إِلَيْهِTo Himيُرَدُّis referredعِلْمُ(the) knowledgeٱلسَّاعَةِ(of) the HourوَمَاAnd notتَخْرُجُcomes outمِنanyثَمَرَٰتٍfruitsمِّنْfromأَكْمَامِهَاtheir coveringsوَمَاand notتَحْمِلُbearsمِنْanyأُنثَىٰfemaleوَلَاand notتَضَعُgives birthإِلَّاexceptبِعِلْمِهِۦwith His knowledgeوَيَوْمَAnd (the) DayيُنَادِيهِمْHe will call themأَيْنَWhere (are)شُرَكَآءِىMy partnersقَالُوٓا۟They will sayءَاذَنَّٰكَWe announce (to) Youمَاnotمِنَّاamong usمِنanyشَهِيدٍwitness47
وَضَلَّAnd lostعَنْهُمfrom themمَّاwhatكَانُوا۟they wereيَدْعُونَinvokingمِنbeforeقَبْلُbeforeوَظَنُّوا۟and they (will) be certainمَا(that) notلَهُمfor themمِّنanyمَّحِيصٍplace of escape48
لَّا(Does) notيَسْـَٔمُget tiredٱلْإِنسَٰنُmanمِنofدُعَآءِprayingٱلْخَيْرِ(for) the goodوَإِنbut ifمَّسَّهُtouches himٱلشَّرُّthe evilفَيَـُٔوسٌthen he gives up hopeقَنُوطٌ(and) despairs49
وَلَئِنْAnd verily, ifأَذَقْنَٰهُWe let him tasteرَحْمَةًmercyمِّنَّاfrom Usمِنۢafterبَعْدِafterضَرَّآءَan adversityمَسَّتْهُ(has) touched himلَيَقُولَنَّhe will surely sayهَٰذَاThis (is)لِى(due) to meوَمَآand notأَظُنُّI thinkٱلسَّاعَةَthe Hourقَآئِمَةً(will be) establishedوَلَئِنand ifرُّجِعْتُI am returnedإِلَىٰtoرَبِّىٓmy Lordإِنَّindeedلِىfor meعِندَهُۥwith Himلَلْحُسْنَىٰ(will be) the bestفَلَنُنَبِّئَنَّBut We will surely informٱلَّذِينَthose whoكَفَرُوا۟disbelievedبِمَاabout whatعَمِلُوا۟they didوَلَنُذِيقَنَّهُمand We will surely make them tasteمِّنْofعَذَابٍa punishmentغَلِيظٍsevere50
وَإِذَآAnd whenأَنْعَمْنَاWe bestow favorعَلَىuponٱلْإِنسَٰنِmanأَعْرَضَhe turns away وَنَـَٔاand distances himselfبِجَانِبِهِۦand distances himselfوَإِذَاbut whenمَسَّهُtouches himٱلشَّرُّthe evilفَذُوthen (he is) fullدُعَآءٍ(of) supplicationعَرِيضٍlengthy51
قُلْSayأَرَءَيْتُمْYou see إِنifكَانَit isمِنْfromعِندِfromٱللَّهِAllahثُمَّthenكَفَرْتُمyou disbelieveبِهِۦin itمَنْwhoأَضَلُّ(is) more astrayمِمَّنْthan (one) who هُوَheفِى(is) inشِقَاقٍۢoppositionبَعِيدٍfar52
سَنُرِيهِمْSoon We will show themءَايَٰتِنَاOur Signsفِىinٱلْءَافَاقِthe horizonsوَفِىٓand inأَنفُسِهِمْthemselvesحَتَّىٰuntilيَتَبَيَّنَbecomes clearلَهُمْto themأَنَّهُthat itٱلْحَقُّ(is) the truthأَوَلَمْIs (it) notيَكْفِsufficientبِرَبِّكَconcerning your Lordأَنَّهُۥthat Heعَلَىٰ(is) overكُلِّallشَىْءٍthingsشَهِيدٌa Witness53
أَلَآUnquestionablyإِنَّهُمْtheyفِى(are) inمِرْيَةٍdoubtمِّنaboutلِّقَآءِ(the) meetingرَبِّهِمْ(with) their LordأَلَآUnquestionablyإِنَّهُۥindeed, Heبِكُلِّ(is) of allشَىْءٍthingsمُّحِيطٌۢencompassing54

كَذَٰلِكَThusيُوحِىٓrevealsإِلَيْكَto youوَإِلَىand toٱلَّذِينَthoseمِنbefore you قَبْلِكَbefore you ٱللَّهُAllahٱلْعَزِيزُthe All-Mightyٱلْحَكِيمُthe All-Wise3
لَهُۥTo Himمَا(belong) whateverفِى(is) inٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِthe heavensوَمَاand whateverفِى(is) inٱلْأَرْضِthe earthوَهُوَand Heٱلْعَلِىُّ(is) the Most Highٱلْعَظِيمُthe Most Great4
تَكَادُAlmostٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتُthe heavensيَتَفَطَّرْنَbreak upمِنfromفَوْقِهِنَّabove themوَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُand the Angelsيُسَبِّحُونَglorifyبِحَمْدِ(the) praiseرَبِّهِمْ(of) their Lordوَيَسْتَغْفِرُونَand ask for forgivenessلِمَنfor thoseفِىonٱلْأَرْضِthe earthأَلَآUnquestionablyإِنَّindeedٱللَّهَAllahهُوَHeٱلْغَفُورُ(is) the Oft-Forgivingٱلرَّحِيمُthe Most Merciful5
وَٱلَّذِينَAnd those whoٱتَّخَذُوا۟takeمِنbesidesدُونِهِۦٓbesidesأَوْلِيَآءَprotectorsٱللَّهُAllahحَفِيظٌ(is) a Guardianعَلَيْهِمْover themوَمَآand notأَنتَyouعَلَيْهِم(are) over themبِوَكِيلٍa manager6
وَكَذَٰلِكَAnd thusأَوْحَيْنَآWe have revealedإِلَيْكَto youقُرْءَانًاa Quranعَرَبِيًّا(in) Arabicلِّتُنذِرَthat you may warnأُمَّ(the) motherٱلْقُرَىٰ(of) the townsوَمَنْand whoeverحَوْلَهَا(is) around itوَتُنذِرَand warnيَوْمَ(of the) Dayٱلْجَمْعِ(of) Assemblyلَا(there is) noرَيْبَdoubtفِيهِin itفَرِيقٌA partyفِى(will be) inٱلْجَنَّةِParadiseوَفَرِيقٌand a partyفِىinٱلسَّعِيرِthe Blazing Fire7
وَلَوْAnd ifشَآءَAllah willedٱللَّهُAllah willedلَجَعَلَهُمْHe could have made themأُمَّةًa communityوَٰحِدَةًoneوَلَٰكِنbutيُدْخِلُHe admitsمَنwhomيَشَآءُHe willsفِىin (to)رَحْمَتِهِۦHis MercyوَٱلظَّٰلِمُونَAnd the wrongdoersمَاnotلَهُمfor themمِّنanyوَلِىٍّprotectorوَلَاand notنَصِيرٍany helper8
أَمِOrٱتَّخَذُوا۟have they takenمِنbesides Himدُونِهِۦٓbesides HimأَوْلِيَآءَprotectorsفَٱللَّهُBut Allah هُوَHeٱلْوَلِىُّ(is) the Protectorوَهُوَand Heيُحْىِgives lifeٱلْمَوْتَىٰ(to) the deadوَهُوَAnd Heعَلَىٰ(is) onكُلِّeveryشَىْءٍthingقَدِيرٌAll-Powerful9
وَمَاAnd whateverٱخْتَلَفْتُمْyou differفِيهِin itمِنofشَىْءٍa thingفَحُكْمُهُۥٓthen its rulingإِلَى(is) toٱللَّهِAllahذَٰلِكُمُThatٱللَّهُ(is) Allahرَبِّىmy Lordعَلَيْهِupon HimتَوَكَّلْتُI put my trustوَإِلَيْهِand to HimأُنِيبُI turn10
فَاطِرُ(The) Creatorٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ(of) the heavensوَٱلْأَرْضِand the earthجَعَلَHe madeلَكُمfor youمِّنْfromأَنفُسِكُمْyourselvesأَزْوَٰجًاmatesوَمِنَand amongٱلْأَنْعَٰمِthe cattleأَزْوَٰجًاmatesيَذْرَؤُكُمْHe multiplies youفِيهِtherebyلَيْسَ(There) is notكَمِثْلِهِۦlike Himشَىْءٌanythingوَهُوَand Heٱلسَّمِيعُ(is) the All-Hearerٱلْبَصِيرُthe All-Seer11
لَهُۥTo Him (belongs)مَقَالِيدُ(the) keysٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ(of) the heavensوَٱلْأَرْضِand the earthيَبْسُطُHe extendsٱلرِّزْقَthe provisionلِمَنfor whomيَشَآءُHe willsوَيَقْدِرُand restrictsإِنَّهُۥIndeed, Heبِكُلِّof everyشَىْءٍthingعَلِيمٌ(is) All-Knower12
شَرَعَHe has ordainedلَكُمfor youمِّنَofٱلدِّينِthe religionمَاwhatوَصَّىٰHe enjoinedبِهِۦuponنُوحًاNuhوَٱلَّذِىٓand that whichأَوْحَيْنَآWe have revealedإِلَيْكَto youوَمَاand whatوَصَّيْنَاWe enjoinedبِهِۦٓuponإِبْرَٰهِيمَIbrahimوَمُوسَىٰand Musaوَعِيسَىٰٓand IsaأَنْToأَقِيمُوا۟establishٱلدِّينَthe religionوَلَاand notتَتَفَرَّقُوا۟be dividedفِيهِthereinكَبُرَIs difficultعَلَىonٱلْمُشْرِكِينَthe polytheistsمَاwhatتَدْعُوهُمْyou call themإِلَيْهِto itٱللَّهُAllahيَجْتَبِىٓchoosesإِلَيْهِfor HimselfمَنwhomيَشَآءُHe willsوَيَهْدِىٓand guidesإِلَيْهِto Himselfمَنwhoeverيُنِيبُturns13
