لَتَجِدَنَّSurely you will findأَشَدَّstrongestٱلنَّاسِ(of) the peopleعَدَٰوَةً(in) enmityلِّلَّذِينَto those whoءَامَنُوا۟believeٱلْيَهُودَthe Jewsوَٱلَّذِينَand those whoأَشْرَكُوا۟(are) polytheistsوَلَتَجِدَنَّand surely you will findأَقْرَبَهُمnearest of themمَّوَدَّةً(in) affectionلِّلَّذِينَto those whoءَامَنُوا۟believeٱلَّذِينَthose whoقَالُوٓا۟sayإِنَّاWeنَصَٰرَىٰ(are) ChristiansذَٰلِكَThat (is)بِأَنَّbecauseمِنْهُمْamong themقِسِّيسِينَ(are) priestsوَرُهْبَانًاand monksوَأَنَّهُمْand that theyلَا(are) notيَسْتَكْبِرُونَarrogant82
وَإِذَاAnd whenسَمِعُوا۟they listenمَآ(to) whatأُنزِلَhas been revealedإِلَىtoٱلرَّسُولِthe Messengerتَرَىٰٓyou seeأَعْيُنَهُمْtheir eyesتَفِيضُoverflowingمِنَwithٱلدَّمْعِthe tearsمِمَّاfor whatعَرَفُوا۟they recognizedمِنَofٱلْحَقِّthe truthيَقُولُونَThey sayرَبَّنَآOur Lordءَامَنَّاwe have believedفَٱكْتُبْنَاso write usمَعَwithٱلشَّٰهِدِينَthe witnesses83
وَمَاAnd whatلَنَاfor us (that)لَاnotنُؤْمِنُwe believeبِٱللَّهِin Allahوَمَاand whatجَآءَنَاcame (to) usمِنَfromٱلْحَقِّthe truthوَنَطْمَعُAnd we hopeأَنthatيُدْخِلَنَاwill admit usرَبُّنَاour Lordمَعَwithٱلْقَوْمِthe peopleٱلصَّٰلِحِينَthe righteous84
فَأَثَٰبَهُمُSo rewarded themٱللَّهُAllahبِمَاfor whatقَالُوا۟they saidجَنَّٰتٍ(with) Gardensتَجْرِىflowsمِنfromتَحْتِهَاunderneath themٱلْأَنْهَٰرُthe riversخَٰلِدِينَwill abide foreverفِيهَاin itوَذَٰلِكَAnd thatجَزَآءُ(is the) rewardٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ(of) the good-doers85
وَٱلَّذِينَAnd those whoكَفَرُوا۟disbelievedوَكَذَّبُوا۟and deniedبِـَٔايَٰتِنَآOur Signsأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَthoseأَصْحَٰبُ(are the) companionsٱلْجَحِيمِ(of) the Hellfire86
يَٰٓأَيُّهَاO youٱلَّذِينَwhoءَامَنُوا۟believeلَا(Do) notتُحَرِّمُوا۟make unlawfulطَيِّبَٰتِ(the) good thingsمَآ(of) whatأَحَلَّhas (been) made lawfulٱللَّهُ(by) Allahلَكُمْfor youوَلَاand (do) notتَعْتَدُوٓا۟transgressإِنَّIndeedٱللَّهَAllahلَا(does) notيُحِبُّloveٱلْمُعْتَدِينَthe transgressors87
وَكُلُوا۟And eatمِمَّاof whatرَزَقَكُمُhas provided youٱللَّهُAllah حَلَٰلًاlawfulطَيِّبًاgoodوَٱتَّقُوا۟And fearٱللَّهَAllahٱلَّذِىٓthe Oneأَنتُمyou (are)بِهِۦin Himمُؤْمِنُونَbelievers88
لَاNotيُؤَاخِذُكُمُwill call you to accountٱللَّهُAllahبِٱللَّغْوِfor the thoughtless utterancesفِىٓinأَيْمَٰنِكُمْyour oathsوَلَٰكِنbutيُؤَاخِذُكُمHe will call you to accountبِمَاfor whatعَقَّدتُّمُyou contractedٱلْأَيْمَٰنَ(of) the oathفَكَفَّٰرَتُهُۥٓSo its expiationإِطْعَامُ(is) feedingعَشَرَةِ(of) tenمَسَٰكِينَneedy peopleمِنْofأَوْسَطِaverageمَا(of) whatتُطْعِمُونَyou feedأَهْلِيكُمْyour familiesأَوْorكِسْوَتُهُمْclothing themأَوْorتَحْرِيرُfreeingرَقَبَةٍa slaveفَمَنBut whoeverلَّمْ(does) notيَجِدْfindفَصِيَامُ(that), then fastingثَلَٰثَةِ(for) threeأَيَّامٍdaysذَٰلِكَThatكَفَّٰرَةُ(is the) expiationأَيْمَٰنِكُمْ(of) your oathsإِذَاwhenحَلَفْتُمْyou have swornوَٱحْفَظُوٓا۟And guardأَيْمَٰنَكُمْyour oathsكَذَٰلِكَThusيُبَيِّنُmakes clearٱللَّهُAllahلَكُمْto youءَايَٰتِهِۦHis Versesلَعَلَّكُمْso that you mayتَشْكُرُونَ(be) grateful89
يَٰٓأَيُّهَاO youٱلَّذِينَwhoءَامَنُوٓا۟believeإِنَّمَاVerilyٱلْخَمْرُthe intoxicantsوَٱلْمَيْسِرُand [the] games of chanceوَٱلْأَنصَابُand (sacrifices at) altarsوَٱلْأَزْلَٰمُand divining arrowsرِجْسٌ(are an) abominationمِّنْfromعَمَلِ(the) workٱلشَّيْطَٰنِ(of) the Shaitaanفَٱجْتَنِبُوهُso avoid itلَعَلَّكُمْso that you mayتُفْلِحُونَ(be) successful90
إِنَّمَاOnlyيُرِيدُintendsٱلشَّيْطَٰنُthe Shaitaanأَنtoيُوقِعَcauseبَيْنَكُمُbetween youٱلْعَدَٰوَةَ[the] enmityوَٱلْبَغْضَآءَand [the] hatredفِىthroughٱلْخَمْرِintoxicantsوَٱلْمَيْسِرِand gamblingوَيَصُدَّكُمْand hinders youعَنfromذِكْرِ(the) remembranceٱللَّهِ(of) Allahوَعَنِand fromٱلصَّلَوٰةِthe prayerفَهَلْSo willأَنتُمyouمُّنتَهُونَ(be) the ones who abstain91
وَأَطِيعُوا۟And obeyٱللَّهَAllahوَأَطِيعُوا۟and obeyٱلرَّسُولَthe Messengerوَٱحْذَرُوا۟and bewareفَإِنAnd ifتَوَلَّيْتُمْyou turn awayفَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟then knowأَنَّمَاonlyعَلَىٰuponرَسُولِنَاOur Messengerٱلْبَلَٰغُ(is to) convey (the Message)ٱلْمُبِينُclearly92
لَيْسَNotعَلَىonٱلَّذِينَthose whoءَامَنُوا۟believeوَعَمِلُوا۟and doٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِthe good deedsجُنَاحٌany sinفِيمَاfor whatطَعِمُوٓا۟they ateإِذَاwhenمَاthatٱتَّقَوا۟they fear (Allah)وَّءَامَنُوا۟and they believeوَعَمِلُوا۟and they doٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ[the] good deedsثُمَّthenٱتَّقَوا۟they fear (Allah)وَّءَامَنُوا۟and believeثُمَّthenٱتَّقَوا۟they fear (Allah)وَّأَحْسَنُوا۟and do goodوَٱللَّهُand Allahيُحِبُّlovesٱلْمُحْسِنِينَthe good-doers93
يَٰٓأَيُّهَاO youٱلَّذِينَwhoءَامَنُوا۟believeلَيَبْلُوَنَّكُمُSurely will test youٱللَّهُAllahبِشَىْءٍthrough somethingمِّنَofٱلصَّيْدِthe game تَنَالُهُۥٓcan reach itأَيْدِيكُمْyour handsوَرِمَاحُكُمْand your spearsلِيَعْلَمَthat may make evidentٱللَّهُAllahمَنwhoيَخَافُهُۥfears Himبِٱلْغَيْبِin the unseenفَمَنِAnd whoeverٱعْتَدَىٰtransgressedبَعْدَafterذَٰلِكَthatفَلَهُۥthen for himعَذَابٌ(is) a punishmentأَلِيمٌpainful94
