللَّهُThat Allah may admitفِىtoرَحْمَتِهِۦHis MercyمَنwhomيَشَآءُHe willsلَوْIfتَزَيَّلُوا۟they had been apartلَعَذَّبْنَاsurely, We would have punishedٱلَّذِينَthose whoكَفَرُوا۟disbelievedمِنْهُمْamong themعَذَابًا(with) a punishmentأَلِيمًاpainful25
إِذْWhenجَعَلَhad putٱلَّذِينَthose whoكَفَرُوا۟disbelievedفِىinقُلُوبِهِمُtheir heartsٱلْحَمِيَّةَdisdain حَمِيَّةَ(the) disdainٱلْجَٰهِلِيَّةِ(of the time of) ignoranceفَأَنزَلَThen Allah sent downٱللَّهُThen Allah sent downسَكِينَتَهُۥHis tranquilityعَلَىٰuponرَسُولِهِۦHis Messengerوَعَلَىand uponٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَthe believersوَأَلْزَمَهُمْand made them adhereكَلِمَةَ(to the) wordٱلتَّقْوَىٰ(of) righteousnessوَكَانُوٓا۟and they wereأَحَقَّmore deservingبِهَاof itوَأَهْلَهَاand worthy of itوَكَانَAnd isٱللَّهُAllahبِكُلِّof everyشَىْءٍthingعَلِيمًاAll-Knower26
لَّقَدْCertainlyصَدَقَAllah has fulfilledٱللَّهُAllah has fulfilledرَسُولَهُHis Messenger'sٱلرُّءْيَاvisionبِٱلْحَقِّin truthلَتَدْخُلُنَّSurely, you will enterٱلْمَسْجِدَAl-Masjid Al-HaraamٱلْحَرَامَAl-Masjid Al-HaraamإِنifشَآءَAllah willsٱللَّهُAllah willsءَامِنِينَsecureمُحَلِّقِينَhaving shavedرُءُوسَكُمْyour headsوَمُقَصِّرِينَand shortenedلَاnotتَخَافُونَfearingفَعَلِمَBut He knewمَاwhatلَمْnotتَعْلَمُوا۟you knewفَجَعَلَand He madeمِنbesidesدُونِbesidesذَٰلِكَthatفَتْحًاa victoryقَرِيبًاnear27
هُوَHeٱلَّذِىٓ(is) the One Whoأَرْسَلَ(has) sentرَسُولَهُۥHis Messengerبِٱلْهُدَىٰwith guidanceوَدِينِand (the) religionٱلْحَقِّthe trueلِيُظْهِرَهُۥthat He (may) make it prevailعَلَىoverٱلدِّينِthe religionsكُلِّهِۦallوَكَفَىٰAnd sufficient isبِٱللَّهِAllahشَهِيدًا(as) a Witness28
مُّحَمَّدٌMuhammadرَّسُولُ(is the) Messengerٱللَّهِof Allahوَٱلَّذِينَand those whoمَعَهُۥٓ(are) with himأَشِدَّآءُ(are) firmعَلَىagainstٱلْكُفَّارِthe disbelieversرُحَمَآءُand mercifulبَيْنَهُمْamong themselvesتَرَىٰهُمْYou see themرُكَّعًاbowingسُجَّدًاand prostratingيَبْتَغُونَseekingفَضْلًاBountyمِّنَfrom Allahٱللَّهِfrom Allahوَرِضْوَٰنًاand pleasureسِيمَاهُمْTheir markفِى(is) onوُجُوهِهِمtheir facesمِّنْfromأَثَرِ(the) traceٱلسُّجُودِ(of) the prostrationذَٰلِكَThatمَثَلُهُمْ(is) their similitudeفِىinٱلتَّوْرَىٰةِthe TaurahوَمَثَلُهُمْAnd their similitudeفِىinٱلْإِنجِيلِthe Injeelكَزَرْعٍ(is) like a seedأَخْرَجَ(which) sends forthشَطْـَٔهُۥits shootفَـَٔازَرَهُۥthen strengthens itفَٱسْتَغْلَظَthen it becomes