وَمَاAnd notتَفَرَّقُوٓا۟they became dividedإِلَّاuntilمِنۢafterبَعْدِafterمَا[what]جَآءَهُمُcame to themٱلْعِلْمُthe knowledgeبَغْيًۢا(out of) rivalryبَيْنَهُمْamong themوَلَوْلَاAnd if notكَلِمَةٌ(for) a wordسَبَقَتْ(that) precededمِنfromرَّبِّكَyour Lordإِلَىٰٓforأَجَلٍa termمُّسَمًّىspecifiedلَّقُضِىَsurely, it (would have) been settledبَيْنَهُمْbetween themوَإِنَّAnd indeedٱلَّذِينَthose whoأُورِثُوا۟were made to inheritٱلْكِتَٰبَthe Bookمِنۢafter themبَعْدِهِمْafter themلَفِى(are) surely inشَكٍّdoubtمِّنْهُconcerning it مُرِيبٍdisquieting14
فَلِذَٰلِكَSo to thatفَٱدْعُthen inviteوَٱسْتَقِمْand stand firmكَمَآasأُمِرْتَyou are commandedوَلَاand (do) notتَتَّبِعْfollowأَهْوَآءَهُمْtheir desiresوَقُلْbut sayءَامَنتُI believeبِمَآin whatأَنزَلَAllah has sent downٱللَّهُAllah has sent downمِنofكِتَٰبٍ(the) Bookوَأُمِرْتُand I am commandedلِأَعْدِلَthat I do justiceبَيْنَكُمُbetween youٱللَّهُAllahرَبُّنَا(is) our Lordوَرَبُّكُمْand your LordلَنَآFor usأَعْمَٰلُنَاour deedsوَلَكُمْand for youأَعْمَٰلُكُمْyour deedsلَا(There is) noحُجَّةَargumentبَيْنَنَاbetween usوَبَيْنَكُمُand between youٱللَّهُAllahيَجْمَعُwill assembleبَيْنَنَا[between] usوَإِلَيْهِand to Himٱلْمَصِيرُ(is) the final return15
وَٱلَّذِينَAnd those whoيُحَآجُّونَargueفِىconcerningٱللَّهِAllahمِنۢafterبَعْدِafterمَا[what]ٱسْتُجِيبَresponse has been made to Himلَهُۥresponse has been made to Himحُجَّتُهُمْtheir argumentدَاحِضَةٌ(is) invalidعِندَwithرَبِّهِمْtheir Lordوَعَلَيْهِمْand upon themغَضَبٌ(is) wrathوَلَهُمْand for themعَذَابٌ(is) a punishmentشَدِيدٌsevere16
ٱللَّهُAllahٱلَّذِىٓ(is) the One Whoأَنزَلَ(has) sent downٱلْكِتَٰبَthe Bookبِٱلْحَقِّin truthوَٱلْمِيزَانَand the BalanceوَمَاAnd whatيُدْرِيكَwill make you knowلَعَلَّPerhapsٱلسَّاعَةَthe Hourقَرِيبٌ(is) near17
يَسْتَعْجِلُSeek to hastenبِهَا[of] itٱلَّذِينَthose whoلَا(do) notيُؤْمِنُونَbelieveبِهَاin itوَٱلَّذِينَand those whoءَامَنُوا۟believeمُشْفِقُونَ(are) fearfulمِنْهَاof itوَيَعْلَمُونَand knowأَنَّهَاthat itٱلْحَقُّ(is) the truthأَلَآUnquestionablyإِنَّindeedٱلَّذِينَthose whoيُمَارُونَdisputeفِىconcerningٱلسَّاعَةِthe Hourلَفِى(are) certainly inضَلَٰلٍۢerrorبَعِيدٍfar18
ٱللَّهُAllahلَطِيفٌۢ(is) Subtleبِعِبَادِهِۦwith His slavesيَرْزُقُHe gives provisionمَن(to) whomيَشَآءُHe willsوَهُوَAnd Heٱلْقَوِىُّ(is) the All-Strongٱلْعَزِيزُthe All-Mighty19
مَنWhoeverكَانَisيُرِيدُdesiringحَرْثَ(the) harvestٱلْءَاخِرَةِ(of) the Hereafter نَزِدْWe increaseلَهُۥfor himفِىinحَرْثِهِۦhis harvestوَمَنAnd whoeverكَانَisيُرِيدُdesiringحَرْثَ(the) harvestٱلدُّنْيَا(of) the worldنُؤْتِهِۦWe give himمِنْهَاof itوَمَاbut notلَهُۥfor himفِىinٱلْءَاخِرَةِthe Hereafterمِنanyنَّصِيبٍshare20
أَمْOrلَهُمْfor themشُرَكَٰٓؤُا۟(are) partnersشَرَعُوا۟who have ordainedلَهُمfor themمِّنَofٱلدِّينِthe religionمَاwhatلَمْnotيَأْذَنۢAllah has given permission of itبِهِAllah has given permission of itٱللَّهُAllah has given permission of itوَلَوْلَاAnd if notكَلِمَةُ(for) a wordٱلْفَصْلِdecisiveلَقُضِىَsurely, it (would have) been judgedبَيْنَهُمْbetween themوَإِنَّAnd indeedٱلظَّٰلِمِينَthe wrongdoersلَهُمْfor themعَذَابٌ(is a) punishmentأَلِيمٌpainful21
تَرَىYou will seeٱلظَّٰلِمِينَthe wrongdoersمُشْفِقِينَfearfulمِمَّاof whatكَسَبُوا۟they earnedوَهُوَand itوَاقِعٌۢ(will) befallبِهِمْ[on] themوَٱلَّذِينَAnd those whoءَامَنُوا۟believeوَعَمِلُوا۟and doٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِrighteous deedsفِى(will be) inرَوْضَاتِflowering meadowsٱلْجَنَّاتِ(of) the Gardensلَهُمfor themمَّا(is) whateverيَشَآءُونَthey wishعِندَwithرَبِّهِمْtheir LordذَٰلِكَThat هُوَitٱلْفَضْلُ(is) the Bountyٱلْكَبِيرُthe Great22
ذَٰلِكَThatٱلَّذِى(is of) whichيُبَشِّرُAllah gives glad tidingsٱللَّهُAllah gives glad tidingsعِبَادَهُ(to) His slaves ٱلَّذِينَthose whoءَامَنُوا۟believeوَعَمِلُوا۟and doٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِrighteous deedsقُلSayلَّآNotأَسْـَٔلُكُمْI ask youعَلَيْهِfor itأَجْرًاany paymentإِلَّاexceptٱلْمَوَدَّةَthe loveفِىamongٱلْقُرْبَىٰthe relativesوَمَنAnd whoeverيَقْتَرِفْearnsحَسَنَةًany goodنَّزِدْWe increaseلَهُۥfor himفِيهَاthereinحُسْنًاgoodإِنَّIndeedٱللَّهَAllahغَفُورٌ(is) Oft-ForgivingشَكُورٌAll-Appreciative23
أَمْOrيَقُولُونَ(do) they sayٱفْتَرَىٰHe has inventedعَلَىaboutٱللَّهِAllahكَذِبًاa lieفَإِنBut ifيَشَإِAllah willedٱللَّهُAllah willedيَخْتِمْHe would sealعَلَىٰ[over]قَلْبِكَyour heartوَيَمْحُAnd Allah eliminatesٱللَّهُAnd Allah eliminatesٱلْبَٰطِلَthe falsehoodوَيُحِقُّand establishesٱلْحَقَّthe truthبِكَلِمَٰتِهِۦٓby His WordsإِنَّهُۥIndeed, Heعَلِيمٌۢ(is) All-Knowingبِذَاتِof whatٱلصُّدُورِ(is in) the breasts24
وَهُوَAnd Heٱلَّذِى(is) the One Whoيَقْبَلُacceptsٱلتَّوْبَةَthe repentanceعَنْofعِبَادِهِۦHis slavesوَيَعْفُوا۟and pardonsعَنِ[of]ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِthe evilوَيَعْلَمُand He knowsمَاwhatتَفْعَلُونَyou do25
وَيَسْتَجِيبُAnd He answersٱلَّذِينَthose whoءَامَنُوا۟believeوَعَمِلُوا۟and doٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِrighteous deedsوَيَزِيدُهُمand increases (for) themمِّنfromفَضْلِهِۦHis BountyوَٱلْكَٰفِرُونَAnd the disbelievers لَهُمْfor themعَذَابٌ(will be) a punishmentشَدِيدٌsevere26
وَلَوْAnd ifبَسَطَAllah extendsٱللَّهُAllah extendsٱلرِّزْقَthe provisionلِعِبَادِهِۦfor His slavesلَبَغَوْا۟surely they would rebelفِىinٱلْأَرْضِthe earthوَلَٰكِنbutيُنَزِّلُHe sends downبِقَدَرٍin (due) measureمَّاwhatيَشَآءُHe willsإِنَّهُۥIndeed, Heبِعِبَادِهِۦof His slavesخَبِيرٌۢ(is) All-AwareبَصِيرٌAll-Seer27
وَهُوَAnd Heٱلَّذِى(is) the One Whoيُنَزِّلُsends downٱلْغَيْثَthe rainمِنۢafterبَعْدِafterمَا[what]قَنَطُوا۟they have despairedوَيَنشُرُand spreadsرَحْمَتَهُۥHis mercyوَهُوَAnd Heٱلْوَلِىُّ(is) the Protectorٱلْحَمِيدُthe Praiseworthy28
وَمِنْAnd amongءَايَٰتِهِۦHis Signsخَلْقُ(is the) creationٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ(of) the heavensوَٱلْأَرْضِand the earthوَمَاand whateverبَثَّHe has dispersedفِيهِمَاin both of themمِنofدَآبَّةٍ(the) creaturesوَهُوَAnd Heعَلَىٰ(is) overجَمْعِهِمْtheir gatheringإِذَاwhenيَشَآءُHe willsقَدِيرٌAll-Powerful29
