فَمَنْThen whoأَظْلَمُ(is) more unjustمِمَّنthan (one) whoكَذَبَliesعَلَىagainstٱللَّهِAllahوَكَذَّبَand deniesبِٱلصِّدْقِthe truthإِذْwhenجَآءَهُۥٓit comes to himأَلَيْسَIs (there) notفِىinجَهَنَّمَHellمَثْوًىan abodeلِّلْكَٰفِرِينَfor the disbelievers32
وَٱلَّذِىAnd the one whoجَآءَbroughtبِٱلصِّدْقِthe truthوَصَدَّقَand believedبِهِۦٓin itأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَthoseهُمُ[they]ٱلْمُتَّقُونَ(are) the righteous33
لَهُمFor themمَّا(is) whatيَشَآءُونَthey wishعِندَwithرَبِّهِمْtheir LordذَٰلِكَThatجَزَآءُ(is the) rewardٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ(of) the good-doers34
لِيُكَفِّرَThat Allah will removeٱللَّهُThat Allah will removeعَنْهُمْfrom themأَسْوَأَ(the) worstٱلَّذِى(of) whatعَمِلُوا۟they didوَيَجْزِيَهُمْand reward themأَجْرَهُمtheir dueبِأَحْسَنِfor (the) bestٱلَّذِى(of) whatكَانُوا۟they used toيَعْمَلُونَdo35
أَلَيْسَIs notٱللَّهُAllahبِكَافٍsufficientعَبْدَهُۥ(for) His slaveوَيُخَوِّفُونَكَAnd they threaten youبِٱلَّذِينَwith thoseمِنbesides Himدُونِهِۦbesides HimوَمَنAnd whoeverيُضْلِلِAllah lets go astray ٱللَّهُAllah lets go astray فَمَاthen notلَهُۥfor himمِنْanyهَادٍguide36
وَمَنAnd whoeverيَهْدِAllah guidesٱللَّهُAllah guidesفَمَاthen notلَهُۥfor himمِنanyمُّضِلٍّmisleaderأَلَيْسَIs notٱللَّهُAllahبِعَزِيزٍAll-MightyذِىAll-Able of retributionٱنتِقَامٍAll-Able of retribution37
وَلَئِنAnd ifسَأَلْتَهُمyou ask themمَّنْwhoخَلَقَcreatedٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِthe heavensوَٱلْأَرْضَand the earthلَيَقُولُنَّSurely, they will sayٱللَّهُAllahقُلْSayأَفَرَءَيْتُمThen do you seeمَّاwhatتَدْعُونَyou invokeمِنbesidesدُونِbesidesٱللَّهِAllahإِنْifأَرَادَنِىَAllah intended for meٱللَّهُAllah intended for meبِضُرٍّharmهَلْareهُنَّtheyكَٰشِفَٰتُremoversضُرِّهِۦٓ(of) harm (from) Himأَوْorأَرَادَنِىif He intended for meبِرَحْمَةٍmercyهَلْareهُنَّtheyمُمْسِكَٰتُwithholdersرَحْمَتِهِۦ(of) His mercyقُلْSayحَسْبِىَSufficient (is) Allah for meٱللَّهُSufficient (is) Allah for meعَلَيْهِupon Himيَتَوَكَّلُput trustٱلْمُتَوَكِّلُونَthose who trust38
قُلْSayيَٰقَوْمِO my peopleٱعْمَلُوا۟Workعَلَىٰ(according) toمَكَانَتِكُمْyour positionإِنِّىindeed, I amعَٰمِلٌworkingفَسَوْفَthen soonتَعْلَمُونَyou will know39
مَن(Upon) whomيَأْتِيهِwill comeعَذَابٌa punishmentيُخْزِيهِdisgracing himوَيَحِلُّand descendsعَلَيْهِon himعَذَابٌa punishmentمُّقِيمٌeverlasting40
إِنَّآIndeed WeأَنزَلْنَاWe revealedعَلَيْكَto youٱلْكِتَٰبَthe Bookلِلنَّاسِfor [the] mankindبِٱلْحَقِّin truthفَمَنِSo whoeverٱهْتَدَىٰaccepts guidanceفَلِنَفْسِهِۦthen (it is) for his soulوَمَنand whoeverضَلَّgoes astrayفَإِنَّمَاthen onlyيَضِلُّhe straysعَلَيْهَاagainst his (soul)وَمَآAnd notأَنتَyouعَلَيْهِم(are) over themبِوَكِيلٍa manager41
ٱللَّهُAllahيَتَوَفَّىtakesٱلْأَنفُسَthe soulsحِينَ(at the) timeمَوْتِهَا(of) their deathوَٱلَّتِىand the one whoلَمْ(does) notتَمُتْdieفِىinمَنَامِهَاtheir sleepفَيُمْسِكُThen He keepsٱلَّتِىthe one whomقَضَىٰHe has decreedعَلَيْهَاfor themٱلْمَوْتَthe deathوَيُرْسِلُand sendsٱلْأُخْرَىٰٓthe othersإِلَىٰٓforأَجَلٍa termمُّسَمًّىspecifiedإِنَّIndeedفِىinذَٰلِكَthatلَءَايَٰتٍsurely (are) signsلِّقَوْمٍfor a peopleيَتَفَكَّرُونَwho ponder42
أَمِOrٱتَّخَذُوا۟have they takenمِنbesidesدُونِbesidesٱللَّهِAllahشُفَعَآءَintercessorsقُلْSayأَوَلَوْEven thoughكَانُوا۟they wereلَاnotيَمْلِكُونَpossessingشَيْـًٔاanythingوَلَاand notيَعْقِلُونَthey understand43
قُلSayلِّلَّهِTo Allah (belongs)ٱلشَّفَٰعَةُthe intercessionجَمِيعًاallلَّهُۥFor Himمُلْكُ(is the) dominionٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ(of) the heavensوَٱلْأَرْضِand the earthثُمَّThenإِلَيْهِto Himتُرْجَعُونَyou will be returned44
وَإِذَاAnd whenذُكِرَAllah is mentionedٱللَّهُAllah is mentionedوَحْدَهُAloneٱشْمَأَزَّتْshrink with aversionقُلُوبُ(the) heartsٱلَّذِينَ(of) those whoلَا(do) notيُؤْمِنُونَbelieveبِٱلْءَاخِرَةِin the Hereafterوَإِذَاand whenذُكِرَare mentionedٱلَّذِينَthoseمِنbesides Himدُونِهِۦٓbesides HimإِذَاbeholdهُمْTheyيَسْتَبْشِرُونَrejoice45
قُلِSayٱللَّهُمَّO AllahفَاطِرَCreatorٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ(of) the heavensوَٱلْأَرْضِand the earthعَٰلِمَKnowerٱلْغَيْبِ(of) the unseenوَٱلشَّهَٰدَةِand the witnessedأَنتَYouتَحْكُمُwill judgeبَيْنَbetweenعِبَادِكَYour slavesفِىinمَاwhatكَانُوا۟they used toفِيهِthereinيَخْتَلِفُونَdiffer46
وَلَوْAnd ifأَنَّAnd ifلِلَّذِينَthose whoظَلَمُوا۟did wrongمَا(had) whateverفِى(is) inٱلْأَرْضِthe earthجَمِيعًاallوَمِثْلَهُۥand (the) like of itمَعَهُۥwith itلَٱفْتَدَوْا۟they would ransomبِهِۦwith itمِنfromسُوٓءِ(the) evilٱلْعَذَابِ(of) the punishmentيَوْمَ(on the) Dayٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ(of) the ResurrectionوَبَدَاAnd (will) appearلَهُمto themمِّنَfromٱللَّهِAllahمَاwhatلَمْnotيَكُونُوا۟they hadيَحْتَسِبُونَtaken into account47
وَبَدَاAnd will become apparentلَهُمْto themسَيِّـَٔاتُ(the) evilsمَا(of) whatكَسَبُوا۟they earnedوَحَاقَand will surroundبِهِمthemمَّاwhatكَانُوا۟they used toبِهِۦ[in it]يَسْتَهْزِءُونَmock48
فَإِذَاSo whenمَسَّtouchesٱلْإِنسَٰنَ[the] manضُرٌّadversityدَعَانَاhe calls upon UsثُمَّthenإِذَاwhenخَوَّلْنَٰهُWe bestow (on) himنِعْمَةًa favorمِّنَّاfrom Usقَالَhe saysإِنَّمَآOnlyأُوتِيتُهُۥI have been given itعَلَىٰforعِلْمٍۢknowledgeبَلْNayهِىَitفِتْنَةٌ(is) a trialوَلَٰكِنَّbutأَكْثَرَهُمْmost of themلَا(do) notيَعْلَمُونَknow49
قَدْIndeedقَالَهَاsaid itٱلَّذِينَthoseمِنbefore themقَبْلِهِمْbefore themفَمَآbut (did) notأَغْنَىٰavailعَنْهُمthemمَّاwhatكَانُوا۟they used toيَكْسِبُونَearn50
فَأَصَابَهُمْThen struck themسَيِّـَٔاتُ(the) evilsمَا(of) whatكَسَبُوا۟they earnedوَٱلَّذِينَAnd those whoظَلَمُوا۟have wrongedمِنْofهَٰٓؤُلَآءِtheseسَيُصِيبُهُمْwill strike themسَيِّـَٔاتُ(the) evilsمَا(of) whatكَسَبُوا۟they earnedوَمَاand notهُمtheyبِمُعْجِزِينَwill be able to escape51