يَٰٓأَيُّهَاO youٱلَّذِينَwhoءَامَنُوا۟believeلَا(Do) notتَقْتُلُوا۟killٱلصَّيْدَthe gameوَأَنتُمْwhile youحُرُمٌ(are in) IhramوَمَنAnd whoeverقَتَلَهُۥkilled itمِنكُمamong youمُّتَعَمِّدًاintentionallyفَجَزَآءٌthen penaltyمِّثْلُ(is) similarمَا(to) whatقَتَلَhe killedمِنَofٱلنَّعَمِthe cattleيَحْكُمُjudgingبِهِۦitذَوَاtwo menعَدْلٍjustمِّنكُمْamong youهَدْيًۢا(as) an offeringبَٰلِغَreachingٱلْكَعْبَةِthe Kabahأَوْorكَفَّٰرَةٌan expiation طَعَامُfeedingمَسَٰكِينَneedy peopleأَوْorعَدْلُequivalentذَٰلِكَ(of) thatصِيَامًا(in) fastingلِّيَذُوقَthat he may tasteوَبَالَ(the) consequenceأَمْرِهِۦ(of) his deedعَفَاPardonedٱللَّهُ(by) Allahعَمَّاwhatسَلَفَ(has) passedوَمَنْbut whoeverعَادَreturnedفَيَنتَقِمُthen will take retributionٱللَّهُAllahمِنْهُfrom himوَٱللَّهُAnd Allahعَزِيزٌ(is) All-MightyذُوOwnerٱنتِقَامٍ(of) Retribution95
أُحِلَّIs made lawfulلَكُمْfor youصَيْدُgameٱلْبَحْرِ(of) the seaوَطَعَامُهُۥand its foodمَتَٰعًا(as) provisionلَّكُمْfor youوَلِلسَّيَّارَةِand for the travelersوَحُرِّمَand is made unlawfulعَلَيْكُمْon youصَيْدُgameٱلْبَرِّ(of) the landمَاasدُمْتُمْlong as youحُرُمًا(are in) Ihramوَٱتَّقُوا۟And be consciousٱللَّهَ(of) Allahٱلَّذِىٓthe Oneإِلَيْهِto Himتُحْشَرُونَyou will be gathered96
جَعَلَHas (been) madeٱللَّهُ(by) Allahٱلْكَعْبَةَthe Kabahٱلْبَيْتَthe Houseٱلْحَرَامَthe Sacredقِيَٰمًاan establishmentلِّلنَّاسِfor mankindوَٱلشَّهْرَand the month(s)ٱلْحَرَامَ[the] sacredوَٱلْهَدْىَand the (animals) for offeringوَٱلْقَلَٰٓئِدَand the garlandsذَٰلِكَThat (is)لِتَعْلَمُوٓا۟so that you may knowأَنَّthatٱللَّهَAllahيَعْلَمُknowsمَاwhatفِى(is) inٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِthe heavensوَمَاand whatفِى(is) inٱلْأَرْضِthe earthوَأَنَّand thatٱللَّهَAllahبِكُلِّof everyشَىْءٍthingعَلِيمٌ(is) All-Knowing97
ٱعْلَمُوٓا۟KnowأَنَّthatٱللَّهَAllahشَدِيدُ(is) severeٱلْعِقَابِ(in) punishmentوَأَنَّand thatٱللَّهَAllahغَفُورٌ(is) Oft-ForgivingرَّحِيمٌMost Merciful98
مَّاNotعَلَىonٱلرَّسُولِthe Messengerإِلَّاexceptٱلْبَلَٰغُthe conveyanceوَٱللَّهُAnd Allahيَعْلَمُknowsمَاwhatتُبْدُونَyou revealوَمَاand whatتَكْتُمُونَyou conceal99
قُلSayلَّاNotيَسْتَوِى(are) equalٱلْخَبِيثُthe evilوَٱلطَّيِّبُand the goodوَلَوْeven ifأَعْجَبَكَimpresses youكَثْرَةُabundanceٱلْخَبِيثِ(of) the evilفَٱتَّقُوا۟So fearٱللَّهَAllahيَٰٓأُو۟لِىO menٱلْأَلْبَٰبِ(of) understandingلَعَلَّكُمْso that you mayتُفْلِحُونَ(be) successful100
يَٰٓأَيُّهَاO youٱلَّذِينَwhoءَامَنُوا۟believeلَا(Do) notتَسْـَٔلُوا۟askعَنْaboutأَشْيَآءَthingsإِنifتُبْدَmade clearلَكُمْto youتَسُؤْكُمْit may distress youوَإِنand ifتَسْـَٔلُوا۟you askعَنْهَاabout itحِينَwhenيُنَزَّلُis being revealedٱلْقُرْءَانُthe Quranتُبْدَit would be made clearلَكُمْto youعَفَاhas (been) pardonedٱللَّهُ(by) Allahعَنْهَا[about] itوَٱللَّهُand Allahغَفُورٌ(is) Oft-ForgivingحَلِيمٌAll-Forbearing101
قَدْIndeedسَأَلَهَاasked themقَوْمٌa peopleمِّنfromقَبْلِكُمْbefore youثُمَّthenأَصْبَحُوا۟they becameبِهَاtherebyكَٰفِرِينَdisbelievers102
مَاNotجَعَلَhas (been) madeٱللَّهُ(by) Allahمِنۢofبَحِيرَةٍa Bahirahوَلَاand notسَآئِبَةٍa Saibahوَلَاand notوَصِيلَةٍa Wasilahوَلَاand notحَامٍa Hamiوَلَٰكِنَّ[And] butٱلَّذِينَthose whoكَفَرُوا۟disbelievedيَفْتَرُونَthey inventعَلَىagainstٱللَّهِAllahٱلْكَذِبَthe lieوَأَكْثَرُهُمْand most of themلَا(do) notيَعْقِلُونَuse reason103
وَإِذَاAnd whenقِيلَit is saidلَهُمْto themتَعَالَوْا۟Comeإِلَىٰtoمَآwhatأَنزَلَhas (been) revealedٱللَّهُ(by) Allahوَإِلَىand toٱلرَّسُولِthe Messengerقَالُوا۟they saidحَسْبُنَاSufficient for usمَا(is) whatوَجَدْنَاwe foundعَلَيْهِupon itءَابَآءَنَآour forefathersأَوَلَوْEven thoughكَانَ(that)ءَابَآؤُهُمْtheir forefathersلَا(were) notيَعْلَمُونَknowingشَيْـًٔاanythingوَلَاand notيَهْتَدُونَthey (were) guided104
يَٰٓأَيُّهَاO youٱلَّذِينَwhoءَامَنُوا۟believeعَلَيْكُمْUpon youأَنفُسَكُمْ(is to guard) yourselvesلَاNotيَضُرُّكُمwill harm youمَّن(those) whoضَلَّ(have gone) astrayإِذَاwhenٱهْتَدَيْتُمْyou have been guidedإِلَىToٱللَّهِAllahمَرْجِعُكُمْ(is) your return جَمِيعًاallفَيُنَبِّئُكُمthen He will inform youبِمَاof whatكُنتُمْyou used toتَعْمَلُونَdo105
يَٰٓأَيُّهَاO youٱلَّذِينَwhoءَامَنُوا۟believeشَهَٰدَةُ(Take) testimonyبَيْنِكُمْamong youإِذَاwhenحَضَرَapproachesأَحَدَكُمُone of youٱلْمَوْتُ[the] deathحِينَ(at the) time (of making)ٱلْوَصِيَّةِ[the] a willٱثْنَانِtwoذَوَاmenعَدْلٍjustمِّنكُمْamong youأَوْorءَاخَرَانِtwo othersمِنْfromغَيْرِكُمْother than youإِنْifأَنتُمْyouضَرَبْتُمْ(are) travel(ing)فِىinٱلْأَرْضِthe earthفَأَصَٰبَتْكُمthen befalls youمُّصِيبَةُcalamityٱلْمَوْتِ(of) [the] deathتَحْبِسُونَهُمَاDetain both of themمِنۢfromبَعْدِafterٱلصَّلَوٰةِthe prayerفَيُقْسِمَانِand let them both swearبِٱللَّهِby Allahإِنِifٱرْتَبْتُمْyou doubtلَاNotنَشْتَرِىwe will exchangeبِهِۦit forثَمَنًاa priceوَلَوْeven ifكَانَhe isذَا(of)قُرْبَىٰa near relativeوَلَاand notنَكْتُمُwe will concealشَهَٰدَةَtestimonyٱللَّهِ(of) AllahإِنَّآIndeed, weإِذًاthenلَّمِنَ(will) surely (be) ofٱلْءَاثِمِينَthe sinners106
فَإِنْThen ifعُثِرَit is discoveredعَلَىٰٓ(on)أَنَّهُمَاthat the twoٱسْتَحَقَّآ(were) guiltyإِثْمًا(of) sinفَـَٔاخَرَانِthen (let) two othersيَقُومَانِstandمَقَامَهُمَا(in) their placeمِنَfromٱلَّذِينَthose whoٱسْتَحَقَّhave a lawful rightعَلَيْهِمُover them ٱلْأَوْلَيَٰنِthe former two فَيُقْسِمَانِand let them both swearبِٱللَّهِby AllahلَشَهَٰدَتُنَآSurely our testimonyأَحَقُّ(is) truerمِنthanشَهَٰدَتِهِمَاtestimony of the other twoوَمَاand notٱعْتَدَيْنَآwe have transgressedإِنَّآIndeed, weإِذًاthenلَّمِنَ(will be) ofٱلظَّٰلِمِينَthe wrongdoers107