thickفَٱسْتَوَىٰand it standsعَلَىٰuponسُوقِهِۦits stemيُعْجِبُdelightingٱلزُّرَّاعَthe sowersلِيَغِيظَthat He (may) enrageبِهِمُby themٱلْكُفَّارَthe disbelieversوَعَدَAllah has promisedٱللَّهُAllah has promisedٱلَّذِينَthose whoءَامَنُوا۟believeوَعَمِلُوا۟and doٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِrighteous deedsمِنْهُمamong themمَّغْفِرَةًforgivenessوَأَجْرًاand a rewardعَظِيمًۢاgreat29

يَٰٓأَيُّهَاO you who believeٱلَّذِينَO you who believeءَامَنُوا۟O you who believeلَا(Do) notتُقَدِّمُوا۟put (yourselves) forward بَيْنَbefore Allahيَدَىِbefore Allahٱللَّهِbefore Allahوَرَسُولِهِۦand His Messengerوَٱتَّقُوا۟and fear Allahٱللَّهَand fear AllahإِنَّIndeedٱللَّهَAllahسَمِيعٌ(is) All-HearerعَلِيمٌAll-Knower1
يَٰٓأَيُّهَاO you who believeٱلَّذِينَO you who believeءَامَنُوا۟O you who believeلَا(Do) notتَرْفَعُوٓا۟raiseأَصْوَٰتَكُمْyour voicesفَوْقَaboveصَوْتِ(the) voiceٱلنَّبِىِّ(of) the Prophetوَلَاand (do) notتَجْهَرُوا۟be loudلَهُۥto himبِٱلْقَوْلِin speechكَجَهْرِlike (the) loudnessبَعْضِكُمْ(of) some of youلِبَعْضٍto othersأَنlestتَحْبَطَbecome worthlessأَعْمَٰلُكُمْyour deedsوَأَنتُمْwhile youلَا(do) notتَشْعُرُونَperceive2
إِنَّIndeedٱلَّذِينَthose whoيَغُضُّونَlowerأَصْوَٰتَهُمْtheir voicesعِندَ(in) presenceرَسُولِ(of the) Messenger of Allah ٱللَّهِ(of the) Messenger of Allah أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَthoseٱلَّذِينَ(are) the onesٱمْتَحَنَAllah has testedٱللَّهُAllah has testedقُلُوبَهُمْtheir heartsلِلتَّقْوَىٰfor righteousnessلَهُمFor themمَّغْفِرَةٌ(is) forgivenessوَأَجْرٌand a rewardعَظِيمٌgreat3
إِنَّIndeedٱلَّذِينَthose whoيُنَادُونَكَcall youمِنfromوَرَآءِbehindٱلْحُجُرَٰتِthe private chambersأَكْثَرُهُمْmost of themلَا(do) notيَعْقِلُونَunderstand4
وَلَوْAnd ifأَنَّهُمْtheyصَبَرُوا۟had been patientحَتَّىٰuntilتَخْرُجَyou came outإِلَيْهِمْto themلَكَانَcertainly it would beخَيْرًاbetterلَّهُمْfor themوَٱللَّهُAnd Allahغَفُورٌ(is) Oft-ForgivingرَّحِيمٌMost Merciful5
يَٰٓأَيُّهَاO you who believeٱلَّذِينَO you who believeءَامَنُوٓا۟O you who believeإِنIfجَآءَكُمْcomes to youفَاسِقٌۢa wicked personبِنَبَإٍwith informationفَتَبَيَّنُوٓا۟investigateأَنlestتُصِيبُوا۟you harmقَوْمًۢاa peopleبِجَهَٰلَةٍin ignoranceفَتُصْبِحُوا۟then you becomeعَلَىٰoverمَاwhatفَعَلْتُمْyou have doneنَٰدِمِينَregretful6
وَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟And knowأَنَّthatفِيكُمْamong youرَسُولَ(is the) Messenger of Allahٱللَّهِ(is the) Messenger of AllahلَوْIfيُطِيعُكُمْhe were to obey youفِىinكَثِيرٍmuchمِّنَofٱلْأَمْرِthe matterلَعَنِتُّمْsurely you would be in difficultyوَلَٰكِنَّbutٱللَّهَAllahحَبَّبَhas endearedإِلَيْكُمُto youٱلْإِيمَٰنَthe Faithوَزَيَّنَهُۥand has made it pleasingفِىinقُلُوبِكُمْyour heartsوَكَرَّهَand has made hatefulإِلَيْكُمُto youٱلْكُفْرَdisbeliefوَٱلْفُسُوقَand defianceوَٱلْعِصْيَانَand disobedienceأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَThoseهُمُ(are) they ٱلرَّٰشِدُونَthe guided ones7
فَضْلًاA Bountyمِّنَfrom Allahٱللَّهِfrom Allahوَنِعْمَةًand favorوَٱللَّهُAnd Allahعَلِيمٌ(is) All-KnowerحَكِيمٌAll-Wise8
وَإِنAnd ifطَآئِفَتَانِtwo partiesمِنَamongٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَthe believersٱقْتَتَلُوا۟fightفَأَصْلِحُوا۟then make peaceبَيْنَهُمَاbetween both of themفَإِنۢBut ifبَغَتْoppressesإِحْدَىٰهُمَاone of themعَلَىonٱلْأُخْرَىٰthe otherفَقَٰتِلُوا۟then fightٱلَّتِىone whichتَبْغِىoppressesحَتَّىٰuntilتَفِىٓءَit returnsإِلَىٰٓtoأَمْرِ(the) commandٱللَّهِ(of) AllahفَإِنThen ifفَآءَتْit returnsفَأَصْلِحُوا۟then make peaceبَيْنَهُمَاbetween themبِٱلْعَدْلِwith justiceوَأَقْسِطُوٓا۟and act justlyإِنَّIndeedٱللَّهَAllahيُحِبُّlovesٱلْمُقْسِطِينَthose who act justly9
إِنَّمَاOnlyٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَthe believersإِخْوَةٌ(are) brothersفَأَصْلِحُوا۟so make peaceبَيْنَbetweenأَخَوَيْكُمْyour brothersوَٱتَّقُوا۟and fear Allahٱللَّهَand fear Allahلَعَلَّكُمْso that you mayتُرْحَمُونَreceive mercy10
يَٰٓأَيُّهَاO you who believeٱلَّذِينَO you who believeءَامَنُوا۟O you who believeلَا(Let) notيَسْخَرْridiculeقَوْمٌa peopleمِّن[of]قَوْمٍ(another) peopleعَسَىٰٓperhapsأَنthatيَكُونُوا۟they may beخَيْرًاbetterمِّنْهُمْthan themوَلَاand (let) notنِسَآءٌwomenمِّن[of]نِّسَآءٍ(other) womenعَسَىٰٓperhapsأَنthatيَكُنَّthey may beخَيْرًاbetterمِّنْهُنَّthan themوَلَاAnd (do) notتَلْمِزُوٓا۟insultأَنفُسَكُمْyourselvesوَلَاand (do) notتَنَابَزُوا۟call each otherبِٱلْأَلْقَٰبِby nicknamesبِئْسَWretched isٱلِٱسْمُthe nameٱلْفُسُوقُ(of) disobedienceبَعْدَafterٱلْإِيمَٰنِthe faithوَمَنAnd whoeverلَّمْ(does) notيَتُبْrepentفَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَthen those هُمُtheyٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ(are) the wrongdoers11