أَوَلَمْDo notيَعْلَمُوٓا۟they knowأَنَّthatٱللَّهَAllahيَبْسُطُextendsٱلرِّزْقَthe provisionلِمَنfor whomيَشَآءُHe willsوَيَقْدِرُand restrictsإِنَّIndeedفِىinذَٰلِكَthatلَءَايَٰتٍsurely (are) signsلِّقَوْمٍfor a peopleيُؤْمِنُونَwho believe52
قُلْSayيَٰعِبَادِىَO My slavesٱلَّذِينَThose whoأَسْرَفُوا۟have transgressedعَلَىٰٓagainstأَنفُسِهِمْthemselvesلَا(do) notتَقْنَطُوا۟despairمِنofرَّحْمَةِ(the) Mercyٱللَّهِ(of) AllahإِنَّIndeedٱللَّهَAllahيَغْفِرُforgivesٱلذُّنُوبَthe sinsجَمِيعًاallإِنَّهُۥIndeed HeهُوَHeٱلْغَفُورُ(is) the Oft-Forgivingٱلرَّحِيمُthe Most Merciful53
وَأَنِيبُوٓا۟And turnإِلَىٰtoرَبِّكُمْyour Lordوَأَسْلِمُوا۟and submitلَهُۥto Himمِنbeforeقَبْلِbeforeأَن[that]يَأْتِيَكُمُcomes to youٱلْعَذَابُthe punishmentثُمَّthenلَاnotتُنصَرُونَyou will be helped54
وَٱتَّبِعُوٓا۟And followأَحْسَنَ(the) bestمَآ(of) whatأُنزِلَis revealedإِلَيْكُمto youمِّنfromرَّبِّكُمyour Lordمِّنbeforeقَبْلِbeforeأَن[that]يَأْتِيَكُمُcomes to youٱلْعَذَابُthe punishmentبَغْتَةًsuddenlyوَأَنتُمْwhile youلَا(do) notتَشْعُرُونَperceive55
أَنLestتَقُولَshould sayنَفْسٌa soulيَٰحَسْرَتَىٰOh! My regretعَلَىٰoverمَاwhatفَرَّطتُI neglectedفِىinجَنۢبِregard (to)ٱللَّهِAllahوَإِنand thatكُنتُI wasلَمِنَsurely, amongٱلسَّٰخِرِينَthe mockers56
أَوْOrتَقُولَit should sayلَوْIf thatأَنَّIf thatٱللَّهَAllahهَدَىٰنِى(had) guided meلَكُنتُsurely, I (would) have beenمِنَamongٱلْمُتَّقِينَthe righteous57
أَوْOrتَقُولَit should sayحِينَwhenتَرَىit seesٱلْعَذَابَthe punishmentلَوْIfأَنَّonlyلِىfor meكَرَّةًanother chanceفَأَكُونَthen I could beمِنَamongٱلْمُحْسِنِينَthe good-doers58
بَلَىٰYesقَدْverilyجَآءَتْكَcame to youءَايَٰتِىMy Versesفَكَذَّبْتَbut you deniedبِهَاthemوَٱسْتَكْبَرْتَand were arrogantوَكُنتَand you wereمِنَamongٱلْكَٰفِرِينَthe disbelievers59
وَيَوْمَAnd (on the) Dayٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ(of) the Resurrectionتَرَىyou will seeٱلَّذِينَthose whoكَذَبُوا۟liedعَلَىaboutٱللَّهِAllahوُجُوهُهُمtheir facesمُّسْوَدَّةٌ(will be) blackenedأَلَيْسَIs (there) notفِىinجَهَنَّمَHellمَثْوًىan abodeلِّلْمُتَكَبِّرِينَfor the arrogant60
وَيُنَجِّىAnd Allah will deliverٱللَّهُAnd Allah will deliverٱلَّذِينَthose whoٱتَّقَوْا۟feared (Him)بِمَفَازَتِهِمْto their place of salvationلَاnotيَمَسُّهُمُwill touch themٱلسُّوٓءُthe evilوَلَاand notهُمْtheyيَحْزَنُونَwill grieve61
ٱللَّهُAllahخَٰلِقُ(is the) Creatorكُلِّ(of) allشَىْءٍthingsوَهُوَand Heعَلَىٰ(is) overكُلِّallشَىْءٍthingsوَكِيلٌa Guardian62
لَّهُۥFor Himمَقَالِيدُ(are the) keysٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ(of) the heavensوَٱلْأَرْضِand the earthوَٱلَّذِينَAnd those whoكَفَرُوا۟disbelieveبِـَٔايَٰتِin (the) Versesٱللَّهِ(of) Allahأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَthose هُمُtheyٱلْخَٰسِرُونَ(are) the losers63
قُلْSayأَفَغَيْرَIs (it) other thanٱللَّهِAllahتَأْمُرُوٓنِّىٓyou order meأَعْبُدُ(to) worshipأَيُّهَاOٱلْجَٰهِلُونَignorant ones64
وَلَقَدْAnd verilyأُوحِىَit has been revealedإِلَيْكَto youوَإِلَىand toٱلَّذِينَthose whoمِن(were) before youقَبْلِكَ(were) before youلَئِنْifأَشْرَكْتَyou associate (with Allah)لَيَحْبَطَنَّsurely, will become worthlessعَمَلُكَyour deedsوَلَتَكُونَنَّand you will surely beمِنَamongٱلْخَٰسِرِينَthe losers65
بَلِNayٱللَّهَBut worship AllahفَٱعْبُدْBut worship Allahوَكُنand beمِّنَamongٱلشَّٰكِرِينَthe thankful ones66
وَمَاAnd notقَدَرُوا۟they appraisedٱللَّهَAllahحَقَّ(with) trueقَدْرِهِۦappraisalوَٱلْأَرْضُwhile the earthجَمِيعًاentirelyقَبْضَتُهُۥ(will be) in His Gripيَوْمَ(on the) Dayٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ(of) the Resurrectionوَٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتُand the heavensمَطْوِيَّٰتٌۢ(will be) foldedبِيَمِينِهِۦin His Right HandسُبْحَٰنَهُۥGlory be to HimوَتَعَٰلَىٰAnd High is Heعَمَّاabove whatيُشْرِكُونَthey associate (with Him)67
وَنُفِخَAnd (will) be blownفِى[in]ٱلصُّورِthe trumpetفَصَعِقَthen (will) fall deadمَنwhoeverفِى(is) inٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِthe heavensوَمَنand whoeverفِى(is) onٱلْأَرْضِthe earthإِلَّاexceptمَنwhomشَآءَAllah willsٱللَّهُAllah willsثُمَّThenنُفِخَ(it will) be blownفِيهِ[in it]أُخْرَىٰa second timeفَإِذَاand beholdهُمْTheyقِيَامٌ(will be) standingيَنظُرُونَwaiting68
وَأَشْرَقَتِAnd (will) shineٱلْأَرْضُthe earthبِنُورِwith (the) lightرَبِّهَا(of) its Lordوَوُضِعَand (will) be placedٱلْكِتَٰبُthe Recordوَجِا۟ىٓءَand (will) be broughtبِٱلنَّبِيِّۦنَthe Prophetsوَٱلشُّهَدَآءِand the witnessesوَقُضِىَand it (will) be judgedبَيْنَهُمbetween themبِٱلْحَقِّin truthوَهُمْand theyلَاwill not be wrongedيُظْلَمُونَwill not be wronged69
وَوُفِّيَتْAnd (will) be paid in fullكُلُّeveryنَفْسٍsoulمَّاwhatعَمِلَتْit didوَهُوَand Heأَعْلَمُ(is the) Best-Knowerبِمَاof whatيَفْعَلُونَthey do70
وَسِيقَAnd (will) be drivenٱلَّذِينَthose whoكَفَرُوٓا۟disbelieveإِلَىٰtoجَهَنَّمَHellزُمَرًا(in) groupsحَتَّىٰٓuntilإِذَاwhenجَآءُوهَاthey reach itفُتِحَتْ(will) be openedأَبْوَٰبُهَاits gatesوَقَالَand (will) sayلَهُمْto themخَزَنَتُهَآits keepersأَلَمْDid notيَأْتِكُمْcome to youرُسُلٌMessengersمِّنكُمْfrom youيَتْلُونَrecitingعَلَيْكُمْto youءَايَٰتِ(the) Versesرَبِّكُمْ(of) your Lordوَيُنذِرُونَكُمْand warning youلِقَآءَ(of the) meetingيَوْمِكُمْ(of) your Dayهَٰذَاthisقَالُوا۟They (will) sayبَلَىٰYesوَلَٰكِنْButحَقَّتْhas been justifiedكَلِمَةُ(the) wordٱلْعَذَابِ(of) punishmentعَلَىagainstٱلْكَٰفِرِينَthe disbelievers71
قِيلَIt will be saidٱدْخُلُوٓا۟Enterأَبْوَٰبَ(the) gatesجَهَنَّمَ(of) Hellخَٰلِدِينَ(to) abide eternallyفِيهَاthereinفَبِئْسَand wretched isمَثْوَى(the) abodeٱلْمُتَكَبِّرِينَ(of) the arrogant72
وَسِيقَAnd (will) be drivenٱلَّذِينَthose whoٱتَّقَوْا۟fearedرَبَّهُمْtheir LordإِلَىtoٱلْجَنَّةِParadiseزُمَرًا(in) groupsحَتَّىٰٓuntilإِذَاwhenجَآءُوهَاthey reach itوَفُتِحَتْand (will) be openedأَبْوَٰبُهَاits gatesوَقَالَand (will) sayلَهُمْto themخَزَنَتُهَاits keepersسَلَٰمٌPeace beعَلَيْكُمْupon youطِبْتُمْyou have done wellفَٱدْخُلُوهَاso enter itخَٰلِدِينَ(to) abide eternally73