ذَٰلِكَThatأَدْنَىٰٓ(is) closerأَنthatيَأْتُوا۟they will giveبِٱلشَّهَٰدَةِthe testimonyعَلَىٰinوَجْهِهَآits (true) formأَوْorيَخَافُوٓا۟they would fearأَنthatتُرَدَّwill be refutedأَيْمَٰنٌۢtheir oathsبَعْدَafterأَيْمَٰنِهِمْtheir (others) oathsوَٱتَّقُوا۟And fearٱللَّهَAllahوَٱسْمَعُوا۟and listenوَٱللَّهُand Allahلَا(does) notيَهْدِىguideٱلْقَوْمَthe peopleٱلْفَٰسِقِينَthe defiantly disobedient108
يَوْمَ(The) dayيَجْمَعُwill (be) gatheredٱللَّهُ(by) Allahٱلرُّسُلَthe Messengersفَيَقُولُand He will sayمَاذَآWhatأُجِبْتُمْwas (the) response you receivedقَالُوا۟They saidلَا(There is) noعِلْمَknowledgeلَنَآfor usإِنَّكَIndeed YouأَنتَYouعَلَّٰمُ(are the) Knowerٱلْغُيُوبِ(of) the unseen109
إِذْWhenقَالَsaidٱللَّهُAllahيَٰعِيسَىO Isaٱبْنَsonمَرْيَمَ(of) MaryamٱذْكُرْRememberنِعْمَتِىMy Favorعَلَيْكَupon youوَعَلَىٰand uponوَٰلِدَتِكَyour motherإِذْwhenأَيَّدتُّكَI strengthened youبِرُوحِwith (the) Spiritٱلْقُدُسِthe Holyتُكَلِّمُyou spokeٱلنَّاسَ(to) the peopleفِىinٱلْمَهْدِthe cradleوَكَهْلًاand (in) maturityوَإِذْAnd whenعَلَّمْتُكَI taught youٱلْكِتَٰبَthe Bookوَٱلْحِكْمَةَand the wisdomوَٱلتَّوْرَىٰةَand the Tauratوَٱلْإِنجِيلَand the Injeelوَإِذْand whenتَخْلُقُyou makeمِنَfromٱلطِّينِthe clayكَهَيْـَٔةِlike the shapeٱلطَّيْرِ(of) the birdبِإِذْنِىby My permissionفَتَنفُخُthen you breathفِيهَاinto itفَتَكُونُand it becomesطَيْرًۢاa birdبِإِذْنِىby My permissionوَتُبْرِئُand you healٱلْأَكْمَهَthe born blindوَٱلْأَبْرَصَand the leperبِإِذْنِىby My permissionوَإِذْand whenتُخْرِجُyou bring forthٱلْمَوْتَىٰthe deadبِإِذْنِىby My permissionوَإِذْAnd whenكَفَفْتُI restrainedبَنِىٓ(the) Childrenإِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ(of) Israelعَنكَfrom youإِذْwhenجِئْتَهُمyou came to themبِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِwith the clear proofsفَقَالَthen saidٱلَّذِينَthose whoكَفَرُوا۟disbelievedمِنْهُمْamong themإِنْNotهَٰذَآ(is) thisإِلَّاbutسِحْرٌmagicمُّبِينٌclear110
وَإِذْAnd whenأَوْحَيْتُI inspiredإِلَىtoٱلْحَوَارِيِّۦنَthe disciplesأَنْtoءَامِنُوا۟believeبِىin Meوَبِرَسُولِىand in My Messengerقَالُوٓا۟they saidءَامَنَّاWe believeوَٱشْهَدْand bear witnessبِأَنَّنَاthat indeed weمُسْلِمُونَ(are) Muslims111
إِذْWhenقَالَsaidٱلْحَوَارِيُّونَthe disciplesيَٰعِيسَىO Isaٱبْنَsonمَرْيَمَ(of) MaryamهَلْIsيَسْتَطِيعُableرَبُّكَyour Lordأَنtoيُنَزِّلَsend downعَلَيْنَاto usمَآئِدَةًa table spreadمِّنَfromٱلسَّمَآءِthe heavenقَالَHe saidٱتَّقُوا۟FearٱللَّهَAllahإِنifكُنتُمyou areمُّؤْمِنِينَbelievers112
قَالُوا۟They saidنُرِيدُWe wishأَنthatنَّأْكُلَwe eatمِنْهَاfrom itوَتَطْمَئِنَّand satisfyقُلُوبُنَاour heartsوَنَعْلَمَand we knowأَنthatقَدْcertainlyصَدَقْتَنَاyou have spoken the truth to usوَنَكُونَand we beعَلَيْهَاover itمِنَamongٱلشَّٰهِدِينَthe witnesses113
قَالَSaidعِيسَىIsaٱبْنُsonمَرْيَمَ(of) MaryamٱللَّهُمَّO Allahرَبَّنَآour Lordأَنزِلْsend downعَلَيْنَاto usمَآئِدَةًa table spreadمِّنَfromٱلسَّمَآءِthe heavenتَكُونُto beلَنَاfor usعِيدًاa festivalلِّأَوَّلِنَاfor first of usوَءَاخِرِنَاand last of usوَءَايَةًand a signمِّنكَfrom YouوَٱرْزُقْنَاAnd provide usوَأَنتَand Youخَيْرُ(are) bestٱلرَّٰزِقِينَ(of) the providers114
قَالَSaidٱللَّهُAllahإِنِّىIndeed Iمُنَزِّلُهَا(will) send it downعَلَيْكُمْto youفَمَنthen whoeverيَكْفُرْdisbelievesبَعْدُafter (that)مِنكُمْamong youفَإِنِّىٓthen indeed Iأُعَذِّبُهُۥ[I] will punish himعَذَابًا(with) a punishmentلَّآnotأُعَذِّبُهُۥٓI have punishedأَحَدًاanyoneمِّنَamongٱلْعَٰلَمِينَthe worlds115
وَإِذْAnd whenقَالَsaidٱللَّهُAllahيَٰعِيسَىO Isaٱبْنَsonمَرْيَمَ(of) MaryamءَأَنتَDid youقُلْتَsayلِلنَّاسِto the peopleٱتَّخِذُونِىTake meوَأُمِّىَand my motherإِلَٰهَيْنِ(as) two godsمِنfromدُونِbesidesٱللَّهِAllahقَالَHe saidسُبْحَٰنَكَGlory be to YouمَاNotيَكُونُwasلِىٓfor meأَنْthatأَقُولَI sayمَاwhatلَيْسَnotلِىIبِحَقٍّ(had) rightإِنIfكُنتُI hadقُلْتُهُۥsaid itفَقَدْthen surelyعَلِمْتَهُۥYou would have known itتَعْلَمُYou knowمَاwhatفِى(is) inنَفْسِىmyselfوَلَآand notأَعْلَمُI knowمَاwhatفِى(is) inنَفْسِكَYourselfإِنَّكَIndeed, YouأَنتَYouعَلَّٰمُ(are) All-Knowerٱلْغُيُوبِ(of) the unseen116
مَاNotقُلْتُI saidلَهُمْto themإِلَّاexceptمَآwhatأَمَرْتَنِىYou commanded meبِهِۦٓ[with it]أَنِthatٱعْبُدُوا۟You worshipٱللَّهَAllahرَبِّىmy Lordوَرَبَّكُمْand your LordوَكُنتُAnd I wasعَلَيْهِمْover themشَهِيدًاa witnessمَّاthatدُمْتُas long as Iفِيهِمْ(was) among themفَلَمَّاthen whenتَوَفَّيْتَنِىYou raised meكُنتَYou wereأَنتَ[You]ٱلرَّقِيبَthe Watcherعَلَيْهِمْover themوَأَنتَand Youعَلَىٰ(are) onكُلِّeveryشَىْءٍthingشَهِيدٌa Witness117
إِنIfتُعَذِّبْهُمْYou punish themفَإِنَّهُمْthen indeed theyعِبَادُكَ(are) Your slavesوَإِنand ifتَغْفِرْYou forgiveلَهُمْ[for] themفَإِنَّكَthen indeed YouأَنتَYouٱلْعَزِيزُ(are) the All-Mightyٱلْحَكِيمُthe All-Wise118
قَالَWill sayٱللَّهُAllahهَٰذَاThisيَوْمُDayيَنفَعُwill profitٱلصَّٰدِقِينَthe truthfulصِدْقُهُمْtheir truthfulnessلَهُمْFor themجَنَّٰتٌ(are) Gardensتَجْرِىflowsمِنfromتَحْتِهَاunderneath itٱلْأَنْهَٰرُthe riversخَٰلِدِينَwill abideفِيهَآin itأَبَدًاforeverرَّضِىَis pleasedٱللَّهُAllahعَنْهُمْwith themوَرَضُوا۟and they are pleasedعَنْهُwith HimذَٰلِكَThatٱلْفَوْزُ(is) the successٱلْعَظِيمُ(the) great119