يَٰٓأَيُّهَاO you who believeٱلَّذِينَO you who believeءَامَنُوا۟O you who believeٱجْتَنِبُوا۟Avoidكَثِيرًاmuchمِّنَofٱلظَّنِّthe assumptionإِنَّIndeedبَعْضَsomeٱلظَّنِّassumptionإِثْمٌ(is) sinوَلَاAnd (do) notتَجَسَّسُوا۟spyوَلَاand (do) notيَغْتَبbackbiteبَّعْضُكُمsome of youبَعْضًا(to) othersأَيُحِبُّWould likeأَحَدُكُمْone of youأَنtoيَأْكُلَeatلَحْمَ(the) fleshأَخِيهِ(of) his brotherمَيْتًاdeadفَكَرِهْتُمُوهُNay, you would hate itوَٱتَّقُوا۟And fear AllahٱللَّهَAnd fear AllahإِنَّindeedٱللَّهَAllahتَوَّابٌ(is) Oft-ReturningرَّحِيمٌMost Merciful12
يَٰٓأَيُّهَاO mankindٱلنَّاسُO mankindإِنَّاIndeed, Weخَلَقْنَٰكُمcreated youمِّنfromذَكَرٍa maleوَأُنثَىٰand a femaleوَجَعَلْنَٰكُمْand We made youشُعُوبًاnationsوَقَبَآئِلَand tribesلِتَعَارَفُوٓا۟that you may know one anotherإِنَّIndeedأَكْرَمَكُمْ(the) most noble of youعِندَnearٱللَّهِAllahأَتْقَىٰكُمْ(is the) most righteous of youإِنَّIndeedٱللَّهَAllahعَلِيمٌ(is) All-KnowerخَبِيرٌAll-Aware13
قَالَتِSayٱلْأَعْرَابُthe BedouinsءَامَنَّاWe believeقُلSayلَّمْNotتُؤْمِنُوا۟you believeوَلَٰكِنbutقُولُوٓا۟sayأَسْلَمْنَاWe have submittedوَلَمَّاand has not yetيَدْخُلِenteredٱلْإِيمَٰنُthe faithفِىinقُلُوبِكُمْyour heartsوَإِنBut ifتُطِيعُوا۟you obeyٱللَّهَAllahوَرَسُولَهُۥand His MessengerلَاnotيَلِتْكُمHe will deprive youمِّنْofأَعْمَٰلِكُمْyour deedsشَيْـًٔاanythingإِنَّIndeedٱللَّهَAllahغَفُورٌ(is) Oft-ForgivingرَّحِيمٌMost Merciful14
إِنَّمَاOnlyٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَthe believersٱلَّذِينَ(are) those whoءَامَنُوا۟believeبِٱللَّهِin Allahوَرَسُولِهِۦand His Messengerثُمَّthenلَمْ(do) notيَرْتَابُوا۟doubtوَجَٰهَدُوا۟but striveبِأَمْوَٰلِهِمْwith their wealthوَأَنفُسِهِمْand their livesفِىinسَبِيلِ(the) wayٱللَّهِ(of) Allahأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَThoseهُمُ[they]ٱلصَّٰدِقُونَ(are) the truthful15
قُلْSayأَتُعَلِّمُونَWill you acquaintٱللَّهَAllahبِدِينِكُمْwith your religionوَٱللَّهُwhile Allahيَعْلَمُknowsمَاwhatفِى(is) inٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِthe heavensوَمَاand whatفِى(is) inٱلْأَرْضِthe earthوَٱللَّهُAnd Allahبِكُلِّof everyشَىْءٍthingعَلِيمٌ(is) All-Knower16
يَمُنُّونَThey consider (it) a favorعَلَيْكَto youأَنْthatأَسْلَمُوا۟they have accepted IslamقُلSayلَّا(Do) notتَمُنُّوا۟consider a favorعَلَىَّon me إِسْلَٰمَكُمyour IslamبَلِNayٱللَّهُAllahيَمُنُّhas conferred a favorعَلَيْكُمْupon youأَنْthatهَدَىٰكُمْHe has guided youلِلْإِيمَٰنِto the faithإِنifكُنتُمْyou areصَٰدِقِينَtruthful17