وَقَالُوا۟And they will sayٱلْحَمْدُAll praiseلِلَّهِ(be) to AllahٱلَّذِىWhoصَدَقَنَاhas fulfilled for usوَعْدَهُۥHis promiseوَأَوْرَثَنَاand has made us inheritٱلْأَرْضَthe earthنَتَبَوَّأُwe may settleمِنَ[from]ٱلْجَنَّةِ(in) Paradiseحَيْثُwhereverنَشَآءُwe wishفَنِعْمَSo excellentأَجْرُ(is the) rewardٱلْعَٰمِلِينَ(of) the workers74
وَتَرَىAnd you will seeٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةَthe Angelsحَآفِّينَsurroundingمِنْ[from]حَوْلِaroundٱلْعَرْشِthe Throneيُسَبِّحُونَglorifyingبِحَمْدِ(the) praiseرَبِّهِمْ(of) their LordوَقُضِىَAnd (will) be judgedبَيْنَهُمbetween themبِٱلْحَقِّin truthوَقِيلَand it will be saidٱلْحَمْدُAll praise beلِلَّهِto Allahرَبِّ(the) Lordٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ(of) the worlds75

مَاNotيُجَٰدِلُdisputeفِىٓconcerningءَايَٰتِ(the) Versesٱللَّهِ(of) Allahإِلَّاexceptٱلَّذِينَthose whoكَفَرُوا۟disbelieveفَلَاso (let) notيَغْرُرْكَdeceive youتَقَلُّبُهُمْtheir movementفِىinٱلْبِلَٰدِthe cities4
كَذَّبَتْDeniedقَبْلَهُمْbefore themقَوْمُ(the) peopleنُوحٍ(of) Nuhوَٱلْأَحْزَابُand the factionsمِنۢafter themبَعْدِهِمْafter themوَهَمَّتْand plottedكُلُّeveryأُمَّةٍۢnationبِرَسُولِهِمْagainst their Messengerلِيَأْخُذُوهُto seize himوَجَٰدَلُوا۟and they disputedبِٱلْبَٰطِلِby falsehoodلِيُدْحِضُوا۟to refuteبِهِtherebyٱلْحَقَّthe truthفَأَخَذْتُهُمْSo I seized themفَكَيْفَThen howكَانَwasعِقَابِMy penalty5
وَكَذَٰلِكَAnd thusحَقَّتْhas been justifiedكَلِمَتُ(the) Wordرَبِّكَ(of) your Lordعَلَىagainstٱلَّذِينَthose whoكَفَرُوٓا۟disbelievedأَنَّهُمْthat theyأَصْحَٰبُ(are) companionsٱلنَّارِ(of) the Fire6
ٱلَّذِينَThose whoيَحْمِلُونَbearٱلْعَرْشَthe Throneوَمَنْand whoحَوْلَهُۥ(are) around itيُسَبِّحُونَglorifyبِحَمْدِ(the) praisesرَبِّهِمْ(of) their Lordوَيُؤْمِنُونَand believeبِهِۦin Himوَيَسْتَغْفِرُونَand ask forgivenessلِلَّذِينَfor those whoءَامَنُوا۟believeرَبَّنَاOur LordوَسِعْتَYou encompassكُلَّallشَىْءٍthingsرَّحْمَةً(by Your) Mercyوَعِلْمًاand knowledgeفَٱغْفِرْso forgiveلِلَّذِينَthose whoتَابُوا۟repentوَٱتَّبَعُوا۟and followسَبِيلَكَYour Wayوَقِهِمْand save them (from)عَذَابَ(the) punishmentٱلْجَحِيمِ(of) the Hellfire7
رَبَّنَاOur LordوَأَدْخِلْهُمْAnd admit themجَنَّٰتِ(to) Gardensعَدْنٍ(of) EdenٱلَّتِىwhichوَعَدتَّهُمْYou have promised themوَمَنand whoeverصَلَحَ(was) righteousمِنْamongءَابَآئِهِمْtheir fathersوَأَزْوَٰجِهِمْand their spousesوَذُرِّيَّٰتِهِمْand their offspringإِنَّكَIndeed YouأَنتَYouٱلْعَزِيزُ(are) the All-Mightyٱلْحَكِيمُthe All-Wise8
وَقِهِمُAnd protect themٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ(from) the evilsوَمَنAnd whoeverتَقِyou protectٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ(from) the evilsيَوْمَئِذٍthat Dayفَقَدْthen verilyرَحِمْتَهُۥYou have bestowed mercy on himوَذَٰلِكَAnd thatهُوَ[it]ٱلْفَوْزُ(is) the successٱلْعَظِيمُthe great9
إِنَّIndeedٱلَّذِينَthose whoكَفَرُوا۟disbelievedيُنَادَوْنَwill be cried out to themلَمَقْتُCertainly Allah's hatredٱللَّهِCertainly Allah's hatredأَكْبَرُ(was) greaterمِنthanمَّقْتِكُمْyour hatredأَنفُسَكُمْ(of) yourselvesإِذْwhenتُدْعَوْنَyou were calledإِلَىtoٱلْإِيمَٰنِthe faithفَتَكْفُرُونَand you disbelieved10
قَالُوا۟They (will) sayرَبَّنَآOur LordأَمَتَّنَاYou gave us deathٱثْنَتَيْنِtwiceوَأَحْيَيْتَنَاand You gave us lifeٱثْنَتَيْنِtwiceفَٱعْتَرَفْنَاand we confessبِذُنُوبِنَاour sinsفَهَلْSo is (there)إِلَىٰtoخُرُوجٍget outمِّنanyسَبِيلٍway11
ذَٰلِكُمThatبِأَنَّهُۥٓ(is) becauseإِذَاwhenدُعِىَAllah was invokedٱللَّهُAllah was invokedوَحْدَهُۥAloneكَفَرْتُمْyou disbelievedوَإِنbut ifيُشْرَكْ(others) were associatedبِهِۦwith Himتُؤْمِنُوا۟you believedفَٱلْحُكْمُSo the judgmentلِلَّهِ(is) with Allahٱلْعَلِىِّthe Most Highٱلْكَبِيرِthe Most Great12
هُوَHeٱلَّذِى(is) the One Whoيُرِيكُمْshows youءَايَٰتِهِۦHis Signsوَيُنَزِّلُand sends downلَكُمfor youمِّنَfromٱلسَّمَآءِthe skyرِزْقًاprovisionوَمَاBut (does) notيَتَذَكَّرُtake heedإِلَّاexceptمَن(one) whoيُنِيبُturns13
فَٱدْعُوا۟So invokeٱللَّهَAllahمُخْلِصِينَ(being) sincereلَهُto Himٱلدِّينَ(in) the religionوَلَوْeven thoughكَرِهَdislike (it)ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَthe disbelievers14
رَفِيعُPossessor of the Highest RanksٱلدَّرَجَٰتِPossessor of the Highest RanksذُوOwner (of) the ThroneٱلْعَرْشِOwner (of) the ThroneيُلْقِىHe placesٱلرُّوحَthe inspirationمِنْofأَمْرِهِۦHis CommandعَلَىٰuponمَنwhomيَشَآءُHe willsمِنْofعِبَادِهِۦHis slavesلِيُنذِرَto warnيَوْمَ(of the) Dayٱلتَّلَاقِ(of) the Meeting15
يَوْمَ(The) Dayهُمtheyبَٰرِزُونَcome forthلَاnotيَخْفَىٰis hiddenعَلَىfromٱللَّهِAllahمِنْهُمْabout themشَىْءٌanythingلِّمَنِFor whomٱلْمُلْكُ(is) the Dominionٱلْيَوْمَthis DayلِلَّهِFor Allahٱلْوَٰحِدِthe Oneٱلْقَهَّارِthe Irresistible16
ٱلْيَوْمَThis Dayتُجْزَىٰwill be recompensedكُلُّeveryنَفْسٍۢsoulبِمَاfor whatكَسَبَتْit earnedلَاNoظُلْمَinjusticeٱلْيَوْمَtodayإِنَّIndeedٱللَّهَAllahسَرِيعُ(is) Swiftٱلْحِسَابِ(in) Account17
وَأَنذِرْهُمْAnd warn themيَوْمَ(of the) Dayٱلْءَازِفَةِthe Approachingإِذِwhenٱلْقُلُوبُthe heartsلَدَى(are) atٱلْحَنَاجِرِthe throatsكَٰظِمِينَchokedمَاNotلِلظَّٰلِمِينَfor the wrongdoersمِنْanyحَمِيمٍintimate friendوَلَاand noشَفِيعٍintercessorيُطَاعُ(who) is obeyed18
يَعْلَمُHe knowsخَآئِنَةَ(the) stealthy glanceٱلْأَعْيُنِ(the) stealthy glanceوَمَاand whatتُخْفِىconcealٱلصُّدُورُthe breasts19
وَٱللَّهُAnd Allahيَقْضِىjudgesبِٱلْحَقِّin truthوَٱلَّذِينَwhile those (whom)يَدْعُونَthey invokeمِنbesides Himدُونِهِۦbesides Himلَاnotيَقْضُونَthey judgeبِشَىْءٍwith anythingإِنَّIndeedٱللَّهَAllah هُوَHeٱلسَّمِيعُ(is) the All-Hearerٱلْبَصِيرُthe All-Seer20
أَوَلَمْDo notيَسِيرُوا۟they travelفِىinٱلْأَرْضِthe earthفَيَنظُرُوا۟and seeكَيْفَhowكَانَwasعَٰقِبَةُ(the) endٱلَّذِينَ(of) those whoكَانُوا۟wereمِنbefore themقَبْلِهِمْbefore themكَانُوا۟They wereهُمْ[they]أَشَدَّsuperiorمِنْهُمْto themقُوَّةً(in) strengthوَءَاثَارًاand (in) impressionsفِىinٱلْأَرْضِthe landفَأَخَذَهُمُbut Allah seized themٱللَّهُbut Allah seized themبِذُنُوبِهِمْfor their sinsوَمَاand notكَانَwasلَهُمfor themمِّنَagainstٱللَّهِAllahمِنanyوَاقٍprotector21