لِلَّهِTo Allah (belongs)مُلْكُthe dominionٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ(of) the heavensوَٱلْأَرْضِand the earthوَمَاand whatفِيهِنَّ(is) in themوَهُوَAnd Heعَلَىٰ(is) onكُلِّeveryشَىْءٍthingقَدِيرٌۢAll-Powerful120

ٱلْحَمْدُ(All) the praises and thanksلِلَّهِ(be) to Allahٱلَّذِىthe One Whoخَلَقَcreatedٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِthe heavensوَٱلْأَرْضَand the earthوَجَعَلَand madeٱلظُّلُمَٰتِthe darkness[es]وَٱلنُّورَand the lightثُمَّThenٱلَّذِينَthose whoكَفَرُوا۟disbelievedبِرَبِّهِمْin their Lordيَعْدِلُونَequate others with Him1
هُوَHeٱلَّذِى(is) the One Whoخَلَقَكُمcreated youمِّنfromطِينٍclayثُمَّthenقَضَىٰٓHe decreedأَجَلًاa term وَأَجَلٌand a termمُّسَمًّىspecifiedعِندَهُۥwith Himثُمَّyetأَنتُمْyouتَمْتَرُونَdoubt2
وَهُوَAnd Heٱللَّهُ(is) Allahفِىinٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِthe heavensوَفِىand inٱلْأَرْضِthe earthيَعْلَمُHe knowsسِرَّكُمْyour secretوَجَهْرَكُمْand what you make publicوَيَعْلَمُand He knowsمَاwhatتَكْسِبُونَyou earn3
وَمَاAnd notتَأْتِيهِمcomes to themمِّنْ[of]ءَايَةٍany signمِّنْfromءَايَٰتِ(the) Signsرَبِّهِمْ(of) their Lordإِلَّاbutكَانُوا۟they areعَنْهَاfrom itمُعْرِضِينَturning away4
فَقَدْThen indeedكَذَّبُوا۟they deniedبِٱلْحَقِّthe truthلَمَّاwhenجَآءَهُمْit came to themفَسَوْفَbut soonيَأْتِيهِمْwill come to themأَنۢبَٰٓؤُا۟newsمَا(of) whatكَانُوا۟they used toبِهِۦ[at it]يَسْتَهْزِءُونَmock5
أَلَمْDid notيَرَوْا۟they seeكَمْhow manyأَهْلَكْنَاWe destroyedمِنfromقَبْلِهِمbefore themمِّنofقَرْنٍgenerationsمَّكَّنَّٰهُمْWe had established themفِىinٱلْأَرْضِthe earthمَاwhatلَمْnotنُمَكِّنWe (have) establishedلَّكُمْfor youوَأَرْسَلْنَاAnd We sentٱلسَّمَآءَ(rain from) the skyعَلَيْهِمupon themمِّدْرَارًاshowering abundantlyوَجَعَلْنَاand We madeٱلْأَنْهَٰرَthe riversتَجْرِىflowمِنfromتَحْتِهِمْunderneath themفَأَهْلَكْنَٰهُمThen We destroyed themبِذُنُوبِهِمْfor their sinsوَأَنشَأْنَاand We raisedمِنۢfromبَعْدِهِمْafter themقَرْنًاgenerationsءَاخَرِينَother6
وَلَوْAnd (even) ifنَزَّلْنَاWe (had) sent downعَلَيْكَto youكِتَٰبًاa written Scriptureفِىinقِرْطَاسٍa parchmentفَلَمَسُوهُand they touched itبِأَيْدِيهِمْwith their handsلَقَالَsurely (would) have saidٱلَّذِينَthose whoكَفَرُوٓا۟disbelievedإِنْNotهَٰذَآ(is) thisإِلَّاbutسِحْرٌmagicمُّبِينٌclear7
وَقَالُوا۟And they saidلَوْلَآWhy has not beenأُنزِلَsent downعَلَيْهِto himمَلَكٌan AngelوَلَوْAnd ifأَنزَلْنَاWe (had) sent downمَلَكًاan Angelلَّقُضِىَsurely (would) have been decidedٱلْأَمْرُthe matterثُمَّthenلَاnoيُنظَرُونَrespite would have been granted to them8
وَلَوْAnd ifجَعَلْنَٰهُWe had made himمَلَكًاan Angelلَّجَعَلْنَٰهُcertainly We (would) have made himرَجُلًاa manوَلَلَبَسْنَاand certainly We (would) have obscuredعَلَيْهِمto themمَّاwhatيَلْبِسُونَthey are obscuring9
وَلَقَدِAnd indeedٱسْتُهْزِئَwere mockedبِرُسُلٍMessengersمِّنfromقَبْلِكَbefore youفَحَاقَbut surroundedبِٱلَّذِينَthose whoسَخِرُوا۟scoffedمِنْهُمof themمَّاwhatكَانُوا۟they used toبِهِۦ[at it]يَسْتَهْزِءُونَmock10
قُلْSayسِيرُوا۟Travelفِىinٱلْأَرْضِthe earthثُمَّandٱنظُرُوا۟seeكَيْفَhowكَانَwasعَٰقِبَةُ(the) endٱلْمُكَذِّبِينَ(of) the rejecters11
قُلSayلِّمَنTo whom (belongs)مَّاwhatفِى(is) inٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِthe heavensوَٱلْأَرْضِand the earthقُلSayلِّلَّهِTo AllahكَتَبَHe has decreedعَلَىٰuponنَفْسِهِHimselfٱلرَّحْمَةَthe MercyلَيَجْمَعَنَّكُمْSurely He will assemble youإِلَىٰonيَوْمِ(the) Dayٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ(of) the Resurrectionلَا(there is) noرَيْبَdoubtفِيهِabout itٱلَّذِينَThose whoخَسِرُوٓا۟have lostأَنفُسَهُمْthemselvesفَهُمْthen theyلَا(do) notيُؤْمِنُونَbelieve12
وَلَهُۥAnd for Himمَا(is) whateverسَكَنَdwellsفِىinٱلَّيْلِthe nightوَٱلنَّهَارِand the dayوَهُوَand Heٱلسَّمِيعُ(is) All-HearingٱلْعَلِيمُAll-Knowing13
قُلْSayأَغَيْرَIs it other thanٱللَّهِAllahأَتَّخِذُI (should) takeوَلِيًّا(as) a protectorفَاطِرِCreatorٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ(of) the heavensوَٱلْأَرْضِand the earthوَهُوَwhile (it is) HeيُطْعِمُWho feedsوَلَاand notيُطْعَمُHe is fedقُلْSayإِنِّىٓIndeed Iأُمِرْتُ[I] am commandedأَنْthatأَكُونَI beأَوَّلَ(the) firstمَنْwhoأَسْلَمَsubmits (to Allah)وَلَاand notتَكُونَنَّbeمِنَofٱلْمُشْرِكِينَthe polytheists14
قُلْSayإِنِّىٓIndeed, Iأَخَافُ[I] fearإِنْifعَصَيْتُI disobeyedرَبِّىmy Lordعَذَابَpunishmentيَوْمٍ(of) a DayعَظِيمٍMighty15
مَّنWhoeverيُصْرَفْis avertedعَنْهُfrom itيَوْمَئِذٍthat Dayفَقَدْthen surelyرَحِمَهُۥHe had Mercy on himوَذَٰلِكَAnd thatٱلْفَوْزُ(is) the successٱلْمُبِينُ(the) clear16
وَإِنAnd ifيَمْسَسْكَtouches youٱللَّهُAllahبِضُرٍّwith afflictionفَلَاthen noكَاشِفَremoverلَهُۥٓof itإِلَّاexceptهُوَHimوَإِنAnd ifيَمْسَسْكَHe touches youبِخَيْرٍwith goodفَهُوَthen Heعَلَىٰ(is) onكُلِّeveryشَىْءٍthingقَدِيرٌAll-Powerful17
وَهُوَAnd Heٱلْقَاهِرُ(is) the SubjugatorفَوْقَoverعِبَادِهِۦHis slavesوَهُوَAnd Heٱلْحَكِيمُ(is) the All-Wiseٱلْخَبِيرُthe All-Aware18