إِنَّIndeedٱللَّهَAllahيَعْلَمُknowsغَيْبَ(the) unseenٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ(of) the heavensوَٱلْأَرْضِand the earthوَٱللَّهُAnd Allahبَصِيرٌۢ(is) All-Seerبِمَاof whatتَعْمَلُونَyou do18

بَلْNayعَجِبُوٓا۟they wonderأَنthatجَآءَهُمhas come to themمُّنذِرٌa warnerمِّنْهُمْfrom themفَقَالَSo sayٱلْكَٰفِرُونَthe disbelieversهَٰذَاThisشَىْءٌ(is) a thingعَجِيبٌamazing2
أَءِذَاWhat! Whenمِتْنَاwe dieوَكُنَّاand have becomeتُرَابًاdustذَٰلِكَThatرَجْعٌۢ(is) a returnبَعِيدٌfar3
قَدْCertainlyعَلِمْنَاWe knowمَاwhatتَنقُصُdiminishesٱلْأَرْضُthe earthمِنْهُمْof themوَعِندَنَاand with Usكِتَٰبٌ(is) a Bookحَفِيظٌۢguarded4
بَلْNayكَذَّبُوا۟they deniedبِٱلْحَقِّthe truthلَمَّاwhenجَآءَهُمْit came (to) themفَهُمْso theyفِىٓ(are) inأَمْرٍa stateمَّرِيجٍconfused5
أَفَلَمْThen do notيَنظُرُوٓا۟they lookإِلَىatٱلسَّمَآءِthe skyفَوْقَهُمْabove them كَيْفَhowبَنَيْنَٰهَاWe structured itوَزَيَّنَّٰهَاand adorned itوَمَاand notلَهَاfor itمِنanyفُرُوجٍrifts6
وَٱلْأَرْضَAnd the earthمَدَدْنَٰهَاWe have spread it outوَأَلْقَيْنَاand castفِيهَاthereinرَوَٰسِىَfirmly set mountainsوَأَنۢبَتْنَاand We made to growفِيهَاthereinمِنofكُلِّeveryزَوْجٍۢkindبَهِيجٍbeautiful7
وَنَزَّلْنَاAnd We have sent downمِنَfromٱلسَّمَآءِthe skyمَآءًwaterمُّبَٰرَكًاblessedفَأَنۢبَتْنَاthen We made to growبِهِۦtherebyجَنَّٰتٍgardensوَحَبَّand grainٱلْحَصِيدِ(for) the harvest9
رِّزْقًاA provisionلِّلْعِبَادِfor the slavesوَأَحْيَيْنَاand We give lifeبِهِۦtherewithبَلْدَةً(to) a landمَّيْتًاdeadكَذَٰلِكَThusٱلْخُرُوجُ(will be) the coming forth11
كَذَّبَتْDeniedقَبْلَهُمْbefore themقَوْمُ(the) peopleنُوحٍ(of) Nuhوَأَصْحَٰبُand (the) companionsٱلرَّسِّ(of) Ar-Raasوَثَمُودُand Thamud12
وَأَصْحَٰبُAnd (the) companionsٱلْأَيْكَةِ(of) the woodوَقَوْمُand (the) peopleتُبَّعٍ(of) TubbaكُلٌّAllكَذَّبَdeniedٱلرُّسُلَthe Messengersفَحَقَّso was fulfilledوَعِيدِMy Threat14
أَفَعَيِينَاWere We then tiredبِٱلْخَلْقِwith the creationٱلْأَوَّلِthe firstبَلْNayهُمْtheyفِى(are) inلَبْسٍdoubtمِّنْaboutخَلْقٍa creationجَدِيدٍnew15
وَلَقَدْAnd certainlyخَلَقْنَاWe createdٱلْإِنسَٰنَmanوَنَعْلَمُand We knowمَاwhatتُوَسْوِسُwhispersبِهِۦto himنَفْسُهُۥhis soulوَنَحْنُand Weأَقْرَبُ(are) nearerإِلَيْهِto himمِنْthanحَبْلِ(his) jugular veinٱلْوَرِيدِ(his) jugular vein16
إِذْWhenيَتَلَقَّىreceiveٱلْمُتَلَقِّيَانِthe two receiversعَنِonٱلْيَمِينِthe rightوَعَنِand onٱلشِّمَالِthe leftقَعِيدٌseated17