ذَٰلِكَThatبِأَنَّهُمْ(was) because [they]كَانَتused to come to themتَّأْتِيهِمْused to come to themرُسُلُهُمtheir Messengersبِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِwith clear proofsفَكَفَرُوا۟but they disbelievedفَأَخَذَهُمُSo Allah seized themٱللَّهُSo Allah seized themإِنَّهُۥIndeed, Heقَوِىٌّ(is) All-Strongشَدِيدُsevereٱلْعِقَابِ(in) punishment22
وَلَقَدْAnd certainlyأَرْسَلْنَاWe sentمُوسَىٰMusaبِـَٔايَٰتِنَاwith Our Signsوَسُلْطَٰنٍand an authorityمُّبِينٍclear23
إِلَىٰToفِرْعَوْنَFiraunوَهَٰمَٰنَHamanوَقَٰرُونَand Qarunفَقَالُوا۟but they saidسَٰحِرٌA magicianكَذَّابٌa liar24
فَلَمَّاThen whenجَآءَهُمhe brought to themبِٱلْحَقِّthe truthمِنْfromعِندِنَاUsقَالُوا۟they saidٱقْتُلُوٓا۟Killأَبْنَآءَ(the) sonsٱلَّذِينَ(of) those whoءَامَنُوا۟believeمَعَهُۥwith himوَٱسْتَحْيُوا۟and let liveنِسَآءَهُمْtheir womenوَمَاAnd notكَيْدُ(is the) plotٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ(of) the disbelieversإِلَّاbutفِىinضَلَٰلٍerror25
وَقَالَAnd saidفِرْعَوْنُFiraunذَرُونِىٓLeave meأَقْتُلْ(so that) I killمُوسَىٰMusaوَلْيَدْعُand let him callرَبَّهُۥٓhis LordإِنِّىٓIndeed, Iأَخَافُ[I] fearأَنthatيُبَدِّلَhe will changeدِينَكُمْyour religionأَوْorأَنthatيُظْهِرَhe may cause to appearفِىinٱلْأَرْضِthe landٱلْفَسَادَthe corruption26
وَقَالَAnd saidمُوسَىٰٓMusaإِنِّىIndeed, Iعُذْتُ[I] seek refugeبِرَبِّىin my Lordوَرَبِّكُمand your Lordمِّنfromكُلِّeveryمُتَكَبِّرٍarrogant oneلَّاnotيُؤْمِنُwho believesبِيَوْمِ(in the) Dayٱلْحِسَابِ(of) the Account27
وَقَالَAnd saidرَجُلٌa manمُّؤْمِنٌbelievingمِّنْfromءَالِ(the) familyفِرْعَوْنَ(of) Firaunيَكْتُمُwho conceal(ed)إِيمَٰنَهُۥٓhis faithأَتَقْتُلُونَWill you killرَجُلًاa manأَنbecauseيَقُولَhe saysرَبِّىَMy Lordٱللَّهُ(is) Allahوَقَدْand indeedجَآءَكُمhe has brought youبِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِclear proofsمِنfromرَّبِّكُمْyour LordوَإِنAnd ifيَكُhe isكَٰذِبًاa liarفَعَلَيْهِthen upon himكَذِبُهُۥ(is) his lieوَإِنand ifيَكُhe isصَادِقًاtruthfulيُصِبْكُم(there) will strike youبَعْضُsome (of)ٱلَّذِى(that) whichيَعِدُكُمْhe threatens youإِنَّIndeedٱللَّهَAllahلَا(does) notيَهْدِىguideمَنْ(one) whoهُوَ[he]مُسْرِفٌ(is) a transgressorكَذَّابٌa liar28
يَٰقَوْمِO my peopleلَكُمُFor youٱلْمُلْكُ(is) the kingdomٱلْيَوْمَtodayظَٰهِرِينَdominantفِىinٱلْأَرْضِthe landفَمَنbut whoيَنصُرُنَاwill help usمِنۢfromبَأْسِ(the) punishmentٱللَّهِ(of) Allahإِنifجَآءَنَاit came to usقَالَSaidفِرْعَوْنُFiraunمَآNotأُرِيكُمْI show youإِلَّاexceptمَآwhatأَرَىٰI seeوَمَآand notأَهْدِيكُمْI guide youإِلَّاexceptسَبِيلَ(to the) pathٱلرَّشَادِthe right29
وَقَالَAnd saidٱلَّذِىٓ(he) whoءَامَنَbelievedيَٰقَوْمِO my peopleإِنِّىٓIndeed Iأَخَافُ[I] fearعَلَيْكُمfor youمِّثْلَlikeيَوْمِ(the) dayٱلْأَحْزَابِ(of) the companies30
مِثْلَLikeدَأْبِ(the) plightقَوْمِ(of the) peopleنُوحٍ(of) Nuhوَعَادٍand Aadوَثَمُودَand Thamudوَٱلَّذِينَand thoseمِنۢafter themبَعْدِهِمْafter themوَمَاAnd Allah (does) notٱللَّهُAnd Allah (does) notيُرِيدُwantظُلْمًاinjusticeلِّلْعِبَادِfor (His) slaves31
وَيَٰقَوْمِAnd O my peopleإِنِّىٓIndeed, Iأَخَافُ[I] fearعَلَيْكُمْfor youيَوْمَ(the) Dayٱلتَّنَادِ(of) Calling32
يَوْمَA Dayتُوَلُّونَyou will turn backمُدْبِرِينَfleeingمَاnotلَكُمfor youمِّنَfromٱللَّهِAllahمِنْanyعَاصِمٍprotectorوَمَنAnd whoeverيُضْلِلِAllah lets go astrayٱللَّهُAllah lets go astrayفَمَاthen notلَهُۥfor himمِنْanyهَادٍguide33
وَلَقَدْAnd indeedجَآءَكُمْcame to youيُوسُفُYusufمِنbeforeقَبْلُbeforeبِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِwith clear proofsفَمَاbut notزِلْتُمْyou ceasedفِىinشَكٍّdoubtمِّمَّاabout whatجَآءَكُمhe brought to youبِهِۦ[with it]حَتَّىٰٓuntilإِذَاwhenهَلَكَhe diedقُلْتُمْyou saidلَنNeverيَبْعَثَwill Allah raiseٱللَّهُwill Allah raiseمِنۢafter himبَعْدِهِۦafter himرَسُولًاa MessengerكَذَٰلِكَThusيُضِلُّAllah lets go astrayٱللَّهُAllah lets go astrayمَنْwhoهُوَ[he]مُسْرِفٌ(is) a transgressorمُّرْتَابٌa doubter34
ٱلَّذِينَThose whoيُجَٰدِلُونَdisputeفِىٓconcerningءَايَٰتِ(the) Signsٱللَّهِ(of) Allahبِغَيْرِwithoutسُلْطَٰنٍany authorityأَتَىٰهُمْ(having) come to themكَبُرَ(it) is greatlyمَقْتًاhatefulعِندَnear Allahٱللَّهِnear Allahوَعِندَand nearٱلَّذِينَthoseءَامَنُوا۟who believeكَذَٰلِكَThusيَطْبَعُAllah sets a sealٱللَّهُAllah sets a sealعَلَىٰoverكُلِّeveryقَلْبِheartمُتَكَبِّرٍ(of) an arrogantجَبَّارٍtyrant35
وَقَالَAnd saidفِرْعَوْنُFiraunيَٰهَٰمَٰنُO HamanٱبْنِConstructلِىfor meصَرْحًاa towerلَّعَلِّىٓthat I mayأَبْلُغُreachٱلْأَسْبَٰبَthe ways36
أَسْبَٰبَ(The) waysٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ(to) the heavensفَأَطَّلِعَso I may lookإِلَىٰٓatإِلَٰهِ(the) Godمُوسَىٰ(of) Musaوَإِنِّىand indeed, Iلَأَظُنُّهُۥ[I] surely think himكَٰذِبًا(to be) a liarوَكَذَٰلِكَAnd thusزُيِّنَwas made fair-seemingلِفِرْعَوْنَto Firaunسُوٓءُ(the) evilعَمَلِهِۦ(of) his deedوَصُدَّand he was avertedعَنِfromٱلسَّبِيلِthe wayوَمَاAnd notكَيْدُ(was the) plotفِرْعَوْنَ(of) Firaunإِلَّاexceptفِىinتَبَابٍruin37
وَقَالَAnd saidٱلَّذِىٓthe one whoءَامَنَbelievedيَٰقَوْمِO my peopleٱتَّبِعُونِFollow meأَهْدِكُمْI will guide youسَبِيلَ(to the) wayٱلرَّشَادِthe right38
يَٰقَوْمِO my peopleإِنَّمَاOnlyهَٰذِهِthisٱلْحَيَوٰةُthe lifeٱلدُّنْيَا(of) the worldمَتَٰعٌ(is) enjoymentوَإِنَّand indeedٱلْءَاخِرَةَthe Hereafter هِىَitدَارُ(is the) homeٱلْقَرَارِ(of) settlement39
مَنْWhoeverعَمِلَdoesسَيِّئَةًan evilفَلَاthen notيُجْزَىٰٓhe will be recompensedإِلَّاbutمِثْلَهَا(the) like thereofوَمَنْand whoeverعَمِلَdoesصَٰلِحًاrighteous (deeds)مِّنofذَكَرٍmaleأَوْorأُنثَىٰfemaleوَهُوَwhile heمُؤْمِنٌ(is) a believerفَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَthen thoseيَدْخُلُونَwill enterٱلْجَنَّةَParadiseيُرْزَقُونَthey will be given provisionفِيهَاin itبِغَيْرِwithoutحِسَابٍaccount40