وَمَآAnd whateverأَصَٰبَكُمbefalls youمِّنofمُّصِيبَةٍ(the) misfortuneفَبِمَا(is because) of whatكَسَبَتْhave earnedأَيْدِيكُمْyour handsوَيَعْفُوا۟But He pardonsعَن[from]كَثِيرٍmuch30
وَمَآAnd notأَنتُمyouبِمُعْجِزِينَ(can) escapeفِىinٱلْأَرْضِthe earthوَمَاand notلَكُمfor youمِّنbesidesدُونِbesidesٱللَّهِAllahمِنanyوَلِىٍّprotectorوَلَاand notنَصِيرٍany helper31
وَمِنْAnd amongءَايَٰتِهِHis Signsٱلْجَوَارِ(are) the shipsفِىinٱلْبَحْرِthe seaكَٱلْأَعْلَٰمِlike [the] mountains32
إِنIfيَشَأْHe willsيُسْكِنِHe can cause the wind to become stillٱلرِّيحَHe can cause the wind to become stillفَيَظْلَلْنَthen they would remainرَوَاكِدَmotionlessعَلَىٰonظَهْرِهِۦٓits backإِنَّIndeedفِىinذَٰلِكَthatلَءَايَٰتٍsurely (are) Signsلِّكُلِّfor everyoneصَبَّارٍpatientشَكُورٍ(and) grateful33
أَوْOrيُوبِقْهُنَّHe could destroy themبِمَاfor whatكَسَبُوا۟they have earnedوَيَعْفُbut He pardonsعَن[from]كَثِيرٍmuch34
وَيَعْلَمَAnd may knowٱلَّذِينَthose whoيُجَٰدِلُونَdisputeفِىٓconcerningءَايَٰتِنَاOur Signsمَا(that) notلَهُمfor themمِّنanyمَّحِيصٍplace of refuge35
فَمَآSo whateverأُوتِيتُمyou are givenمِّنofشَىْءٍa thingفَمَتَٰعُ(is) but a passing enjoymentٱلْحَيَوٰةِ(for) the lifeٱلدُّنْيَا(of) the worldوَمَاBut whatعِندَ(is) withٱللَّهِAllahخَيْرٌ(is) betterوَأَبْقَىٰand more lastingلِلَّذِينَfor those whoءَامَنُوا۟believeوَعَلَىٰand uponرَبِّهِمْtheir Lordيَتَوَكَّلُونَput (their) trust36
وَٱلَّذِينَAnd those whoيَجْتَنِبُونَavoidكَبَٰٓئِرَ(the) greaterٱلْإِثْمِsinsوَٱلْفَوَٰحِشَand the immoralitiesوَإِذَاand whenمَاand whenغَضِبُوا۟they are angryهُمْtheyيَغْفِرُونَforgive37
وَٱلَّذِينَAnd those whoٱسْتَجَابُوا۟respondلِرَبِّهِمْto their Lordوَأَقَامُوا۟and establishٱلصَّلَوٰةَprayerوَأَمْرُهُمْand their affairsشُورَىٰ(are conducted by) consultationبَيْنَهُمْamong themوَمِمَّاand from whatرَزَقْنَٰهُمْWe have provided themيُنفِقُونَthey spend38
وَٱلَّذِينَAnd those whoإِذَآwhenأَصَابَهُمُstrikes themٱلْبَغْىُtyrannyهُمْtheyيَنتَصِرُونَdefend themselves39
وَجَزَٰٓؤُا۟(The) recompenseسَيِّئَةٍ(of) an evilسَيِّئَةٌ(is) an evilمِّثْلُهَاlike itفَمَنْBut whoeverعَفَاpardonsوَأَصْلَحَand makes reconciliationفَأَجْرُهُۥthen his rewardعَلَى(is) onٱللَّهِAllahإِنَّهُۥIndeed, Heلَا(does) notيُحِبُّlikeٱلظَّٰلِمِينَthe wrongdoers40
وَلَمَنِAnd surely whosoeverٱنتَصَرَdefends himselfبَعْدَafterظُلْمِهِۦhe has been wrongedفَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَthen thoseمَاnotعَلَيْهِم(is) against themمِّنanyسَبِيلٍway41
إِنَّمَاOnlyٱلسَّبِيلُthe wayعَلَىagainstٱلَّذِينَthose whoيَظْلِمُونَoppressٱلنَّاسَthe peopleوَيَبْغُونَand rebelفِىinٱلْأَرْضِthe earthبِغَيْرِwithoutٱلْحَقِّrightأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَThoseلَهُمْfor themعَذَابٌ(is) a punishmentأَلِيمٌpainful42
وَلَمَنAnd whoeverصَبَرَ(is) patientوَغَفَرَand forgivesإِنَّindeedذَٰلِكَthatلَمِنْ(is) surely ofعَزْمِmatters of determinationٱلْأُمُورِmatters of determination43
وَمَنAnd whoeverيُضْلِلِAllah lets go astrayٱللَّهُAllah lets go astrayفَمَاthen notلَهُۥfor himمِنanyوَلِىٍّprotectorمِّنۢafter Himبَعْدِهِۦafter HimوَتَرَىAnd you will seeٱلظَّٰلِمِينَthe wrongdoersلَمَّاwhenرَأَوُا۟they seeٱلْعَذَابَthe punishmentيَقُولُونَsayingهَلْIsإِلَىٰ(there) forمَرَدٍّreturnمِّنanyسَبِيلٍway44
وَتَرَىٰهُمْAnd you will see themيُعْرَضُونَbeing exposedعَلَيْهَاto itخَٰشِعِينَhumbledمِنَbyٱلذُّلِّdisgraceيَنظُرُونَlookingمِنwithطَرْفٍa glanceخَفِىٍّstealthyوَقَالَAnd will sayٱلَّذِينَthose whoءَامَنُوٓا۟believedإِنَّIndeedٱلْخَٰسِرِينَthe losersٱلَّذِينَ(are) those whoخَسِرُوٓا۟lostأَنفُسَهُمْthemselvesوَأَهْلِيهِمْand their familiesيَوْمَ(on the) Dayٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ(of) the ResurrectionأَلَآUnquestionablyإِنَّIndeedٱلظَّٰلِمِينَthe wrongdoersفِى(are) inعَذَابٍa punishmentمُّقِيمٍlasting45
وَمَاAnd notكَانَwill beلَهُمfor themمِّنْanyأَوْلِيَآءَprotectorيَنصُرُونَهُم(who) will help themمِّنbesidesدُونِbesidesٱللَّهِAllahوَمَنAnd whomيُضْلِلِAllah lets go astrayٱللَّهُAllah lets go astrayفَمَاthen notلَهُۥfor himمِنanyسَبِيلٍway46
ٱسْتَجِيبُوا۟Respondلِرَبِّكُمto your Lordمِّنbeforeقَبْلِbeforeأَن[that]يَأْتِىَcomesيَوْمٌa Dayلَّا(there is) noمَرَدَّavertingلَهُۥfor itمِنَfromٱللَّهِAllahمَاNotلَكُم(is) for youمِّنanyمَّلْجَإٍrefugeيَوْمَئِذٍ(on) that Dayوَمَاand notلَكُمfor youمِّنanyنَّكِيرٍdenial47
فَإِنْThen ifأَعْرَضُوا۟they turn awayفَمَآthen notأَرْسَلْنَٰكَWe have sent youعَلَيْهِمْover themحَفِيظًا(as) a guardianإِنْNotعَلَيْكَ(is) on youإِلَّاexceptٱلْبَلَٰغُthe conveyanceوَإِنَّآAnd indeedإِذَآwhenأَذَقْنَاWe cause to tasteٱلْإِنسَٰنَ[the] manمِنَّاfrom UsرَحْمَةًMercyفَرِحَhe rejoicesبِهَاin itوَإِنBut ifتُصِبْهُمْbefalls themسَيِّئَةٌۢevilبِمَاfor whatقَدَّمَتْhave sent forthأَيْدِيهِمْtheir handsفَإِنَّthen indeedٱلْإِنسَٰنَ[the] manكَفُورٌ(is) ungrateful48
لِّلَّهِTo Allahمُلْكُ(belongs the) dominionٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ(of) the heavensوَٱلْأَرْضِand the earthيَخْلُقُHe createsمَاwhatيَشَآءُHe willsيَهَبُHe grantsلِمَنto whomيَشَآءُHe willsإِنَٰثًاfemalesوَيَهَبُand He grantsلِمَنto whomيَشَآءُHe willsٱلذُّكُورَ[the] males49
أَوْOrيُزَوِّجُهُمْHe grants themذُكْرَانًاmalesوَإِنَٰثًاand femalesوَيَجْعَلُand He makesمَنwhomيَشَآءُHe willsعَقِيمًاbarrenإِنَّهُۥIndeed, Heعَلِيمٌ(is) All-KnowerقَدِيرٌAll-Powerful50
وَمَاAnd notكَانَisلِبَشَرٍfor any humanأَنthatيُكَلِّمَهُAllah should speak to himٱللَّهُAllah should speak to himإِلَّاexceptوَحْيًا(by) revelationأَوْorمِنfromوَرَآئِbehindحِجَابٍa veilأَوْorيُرْسِلَ(by) sendingرَسُولًاa messengerفَيُوحِىَthen he revealsبِإِذْنِهِۦby His permissionمَاwhatيَشَآءُHe willsإِنَّهُۥIndeed, Heعَلِىٌّ(is) Most HighحَكِيمٌMost Wise51
وَكَذَٰلِكَAnd thusأَوْحَيْنَآWe have revealedإِلَيْكَto youرُوحًاan inspirationمِّنْbyأَمْرِنَاOur CommandمَاNotكُنتَ(did) youتَدْرِىknowمَاwhatٱلْكِتَٰبُthe Book (is)وَلَاand notٱلْإِيمَٰنُthe faithوَلَٰكِنButجَعَلْنَٰهُWe have made itنُورًاa lightنَّهْدِىWe guideبِهِۦwith itمَنwhomنَّشَآءُWe willمِنْofعِبَادِنَاOur slavesوَإِنَّكَAnd indeed, youلَتَهْدِىٓsurely guideإِلَىٰtoصِرَٰطٍ(the) PathمُّسْتَقِيمٍStraight52