قُلْSayأَىُّWhatشَىْءٍthingأَكْبَرُ(is) greatestشَهَٰدَةً(as) a testimonyقُلِSayٱللَّهُAllahشَهِيدٌۢ(is) Witnessبَيْنِىbetween meوَبَيْنَكُمْand between youوَأُوحِىَand has been revealedإِلَىَّto meهَٰذَاthisٱلْقُرْءَانُ[the] Quranلِأُنذِرَكُمthat I may warn youبِهِۦwith itوَمَنۢand whoeverبَلَغَit reachesأَئِنَّكُمْDo you trulyلَتَشْهَدُونَtestifyأَنَّthatمَعَwithٱللَّهِAllahءَالِهَةً(there are) godsأُخْرَىٰotherقُلSayلَّآNotأَشْهَدُ(do) I testifyقُلْSayإِنَّمَاOnlyهُوَHeإِلَٰهٌ(is) GodوَٰحِدٌOneوَإِنَّنِىand indeed, I amبَرِىٓءٌfreeمِّمَّاof whatتُشْرِكُونَyou associate (with Him)19
ٱلَّذِينَThose (to) whomءَاتَيْنَٰهُمُWe have given themٱلْكِتَٰبَthe Bookيَعْرِفُونَهُۥthey recognize himكَمَاasيَعْرِفُونَthey recognizeأَبْنَآءَهُمُtheir sonsٱلَّذِينَThose whoخَسِرُوٓا۟lostأَنفُسَهُمْthemselvesفَهُمْthen theyلَا(do) notيُؤْمِنُونَbelieve20
وَمَنْAnd whoأَظْلَمُ(is) more unjustمِمَّنِthan (he) whoٱفْتَرَىٰinventsعَلَىagainstٱللَّهِAllahكَذِبًاa lieأَوْorكَذَّبَrejectsبِـَٔايَٰتِهِۦٓHis SignsإِنَّهُۥIndeedلَاnotيُفْلِحُwill be successfulٱلظَّٰلِمُونَthe wrongdoers21
وَيَوْمَAnd (the) DayنَحْشُرُهُمْWe will gather themجَمِيعًاallثُمَّthenنَقُولُWe will sayلِلَّذِينَto those whoأَشْرَكُوٓا۟associated others with AllahأَيْنَWhere (are)شُرَكَآؤُكُمُyour partnersٱلَّذِينَthose whomكُنتُمْyou used toتَزْعُمُونَclaim22
ثُمَّThenلَمْnotتَكُنwill beفِتْنَتُهُمْ(for) them a pleaإِلَّآexceptأَنthatقَالُوا۟they sayوَٱللَّهِBy Allahرَبِّنَاour Lordمَاnotكُنَّاwe wereمُشْرِكِينَthose who associated others (with Allah)23
ٱنظُرْLookكَيْفَhowكَذَبُوا۟they liedعَلَىٰٓagainstأَنفُسِهِمْthemselvesوَضَلَّAnd lostعَنْهُمfrom themمَّاwhatكَانُوا۟they used toيَفْتَرُونَinvent24
وَمِنْهُمAnd among themمَّن(are those) whoيَسْتَمِعُlistenإِلَيْكَto youوَجَعَلْنَاbut We have placedعَلَىٰoverقُلُوبِهِمْtheir heartsأَكِنَّةًcoveringsأَنlestيَفْقَهُوهُthey understand itوَفِىٓand inءَاذَانِهِمْtheir earsوَقْرًاdeafnessوَإِنAnd ifيَرَوْا۟they seeكُلَّeveryءَايَةٍsignلَّاnotيُؤْمِنُوا۟will they believeبِهَاin itحَتَّىٰٓUntilإِذَاwhenجَآءُوكَthey come to youيُجَٰدِلُونَكَand argue with youيَقُولُsayٱلَّذِينَthose whoكَفَرُوٓا۟disbelievedإِنْNotهَٰذَآ(is) thisإِلَّآbutأَسَٰطِيرُ(the) talesٱلْأَوَّلِينَ(of) the former (people)25
وَهُمْAnd theyيَنْهَوْنَforbid (others)عَنْهُfrom itوَيَنْـَٔوْنَand they keep awayعَنْهُfrom itوَإِنAnd notيُهْلِكُونَthey destroyإِلَّآexceptأَنفُسَهُمْthemselvesوَمَاand notيَشْعُرُونَthey perceive26
وَلَوْAnd ifتَرَىٰٓyou (could) seeإِذْwhenوُقِفُوا۟they are made to standعَلَىbyٱلنَّارِthe Fireفَقَالُوا۟then they (will) sayيَٰلَيْتَنَاOh! Would that weنُرَدُّwere sent backوَلَاand notنُكَذِّبَwe would denyبِـَٔايَٰتِ(the) Signsرَبِّنَا(of) our Lordوَنَكُونَand we would beمِنَamongٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَthe believers27
بَلْNayبَدَاbecame manifestلَهُمfor themمَّاwhatكَانُوا۟they used toيُخْفُونَconcealمِنfromقَبْلُbeforeوَلَوْAnd ifرُدُّوا۟they were sent backلَعَادُوا۟certainly they (would) returnلِمَاto whatنُهُوا۟they were forbiddenعَنْهُfrom itوَإِنَّهُمْand indeed theyلَكَٰذِبُونَcertainly are liars28
وَقَالُوٓا۟And they saidإِنْNotهِىَit (is)إِلَّاexceptحَيَاتُنَاour lifeٱلدُّنْيَا(of) the worldوَمَاand notنَحْنُweبِمَبْعُوثِينَ(will be) resurrected29
وَلَوْAnd ifتَرَىٰٓyou (could) seeإِذْwhenوُقِفُوا۟they will be made to standعَلَىٰbeforeرَبِّهِمْtheir LordقَالَHe (will) sayأَلَيْسَIs notهَٰذَاthisبِٱلْحَقِّthe truthقَالُوا۟They will sayبَلَىٰYesوَرَبِّنَاby our LordقَالَHe (will) sayفَذُوقُوا۟So tasteٱلْعَذَابَthe punishmentبِمَاbecauseكُنتُمْyou used toتَكْفُرُونَdisbelieve30
قَدْIndeedخَسِرَincurred lossٱلَّذِينَthose whoكَذَّبُوا۟deniedبِلِقَآءِin (the) meetingٱللَّهِ(with) Allahحَتَّىٰٓuntilإِذَاwhenجَآءَتْهُمُcame to themٱلسَّاعَةُthe Hourبَغْتَةًsuddenlyقَالُوا۟they saidيَٰحَسْرَتَنَاOh! Our regretعَلَىٰoverمَاwhatفَرَّطْنَاwe neglectedفِيهَاconcerning itوَهُمْwhile theyيَحْمِلُونَwill bearأَوْزَارَهُمْtheir burdensعَلَىٰonظُهُورِهِمْtheir backsأَلَاUnquestionablyسَآءَEvilمَا(is) whatيَزِرُونَthey bear31
وَمَاAnd notٱلْحَيَوٰةُ(is) the lifeٱلدُّنْيَآ(of) the worldإِلَّاexceptلَعِبٌa playوَلَهْوٌand amusementوَلَلدَّارُbut the homeٱلْءَاخِرَةُ(of) the Hereafterخَيْرٌ(is) bestلِّلَّذِينَfor those whoيَتَّقُونَ(are) God consciousأَفَلَاThen notتَعْقِلُونَ(will) you reason32
قَدْIndeedنَعْلَمُWe knowإِنَّهُۥthat itلَيَحْزُنُكَgrieves youٱلَّذِىwhatيَقُولُونَthey sayفَإِنَّهُمْAnd indeed, theyلَا(do) notيُكَذِّبُونَكَdeny youوَلَٰكِنَّbutٱلظَّٰلِمِينَthe wrongdoers بِـَٔايَٰتِthe Versesٱللَّهِ(of) Allahيَجْحَدُونَthey reject33
وَلَقَدْAnd surelyكُذِّبَتْwere rejectedرُسُلٌMessengersمِّنfromقَبْلِكَbefore youفَصَبَرُوا۟but they were patientعَلَىٰoverمَاwhatكُذِّبُوا۟they were rejectedوَأُوذُوا۟and they were harmedحَتَّىٰٓuntilأَتَىٰهُمْcame to themنَصْرُنَاOur helpوَلَاAnd noمُبَدِّلَone (can) alterلِكَلِمَٰتِ(the) wordsٱللَّهِ(of) Allahوَلَقَدْand surelyجَآءَكَhas come to youمِنofنَّبَإِى۟(the) newsٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ(of) the Messengers34
وَإِنAnd ifكَانَisكَبُرَdifficultعَلَيْكَfor youإِعْرَاضُهُمْtheir aversionفَإِنِthen ifٱسْتَطَعْتَyou are ableأَنtoتَبْتَغِىَseekنَفَقًاa tunnelفِىinٱلْأَرْضِthe earthأَوْorسُلَّمًاa ladderفِىintoٱلسَّمَآءِthe skyفَتَأْتِيَهُمso that you bring to themبِـَٔايَةٍa SignوَلَوْBut ifشَآءَ(had) willedٱللَّهُAllahلَجَمَعَهُمْsurely He (would) have gathered themعَلَىonٱلْهُدَىٰthe guidanceفَلَاSo (do) notتَكُونَنَّbeمِنَofٱلْجَٰهِلِينَthe ignorant35