وَيَٰقَوْمِAnd O my peopleمَاWhat (is)لِىٓfor meأَدْعُوكُمْ(that) I call youإِلَىtoٱلنَّجَوٰةِthe salvationوَتَدْعُونَنِىٓwhile you call meإِلَىtoٱلنَّارِthe Fire41
تَدْعُونَنِىYou call meلِأَكْفُرَthat I disbelieveبِٱللَّهِin Allahوَأُشْرِكَand (to) associateبِهِۦwith Himمَاwhatلَيْسَnotلِىfor meبِهِۦof itعِلْمٌany knowledgeوَأَنَاand Iأَدْعُوكُمْcall youإِلَىtoٱلْعَزِيزِthe All-Mightyٱلْغَفَّٰرِthe Oft-Forgiving42
لَاNoجَرَمَdoubtأَنَّمَاthat whatتَدْعُونَنِىٓyou call meإِلَيْهِto itلَيْسَnotلَهُۥfor itدَعْوَةٌa claimفِىinٱلدُّنْيَاthe worldوَلَاand notفِىinٱلْءَاخِرَةِthe Hereafterوَأَنَّand thatمَرَدَّنَآour returnإِلَى(is) toٱللَّهِAllahوَأَنَّand thatٱلْمُسْرِفِينَthe transgressors هُمْtheyأَصْحَٰبُ(will be the) companionsٱلنَّارِ(of) the Fire43
فَسَتَذْكُرُونَAnd you will rememberمَآwhatأَقُولُI sayلَكُمْto youوَأُفَوِّضُand I entrustأَمْرِىٓmy affairإِلَىtoٱللَّهِAllahإِنَّIndeedٱللَّهَAllahبَصِيرٌۢ(is) All-Seerبِٱلْعِبَادِof (His) slaves44
فَوَقَىٰهُSo Allah protected himٱللَّهُSo Allah protected himسَيِّـَٔاتِ(from the) evilsمَاthatمَكَرُوا۟they plottedوَحَاقَand envelopedبِـَٔالِ(the) peopleفِرْعَوْنَ(of) Firaunسُوٓءُ(the) worstٱلْعَذَابِpunishment45
ٱلنَّارُThe Fireيُعْرَضُونَthey are exposedعَلَيْهَاto itغُدُوًّاmorningوَعَشِيًّاand eveningوَيَوْمَAnd (the) Dayتَقُومُ(will be) establishedٱلسَّاعَةُthe Hourأَدْخِلُوٓا۟Cause to enterءَالَ(the) peopleفِرْعَوْنَ(of) Firaunأَشَدَّ(in the) severestٱلْعَذَابِpunishment46
وَإِذْAnd whenيَتَحَآجُّونَthey will disputeفِىinٱلنَّارِthe Fireفَيَقُولُthen will sayٱلضُّعَفَٰٓؤُا۟the weakلِلَّذِينَto those whoٱسْتَكْبَرُوٓا۟were arrogantإِنَّاIndeed, weكُنَّا[we] wereلَكُمْfor youتَبَعًاfollowersفَهَلْso canأَنتُمyouمُّغْنُونَavertعَنَّاfrom usنَصِيبًاa portionمِّنَofٱلنَّارِthe Fire47
قَالَWill sayٱلَّذِينَthose whoٱسْتَكْبَرُوٓا۟(were) arrogantإِنَّاIndeed, weكُلٌّallفِيهَآ(are) in itإِنَّIndeedٱللَّهَAllahقَدْcertainlyحَكَمَhas judgedبَيْنَbetweenٱلْعِبَادِ(His) slaves48
وَقَالَAnd will sayٱلَّذِينَthoseفِىinٱلنَّارِthe Fireلِخَزَنَةِto (the) keepersجَهَنَّمَ(of) Hellٱدْعُوا۟Callرَبَّكُمْyour Lordيُخَفِّفْ(to) lightenعَنَّاfor usيَوْمًاa dayمِّنَofٱلْعَذَابِthe punishment49
قَالُوٓا۟They (will) sayأَوَلَمْDid there notتَكُDid there notتَأْتِيكُمْcome to youرُسُلُكُمyour Messengersبِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِwith clear proofsقَالُوا۟They (will) sayبَلَىٰYesقَالُوا۟They (will) sayفَٱدْعُوا۟Then callوَمَاbut notدُعَٰٓؤُا۟(is the) callٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ(of) the disbelieversإِلَّاexceptفِىinضَلَٰلٍerror50
إِنَّاIndeed WeلَنَنصُرُWe will surely helpرُسُلَنَاOur Messengersوَٱلَّذِينَand those whoءَامَنُوا۟believeفِىinٱلْحَيَوٰةِthe lifeٱلدُّنْيَا(of) the worldوَيَوْمَand (on the) Dayيَقُومُ(when) will standٱلْأَشْهَٰدُthe witnesses51
يَوْمَ(The) Dayلَاnotيَنفَعُwill benefitٱلظَّٰلِمِينَthe wrongdoersمَعْذِرَتُهُمْtheir excuseوَلَهُمُand for themٱللَّعْنَةُ(is) the curseوَلَهُمْand for themسُوٓءُ(is the) worstٱلدَّارِhome52
وَلَقَدْAnd certainlyءَاتَيْنَاWe gaveمُوسَىMusaٱلْهُدَىٰthe guidanceوَأَوْرَثْنَاand We caused to inheritبَنِىٓ(the) Children of Israelإِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ(the) Children of Israelٱلْكِتَٰبَthe Book53
فَٱصْبِرْSo be patientإِنَّindeedوَعْدَ(the) Promise of Allahٱللَّهِ(the) Promise of Allahحَقٌّ(is) trueوَٱسْتَغْفِرْAnd ask forgivenessلِذَنۢبِكَfor your sinوَسَبِّحْand glorifyبِحَمْدِ(the) praiseرَبِّكَ(of) your Lordبِٱلْعَشِىِّin the eveningوَٱلْإِبْكَٰرِand the morning55
إِنَّIndeedٱلَّذِينَthose whoيُجَٰدِلُونَdisputeفِىٓconcerningءَايَٰتِ(the) Signsٱللَّهِ(of) Allahبِغَيْرِwithoutسُلْطَٰنٍany authorityأَتَىٰهُمْ(which) came to themإِنnotفِى(is) inصُدُورِهِمْtheir breastsإِلَّاbutكِبْرٌgreatnessمَّاnotهُمtheyبِبَٰلِغِيهِ(can) reach itفَٱسْتَعِذْSo seek refugeبِٱللَّهِin AllahإِنَّهُۥIndeed HeهُوَHeٱلسَّمِيعُ(is) the All-Hearerٱلْبَصِيرُthe All-Seer56
لَخَلْقُSurely, (the) creationٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ(of) the heavensوَٱلْأَرْضِand the earthأَكْبَرُ(is) greaterمِنْthanخَلْقِ(the) creationٱلنَّاسِ(of) the mankindوَلَٰكِنَّbutأَكْثَرَmostٱلنَّاسِ(of) the peopleلَا(do) notيَعْلَمُونَknow57
وَمَاAnd notيَسْتَوِى(are) equalٱلْأَعْمَىٰthe blindوَٱلْبَصِيرُand the seeingوَٱلَّذِينَand those whoءَامَنُوا۟believeوَعَمِلُوا۟and doٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِrighteous deedsوَلَاand notٱلْمُسِىٓءُthe evildoerقَلِيلًاLittleمَّا(is) whatتَتَذَكَّرُونَyou take heed58
إِنَّIndeedٱلسَّاعَةَthe Hourلَءَاتِيَةٌ(is) surely comingلَّاnoرَيْبَdoubtفِيهَاin itوَلَٰكِنَّbutأَكْثَرَmostٱلنَّاسِ(of) the peopleلَا(do) notيُؤْمِنُونَbelieve59
وَقَالَAnd saidرَبُّكُمُyour LordٱدْعُونِىٓCall upon MeأَسْتَجِبْI will respondلَكُمْto youإِنَّIndeedٱلَّذِينَthose whoيَسْتَكْبِرُونَ(are) proudعَنْtoعِبَادَتِىworship Meسَيَدْخُلُونَwill enterجَهَنَّمَHellدَاخِرِينَ(in) humiliation60
ٱللَّهُAllahٱلَّذِى(is) the One Whoجَعَلَmadeلَكُمُfor youٱلَّيْلَthe nightلِتَسْكُنُوا۟that you may restفِيهِin itوَٱلنَّهَارَand the dayمُبْصِرًاgiving visibilityإِنَّIndeedٱللَّهَAllahلَذُو(is) Full (of) Bountyفَضْلٍ(is) Full (of) Bountyعَلَىtoٱلنَّاسِthe peopleوَلَٰكِنَّbutأَكْثَرَmostٱلنَّاسِ(of) the peopleلَا(do) notيَشْكُرُونَgive thanks61
ذَٰلِكُمُThatٱللَّهُ(is) Allahرَبُّكُمْyour Lordخَٰلِقُ(the) Creatorكُلِّ(of) allشَىْءٍthingsلَّآ(there is) noإِلَٰهَgodإِلَّاexceptهُوَHimفَأَنَّىٰSo howتُؤْفَكُونَare you deluded62
كَذَٰلِكَThusيُؤْفَكُwere deludedٱلَّذِينَthose whoكَانُوا۟were بِـَٔايَٰتِ(the) Signsٱللَّهِ(of) Allahيَجْحَدُونَrejecting63
ٱللَّهُAllahٱلَّذِى(is) the One Whoجَعَلَmadeلَكُمُfor youٱلْأَرْضَthe earthقَرَارًاa place of settlementوَٱلسَّمَآءَand the skyبِنَآءًa canopyوَصَوَّرَكُمْand He formed youفَأَحْسَنَand perfectedصُوَرَكُمْyour formsوَرَزَقَكُمand provided youمِّنَofٱلطَّيِّبَٰتِthe good thingsذَٰلِكُمُThatٱللَّهُ(is) Allahرَبُّكُمْyour LordفَتَبَارَكَThen blessed (is)ٱللَّهُAllahرَبُّ(the) Lordٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ(of) the worlds64