صِرَٰطِ(The) pathٱللَّهِ(of) Allahٱلَّذِىthe Oneلَهُۥto Whomمَا(belongs) whateverفِى(is) inٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِthe heavensوَمَاand whateverفِى(is) inٱلْأَرْضِthe earthأَلَآUnquestionablyإِلَىToٱللَّهِAllahتَصِيرُreachٱلْأُمُورُall affairs53

إِنَّاIndeed, Weجَعَلْنَٰهُ(have) made itقُرْءَٰنًاa Quranعَرَبِيًّا(in) Arabicلَّعَلَّكُمْso that you mayتَعْقِلُونَunderstand3
وَإِنَّهُۥAnd indeed, itفِىٓ(is) inأُمِّ(the) Motherٱلْكِتَٰبِ(of) the Bookلَدَيْنَاwith Usلَعَلِىٌّsurely exaltedحَكِيمٌfull of wisdom4
أَفَنَضْرِبُThen should We take awayعَنكُمُfrom youٱلذِّكْرَthe Reminderصَفْحًاdisregarding (you)أَنbecauseكُنتُمْyou areقَوْمًاa peopleمُّسْرِفِينَtransgressing5
وَمَاAnd notيَأْتِيهِمcame to themمِّنany Prophetنَّبِىٍّany Prophetإِلَّاbutكَانُوا۟they used toبِهِۦmock at himيَسْتَهْزِءُونَmock at him7
فَأَهْلَكْنَآThen We destroyedأَشَدَّstrongerمِنْهُمthan themبَطْشًا(in) powerوَمَضَىٰand has passedمَثَلُ(the) exampleٱلْأَوَّلِينَ(of) the former (people)8
وَلَئِنAnd ifسَأَلْتَهُمyou ask themمَّنْWhoخَلَقَcreatedٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِthe heavensوَٱلْأَرْضَand the earthلَيَقُولُنَّThey will surely sayخَلَقَهُنَّCreated themٱلْعَزِيزُthe All-Mightyٱلْعَلِيمُthe All-Knower9
ٱلَّذِىThe One Whoجَعَلَmadeلَكُمُfor youٱلْأَرْضَthe earthمَهْدًاa bedوَجَعَلَand madeلَكُمْfor youفِيهَاthereinسُبُلًاroadsلَّعَلَّكُمْso that you mayتَهْتَدُونَ(be) guided10
وَٱلَّذِىAnd the One Whoنَزَّلَsends downمِنَfromٱلسَّمَآءِthe skyمَآءًۢwaterبِقَدَرٍin (due) measureفَأَنشَرْنَاthen We reviveبِهِۦwith itبَلْدَةًa landمَّيْتًاdeadكَذَٰلِكَthusتُخْرَجُونَyou will be brought forth11
وَٱلَّذِىAnd the One Whoخَلَقَcreatedٱلْأَزْوَٰجَthe pairsكُلَّهَاall of themوَجَعَلَand madeلَكُمfor youمِّنَ[of]ٱلْفُلْكِthe shipsوَٱلْأَنْعَٰمِand the cattleمَاwhatتَرْكَبُونَyou ride12
لِتَسْتَوُۥا۟That you may sit firmlyعَلَىٰonظُهُورِهِۦtheir backsثُمَّthenتَذْكُرُوا۟rememberنِعْمَةَ(the) favorرَبِّكُمْ(of) your Lordإِذَاwhenٱسْتَوَيْتُمْyou sit firmlyعَلَيْهِon themوَتَقُولُوا۟and sayسُبْحَٰنَGlory be (to)ٱلَّذِىthe One Whoسَخَّرَ(has) subjectedلَنَاto usهَٰذَاthisوَمَاand notكُنَّاwe wereلَهُۥof itمُقْرِنِينَcapable13
وَجَعَلُوا۟But they attributeلَهُۥto HimمِنْfromعِبَادِهِۦHis slavesجُزْءًاa portionإِنَّIndeedٱلْإِنسَٰنَmanلَكَفُورٌsurely (is) clearly ungratefulمُّبِينٌsurely (is) clearly ungrateful15
أَمِOrٱتَّخَذَhas He takenمِمَّاof whatيَخْلُقُHe has createdبَنَاتٍdaughtersوَأَصْفَىٰكُمand He has chosen (for) youبِٱلْبَنِينَsons16
وَإِذَاAnd whenبُشِّرَis given good newsأَحَدُهُم(to) one of themبِمَاof whatضَرَبَhe sets upلِلرَّحْمَٰنِfor the Most Graciousمَثَلًا(as) a likenessظَلَّbecomesوَجْهُهُۥhis faceمُسْوَدًّاdarkوَهُوَand heكَظِيمٌ(is) filled with grief17
أَوَمَنThen (is one) whoيُنَشَّؤُا۟is brought upفِىinٱلْحِلْيَةِornamentsوَهُوَand heفِىinٱلْخِصَامِthe disputeغَيْرُ(is) notمُبِينٍclear18
وَجَعَلُوا۟And they madeٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةَthe Angelsٱلَّذِينَthose whoهُمْthemselvesعِبَٰدُ(are) slavesٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ(of) the Most Graciousإِنَٰثًاfemalesأَشَهِدُوا۟Did they witnessخَلْقَهُمْtheir creationسَتُكْتَبُWill be recordedشَهَٰدَتُهُمْtheir testimonyوَيُسْـَٔلُونَand they will be questioned19
وَقَالُوا۟And they sayلَوْIfشَآءَhad willedٱلرَّحْمَٰنُthe Most Graciousمَاwe would not have worshipped themعَبَدْنَٰهُمwe would not have worshipped themمَّاNotلَهُمthey haveبِذَٰلِكَabout thatمِنْanyعِلْمٍknowledgeإِنْNothingهُمْthey (do)إِلَّاbutيَخْرُصُونَlie20
أَمْOrءَاتَيْنَٰهُمْhave We given themكِتَٰبًاa bookمِّنbefore itقَبْلِهِۦbefore itفَهُمso theyبِهِۦto itمُسْتَمْسِكُونَ(are) holding fast21
بَلْNayقَالُوٓا۟they sayإِنَّاIndeed, weوَجَدْنَآ[we] foundءَابَآءَنَاour forefathersعَلَىٰٓuponأُمَّةٍa religionوَإِنَّاand indeed, weعَلَىٰٓonءَاثَٰرِهِمtheir footstepsمُّهْتَدُونَ(are) guided22
وَكَذَٰلِكَAnd thusمَآnotأَرْسَلْنَاWe sentمِنbefore youقَبْلِكَbefore youفِىinقَرْيَةٍa townمِّنanyنَّذِيرٍwarnerإِلَّاexceptقَالَsaidمُتْرَفُوهَآ(the) wealthy ones of itإِنَّاIndeed, weوَجَدْنَآ[we] foundءَابَآءَنَاour forefathersعَلَىٰٓonأُمَّةٍa religionوَإِنَّاand indeed, weعَلَىٰٓ[on]ءَاثَٰرِهِمtheir footstepsمُّقْتَدُونَ(are) following23
قَٰلَHe saidأَوَلَوْEven ifجِئْتُكُمI brought youبِأَهْدَىٰbetter guidanceمِمَّاthan whatوَجَدتُّمْyou foundعَلَيْهِon itءَابَآءَكُمْyour forefathersقَالُوٓا۟They saidإِنَّاIndeed, weبِمَآwith whatأُرْسِلْتُمyou are sentبِهِۦwith [it]كَٰفِرُونَ(are) disbelievers24
فَٱنتَقَمْنَاSo We took retributionمِنْهُمْfrom themفَٱنظُرْThen seeكَيْفَhowكَانَwasعَٰقِبَةُ(the) endٱلْمُكَذِّبِينَ(of) the deniers25
وَإِذْAnd whenقَالَIbrahim SaidإِبْرَٰهِيمُIbrahim Saidلِأَبِيهِto his fatherوَقَوْمِهِۦٓand his peopleإِنَّنِىIndeed, I (am)بَرَآءٌdisassociatedمِّمَّاfrom whatتَعْبُدُونَyou worship26
وَجَعَلَهَاAnd he made itكَلِمَةًۢa wordبَاقِيَةًlastingفِىamongعَقِبِهِۦhis descendentsلَعَلَّهُمْso that they mayيَرْجِعُونَreturn28
بَلْNayمَتَّعْتُI gave enjoymentهَٰٓؤُلَآءِ(to) theseوَءَابَآءَهُمْand their forefathersحَتَّىٰuntilجَآءَهُمُcame to themٱلْحَقُّthe truthوَرَسُولٌand a Messengerمُّبِينٌclear29
وَلَمَّاAnd whenجَآءَهُمُcame to themٱلْحَقُّthe truthقَالُوا۟they saidهَٰذَاThisسِحْرٌ(is) magicوَإِنَّاand indeed, weبِهِۦof itكَٰفِرُونَ(are) disbelievers30
وَقَالُوا۟And they sayلَوْلَاWhy notنُزِّلَwas sent downهَٰذَاthisٱلْقُرْءَانُthe Quranعَلَىٰtoرَجُلٍa manمِّنَfromٱلْقَرْيَتَيْنِthe two townsعَظِيمٍgreat31
أَهُمْDo theyيَقْسِمُونَdistributeرَحْمَتَ(the) Mercyرَبِّكَ(of) your LordنَحْنُWeقَسَمْنَا[We] distributeبَيْنَهُمamong themمَّعِيشَتَهُمْtheir livelihoodفِىinٱلْحَيَوٰةِthe lifeٱلدُّنْيَا(of) the worldوَرَفَعْنَاand We raiseبَعْضَهُمْsome of themفَوْقَaboveبَعْضٍothersدَرَجَٰتٍ(in) degreesلِّيَتَّخِذَso that may takeبَعْضُهُمsome of themبَعْضًاothersسُخْرِيًّا(for) serviceوَرَحْمَتُBut (the) Mercyرَبِّكَ(of) your Lordخَيْرٌ(is) betterمِّمَّاthan whatيَجْمَعُونَthey accumulate32