إِنَّمَاOnlyيَسْتَجِيبُrespondٱلَّذِينَthose whoيَسْمَعُونَlistenوَٱلْمَوْتَىٰBut the dead يَبْعَثُهُمُwill resurrect themٱللَّهُAllahثُمَّthenإِلَيْهِto Himيُرْجَعُونَthey will be returned36
وَقَالُوا۟And they saidلَوْلَاWhy (is) notنُزِّلَsent downعَلَيْهِto himءَايَةٌa Signمِّنfromرَّبِّهِۦhis LordقُلْSayإِنَّIndeedٱللَّهَAllahقَادِرٌ(is) Ableعَلَىٰٓ[on]أَنtoيُنَزِّلَsend downءَايَةًa Signوَلَٰكِنَّbutأَكْثَرَهُمْmost of themلَا(do) notيَعْلَمُونَknow37
وَمَاAnd notمِن[of]دَآبَّةٍany animalفِىinٱلْأَرْضِthe earthوَلَاand notطَٰٓئِرٍa birdيَطِيرُ(that) fliesبِجَنَاحَيْهِwith its wings إِلَّآbutأُمَمٌ(are) communitiesأَمْثَالُكُمlike youمَّاNotفَرَّطْنَاWe have neglectedفِىinٱلْكِتَٰبِthe Bookمِن[of]شَىْءٍanythingثُمَّthenإِلَىٰtoرَبِّهِمْtheir Lordيُحْشَرُونَthey will be gathered38
وَٱلَّذِينَAnd those whoكَذَّبُوا۟rejectedبِـَٔايَٰتِنَاOur Versesصُمٌّ(are) deafوَبُكْمٌand dumbفِىinٱلظُّلُمَٰتِthe darkness[es]مَنWhoeverيَشَإِwillsٱللَّهُAllah يُضْلِلْهُHe lets him go astrayوَمَنand whoeverيَشَأْHe wills يَجْعَلْهُHe places himعَلَىٰonصِرَٰطٍ(the) wayمُّسْتَقِيمٍ(the) straight39
قُلْSayأَرَءَيْتَكُمْHave you seenإِنْifأَتَىٰكُمْ(there) came to youعَذَابُpunishmentٱللَّهِ(of) Allahأَوْorأَتَتْكُمُ(there) came to youٱلسَّاعَةُthe Hour أَغَيْرَis it otherٱللَّهِ(than) Allahتَدْعُونَyou callإِنifكُنتُمْyou areصَٰدِقِينَtruthful40
بَلْNayإِيَّاهُHim Aloneتَدْعُونَyou callفَيَكْشِفُand He would removeمَاwhatتَدْعُونَyou callإِلَيْهِupon HimإِنifشَآءَHe willsوَتَنسَوْنَand you will forgetمَاwhatتُشْرِكُونَyou associate (with Him)41
وَلَقَدْAnd certainlyأَرْسَلْنَآWe sent (Messengers)إِلَىٰٓtoأُمَمٍnationsمِّنfromقَبْلِكَbefore youفَأَخَذْنَٰهُمthen We seized themبِٱلْبَأْسَآءِwith adversityوَٱلضَّرَّآءِand hardshipلَعَلَّهُمْso that they mayيَتَضَرَّعُونَhumble themselves42
فَلَوْلَآThen why notإِذْwhenجَآءَهُمcame to themبَأْسُنَاOur punishmentتَضَرَّعُوا۟they humbled themselvesوَلَٰكِنButقَسَتْbecame hardenedقُلُوبُهُمْtheir heartsوَزَيَّنَand made fair-seemingلَهُمُto themٱلشَّيْطَٰنُthe Shaitaanمَاwhatكَانُوا۟they used toيَعْمَلُونَdo43
فَلَمَّاSo whenنَسُوا۟they forgotمَاwhatذُكِّرُوا۟they were remindedبِهِۦof [it]فَتَحْنَاWe openedعَلَيْهِمْon themأَبْوَٰبَgatesكُلِّ(of) everyشَىْءٍthingحَتَّىٰٓuntilإِذَاwhenفَرِحُوا۟they rejoicedبِمَآin whatأُوتُوٓا۟they were givenأَخَذْنَٰهُمWe seized themبَغْتَةًsuddenlyفَإِذَاand thenهُمtheyمُّبْلِسُونَ(were) dumbfounded44
فَقُطِعَSo was cut offدَابِرُ(the) remnantٱلْقَوْمِ(of) the peopleٱلَّذِينَ[those] whoظَلَمُوا۟did wrongوَٱلْحَمْدُAnd all praises and thanksلِلَّهِ(be) to AllahرَبِّLordٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ(of) the worlds45
قُلْSayأَرَءَيْتُمْHave you seenإِنْifأَخَذَtook awayٱللَّهُAllahسَمْعَكُمْyour hearingوَأَبْصَٰرَكُمْand your sightوَخَتَمَand sealedعَلَىٰ[on]قُلُوبِكُمyour heartsمَّنْwhoإِلَٰهٌ(is the) godغَيْرُother thanٱللَّهِAllahيَأْتِيكُمto bring [back] to youبِهِwith itٱنظُرْSeeكَيْفَhowنُصَرِّفُWe explainٱلْءَايَٰتِthe Signsثُمَّyetهُمْtheyيَصْدِفُونَturn away46
قُلْSayأَرَءَيْتَكُمْHave you seenإِنْifأَتَىٰكُمْcomes to youعَذَابُpunishmentٱللَّهِ(of) Allahبَغْتَةًsuddenlyأَوْorجَهْرَةًopenlyهَلْwillيُهْلَكُ(any) be destroyedإِلَّاexceptٱلْقَوْمُthe people ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَthe wrongdoers47
وَمَاAnd notنُرْسِلُWe sendٱلْمُرْسَلِينَthe Messengersإِلَّاexceptمُبَشِّرِينَ(as) bearer of glad tidingsوَمُنذِرِينَand (as) warnersفَمَنْSo whoeverءَامَنَbelievedوَأَصْلَحَand reformedفَلَاthen noخَوْفٌfearعَلَيْهِمْupon themوَلَاand notهُمْtheyيَحْزَنُونَwill grieve48
وَٱلَّذِينَAnd those whoكَذَّبُوا۟deniedبِـَٔايَٰتِنَا[in] Our Versesيَمَسُّهُمُwill touch themٱلْعَذَابُthe punishmentبِمَاfor whatكَانُوا۟they used toيَفْسُقُونَdefiantly disobey49
قُلSayلَّآNotأَقُولُ(do) I sayلَكُمْto youعِندِى(that) with meخَزَآئِنُ(are the) treasuresٱللَّهِ(of) Allahوَلَآand notأَعْلَمُ(that) I knowٱلْغَيْبَthe unseenوَلَآand notأَقُولُI sayلَكُمْto youإِنِّىthat I (am)مَلَكٌan AngelإِنْNotأَتَّبِعُ(do) I followإِلَّاexceptمَاwhatيُوحَىٰٓis revealedإِلَىَّto meقُلْSayهَلْCanيَسْتَوِىbe equalٱلْأَعْمَىٰthe blindوَٱلْبَصِيرُand the seeing oneأَفَلَاThen will notتَتَفَكَّرُونَyou give thought50
وَأَنذِرْAnd warnبِهِwith itٱلَّذِينَthose whoيَخَافُونَfearأَنthatيُحْشَرُوٓا۟they will be gatheredإِلَىٰtoرَبِّهِمْtheir Lordلَيْسَnotلَهُمfor themمِّنofدُونِهِۦother than Himوَلِىٌّany protectorوَلَاand notشَفِيعٌany intercessorلَّعَلَّهُمْso that they mayيَتَّقُونَ(become) righteous51
وَلَاAnd (do) notتَطْرُدِsend awayٱلَّذِينَthose whoيَدْعُونَcallرَبَّهُمtheir Lordبِٱلْغَدَوٰةِin the morningوَٱلْعَشِىِّand the eveningيُرِيدُونَdesiringوَجْهَهُۥHis CountenanceمَاNotعَلَيْكَ(is) on youمِنْofحِسَابِهِمtheir accountمِّن[of]شَىْءٍanythingوَمَاand notمِنْfromحِسَابِكَyour accountعَلَيْهِمon themمِّن[of]شَىْءٍanythingفَتَطْرُدَهُمْSo were you to send them awayفَتَكُونَthen you would beمِنَofٱلظَّٰلِمِينَthe wrongdoers52
وَكَذَٰلِكَAnd thusفَتَنَّاWe tryبَعْضَهُمsome of themبِبَعْضٍwith othersلِّيَقُولُوٓا۟that they sayأَهَٰٓؤُلَآءِAre theseمَنَّ(whom has been) favoredٱللَّهُ(by) Allahعَلَيْهِم[upon them]مِّنۢfromبَيْنِنَآamong usأَلَيْسَis notٱللَّهُAllahبِأَعْلَمَmost knowingبِٱلشَّٰكِرِينَof those who are grateful53