هُوَHeٱلْحَىُّ(is) the Ever-Livingلَآ(there is) noإِلَٰهَgodإِلَّاbutهُوَHeفَٱدْعُوهُso call Himمُخْلِصِينَ(being) sincereلَهُto Himٱلدِّينَ(in) the religionٱلْحَمْدُAll praise (be)لِلَّهِto Allahرَبِّ(the) Lordٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ(of) the worlds65
قُلْSayإِنِّىIndeed, Iنُهِيتُ[I] have been forbiddenأَنْtoأَعْبُدَworshipٱلَّذِينَthose whomتَدْعُونَyou callمِنbesidesدُونِbesidesٱللَّهِAllahلَمَّاwhenجَآءَنِىَhave come to meٱلْبَيِّنَٰتُthe clear proofsمِنfromرَّبِّىmy Lordوَأُمِرْتُand I am commandedأَنْtoأُسْلِمَsubmitلِرَبِّto (the) Lordٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ(of) the worlds66
هُوَHeٱلَّذِى(is) the One Whoخَلَقَكُمcreated youمِّنfromتُرَابٍdustثُمَّthenمِنfromنُّطْفَةٍa semen-dropثُمَّthenمِنْfromعَلَقَةٍa clinging substanceثُمَّthenيُخْرِجُكُمْHe brings you outطِفْلًا(as) a childثُمَّthenلِتَبْلُغُوٓا۟lets you reachأَشُدَّكُمْyour maturityثُمَّthenلِتَكُونُوا۟lets you becomeشُيُوخًاold وَمِنكُمand among youمَّن(is he) whoيُتَوَفَّىٰdiesمِنbefore قَبْلُbefore وَلِتَبْلُغُوٓا۟and lets you reachأَجَلًاa termمُّسَمًّىspecifiedوَلَعَلَّكُمْand that you mayتَعْقِلُونَuse reason67
هُوَHeٱلَّذِى(is) the One Whoيُحْىِۦgives lifeوَيُمِيتُand causes deathفَإِذَاAnd whenقَضَىٰٓHe decreesأَمْرًاa matterفَإِنَّمَاthen onlyيَقُولُHe saysلَهُۥto itكُنBeفَيَكُونُand it is68
أَلَمْDo notتَرَyou seeإِلَى[to]ٱلَّذِينَthose whoيُجَٰدِلُونَdisputeفِىٓconcerningءَايَٰتِ(the) Signsٱللَّهِ(of) AllahأَنَّىٰHowيُصْرَفُونَthey are turned away69
ٱلَّذِينَThose whoكَذَّبُوا۟denyبِٱلْكِتَٰبِthe Bookوَبِمَآand with whatأَرْسَلْنَاWe sentبِهِۦwith itرُسُلَنَاOur Messengersفَسَوْفَbut soonيَعْلَمُونَthey will know70
إِذِWhenٱلْأَغْلَٰلُthe iron collarsفِىٓ(will be) aroundأَعْنَٰقِهِمْtheir necksوَٱلسَّلَٰسِلُand the chainsيُسْحَبُونَthey will be dragged71
ثُمَّThenقِيلَit will be saidلَهُمْto themأَيْنَWhereمَا(is) that whichكُنتُمْyou used toتُشْرِكُونَassociate73
مِنOther thanدُونِOther thanٱللَّهِAllahقَالُوا۟They will sayضَلُّوا۟They have departedعَنَّاfrom usبَلNayلَّمْNotنَكُنwe used toنَّدْعُوا۟[we] callمِنbeforeقَبْلُbeforeشَيْـًٔاanythingكَذَٰلِكَThusيُضِلُّAllah lets go astrayٱللَّهُAllah lets go astrayٱلْكَٰفِرِينَthe disbelievers74
ذَٰلِكُمThat wasبِمَاbecauseكُنتُمْyou used toتَفْرَحُونَrejoiceفِىinٱلْأَرْضِthe earthبِغَيْرِwithoutٱلْحَقِّrightوَبِمَاand becauseكُنتُمْyou used toتَمْرَحُونَbe insolent75
ٱدْخُلُوٓا۟Enterأَبْوَٰبَ(the) gatesجَهَنَّمَ(of) Hellخَٰلِدِينَ(to) abide foreverفِيهَاin itفَبِئْسَand wretched isمَثْوَى(the) abodeٱلْمُتَكَبِّرِينَ(of) the arrogant76
فَٱصْبِرْSo be patientإِنَّindeedوَعْدَ(the) Promiseٱللَّهِ(of) Allahحَقٌّ(is) trueفَإِمَّاAnd whetherنُرِيَنَّكَWe show youبَعْضَsomeٱلَّذِى(of) whatنَعِدُهُمْWe have promised themأَوْorنَتَوَفَّيَنَّكَWe cause you to dieفَإِلَيْنَاthen to Usيُرْجَعُونَthey will be returned77
وَلَقَدْAnd certainlyأَرْسَلْنَاWe have sentرُسُلًاMessengersمِّنbefore youقَبْلِكَbefore youمِنْهُمAmong themمَّن(are) who قَصَصْنَاWe have relatedعَلَيْكَto youوَمِنْهُمand among themمَّن(are) who لَّمْnotنَقْصُصْWe have relatedعَلَيْكَto youوَمَاAnd notكَانَisلِرَسُولٍfor any Messengerأَنthatيَأْتِىَhe bringsبِـَٔايَةٍa Signإِلَّاexceptبِإِذْنِby (the) permissionٱللَّهِ(of) AllahفَإِذَاSo whenجَآءَcomesأَمْرُ(the) Commandٱللَّهِ(of) Allahقُضِىَit will be decidedبِٱلْحَقِّin truthوَخَسِرَand will loseهُنَالِكَthereٱلْمُبْطِلُونَthe falsifiers78
ٱللَّهُAllahٱلَّذِى(is) the One Whoجَعَلَmadeلَكُمُfor youٱلْأَنْعَٰمَthe cattleلِتَرْكَبُوا۟that you may rideمِنْهَاsome of themوَمِنْهَاand some of themتَأْكُلُونَyou eat79
وَلَكُمْAnd for youفِيهَاin themمَنَٰفِعُ(are) benefitsوَلِتَبْلُغُوا۟and that you may reachعَلَيْهَاthrough themحَاجَةًa needفِى(that is) inصُدُورِكُمْyour breastsوَعَلَيْهَاand upon themوَعَلَىand uponٱلْفُلْكِthe shipsتُحْمَلُونَyou are carried80
وَيُرِيكُمْAnd He shows youءَايَٰتِهِۦHis SignsفَأَىَّThen whichءَايَٰتِ(of the) Signsٱللَّهِ(of) Allahتُنكِرُونَwill you deny81
أَفَلَمْDo they notيَسِيرُوا۟travelفِىthroughٱلْأَرْضِthe landفَيَنظُرُوا۟and seeكَيْفَhowكَانَwasعَٰقِبَةُ(the) endٱلَّذِينَ(of) those whoمِن(were) before themقَبْلِهِمْ(were) before themكَانُوٓا۟They wereأَكْثَرَmore numerousمِنْهُمْthan themوَأَشَدَّand mightierقُوَّةً(in) strengthوَءَاثَارًاand impressionsفِىinٱلْأَرْضِthe landفَمَآbut notأَغْنَىٰavailedعَنْهُمthemمَّاwhatكَانُوا۟they used toيَكْسِبُونَearn82
فَلَمَّاThen whenجَآءَتْهُمْcame to themرُسُلُهُمtheir Messengersبِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِwith clear proofsفَرِحُوا۟they rejoicedبِمَاin whatعِندَهُمthey hadمِّنَofٱلْعِلْمِthe knowledgeوَحَاقَand envelopedبِهِمthemمَّاwhatكَانُوا۟they used toبِهِۦ[at it]يَسْتَهْزِءُونَmock83
فَلَمَّاSo whenرَأَوْا۟they sawبَأْسَنَاOur punishmentقَالُوٓا۟they saidءَامَنَّاWe believeبِٱللَّهِin AllahوَحْدَهُۥAloneوَكَفَرْنَاand we disbelieveبِمَاin whatكُنَّاwe used toبِهِۦwith Himمُشْرِكِينَassociate84
فَلَمْBut did notيَكُBut did notيَنفَعُهُمْbenefit themإِيمَٰنُهُمْtheir faithلَمَّاwhenرَأَوْا۟they sawبَأْسَنَاOur punishmentسُنَّتَ(Such is the) Wayٱللَّهِ(of) Allahٱلَّتِىwhichقَدْ(has) indeedخَلَتْprecededفِىamongعِبَادِهِۦHis slavesوَخَسِرَAnd are lostهُنَالِكَthereٱلْكَٰفِرُونَthe disbelievers85

كِتَٰبٌA Bookفُصِّلَتْare detailedءَايَٰتُهُۥits Versesقُرْءَانًاa Quranعَرَبِيًّا(in) Arabicلِّقَوْمٍfor a peopleيَعْلَمُونَ(who) know3
بَشِيرًاA giver of glad tidingsوَنَذِيرًاand a warnerفَأَعْرَضَbut turn awayأَكْثَرُهُمْmost of themفَهُمْso theyلَا(do) notيَسْمَعُونَhear4
وَقَالُوا۟And they sayقُلُوبُنَاOur heartsفِىٓ(are) inأَكِنَّةٍcoveringsمِّمَّاfrom whatتَدْعُونَآyou call usإِلَيْهِto itوَفِىٓand inءَاذَانِنَاour earsوَقْرٌ(is) deafnessوَمِنۢand between usبَيْنِنَاand between usوَبَيْنِكَand between youحِجَابٌ(is) a screenفَٱعْمَلْSo workإِنَّنَاindeed, weعَٰمِلُونَ(are) working5