وَلَوْلَآAnd if notأَنthatيَكُونَ(would) becomeٱلنَّاسُ[the] mankindأُمَّةًa communityوَٰحِدَةًoneلَّجَعَلْنَاWe (would have) madeلِمَنfor (one) whoيَكْفُرُdisbelievesبِٱلرَّحْمَٰنِin the Most Graciousلِبُيُوتِهِمْfor their housesسُقُفًاroofsمِّنofفِضَّةٍsilverوَمَعَارِجَand stairwaysعَلَيْهَاupon whichيَظْهَرُونَthey mount33
وَلِبُيُوتِهِمْAnd for their housesأَبْوَٰبًاdoorsوَسُرُرًاand couchesعَلَيْهَاupon whichيَتَّكِـُٔونَthey recline34
وَزُخْرُفًاAnd ornaments of goldوَإِنAnd not (is)كُلُّallذَٰلِكَthatلَمَّاbutمَتَٰعُan enjoymentٱلْحَيَوٰةِ(of) the lifeٱلدُّنْيَا(of) the worldوَٱلْءَاخِرَةُAnd the Hereafterعِندَwithرَبِّكَyour Lordلِلْمُتَّقِينَ(is) for the righteous35
وَمَنAnd whoeverيَعْشُturns awayعَنfromذِكْرِ(the) remembranceٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ(of) the Most GraciousنُقَيِّضْWe appointلَهُۥfor himشَيْطَٰنًاa devilفَهُوَthen heلَهُۥ(is) to himقَرِينٌa companion36
وَإِنَّهُمْAnd indeed, theyلَيَصُدُّونَهُمْsurely, turn themعَنِfromٱلسَّبِيلِthe Pathوَيَحْسَبُونَand they thinkأَنَّهُمthat theyمُّهْتَدُونَ(are) guided37
حَتَّىٰٓUntilإِذَاwhenجَآءَنَاhe comes to Usقَالَhe saysيَٰلَيْتَO would thatبَيْنِىbetween meوَبَيْنَكَand between youبُعْدَ(were the) distanceٱلْمَشْرِقَيْنِ(of) the East and the WestفَبِئْسَHow wretched isٱلْقَرِينُthe companion38
وَلَنAnd neverيَنفَعَكُمُwill benefit youٱلْيَوْمَthe Dayإِذwhenظَّلَمْتُمْyou have wrongedأَنَّكُمْthat youفِى(will be) inٱلْعَذَابِthe punishmentمُشْتَرِكُونَsharing39
أَفَأَنتَThen can youتُسْمِعُcause to hearٱلصُّمَّthe deafأَوْorتَهْدِىguideٱلْعُمْىَthe blindوَمَنand (one) whoكَانَisفِىinضَلَٰلٍan errorمُّبِينٍclear40
فَإِمَّاAnd whetherنَذْهَبَنَّWe take you awayبِكَWe take you awayفَإِنَّاthen indeed, Weمِنْهُمfrom themمُّنتَقِمُونَ(will) take retribution41
أَوْOrنُرِيَنَّكَWe show youٱلَّذِىthat whichوَعَدْنَٰهُمْWe have promised themفَإِنَّاthen indeed, Weعَلَيْهِمover themمُّقْتَدِرُونَhave full power42
فَٱسْتَمْسِكْSo hold fastبِٱلَّذِىٓto that whichأُوحِىَis revealedإِلَيْكَto youإِنَّكَIndeed, youعَلَىٰ(are) onصِرَٰطٍa PathمُّسْتَقِيمٍStraight43
وَإِنَّهُۥAnd indeed, itلَذِكْرٌ(is) surely, a Reminderلَّكَfor youوَلِقَوْمِكَand your peopleوَسَوْفَand soonتُسْـَٔلُونَyou will be questioned44
وَسْـَٔلْAnd askمَنْ(those) whomأَرْسَلْنَاWe sentمِنbefore youقَبْلِكَbefore youمِنofرُّسُلِنَآOur Messengersأَجَعَلْنَاdid We makeمِنbesidesدُونِbesidesٱلرَّحْمَٰنِthe Most Graciousءَالِهَةًgodsيُعْبَدُونَto be worshipped45
وَلَقَدْAnd certainlyأَرْسَلْنَاWe sentمُوسَىٰMusaبِـَٔايَٰتِنَآwith Our SignsإِلَىٰtoفِرْعَوْنَFiraunوَمَلَإِي۟هِۦand his chiefsفَقَالَand he saidإِنِّىIndeed, I amرَسُولُa Messengerرَبِّ(of the) Lordٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ(of) the worlds46
فَلَمَّاBut whenجَآءَهُمhe came to themبِـَٔايَٰتِنَآwith Our SignsإِذَاbeholdهُمTheyمِّنْهَاat themيَضْحَكُونَlaughed47
وَمَاAnd notنُرِيهِمWe showed themمِّنْofءَايَةٍa Signإِلَّاbutهِىَitأَكْبَرُ(was) greaterمِنْthanأُخْتِهَاits sisterوَأَخَذْنَٰهُمand We seized themبِٱلْعَذَابِwith the punishmentلَعَلَّهُمْso that they mayيَرْجِعُونَreturn48
وَقَالُوا۟And they saidيَٰٓأَيُّهَOٱلسَّاحِرُ[the] magicianٱدْعُInvokeلَنَاfor usرَبَّكَyour Lordبِمَاby whatعَهِدَHe has made covenantعِندَكَwith youإِنَّنَاIndeed, weلَمُهْتَدُونَ(will) surely be guided49
فَلَمَّاBut whenكَشَفْنَاWe removedعَنْهُمُfrom themٱلْعَذَابَthe punishmentإِذَاbeholdهُمْTheyيَنكُثُونَbroke (their word)50
وَنَادَىٰAnd called outفِرْعَوْنُFiraunفِىamongقَوْمِهِۦhis peopleقَالَhe saidيَٰقَوْمِO my peopleأَلَيْسَIs notلِىfor meمُلْكُ(the) kingdomمِصْرَ(of) Egyptوَهَٰذِهِand theseٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ[the] riversتَجْرِىflowingمِنunderneath meتَحْتِىٓunderneath meأَفَلَاThen do notتُبْصِرُونَyou see51
أَمْOrأَنَاam Iخَيْرٌbetterمِّنْthanهَٰذَاthisٱلَّذِىone who هُوَheمَهِينٌ(is) insignificantوَلَاand hardlyيَكَادُand hardlyيُبِينُclear52
فَلَوْلَآThen why notأُلْقِىَare placedعَلَيْهِon himأَسْوِرَةٌbraceletsمِّنofذَهَبٍgoldأَوْorجَآءَcomeمَعَهُwith himٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُthe Angelsمُقْتَرِنِينَaccompanying (him)53
فَٱسْتَخَفَّSo he bluffedقَوْمَهُۥhis peopleفَأَطَاعُوهُand they obeyed himإِنَّهُمْIndeed, theyكَانُوا۟wereقَوْمًاa peopleفَٰسِقِينَdefiantly disobedient54
فَلَمَّآSo whenءَاسَفُونَاthey angered UsٱنتَقَمْنَاWe took retributionمِنْهُمْfrom themفَأَغْرَقْنَٰهُمْand We drowned themأَجْمَعِينَall55
فَجَعَلْنَٰهُمْAnd We made themسَلَفًاa precedentوَمَثَلًاand an exampleلِّلْءَاخِرِينَfor the later (generations)56
وَلَمَّاAnd whenضُرِبَis presentedٱبْنُ(the) sonمَرْيَمَ(of) Maryamمَثَلًا(as) an exampleإِذَاbeholdقَوْمُكَYour peopleمِنْهُabout itيَصِدُّونَlaughed aloud57
وَقَالُوٓا۟And they saidءَأَٰلِهَتُنَاAre our godsخَيْرٌbetterأَمْorهُوَheمَاNotضَرَبُوهُthey present itلَكَto youإِلَّاexceptجَدَلًۢا(for) argumentبَلْNayهُمْtheyقَوْمٌ(are) a peopleخَصِمُونَargumentative58
إِنْNotهُوَheإِلَّا(was) exceptعَبْدٌa slaveأَنْعَمْنَاWe bestowed Our favorعَلَيْهِon himوَجَعَلْنَٰهُand We made himمَثَلًاan exampleلِّبَنِىٓfor (the) Children of Israelإِسْرَٰٓءِيلَfor (the) Children of Israel59
وَلَوْAnd ifنَشَآءُWe willedلَجَعَلْنَاsurely We (could have) madeمِنكُمamong youمَّلَٰٓئِكَةًAngelsفِىinٱلْأَرْضِthe earthيَخْلُفُونَsucceeding60
وَإِنَّهُۥAnd indeed, itلَعِلْمٌsurely (is) a knowledgeلِّلسَّاعَةِof the HourفَلَاSo (do) notتَمْتَرُنَّ(be) doubtfulبِهَاabout itوَٱتَّبِعُونِand follow MeهَٰذَاThisصِرَٰطٌ(is the) PathمُّسْتَقِيمٌStraight61
وَلَاAnd (let) notيَصُدَّنَّكُمُavert youٱلشَّيْطَٰنُthe ShaitaanإِنَّهُۥIndeed, heلَكُمْ(is) for youعَدُوٌّan enemyمُّبِينٌclear62
وَلَمَّاAnd whenجَآءَcameعِيسَىٰIsaبِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِwith clear proofsقَالَhe saidقَدْVerilyجِئْتُكُمI have come to youبِٱلْحِكْمَةِwith wisdomوَلِأُبَيِّنَand that I make clearلَكُمto youبَعْضَsomeٱلَّذِى(of) that whichتَخْتَلِفُونَyou differفِيهِin itفَٱتَّقُوا۟So fearٱللَّهَAllahوَأَطِيعُونِand obey me63
إِنَّIndeedٱللَّهَAllahهُوَHeرَبِّى(is) my Lordوَرَبُّكُمْand your Lordفَٱعْبُدُوهُso worship HimهَٰذَاThisصِرَٰطٌ(is) a PathمُّسْتَقِيمٌStraight64