وَإِذَاAnd whenجَآءَكَcome to youٱلَّذِينَthose whoيُؤْمِنُونَbelieveبِـَٔايَٰتِنَاin Our Versesفَقُلْthen sayسَلَٰمٌPeaceعَلَيْكُمْ(be) upon youكَتَبَ(Has) Prescribedرَبُّكُمْyour LordعَلَىٰuponنَفْسِهِHimselfٱلرَّحْمَةَthe Mercyأَنَّهُۥthat heمَنْwhoعَمِلَdoesمِنكُمْamong youسُوٓءًۢاevilبِجَهَٰلَةٍin ignoranceثُمَّthenتَابَrepentsمِنۢfromبَعْدِهِۦafter itوَأَصْلَحَand reformsفَأَنَّهُۥthen, indeed Heغَفُورٌ(is) Oft-ForgivingرَّحِيمٌMost Merciful54
وَكَذَٰلِكَAnd thusنُفَصِّلُWe explainٱلْءَايَٰتِthe Versesوَلِتَسْتَبِينَso that becomes manifestسَبِيلُ(the) wayٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ(of) the criminals55
قُلْSayإِنِّىIndeed Iنُهِيتُ[I] am forbiddenأَنْthatأَعْبُدَI worshipٱلَّذِينَthose whomتَدْعُونَyou callمِنfromدُونِbesidesٱللَّهِAllahقُلSayلَّآNotأَتَّبِعُI followأَهْوَآءَكُمْyour (vain) desiresقَدْcertainlyضَلَلْتُI would go astrayإِذًاthenوَمَآand notأَنَاI (would be)مِنَfromٱلْمُهْتَدِينَthe guided-ones56
قُلْSayإِنِّىIndeed, I (am)عَلَىٰonبَيِّنَةٍclear proofمِّنfromرَّبِّىmy Lordوَكَذَّبْتُمwhile you denyبِهِۦ[with] itمَاNotعِندِىI haveمَاwhatتَسْتَعْجِلُونَyou seek to hastenبِهِۦٓof itإِنِNotٱلْحُكْمُ(is) the decisionإِلَّاexceptلِلَّهِfor AllahيَقُصُّHe relatesٱلْحَقَّthe truthوَهُوَand Heخَيْرُ(is the) bestٱلْفَٰصِلِينَ(of) the Deciders57
قُلSayلَّوْIfأَنَّthatعِندِى(were) with meمَاwhatتَسْتَعْجِلُونَyou seek to hastenبِهِۦof itلَقُضِىَsurely would have been decidedٱلْأَمْرُthe matterبَيْنِىbetween meوَبَيْنَكُمْand between youوَٱللَّهُAnd Allahأَعْلَمُ(is) most knowingبِٱلظَّٰلِمِينَof the wrongdoers58
وَعِندَهُۥAnd with Himمَفَاتِحُ(are the) keysٱلْغَيْبِ(of) the unseenلَاno (one)يَعْلَمُهَآknows themإِلَّاexceptهُوَHimوَيَعْلَمُAnd He knowsمَاwhatفِى(is) inٱلْبَرِّthe landوَٱلْبَحْرِand in the seaوَمَاAnd notتَسْقُطُfallsمِنofوَرَقَةٍany leafإِلَّاbutيَعْلَمُهَاHe knows itوَلَاAnd notحَبَّةٍa grainفِىinظُلُمَٰتِthe darkness[es]ٱلْأَرْضِ(of) the earthوَلَاand notرَطْبٍmoistوَلَاand notيَابِسٍdryإِلَّاbutفِى(is) inكِتَٰبٍa RecordمُّبِينٍClear59
وَهُوَAnd Heٱلَّذِى(is) the One Whoيَتَوَفَّىٰكُمtakes your (soul)بِٱلَّيْلِby the nightوَيَعْلَمُand He knowsمَاwhatجَرَحْتُمyou committedبِٱلنَّهَارِby the dayثُمَّThenيَبْعَثُكُمْHe raises you upفِيهِthereinلِيُقْضَىٰٓso that is fulfilledأَجَلٌ(the) termمُّسَمًّىspecifiedثُمَّThenإِلَيْهِto Himمَرْجِعُكُمْwill be your returnثُمَّthenيُنَبِّئُكُمHe will inform youبِمَاabout whatكُنتُمْyou used toتَعْمَلُونَdo60
وَهُوَAnd Heٱلْقَاهِرُ(is) the SubjugatorفَوْقَoverعِبَادِهِۦHis slavesوَيُرْسِلُand He sendsعَلَيْكُمْover youحَفَظَةًguardiansحَتَّىٰٓuntilإِذَاwhenجَآءَcomesأَحَدَكُمُ(to) anyone of youٱلْمَوْتُthe deathتَوَفَّتْهُtake himرُسُلُنَاOur messengersوَهُمْand theyلَا(do) notيُفَرِّطُونَfail61
ثُمَّThenرُدُّوٓا۟they are returnedإِلَىtoٱللَّهِAllahمَوْلَىٰهُمُtheir Protector ٱلْحَقِّ[the] TrueأَلَاUnquestionablyلَهُfor Himٱلْحُكْمُ(is) the judgmentوَهُوَAnd Heأَسْرَعُ(is) swiftestٱلْحَٰسِبِينَ(of) the Reckoners62
قُلْSayمَنWhoيُنَجِّيكُمsaves youمِّنfromظُلُمَٰتِdarkness[es]ٱلْبَرِّ(of) the landوَٱلْبَحْرِand the seaتَدْعُونَهُۥyou call Himتَضَرُّعًاhumblyوَخُفْيَةًand secretlyلَّئِنْIfأَنجَىٰنَاHe saves usمِنْfromهَٰذِهِۦthisلَنَكُونَنَّsurely we will beمِنَfromٱلشَّٰكِرِينَthe grateful ones63
قُلِSayٱللَّهُAllahيُنَجِّيكُمsaves youمِّنْهَاfrom itوَمِنand fromكُلِّeveryكَرْبٍdistressثُمَّyetأَنتُمْyouتُشْرِكُونَassociate partners (with Allah)64
قُلْSayهُوَHeٱلْقَادِرُ(is) All-Capableعَلَىٰٓ[on]أَنtoيَبْعَثَsendعَلَيْكُمْupon youعَذَابًاpunishmentمِّنfromفَوْقِكُمْabove youأَوْorمِنfromتَحْتِbeneathأَرْجُلِكُمْyour feetأَوْorيَلْبِسَكُمْ(to) confuse youشِيَعًا(into) sectsوَيُذِيقَand make (you) taste بَعْضَكُمsome of youبَأْسَviolenceبَعْضٍ(of) othersٱنظُرْSeeكَيْفَhowنُصَرِّفُWe explainٱلْءَايَٰتِthe Signsلَعَلَّهُمْso that they mayيَفْقَهُونَunderstand65
وَكَذَّبَBut deniedبِهِۦit قَوْمُكَyour peopleوَهُوَwhile itٱلْحَقُّ(is) the truthقُلSayلَّسْتُI am notعَلَيْكُمover youبِوَكِيلٍa manager66
وَإِذَاAnd whenرَأَيْتَyou seeٱلَّذِينَthose whoيَخُوضُونَengage (in vain talks)فِىٓaboutءَايَٰتِنَاOur Versesفَأَعْرِضْthen turn awayعَنْهُمْfrom themحَتَّىٰuntilيَخُوضُوا۟they engageفِىinحَدِيثٍa talkغَيْرِهِۦother than itوَإِمَّاAnd ifيُنسِيَنَّكَcauses you to forgetٱلشَّيْطَٰنُthe Shaitaanفَلَاthen (do) notتَقْعُدْsitبَعْدَafterٱلذِّكْرَىٰthe reminderمَعَwithٱلْقَوْمِthe people ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَthe wrongdoers68
وَمَاAnd notعَلَى(is) onٱلَّذِينَthose whoيَتَّقُونَfear (Allah)مِنْofحِسَابِهِمtheir accountمِّن[of]شَىْءٍanythingوَلَٰكِنbutذِكْرَىٰ(for) reminderلَعَلَّهُمْso that they mayيَتَّقُونَfear (Allah)69
وَذَرِAnd leaveٱلَّذِينَthose whoٱتَّخَذُوا۟takeدِينَهُمْtheir religionلَعِبًا(as) a playوَلَهْوًاand amusementوَغَرَّتْهُمُand deluded themٱلْحَيَوٰةُthe lifeٱلدُّنْيَا(of) the worldوَذَكِّرْBut remindبِهِۦٓwith itأَنlestتُبْسَلَis given up to destructionنَفْسٌۢa soulبِمَاfor whatكَسَبَتْit (has) earnedلَيْسَnotلَهَا(is) for itمِنfromدُونِbesidesٱللَّهِAllahوَلِىٌّany protectorوَلَاand notشَفِيعٌany intercessorوَإِنAnd ifتَعْدِلْit offers ransom كُلَّeveryعَدْلٍransomلَّاnotيُؤْخَذْwill it be takenمِنْهَآfrom itأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَThoseٱلَّذِينَ(are) ones whoأُبْسِلُوا۟are given to destructionبِمَاfor whatكَسَبُوا۟they earnedلَهُمْFor themشَرَابٌ(will be) a drinkمِّنْofحَمِيمٍboiling waterوَعَذَابٌand a punishmentأَلِيمٌۢpainfulبِمَاbecauseكَانُوا۟they used toيَكْفُرُونَdisbelieve70