قُلْSayإِنَّمَآOnlyأَنَاI amبَشَرٌa manمِّثْلُكُمْlike youيُوحَىٰٓit is revealedإِلَىَّto meأَنَّمَآthatإِلَٰهُكُمْyour godإِلَٰهٌ(is) GodوَٰحِدٌOneفَٱسْتَقِيمُوٓا۟so take a Straight Pathإِلَيْهِto Himوَٱسْتَغْفِرُوهُand ask His forgivenessوَوَيْلٌAnd woeلِّلْمُشْرِكِينَto the polytheists6
ٱلَّذِينَThose whoلَا(do) notيُؤْتُونَgiveٱلزَّكَوٰةَthe zakahوَهُمand theyبِٱلْءَاخِرَةِin the Hereafterهُمْtheyكَٰفِرُونَ(are) disbelievers7
إِنَّIndeedٱلَّذِينَthose whoءَامَنُوا۟believeوَعَمِلُوا۟and doٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِrighteous deedsلَهُمْfor themأَجْرٌ(is) a rewardغَيْرُnever endingمَمْنُونٍnever ending8
قُلْSayأَئِنَّكُمْDo you indeedلَتَكْفُرُونَ[surely] disbelieveبِٱلَّذِىin the One Whoخَلَقَcreatedٱلْأَرْضَthe earthفِىinيَوْمَيْنِtwo periodsوَتَجْعَلُونَand you set upلَهُۥٓwith HimأَندَادًاrivalsذَٰلِكَThatرَبُّ(is the) Lordٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ(of) the worlds9
وَجَعَلَAnd He placedفِيهَاthereinرَوَٰسِىَfirmly-set mountainsمِنabove itفَوْقِهَاabove itوَبَٰرَكَand He blessedفِيهَاthereinوَقَدَّرَand determinedفِيهَآthereinأَقْوَٰتَهَاits sustenanceفِىٓinأَرْبَعَةِfourأَيَّامٍperiodsسَوَآءًequalلِّلسَّآئِلِينَfor those who ask10
ثُمَّThenٱسْتَوَىٰٓHe directed (Himself)إِلَىtowardsٱلسَّمَآءِthe heavenوَهِىَwhile it (was)دُخَانٌsmokeفَقَالَand He saidلَهَاto itوَلِلْأَرْضِand to the earthٱئْتِيَاCome both of youطَوْعًاwillinglyأَوْorكَرْهًاunwillinglyقَالَتَآThey both saidأَتَيْنَاWe comeطَآئِعِينَwillingly11
فَقَضَىٰهُنَّThen He completed themسَبْعَ(as) sevenسَمَٰوَاتٍheavensفِىinيَوْمَيْنِtwo periodsوَأَوْحَىٰand He revealedفِىinكُلِّeachسَمَآءٍheavenأَمْرَهَاits affairوَزَيَّنَّاAnd We adornedٱلسَّمَآءَthe heavenٱلدُّنْيَا[the world]بِمَصَٰبِيحَwith lampsوَحِفْظًاand (to) guardذَٰلِكَThatتَقْدِيرُ(is the) Decreeٱلْعَزِيزِ(of) the All-Mightyٱلْعَلِيمِthe All-Knower12
فَإِنْBut ifأَعْرَضُوا۟they turn awayفَقُلْthen sayأَنذَرْتُكُمْI have warned youصَٰعِقَةً(of) a thunderboltمِّثْلَlikeصَٰعِقَةِ(the) thunderboltعَادٍ(of) Aadوَثَمُودَand Thamud13
إِذْWhenجَآءَتْهُمُcame to themٱلرُّسُلُthe Messengersمِنۢfrom before themبَيْنِfrom before themأَيْدِيهِمْfrom before themوَمِنْand fromخَلْفِهِمْbehind themأَلَّا(saying) "Do notتَعْبُدُوٓا۟worshipإِلَّاexceptٱللَّهَAllahقَالُوا۟They saidلَوْIfشَآءَ(had) willedرَبُّنَاour Lordلَأَنزَلَsurely, He (would have) sent downمَلَٰٓئِكَةًAngelsفَإِنَّاSo indeed, weبِمَآin whatأُرْسِلْتُمyou have been sentبِهِۦwithكَٰفِرُونَ(are) disbelievers14
فَأَمَّاThen as forعَادٌAadفَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟they were arrogantفِىinٱلْأَرْضِthe landبِغَيْرِwithoutٱلْحَقِّ[the] rightوَقَالُوا۟and they saidمَنْWhoأَشَدُّ(is) mightierمِنَّاthan usقُوَّةً(in) strengthأَوَلَمْDo notيَرَوْا۟they seeأَنَّthatٱللَّهَAllahٱلَّذِىthe One Whoخَلَقَهُمْcreated themهُوَHeأَشَدُّ(is) Mightierمِنْهُمْthan themقُوَّةً(in) strengthوَكَانُوا۟But they used toبِـَٔايَٰتِنَاin Our Signsيَجْحَدُونَdeny15
فَأَرْسَلْنَاSo We sentعَلَيْهِمْupon themرِيحًاa windصَرْصَرًاfuriousفِىٓinأَيَّامٍ(the) daysنَّحِسَاتٍ(of) misfortuneلِّنُذِيقَهُمْthat We may make them tasteعَذَابَ(the) punishmentٱلْخِزْىِ(of) disgraceفِىinٱلْحَيَوٰةِthe lifeٱلدُّنْيَا(of) the worldوَلَعَذَابُAnd surely, (the) punishmentٱلْءَاخِرَةِ(of) the Hereafterأَخْزَىٰ(is) more disgracingوَهُمْand theyلَاwill not be helpedيُنصَرُونَwill not be helped16
وَأَمَّاAnd as forثَمُودُThamudفَهَدَيْنَٰهُمْWe guided themفَٱسْتَحَبُّوا۟but they preferredٱلْعَمَىٰ[the] blindnessعَلَىoverٱلْهُدَىٰthe guidanceفَأَخَذَتْهُمْso seized themصَٰعِقَةُa thunderboltٱلْعَذَابِ(of) the punishmentٱلْهُونِhumiliatingبِمَاfor whatكَانُوا۟they used toيَكْسِبُونَearn17
وَنَجَّيْنَاAnd We savedٱلَّذِينَthose whoءَامَنُوا۟believedوَكَانُوا۟and used toيَتَّقُونَfear (Allah)18
وَيَوْمَAnd (the) Dayيُحْشَرُwill be gatheredأَعْدَآءُ(the) enemiesٱللَّهِ(of) Allahإِلَىtoٱلنَّارِthe Fireفَهُمْthen theyيُوزَعُونَwill be assembled in rows19
حَتَّىٰٓUntilإِذَاwhenمَاwhenجَآءُوهَاthey come to itشَهِدَ(will) testifyعَلَيْهِمْagainst themسَمْعُهُمْtheir hearingوَأَبْصَٰرُهُمْand their sightوَجُلُودُهُمand their skinsبِمَا(as) to whatكَانُوا۟they used toيَعْمَلُونَdo20
وَقَالُوا۟And they will sayلِجُلُودِهِمْto their skinsلِمَWhy doشَهِدتُّمْyou testifyعَلَيْنَاagainst usقَالُوٓا۟They will sayأَنطَقَنَاAllah made us speakٱللَّهُAllah made us speakٱلَّذِىٓthe One Whoأَنطَقَmakes speakكُلَّeveryشَىْءٍthingوَهُوَand Heخَلَقَكُمْcreated youأَوَّلَ(the) firstمَرَّةٍtimeوَإِلَيْهِand to Himتُرْجَعُونَyou will be returned21
وَمَاAnd notكُنتُمْyou wereتَسْتَتِرُونَcovering yourselvesأَنlestيَشْهَدَtestifyعَلَيْكُمْagainst youسَمْعُكُمْyour hearingوَلَآand notأَبْصَٰرُكُمْyour sightوَلَاand notجُلُودُكُمْyour skinsوَلَٰكِنbutظَنَنتُمْyou assumedأَنَّthatٱللَّهَAllahلَا(does) notيَعْلَمُknowكَثِيرًاmuchمِّمَّاof whatتَعْمَلُونَyou do22
وَذَٰلِكُمْAnd thatظَنُّكُمُ(was) your assumptionٱلَّذِىwhichظَنَنتُمyou assumedبِرَبِّكُمْabout your LordأَرْدَىٰكُمْIt has ruined youفَأَصْبَحْتُمand you have becomeمِّنَofٱلْخَٰسِرِينَthe losers23
فَإِنThen ifيَصْبِرُوا۟they endureفَٱلنَّارُthe Fireمَثْوًى(is) an abodeلَّهُمْfor themوَإِنand ifيَسْتَعْتِبُوا۟they ask for favorفَمَاthen notهُمtheyمِّنَ(will be) ofٱلْمُعْتَبِينَthose who receive favor24
وَقَيَّضْنَاAnd We have destinedلَهُمْfor themقُرَنَآءَcompanionsفَزَيَّنُوا۟(who) made fair-seemingلَهُمto themمَّاwhatبَيْنَ(was) before themأَيْدِيهِمْ(was) before themوَمَاand whatخَلْفَهُمْ(was) behind themوَحَقَّand (is) justifiedعَلَيْهِمُagainst themٱلْقَوْلُthe Wordفِىٓamongأُمَمٍnationsقَدْ(that have) passed awayخَلَتْ(that have) passed awayمِنbefore themقَبْلِهِمbefore themمِّنَofٱلْجِنِّthe jinnوَٱلْإِنسِand the menإِنَّهُمْIndeed, theyكَانُوا۟wereخَٰسِرِينَlosers25