فَٱخْتَلَفَBut differedٱلْأَحْزَابُthe factionsمِنۢfromبَيْنِهِمْamong themفَوَيْلٌso woeلِّلَّذِينَto those whoظَلَمُوا۟wrongedمِنْfromعَذَابِ(the) punishmentيَوْمٍ(of the) Dayأَلِيمٍpainful65
هَلْAreيَنظُرُونَthey waitingإِلَّاexceptٱلسَّاعَةَ(for) the Hourأَنthatتَأْتِيَهُمit should come on themبَغْتَةًsuddenlyوَهُمْwhile theyلَا(do) notيَشْعُرُونَperceive66
ٱلْأَخِلَّآءُFriendsيَوْمَئِذٍۢthat Dayبَعْضُهُمْsome of themلِبَعْضٍto othersعَدُوٌّ(will be) enemiesإِلَّاexceptٱلْمُتَّقِينَthe righteous67
يَٰعِبَادِO My slavesلَاNoخَوْفٌfearعَلَيْكُمُon youٱلْيَوْمَthis Dayوَلَآand notأَنتُمْyouتَحْزَنُونَwill grieve68
ٱلَّذِينَThose whoءَامَنُوا۟believedبِـَٔايَٰتِنَاin Our Versesوَكَانُوا۟and wereمُسْلِمِينَsubmissive69
يُطَافُWill be circulatedعَلَيْهِمfor themبِصِحَافٍplatesمِّنofذَهَبٍgoldوَأَكْوَابٍand cupsوَفِيهَاAnd thereinمَا(is) whatتَشْتَهِيهِdesiresٱلْأَنفُسُthe soulsوَتَلَذُّand delightsٱلْأَعْيُنُthe eyesوَأَنتُمْand youفِيهَاthereinخَٰلِدُونَwill abide forever71
وَتِلْكَAnd thisٱلْجَنَّةُ(is) the Paradiseٱلَّتِىٓwhichأُورِثْتُمُوهَاyou are made to inheritبِمَاfor whatكُنتُمْyou used toتَعْمَلُونَdo72
لَكُمْFor youفِيهَاthereinفَٰكِهَةٌ(are) fruitsكَثِيرَةٌabundantمِّنْهَاfrom itتَأْكُلُونَyou will eat73
إِنَّIndeedٱلْمُجْرِمِينَthe criminalsفِى(will be) inعَذَابِ(the) punishmentجَهَنَّمَ(of) Hellخَٰلِدُونَabiding forever74
وَمَاAnd notظَلَمْنَٰهُمْWe wronged themوَلَٰكِنbutكَانُوا۟they wereهُمُthemselvesٱلظَّٰلِمِينَwrongdoers76
وَنَادَوْا۟And they will callيَٰمَٰلِكُO MalikلِيَقْضِLet put an endعَلَيْنَاto usرَبُّكَyour LordقَالَHe (will) sayإِنَّكُمIndeed, youمَّٰكِثُونَ(will) remain77
لَقَدْCertainlyجِئْنَٰكُمWe have brought youبِٱلْحَقِّthe truthوَلَٰكِنَّbutأَكْثَرَكُمْmost of youلِلْحَقِّto the truthكَٰرِهُونَ(are) averse78
أَمْOrأَبْرَمُوٓا۟have they determinedأَمْرًاan affairفَإِنَّاThen indeed, Weمُبْرِمُونَ(are) determined79
أَمْOrيَحْسَبُونَ(do) they thinkأَنَّاthat Weلَا(can) notنَسْمَعُhearسِرَّهُمْtheir secret(s)وَنَجْوَىٰهُمand their private counsel(s)بَلَىٰNayوَرُسُلُنَاand Our Messengersلَدَيْهِمْwith themيَكْتُبُونَare recording80
قُلْSayإِنIfكَانَhadلِلرَّحْمَٰنِthe Most Graciousوَلَدٌa sonفَأَنَاThen, Iأَوَّلُ(would be the) firstٱلْعَٰبِدِينَ(of) the worshippers81
سُبْحَٰنَGlory beرَبِّ(to the) Lordٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ(of) the heavensوَٱلْأَرْضِand the earthرَبِّ(the) Lordٱلْعَرْشِ(of) the Throneعَمَّاabove whatيَصِفُونَthey ascribe82
فَذَرْهُمْSo leave themيَخُوضُوا۟(to) converse vainlyوَيَلْعَبُوا۟and playحَتَّىٰuntilيُلَٰقُوا۟they meetيَوْمَهُمُtheir Dayٱلَّذِىwhichيُوعَدُونَthey are promised83
وَهُوَAnd Heٱلَّذِى(is) the One Whoفِى(is) inٱلسَّمَآءِthe heaven إِلَٰهٌGodوَفِىand inٱلْأَرْضِthe earth إِلَٰهٌGodوَهُوَAnd Heٱلْحَكِيمُ(is) the All-Wiseٱلْعَلِيمُthe All-Knower84
وَتَبَارَكَAnd blessed (is)ٱلَّذِىthe One Who لَهُۥto Whomمُلْكُ(belongs the) dominionٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ(of) the heavensوَٱلْأَرْضِand the earthوَمَاand whateverبَيْنَهُمَا(is) between both of themوَعِندَهُۥand with Himعِلْمُ(is the) knowledgeٱلسَّاعَةِ(of) the Hourوَإِلَيْهِand to Himتُرْجَعُونَyou will be returned85
وَلَاAnd notيَمْلِكُhave powerٱلَّذِينَthose whomيَدْعُونَthey invokeمِنbesides Himدُونِهِbesides Himٱلشَّفَٰعَةَ(for) the intercessionإِلَّاexceptمَنwhoشَهِدَtestifiesبِٱلْحَقِّto the truthوَهُمْand theyيَعْلَمُونَknow86
وَلَئِنAnd ifسَأَلْتَهُمyou ask themمَّنْwhoخَلَقَهُمْcreated themلَيَقُولُنَّthey will certainly sayٱللَّهُAllahفَأَنَّىٰThen howيُؤْفَكُونَare they deluded87
وَقِيلِهِۦAnd his sayingيَٰرَبِّO my LordإِنَّIndeedهَٰٓؤُلَآءِtheseقَوْمٌ(are) a peopleلَّا(who do) notيُؤْمِنُونَbelieve88
فَٱصْفَحْSo turn awayعَنْهُمْfrom themوَقُلْand sayسَلَٰمٌPeaceفَسَوْفَBut soonيَعْلَمُونَthey will know89

رَحْمَةًAs Mercyمِّنfromرَّبِّكَyour LordإِنَّهُۥIndeed, Heهُوَ[He]ٱلسَّمِيعُ(is) the All-Hearerٱلْعَلِيمُthe All-Knower6
رَبِّLordٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ(of) the heavensوَٱلْأَرْضِand the earthوَمَاand whateverبَيْنَهُمَآ(is) between both of themإِنifكُنتُمyou areمُّوقِنِينَcertain7
لَآ(There is) noإِلَٰهَgodإِلَّاexceptهُوَHimيُحْىِۦHe gives lifeوَيُمِيتُand causes deathرَبُّكُمْyour Lordوَرَبُّand (the) Lordءَابَآئِكُمُ(of) your fathersٱلْأَوَّلِينَthe former8
فَٱرْتَقِبْThen watchيَوْمَ(for the) Dayتَأْتِى(when) will bringٱلسَّمَآءُthe skyبِدُخَانٍsmokeمُّبِينٍvisible10
رَّبَّنَاOur LordٱكْشِفْRemoveعَنَّاfrom usٱلْعَذَابَthe punishmentإِنَّاindeed, weمُؤْمِنُونَ(are) believers12
أَنَّىٰHow canلَهُمُ(there be) for themٱلذِّكْرَىٰthe reminderوَقَدْwhen verilyجَآءَهُمْhad come to themرَسُولٌa Messengerمُّبِينٌclear13
ثُمَّThenتَوَلَّوْا۟they turned awayعَنْهُfrom himوَقَالُوا۟and saidمُعَلَّمٌOne taughtمَّجْنُونٌa mad man14
إِنَّاIndeed, Weكَاشِفُوا۟(will) removeٱلْعَذَابِthe punishmentقَلِيلًاa littleإِنَّكُمْindeed, youعَآئِدُونَ(will) return15
يَوْمَ(The) DayنَبْطِشُWe will seizeٱلْبَطْشَةَ(with) the seizureٱلْكُبْرَىٰٓthe greatestإِنَّاindeed, Weمُنتَقِمُونَ(will) take retribution16
وَلَقَدْAnd certainlyفَتَنَّاWe triedقَبْلَهُمْbefore themقَوْمَ(the) peopleفِرْعَوْنَ(of) Firaunوَجَآءَهُمْand came to themرَسُولٌa Messengerكَرِيمٌnoble17
أَنْThatأَدُّوٓا۟Deliverإِلَىَّto meعِبَادَ(the) servantsٱللَّهِ(of) AllahإِنِّىIndeed, I amلَكُمْto youرَسُولٌa Messengerأَمِينٌtrustworthy18
وَأَنAnd thatلَّا(do) notتَعْلُوا۟exalt yourselvesعَلَىagainstٱللَّهِAllahإِنِّىٓIndeed, Iءَاتِيكُم[I] have come to youبِسُلْطَٰنٍwith an authorityمُّبِينٍclear19
وَإِنِّىAnd indeed, Iعُذْتُ[I] seek refugeبِرَبِّىwith my Lordوَرَبِّكُمْand your Lordأَنlestتَرْجُمُونِyou stone me20
فَدَعَاSo he calledرَبَّهُۥٓhis LordأَنَّThatهَٰٓؤُلَآءِtheseقَوْمٌ(are) a peopleمُّجْرِمُونَcriminals22
فَأَسْرِThen "Set outبِعِبَادِىwith My slavesلَيْلًا(by) nightإِنَّكُمIndeed, youمُّتَّبَعُونَ(will be) followed23
وَٱتْرُكِAnd leaveٱلْبَحْرَthe seaرَهْوًاat restإِنَّهُمْIndeed, theyجُندٌ(are) an armyمُّغْرَقُونَ(to be) drowned24
كَذَٰلِكَThusوَأَوْرَثْنَٰهَاAnd We made it (an) inherit(ance)قَوْمًا(for) a peopleءَاخَرِينَanother28