مَّاNotيَلْفِظُhe uttersمِنanyقَوْلٍwordإِلَّاbutلَدَيْهِwith himرَقِيبٌ(is) an observerعَتِيدٌready18
وَجَآءَتْAnd will comeسَكْرَةُ(the) stuporٱلْمَوْتِ(of) deathبِٱلْحَقِّin truthذَٰلِكَThatمَا(is) whatكُنتَyou wereمِنْهُ[from it]تَحِيدُavoiding19
وَنُفِخَAnd will be blownفِى[in]ٱلصُّورِthe trumpetذَٰلِكَThatيَوْمُ(is the) Dayٱلْوَعِيدِ(of) the Warning20
لَّقَدْCertainlyكُنتَyou wereفِىinغَفْلَةٍheedlessnessمِّنْofهَٰذَاthisفَكَشَفْنَاSo We have removedعَنكَfrom youغِطَآءَكَyour coverفَبَصَرُكَso your sightٱلْيَوْمَtodayحَدِيدٌ(is) sharp22
ٱلَّذِىWhoجَعَلَmadeمَعَwithٱللَّهِAllahإِلَٰهًاa godءَاخَرَanotherفَأَلْقِيَاهُso throw himفِىin(to)ٱلْعَذَابِthe punishmentٱلشَّدِيدِthe severe26
قَالَWill sayقَرِينُهُۥhis companionرَبَّنَاOur LordمَآnotأَطْغَيْتُهُۥI made him transgressوَلَٰكِنbutكَانَhe wasفِىinضَلَٰلٍۢerrorبَعِيدٍfar27
قَالَHe will sayلَا(Do) notتَخْتَصِمُوا۟disputeلَدَىَّ(in) My presenceوَقَدْand indeedقَدَّمْتُI sent forthإِلَيْكُمto youبِٱلْوَعِيدِthe Warning28
مَاNotيُبَدَّلُwill be changedٱلْقَوْلُthe wordلَدَىَّwith Meوَمَآand notأَنَاI Amبِظَلَّٰمٍunjustلِّلْعَبِيدِto My slaves29
يَوْمَ(The) DayنَقُولُWe will sayلِجَهَنَّمَto HellهَلِAreٱمْتَلَأْتِyou filledوَتَقُولُAnd it will sayهَلْAreمِن(there) anyمَّزِيدٍmore30
وَأُزْلِفَتِAnd will be brought nearٱلْجَنَّةُthe Paradiseلِلْمُتَّقِينَto the righteousغَيْرَnotبَعِيدٍfar31
هَٰذَاThisمَا(is) whatتُوعَدُونَyou were promisedلِكُلِّfor everyoneأَوَّابٍwho turnsحَفِيظٍ(and) who keeps32
مَّنْWhoخَشِىَfearedٱلرَّحْمَٰنَthe Most Graciousبِٱلْغَيْبِin the unseenوَجَآءَand cameبِقَلْبٍwith a heartمُّنِيبٍreturning33
وَكَمْAnd how manyأَهْلَكْنَاWe destroyedقَبْلَهُمbefore themمِّنofقَرْنٍa generationهُمْtheyأَشَدُّ(were) strongerمِنْهُمthan themبَطْشًا(in) powerفَنَقَّبُوا۟so they exploredفِىthroughoutٱلْبِلَٰدِthe landsهَلْIs (there)مِنanyمَّحِيصٍplace of escape36
إِنَّIndeedفِىinذَٰلِكَthatلَذِكْرَىٰsurely, is a reminderلِمَنfor (one) whoكَانَis لَهُۥfor himقَلْبٌa heartأَوْorأَلْقَى(who) gives earٱلسَّمْعَ(who) gives earوَهُوَwhile heشَهِيدٌ(is) a witness37
وَلَقَدْAnd certainlyخَلَقْنَاWe createdٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِthe heavensوَٱلْأَرْضَand the earthوَمَاand whateverبَيْنَهُمَا(is) between both of themفِىinسِتَّةِsixأَيَّامٍperiodsوَمَاand (did) notمَسَّنَاtouch Usمِنanyلُّغُوبٍfatigue38