وَقَالَAnd saidٱلَّذِينَthose whoكَفَرُوا۟disbelieveلَا(Do) notتَسْمَعُوا۟listenلِهَٰذَاto thisٱلْقُرْءَانِQuranوَٱلْغَوْا۟and make noiseفِيهِthereinلَعَلَّكُمْso that you mayتَغْلِبُونَovercome26
فَلَنُذِيقَنَّBut surely We will cause to tasteٱلَّذِينَthose whoكَفَرُوا۟disbelieveعَذَابًاa punishmentشَدِيدًاsevereوَلَنَجْزِيَنَّهُمْand surely We will recompense themأَسْوَأَ(the) worstٱلَّذِى(of) whatكَانُوا۟they used toيَعْمَلُونَdo27
ذَٰلِكَThatجَزَآءُ(is the) recompenseأَعْدَآءِ(of the) enemiesٱللَّهِ(of) Allah ٱلنَّارُthe Fireلَهُمْfor themفِيهَاthereinدَارُ(is the) homeٱلْخُلْدِ(of) the eternityجَزَآءًۢ(as) recompenseبِمَاfor whatكَانُوا۟they used toبِـَٔايَٰتِنَاof Our Versesيَجْحَدُونَreject28
وَقَالَAnd (will) sayٱلَّذِينَthose whoكَفَرُوا۟disbelieveرَبَّنَآOur LordأَرِنَاShow usٱلَّذَيْنِthose whoأَضَلَّانَاmisled usمِنَofٱلْجِنِّthe jinnوَٱلْإِنسِand the menنَجْعَلْهُمَا(so) we may put themتَحْتَunderأَقْدَامِنَاour feetلِيَكُونَاthat they beمِنَofٱلْأَسْفَلِينَthe lowest29
إِنَّIndeedٱلَّذِينَthose whoقَالُوا۟sayرَبُّنَاOur Lordٱللَّهُ(is) Allahثُمَّthenٱسْتَقَٰمُوا۟stand firm تَتَنَزَّلُwill descendعَلَيْهِمُon themٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُthe Angelsأَلَّا(Do) notتَخَافُوا۟fearوَلَاand (do) notتَحْزَنُوا۟grieveوَأَبْشِرُوا۟but receive the glad tidingsبِٱلْجَنَّةِof Paradiseٱلَّتِىwhichكُنتُمْyou wereتُوعَدُونَpromised30
نَحْنُWeأَوْلِيَآؤُكُمْ(are) your protectorsفِىinٱلْحَيَوٰةِthe lifeٱلدُّنْيَا(of) the worldوَفِىand inٱلْءَاخِرَةِthe HereafterوَلَكُمْAnd for youفِيهَاthereinمَاwhateverتَشْتَهِىٓdesireأَنفُسُكُمْyour soulsوَلَكُمْand for youفِيهَاthereinمَاwhatتَدَّعُونَyou ask31
وَمَنْAnd whoأَحْسَنُ(is) betterقَوْلًا(in) speechمِّمَّنthan (one) whoدَعَآinvitesإِلَىtoٱللَّهِAllahوَعَمِلَand doesصَٰلِحًاrighteous (deeds)وَقَالَand saysإِنَّنِىIndeed, I amمِنَofٱلْمُسْلِمِينَthose who submit33
وَلَاAnd notتَسْتَوِى(are) equalٱلْحَسَنَةُthe good (deed)وَلَاandٱلسَّيِّئَةُthe evil (deed)ٱدْفَعْRepelبِٱلَّتِىby (that) whichهِىَ[it]أَحْسَنُ(is) betterفَإِذَاthen beholdٱلَّذِىOne whoبَيْنَكَbetween youوَبَيْنَهُۥand between himعَدَٰوَةٌ(was) enmityكَأَنَّهُۥ(will become) as if heوَلِىٌّ(was) a friendحَمِيمٌintimate34
وَمَاAnd notيُلَقَّىٰهَآit is grantedإِلَّاexceptٱلَّذِينَ(to) those whoصَبَرُوا۟(are) patientوَمَاand notيُلَقَّىٰهَآit is grantedإِلَّاexceptذُو(to the) ownerحَظٍّ(of) fortuneعَظِيمٍgreat35
وَإِمَّاAnd ifيَنزَغَنَّكَwhisper comes to youمِنَfromٱلشَّيْطَٰنِthe Shaitaanنَزْغٌan evil suggestionفَٱسْتَعِذْthen seek refugeبِٱللَّهِin AllahإِنَّهُۥIndeed, Heهُوَ[He]ٱلسَّمِيعُ(is) the All-Hearerٱلْعَلِيمُthe All-Knower36
وَمِنْAnd ofءَايَٰتِهِHis Signsٱلَّيْلُ(are) the nightوَٱلنَّهَارُand the dayوَٱلشَّمْسُand the sunوَٱلْقَمَرُand the moonلَا(Do) notتَسْجُدُوا۟prostrateلِلشَّمْسِto the sunوَلَاand notلِلْقَمَرِto the moonوَٱسْجُدُوا۟but prostrateلِلَّهِto Allahٱلَّذِىthe One Whoخَلَقَهُنَّcreated themإِنifكُنتُمْyouإِيَّاهُHim aloneتَعْبُدُونَworship37
فَإِنِBut ifٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟they are arrogantفَٱلَّذِينَthen those whoعِندَ(are) nearرَبِّكَyour LordيُسَبِّحُونَglorifyلَهُۥHimبِٱلَّيْلِby nightوَٱلنَّهَارِand dayوَهُمْAnd theyلَا(do) notيَسْـَٔمُونَtire38
وَمِنْAnd amongءَايَٰتِهِۦٓHis Signsأَنَّكَ(is) that youتَرَىseeٱلْأَرْضَthe earthخَٰشِعَةًbarrenفَإِذَآbut whenأَنزَلْنَاWe send downعَلَيْهَاupon itٱلْمَآءَwaterٱهْتَزَّتْit is stirred (to life)وَرَبَتْand growsإِنَّIndeedٱلَّذِىٓthe One Whoأَحْيَاهَاgives it lifeلَمُحْىِ(is) surely the Giver of lifeٱلْمَوْتَىٰٓ(to) the deadإِنَّهُۥIndeed, Heعَلَىٰ(is) onكُلِّeveryشَىْءٍthingقَدِيرٌAll-Powerful39
إِنَّIndeedٱلَّذِينَthose whoيُلْحِدُونَdistortفِىٓ[in]ءَايَٰتِنَاOur Versesلَا(are) notيَخْفَوْنَhiddenعَلَيْنَآfrom UsأَفَمَنSo, is (he) whoيُلْقَىٰis castفِىinٱلنَّارِthe Fireخَيْرٌbetterأَمorمَّن(he) whoيَأْتِىٓcomesءَامِنًاsecureيَوْمَ(on the) Dayٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ(of) Resurrectionٱعْمَلُوا۟Doمَاwhatشِئْتُمْyou willإِنَّهُۥIndeed, Heبِمَاof whatتَعْمَلُونَyou doبَصِيرٌ(is) All-Seer40
إِنَّIndeedٱلَّذِينَthose whoكَفَرُوا۟disbelieveبِٱلذِّكْرِin the Reminderلَمَّاwhenجَآءَهُمْit comes to themوَإِنَّهُۥAnd indeed, itلَكِتَٰبٌ(is) surely a Bookعَزِيزٌmighty41
لَّاNotيَأْتِيهِcomes to itٱلْبَٰطِلُthe falsehoodمِنۢfromبَيْنِbefore itيَدَيْهِbefore itوَلَاand notمِنْfromخَلْفِهِۦbehind itتَنزِيلٌA Revelationمِّنْfromحَكِيمٍ(the) All-Wiseحَمِيدٍ(the) Praiseworthy42
مَّاNotيُقَالُis saidلَكَto youإِلَّاexceptمَاwhatقَدْwas saidقِيلَwas saidلِلرُّسُلِto the Messengersمِنbefore youقَبْلِكَbefore youإِنَّIndeedرَبَّكَyour Lordلَذُو(is) Possessorمَغْفِرَةٍ(of) forgivenessوَذُوand Possessorعِقَابٍ(of) penaltyأَلِيمٍpainful43
وَلَوْAnd ifجَعَلْنَٰهُWe (had) made itقُرْءَانًاa Quranأَعْجَمِيًّا(in) a foreign (language)لَّقَالُوا۟they (would have) saidلَوْلَاWhy notفُصِّلَتْare explained in detailءَايَٰتُهُۥٓits versesءَاعْجَمِىٌّ(Is it) a foreign (language)وَعَرَبِىٌّand an ArabقُلْSayهُوَIt (is)لِلَّذِينَfor those whoءَامَنُوا۟believeهُدًىa guidanceوَشِفَآءٌand a healingوَٱلَّذِينَAnd those whoلَا(do) notيُؤْمِنُونَbelieveفِىٓinءَاذَانِهِمْtheir earsوَقْرٌ(is) deafnessوَهُوَand itعَلَيْهِمْ(is) for themعَمًىblindnessأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَThoseيُنَادَوْنَare being calledمِنfromمَّكَانٍۢa placeبَعِيدٍfar44
وَلَقَدْAnd certainlyءَاتَيْنَاWe gaveمُوسَىMusaٱلْكِتَٰبَthe Bookفَٱخْتُلِفَbut disputes aroseفِيهِthereinوَلَوْلَاAnd had it not beenكَلِمَةٌ(for) a wordسَبَقَتْ(that) precededمِنfromرَّبِّكَyour Lordلَقُضِىَsurely, would have been settledبَيْنَهُمْbetween themوَإِنَّهُمْBut indeed, theyلَفِىsurely (are) inشَكٍّdoubtمِّنْهُabout itمُرِيبٍdisquieting45
مَّنْWhoeverعَمِلَdoesصَٰلِحًاrighteous deedsفَلِنَفْسِهِۦthen it is for his soulوَمَنْand whoeverأَسَآءَdoes evilفَعَلَيْهَاthen it is against itوَمَاAnd notرَبُّكَ(is) your Lordبِظَلَّٰمٍunjustلِّلْعَبِيدِto His slaves46