فَمَاAnd notبَكَتْweptعَلَيْهِمُfor themٱلسَّمَآءُthe heavenوَٱلْأَرْضُand the earthوَمَاand notكَانُوا۟they wereمُنظَرِينَgiven respite29
وَلَقَدْAnd certainlyنَجَّيْنَاWe savedبَنِىٓ(the) Children of Israelإِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ(the) Children of Israelمِنَfromٱلْعَذَابِthe punishmentٱلْمُهِينِthe humiliating30
مِنFromفِرْعَوْنَFiraunإِنَّهُۥIndeed, heكَانَwasعَالِيًاarrogantمِّنَamongٱلْمُسْرِفِينَthe transgressors31
وَلَقَدِAnd certainlyٱخْتَرْنَٰهُمْWe chose themعَلَىٰbyعِلْمٍknowledgeعَلَىoverٱلْعَٰلَمِينَthe worlds32
وَءَاتَيْنَٰهُمAnd We gave themمِّنَofٱلْءَايَٰتِthe Signsمَاthatفِيهِin itبَلَٰٓؤٌا۟(was) a trialمُّبِينٌclear33
إِنْNotهِىَitإِلَّا(is) butمَوْتَتُنَاour deathٱلْأُولَىٰthe firstوَمَاand notنَحْنُweبِمُنشَرِينَ(will be) raised again35
أَهُمْAre theyخَيْرٌbetterأَمْorقَوْمُ(the) peopleتُبَّعٍ(of) Tubbaوَٱلَّذِينَand thoseمِنbefore themقَبْلِهِمْbefore themأَهْلَكْنَٰهُمْWe destroyed themإِنَّهُمْindeed, theyكَانُوا۟wereمُجْرِمِينَcriminals37
وَمَاAnd notخَلَقْنَاWe createdٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِthe heavensوَٱلْأَرْضَand the earthوَمَاand whateverبَيْنَهُمَا(is) between themلَٰعِبِينَ(in) play38
مَاNotخَلَقْنَٰهُمَآWe created both of themإِلَّاbutبِٱلْحَقِّin [the] truthوَلَٰكِنَّbutأَكْثَرَهُمْmost of themلَا(do) notيَعْلَمُونَknow39
إِنَّIndeedيَوْمَ(the) Day of Judgmentٱلْفَصْلِ(the) Day of Judgmentمِيقَٰتُهُمْ(is) an appointed term for themأَجْمَعِينَall40
يَوْمَ(The) Dayلَاnotيُغْنِىwill availمَوْلًىa relationعَنforمَّوْلًىa relationشَيْـًٔاanythingوَلَاand notهُمْtheyيُنصَرُونَwill be helped41
إِلَّاExceptمَن(on) whomرَّحِمَAllah has mercyٱللَّهُAllah has mercyإِنَّهُۥIndeed, Heهُوَ[He]ٱلْعَزِيزُ(is) the All-Mightyٱلرَّحِيمُthe Most Merciful42
ثُمَّThenصُبُّوا۟pourفَوْقَoverرَأْسِهِۦhis headمِنْofعَذَابِ(the) punishmentٱلْحَمِيمِ(of) the scalding water48
يَلْبَسُونَWearing garmentsمِنofسُندُسٍfine silkوَإِسْتَبْرَقٍand heavy silkمُّتَقَٰبِلِينَfacing each other53
كَذَٰلِكَThusوَزَوَّجْنَٰهُمAnd We will marry themبِحُورٍ(to) companions with beautiful eyesعِينٍ(to) companions with beautiful eyes54
لَاNotيَذُوقُونَthey will tasteفِيهَاthereinٱلْمَوْتَthe deathإِلَّاexceptٱلْمَوْتَةَthe deathٱلْأُولَىٰthe firstوَوَقَىٰهُمْAnd He will protect themعَذَابَ(from the) punishmentٱلْجَحِيمِ(of) the Hellfire56
فَضْلًاA Bountyمِّنfromرَّبِّكَyour LordذَٰلِكَThat هُوَitٱلْفَوْزُ(will be) the successٱلْعَظِيمُthe great57
فَإِنَّمَاIndeedيَسَّرْنَٰهُWe have made it easyبِلِسَانِكَin your tongueلَعَلَّهُمْso that they mayيَتَذَكَّرُونَtake heed58

تَنزِيلُ(The) revelationٱلْكِتَٰبِ(of) the Bookمِنَ(is) fromٱللَّهِAllahٱلْعَزِيزِthe All-Mightyٱلْحَكِيمِthe All-Wise2
إِنَّIndeedفِىinٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِthe heavensوَٱلْأَرْضِand the earthلَءَايَٰتٍsurely (are) Signsلِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَfor the believers3
وَفِىAnd inخَلْقِكُمْyour creationوَمَاand whatيَبُثُّHe dispersesمِنofدَآبَّةٍ(the) moving creaturesءَايَٰتٌ(are) Signsلِّقَوْمٍfor a peopleيُوقِنُونَwho are certain4
وَٱخْتِلَٰفِAnd (in the) alternationٱلَّيْلِ(of) the nightوَٱلنَّهَارِand the dayوَمَآand whatأَنزَلَAllah sends downٱللَّهُAllah sends downمِنَfromٱلسَّمَآءِthe skyمِنofرِّزْقٍ(the) provisionفَأَحْيَاand gives lifeبِهِtherebyٱلْأَرْضَ(to) the earthبَعْدَafterمَوْتِهَاits deathوَتَصْرِيفِand (in) directingٱلرِّيَٰحِ(the) windsءَايَٰتٌ(are) Signsلِّقَوْمٍfor a peopleيَعْقِلُونَwho reason5
تِلْكَTheseءَايَٰتُ(are the) Versesٱللَّهِ(of) AllahنَتْلُوهَاWe recite themعَلَيْكَto youبِٱلْحَقِّin truthفَبِأَىِّThen in whatحَدِيثٍۢstatementبَعْدَafterٱللَّهِAllahوَءَايَٰتِهِۦand His Versesيُؤْمِنُونَwill they believe6
يَسْمَعُWho hearsءَايَٰتِ(the) Versesٱللَّهِ(of) Allahتُتْلَىٰrecitedعَلَيْهِto himثُمَّthenيُصِرُّpersistsمُسْتَكْبِرًاarrogantlyكَأَنas ifلَّمْnotيَسْمَعْهَاhe heard themفَبَشِّرْهُSo give him tidingsبِعَذَابٍ(of) a punishmentأَلِيمٍpainful8
وَإِذَاAnd whenعَلِمَhe knowsمِنْofءَايَٰتِنَاOur Versesشَيْـًٔاanythingٱتَّخَذَهَاhe takes themهُزُوًا(in) ridiculeأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَThose لَهُمْfor themعَذَابٌ(is) a punishmentمُّهِينٌhumiliating9
مِّنBefore themوَرَآئِهِمْBefore themجَهَنَّمُ(is) Hellوَلَاand notيُغْنِىwill availعَنْهُمthemمَّاwhatكَسَبُوا۟they had earnedشَيْـًٔاanythingوَلَاand notمَاwhatٱتَّخَذُوا۟they had takenمِنbesidesدُونِbesidesٱللَّهِAllahأَوْلِيَآءَ(as) protectorsوَلَهُمْAnd for themعَذَابٌ(is) a punishmentعَظِيمٌgreat10
هَٰذَاThisهُدًى(is) guidanceوَٱلَّذِينَAnd those whoكَفَرُوا۟disbelieveبِـَٔايَٰتِin (the) Versesرَبِّهِمْ(of) their Lordلَهُمْfor themعَذَابٌ(is) a punishmentمِّنofرِّجْزٍfilthأَلِيمٌpainful11
ٱللَّهُAllahٱلَّذِى(is) the One Whoسَخَّرَsubjectedلَكُمُto youٱلْبَحْرَthe seaلِتَجْرِىَthat may sailٱلْفُلْكُthe shipsفِيهِthereinبِأَمْرِهِۦby His Commandوَلِتَبْتَغُوا۟and that you may seekمِنofفَضْلِهِۦHis Bountyوَلَعَلَّكُمْand that you mayتَشْكُرُونَgive thanks12
وَسَخَّرَAnd He has subjectedلَكُمto youمَّاwhateverفِى(is) inٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِthe heavensوَمَاand whateverفِى(is) inٱلْأَرْضِthe earth جَمِيعًاallمِّنْهُfrom HimإِنَّIndeedفِىinذَٰلِكَthatلَءَايَٰتٍsurely are Signsلِّقَوْمٍfor a peopleيَتَفَكَّرُونَwho give thought13
قُلSayلِّلَّذِينَto those whoءَامَنُوا۟believeيَغْفِرُوا۟(to) forgiveلِلَّذِينَthose whoلَا(do) notيَرْجُونَhopeأَيَّامَ(for the) daysٱللَّهِ(of) Allahلِيَجْزِىَthat He may recompenseقَوْمًۢاa peopleبِمَاfor whatكَانُوا۟they used toيَكْسِبُونَearn14
مَنْWhoeverعَمِلَdoesصَٰلِحًاa righteous deedفَلِنَفْسِهِۦthen it is for his soulوَمَنْand whoeverأَسَآءَdoes evilفَعَلَيْهَاthen it (is) against itثُمَّThenإِلَىٰtoرَبِّكُمْyour Lordتُرْجَعُونَyou will be returned15
وَلَقَدْAnd certainlyءَاتَيْنَاWe gaveبَنِىٓ(the) Children of Israelإِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ(the) Children of Israelٱلْكِتَٰبَthe Bookوَٱلْحُكْمَand the wisdomوَٱلنُّبُوَّةَand the Prophethoodوَرَزَقْنَٰهُمand We provided themمِّنَofٱلطَّيِّبَٰتِthe good thingsوَفَضَّلْنَٰهُمْand We preferred themعَلَىoverٱلْعَٰلَمِينَthe worlds16