فَٱصْبِرْSo be patientعَلَىٰoverمَاwhatيَقُولُونَthey sayوَسَبِّحْand glorifyبِحَمْدِ(the) praiseرَبِّكَ(of) your Lordقَبْلَbeforeطُلُوعِ(the) risingٱلشَّمْسِ(of) the sunوَقَبْلَand beforeٱلْغُرُوبِthe setting39
وَٱسْتَمِعْAnd listenيَوْمَ(The) Dayيُنَادِwill callٱلْمُنَادِthe callerمِنfromمَّكَانٍa placeقَرِيبٍnear41
يَوْمَ(The) Dayيَسْمَعُونَthey will hearٱلصَّيْحَةَthe Blastبِٱلْحَقِّin truthذَٰلِكَThatيَوْمُ(is the) Dayٱلْخُرُوجِ(of) coming forth42
إِنَّاIndeed, Weنَحْنُ[We]نُحْىِۦ[We] give lifeوَنُمِيتُand [We] cause deathوَإِلَيْنَاand to Usٱلْمَصِيرُ(is) the final return43
يَوْمَ(The) Dayتَشَقَّقُwill splitٱلْأَرْضُthe earthعَنْهُمْfrom themسِرَاعًاhurryingذَٰلِكَThatحَشْرٌ(is) a gatheringعَلَيْنَاfor Usيَسِيرٌeasy44
نَّحْنُWeأَعْلَمُknow bestبِمَا[of] whatيَقُولُونَthey sayوَمَآand notأَنتَ(are) youعَلَيْهِمover themبِجَبَّارٍthe one to compelفَذَكِّرْBut remindبِٱلْقُرْءَانِwith the QuranمَنwhoeverيَخَافُfearsوَعِيدِMy threat45

ذُوقُوا۟Tasteفِتْنَتَكُمْyour trialهَٰذَاThisٱلَّذِى(is) whatكُنتُمyou wereبِهِۦfor itتَسْتَعْجِلُونَseeking to hasten14
ءَاخِذِينَTakingمَآwhatءَاتَىٰهُمْtheir Lord has given themرَبُّهُمْtheir Lord has given themإِنَّهُمْIndeed, theyكَانُوا۟wereقَبْلَbeforeذَٰلِكَthatمُحْسِنِينَgood-doers16
وَفِىٓAnd inأَمْوَٰلِهِمْtheir wealthحَقٌّ(was the) rightلِّلسَّآئِلِ(of) those who askedوَٱلْمَحْرُومِand the deprived19
وَفِىAnd inٱلسَّمَآءِthe heavenرِزْقُكُمْ(is) your provisionوَمَاand whatتُوعَدُونَyou are promised22
فَوَرَبِّThen by (the) Lordٱلسَّمَآءِ(of) the heavenوَٱلْأَرْضِand the earthإِنَّهُۥindeed, itلَحَقٌّ(is) surely (the) truthمِّثْلَ(just) asمَآ[what]أَنَّكُمْyouتَنطِقُونَspeak23
هَلْHasأَتَىٰكَreached youحَدِيثُ(the) narrationضَيْفِ(of the) guestsإِبْرَٰهِيمَ(of) Ibrahimٱلْمُكْرَمِينَthe honored24
إِذْWhenدَخَلُوا۟they enteredعَلَيْهِupon himفَقَالُوا۟and saidسَلَٰمًاPeaceقَالَHe saidسَلَٰمٌPeaceقَوْمٌa peopleمُّنكَرُونَunknown25
فَأَوْجَسَThen he feltمِنْهُمْfrom themخِيفَةًa fearقَالُوا۟They saidلَا(Do) notتَخَفْfearوَبَشَّرُوهُand they gave him glad tidingsبِغُلَٰمٍof a sonعَلِيمٍlearned28
فَأَقْبَلَتِThen came forwardٱمْرَأَتُهُۥhis wifeفِىwithصَرَّةٍa loud voiceفَصَكَّتْand struckوَجْهَهَاher faceوَقَالَتْand she saidعَجُوزٌAn old womanعَقِيمٌbarren29
قَالُوا۟They saidكَذَٰلِكِThusقَالَsaidرَبُّكِyour LordإِنَّهُۥIndeed, Heهُوَ[He]ٱلْحَكِيمُ(is) the All-Wiseٱلْعَلِيمُthe All-Knower30