وَءَاتَيْنَٰهُمAnd We gave themبَيِّنَٰتٍclear proofsمِّنَofٱلْأَمْرِthe matterفَمَاAnd notٱخْتَلَفُوٓا۟they differedإِلَّاexceptمِنۢafterبَعْدِafterمَا[what]جَآءَهُمُcame to themٱلْعِلْمُthe knowledgeبَغْيًۢا(out of) envyبَيْنَهُمْbetween themselvesإِنَّIndeedرَبَّكَyour Lordيَقْضِىwill judgeبَيْنَهُمْbetween themيَوْمَ(on the) Dayٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ(of) the Resurrectionفِيمَاabout whatكَانُوا۟they used toفِيهِthereinيَخْتَلِفُونَdiffer17
ثُمَّThenجَعَلْنَٰكَWe put youعَلَىٰonشَرِيعَةٍan ordained wayمِّنَofٱلْأَمْرِthe matterفَٱتَّبِعْهَاso follow itوَلَاand (do) notتَتَّبِعْfollowأَهْوَآءَ(the) desiresٱلَّذِينَ(of) those whoلَا(do) notيَعْلَمُونَknow18
إِنَّهُمْIndeed, theyلَنneverيُغْنُوا۟will availعَنكَyouمِنَagainstٱللَّهِAllahشَيْـًٔا(in) anythingوَإِنَّAnd indeedٱلظَّٰلِمِينَthe wrongdoersبَعْضُهُمْsome of themأَوْلِيَآءُ(are) alliesبَعْضٍ(of) othersوَٱللَّهُand Allahوَلِىُّ(is the) Protectorٱلْمُتَّقِينَ(of) the righteous19
هَٰذَاThisبَصَٰٓئِرُ(is) enlightenmentلِلنَّاسِfor mankindوَهُدًىand guidanceوَرَحْمَةٌand mercyلِّقَوْمٍfor a peopleيُوقِنُونَwho are certain20
أَمْDoحَسِبَthinkٱلَّذِينَthose whoٱجْتَرَحُوا۟commitٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِevil deedsأَنthatنَّجْعَلَهُمْWe will make themكَٱلَّذِينَlike those whoءَامَنُوا۟believedوَعَمِلُوا۟and didٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِrighteous deedsسَوَآءًequalمَّحْيَاهُمْ(in) their lifeوَمَمَاتُهُمْand their deathسَآءَEvil isمَاwhatيَحْكُمُونَthey judge21
وَخَلَقَAnd Allah createdٱللَّهُAnd Allah createdٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِthe heavensوَٱلْأَرْضَand the earthبِٱلْحَقِّin truthوَلِتُجْزَىٰand that may be recompensedكُلُّeveryنَفْسٍۢsoulبِمَاfor whatكَسَبَتْit has earnedوَهُمْand theyلَاwill not be wrongedيُظْلَمُونَwill not be wronged22
أَفَرَءَيْتَHave you seenمَنِ(he) whoٱتَّخَذَtakesإِلَٰهَهُۥ(as) his godهَوَىٰهُhis desireوَأَضَلَّهُand Allah lets him go astrayٱللَّهُand Allah lets him go astrayعَلَىٰknowinglyعِلْمٍknowinglyوَخَتَمَand He sets a sealعَلَىٰuponسَمْعِهِۦhis hearingوَقَلْبِهِۦand his heartوَجَعَلَand putsعَلَىٰoverبَصَرِهِۦhis visionغِشَٰوَةًa veilفَمَنThen whoيَهْدِيهِwill guide himمِنۢafterبَعْدِafterٱللَّهِAllahأَفَلَاThen will notتَذَكَّرُونَyou receive admonition23
وَقَالُوا۟And they sayمَاNotهِىَitإِلَّا(is) butحَيَاتُنَاour lifeٱلدُّنْيَا(of) the worldنَمُوتُwe dieوَنَحْيَاand we liveوَمَاand notيُهْلِكُنَآdestroys usإِلَّاexceptٱلدَّهْرُthe timeوَمَاAnd notلَهُمfor themبِذَٰلِكَof thatمِنْanyعِلْمٍknowledgeإِنْnotهُمْtheyإِلَّا(do) butيَظُنُّونَguess24
وَإِذَاAnd whenتُتْلَىٰare recitedعَلَيْهِمْto themءَايَٰتُنَاOur Versesبَيِّنَٰتٍclearمَّاnotكَانَisحُجَّتَهُمْtheir argumentإِلَّآexceptأَنthatقَالُوا۟they sayٱئْتُوا۟Bringبِـَٔابَآئِنَآour forefathersإِنifكُنتُمْyou areصَٰدِقِينَtruthful25
قُلِSayٱللَّهُAllahيُحْيِيكُمْgives you lifeثُمَّthenيُمِيتُكُمْcauses you to dieثُمَّthenيَجْمَعُكُمْHe will gather youإِلَىٰtoيَوْمِ(the) Dayٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ(of) the Resurrectionلَاnoرَيْبَdoubtفِيهِabout itوَلَٰكِنَّButأَكْثَرَmostٱلنَّاسِ(of) the peopleلَا(do) notيَعْلَمُونَknow26
وَلِلَّهِAnd for Allahمُلْكُ(is the) dominionٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ(of) the heavensوَٱلْأَرْضِand the earthوَيَوْمَand (the) Dayتَقُومُis establishedٱلسَّاعَةُthe Hourيَوْمَئِذٍthat Dayيَخْسَرُwill loseٱلْمُبْطِلُونَthe falsifiers27
وَتَرَىٰAnd you will seeكُلَّeveryأُمَّةٍnationجَاثِيَةًkneelingكُلُّEveryأُمَّةٍnationتُدْعَىٰٓwill be calledإِلَىٰtoكِتَٰبِهَاits recordٱلْيَوْمَTodayتُجْزَوْنَyou will be recompensedمَا(for) whatكُنتُمْyou used toتَعْمَلُونَdo28
هَٰذَاThisكِتَٰبُنَاOur Recordيَنطِقُspeaksعَلَيْكُمabout youبِٱلْحَقِّin truthإِنَّاIndeed, Weكُنَّا[We] used toنَسْتَنسِخُtranscribeمَاwhatكُنتُمْyou used toتَعْمَلُونَdo29
فَأَمَّاThen as forٱلَّذِينَthose whoءَامَنُوا۟believedوَعَمِلُوا۟and didٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ[the] righteous deedsفَيُدْخِلُهُمْwill admit themرَبُّهُمْtheir Lordفِىin(to)رَحْمَتِهِۦHis mercyذَٰلِكَThatهُوَ[it]ٱلْفَوْزُ(is) the successٱلْمُبِينُclear30
وَأَمَّاBut as forٱلَّذِينَthose whoكَفَرُوٓا۟disbelievedأَفَلَمْThen were notتَكُنْThen were notءَايَٰتِىMy Versesتُتْلَىٰrecitedعَلَيْكُمْto youفَٱسْتَكْبَرْتُمْbut you were proudوَكُنتُمْand you becameقَوْمًاa peopleمُّجْرِمِينَcriminals31
وَإِذَاAnd whenقِيلَit was saidإِنَّIndeedوَعْدَ(the) Promiseٱللَّهِ(of) Allahحَقٌّ(is) trueوَٱلسَّاعَةُand the Hour لَا(there is) noرَيْبَdoubtفِيهَاabout itقُلْتُمyou saidمَّاNotنَدْرِىwe knowمَاwhatٱلسَّاعَةُthe Hour (is)إِنNotنَّظُنُّwe thinkإِلَّاexceptظَنًّاan assumptionوَمَاand notنَحْنُweبِمُسْتَيْقِنِينَ(are) convinced32
وَبَدَاAnd (will) appearلَهُمْto themسَيِّـَٔاتُ(the) evilمَا(of) whatعَمِلُوا۟they didوَحَاقَand (will) envelopبِهِمthemمَّاwhatكَانُوا۟they usedبِهِۦ[at it]يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ(to) mock33
وَقِيلَAnd it will be saidٱلْيَوْمَTodayنَنسَىٰكُمْWe forget youكَمَاasنَسِيتُمْyou forgotلِقَآءَ(the) meetingيَوْمِكُمْ(of) this Day of yoursهَٰذَا(of) this Day of yoursوَمَأْوَىٰكُمُand your abodeٱلنَّارُ(is) the Fireوَمَاand notلَكُمfor youمِّنanyنَّٰصِرِينَhelpers34
ذَٰلِكُمThatبِأَنَّكُمُ(is) because youٱتَّخَذْتُمْtookءَايَٰتِ(the) Versesٱللَّهِ(of) Allahهُزُوًا(in) ridiculeوَغَرَّتْكُمُand deceived youٱلْحَيَوٰةُthe lifeٱلدُّنْيَا(of) the worldفَٱلْيَوْمَSo this Dayلَاnotيُخْرَجُونَthey will be brought forthمِنْهَاfrom itوَلَاand notهُمْtheyيُسْتَعْتَبُونَwill be asked to appease35
فَلِلَّهِThen for Allahٱلْحَمْدُ(is) all the praiseرَبِّ(the) Lordٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ(of) the heavensوَرَبِّand (the) Lordٱلْأَرْضِ(of) the earthرَبِّ(the) lordٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ(of) the worlds36
وَلَهُAnd for Himٱلْكِبْرِيَآءُ(is) the greatnessفِىinٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِthe heavensوَٱلْأَرْضِand the earthوَهُوَand Heٱلْعَزِيزُ(is) the All-Mightyٱلْحَكِيمُthe All-Wise37