قُلْSayأَنَدْعُوا۟Shall we callمِنfromدُونِbesidesٱللَّهِAllahمَاwhatلَاnotيَنفَعُنَاbenefits usوَلَاand notيَضُرُّنَاharms usوَنُرَدُّand we turn backعَلَىٰٓonأَعْقَابِنَاour heelsبَعْدَafterإِذْ[when]هَدَىٰنَا(has) guided usٱللَّهُAllahكَٱلَّذِىLike the oneٱسْتَهْوَتْهُwhom (has been) enticedٱلشَّيَٰطِينُ(by) the Shaitaanفِىinٱلْأَرْضِthe earthحَيْرَانَconfusedلَهُۥٓhe hasأَصْحَٰبٌcompanionsيَدْعُونَهُۥٓwho call himإِلَىtowardsٱلْهُدَىthe guidanceٱئْتِنَا'Come to us.'قُلْSayإِنَّIndeedهُدَى(the) Guidanceٱللَّهِ(of) Allahهُوَitٱلْهُدَىٰ(is) the Guidanceوَأُمِرْنَاand we have been commandedلِنُسْلِمَthat we submitلِرَبِّto (the) Lordٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ(of) the worlds71
وَأَنْAnd toأَقِيمُوا۟establishٱلصَّلَوٰةَthe prayerوَٱتَّقُوهُand fear HimوَهُوَAnd Heٱلَّذِىٓ(is) the Oneإِلَيْهِto Himتُحْشَرُونَyou will be gathered72
وَهُوَAnd (it is) HeٱلَّذِىWhoخَلَقَcreatedٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِthe heavensوَٱلْأَرْضَand the earthبِٱلْحَقِّin truthوَيَوْمَAnd (the) DayيَقُولُHe saysكُنBeفَيَكُونُand it isقَوْلُهُHis wordٱلْحَقُّ(is) the truthوَلَهُAnd for Himٱلْمُلْكُ(is) the Dominionيَوْمَ(on the) Dayيُنفَخُwill be blownفِىinٱلصُّورِthe trumpetعَٰلِمُ(He is) All-Knowerٱلْغَيْبِ(of) the unseenوَٱلشَّهَٰدَةِand the seenوَهُوَAnd Heٱلْحَكِيمُ(is) the All-Wiseٱلْخَبِيرُthe All-Aware73
وَإِذْAnd whenقَالَsaidإِبْرَٰهِيمُIbrahimلِأَبِيهِto his fatherءَازَرَAzarأَتَتَّخِذُDo you takeأَصْنَامًاidolsءَالِهَةً(as) godsإِنِّىٓIndeed, Iأَرَىٰكَ[I] see youوَقَوْمَكَand your peopleفِىinضَلَٰلٍerrorمُّبِينٍmanifest74
وَكَذَٰلِكَAnd thusنُرِىٓWe show(ed)إِبْرَٰهِيمَIbrahimمَلَكُوتَthe kingdomٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ(of) the heavensوَٱلْأَرْضِand the earthوَلِيَكُونَso that he would beمِنَamongٱلْمُوقِنِينَthe ones who are certain75
فَلَمَّاSo whenجَنَّcoveredعَلَيْهِover himٱلَّيْلُthe nightرَءَاhe sawكَوْكَبًاa starقَالَHe saidهَٰذَاThisرَبِّى(is) my LordفَلَمَّآBut whenأَفَلَit setقَالَhe saidلَآNotأُحِبُّ(do) I likeٱلْءَافِلِينَthe ones that set76
فَلَمَّاWhenرَءَاhe sawٱلْقَمَرَthe moonبَازِغًاrisingقَالَhe saidهَٰذَاThisرَبِّى(is) my LordفَلَمَّآBut whenأَفَلَit setقَالَhe saidلَئِنIfلَّمْ(does) notيَهْدِنِىguide meرَبِّىmy LordلَأَكُونَنَّI will surely beمِنَamongٱلْقَوْمِthe peopleٱلضَّآلِّينَwho went astray77
فَلَمَّاWhenرَءَاhe sawٱلشَّمْسَthe sunبَازِغَةًrisingقَالَhe saidهَٰذَاThis (is)رَبِّىmy Lordهَٰذَآthis (is)أَكْبَرُgreaterفَلَمَّآBut whenأَفَلَتْit setقَالَhe saidيَٰقَوْمِO my peopleإِنِّىIndeed, I amبَرِىٓءٌfreeمِّمَّاof whatتُشْرِكُونَyou associate (with Allah)78
إِنِّىIndeed, Iوَجَّهْتُ[I] have turnedوَجْهِىَmy faceلِلَّذِىto the One Whoفَطَرَcreatedٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِthe heavensوَٱلْأَرْضَand the earthحَنِيفًا(as) a true monotheistوَمَآand notأَنَاI (am)مِنَofٱلْمُشْرِكِينَthe polytheists79
وَحَآجَّهُۥAnd argued with himقَوْمُهُۥhis peopleقَالَHe saidأَتُحَٰٓجُّوٓنِّىDo you argue with meفِىconcerningٱللَّهِAllahوَقَدْwhile certainlyهَدَىٰنِHe has guided meوَلَآAnd notأَخَافُ(do) I fearمَاwhatتُشْرِكُونَyou associateبِهِۦٓwith Himإِلَّآunlessأَن[that]يَشَآءَwillsرَبِّىmy LordشَيْـًٔاanythingوَسِعَEncompassesرَبِّىmy Lordكُلَّeveryشَىْءٍthingعِلْمًا(in) knowledgeأَفَلَاThen will notتَتَذَكَّرُونَyou take heed80
وَكَيْفَAnd howأَخَافُcould I fearمَآwhatأَشْرَكْتُمْyou associate (with Allah)وَلَاwhile notتَخَافُونَyou fearأَنَّكُمْthat youأَشْرَكْتُمhave associatedبِٱللَّهِwith Allahمَاwhatلَمْnotيُنَزِّلْdid He send downبِهِۦfor itعَلَيْكُمْto youسُلْطَٰنًاany authorityفَأَىُّSo whichٱلْفَرِيقَيْنِ(of) the two partiesأَحَقُّhas more rightبِٱلْأَمْنِto securityإِنifكُنتُمْyouتَعْلَمُونَknow81
ٱلَّذِينَThose whoءَامَنُوا۟believedوَلَمْand (did) notيَلْبِسُوٓا۟mixإِيمَٰنَهُمtheir beliefبِظُلْمٍwith wrongأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَthoseلَهُمُfor themٱلْأَمْنُ(is) the securityوَهُمand theyمُّهْتَدُونَ(are) rightly guided82
وَتِلْكَAnd thisحُجَّتُنَآ(is) Our argumentءَاتَيْنَٰهَآWe gave itإِبْرَٰهِيمَ(to) Ibrahimعَلَىٰagainstقَوْمِهِۦhis peopleنَرْفَعُWe raiseدَرَجَٰتٍ(by) degreesمَّنwhomنَّشَآءُWe willإِنَّIndeedرَبَّكَyour Lordحَكِيمٌ(is) All-WiseعَلِيمٌAll-Knowing83
وَوَهَبْنَاAnd We bestowedلَهُۥٓto himإِسْحَٰقَIsaacوَيَعْقُوبَand YaqubكُلًّاallهَدَيْنَاWe guidedوَنُوحًاAnd NuhهَدَيْنَاWe guidedمِنfromقَبْلُbeforeوَمِنand ofذُرِّيَّتِهِۦhis descendentsدَاوُۥدَDawoodوَسُلَيْمَٰنَand Sulaimanوَأَيُّوبَand Ayyubوَيُوسُفَand Yusufوَمُوسَىٰand Musaوَهَٰرُونَand HarunوَكَذَٰلِكَAnd thusنَجْزِىWe rewardٱلْمُحْسِنِينَthe good-doers84
وَزَكَرِيَّاAnd Zakariyaوَيَحْيَىٰand Yahyaوَعِيسَىٰand Isaوَإِلْيَاسَand Elijah كُلٌّall (were)مِّنَofٱلصَّٰلِحِينَthe righteous85
وَإِسْمَٰعِيلَAnd Ishmaelوَٱلْيَسَعَand Elishaوَيُونُسَand Yunusوَلُوطًاand Lutوَكُلًّاand allفَضَّلْنَاWe preferredعَلَىoverٱلْعَٰلَمِينَthe worlds86
وَمِنْAnd fromءَابَآئِهِمْtheir fathersوَذُرِّيَّٰتِهِمْand their descendentsوَإِخْوَٰنِهِمْand their brothers وَٱجْتَبَيْنَٰهُمْand We chose themوَهَدَيْنَٰهُمْand We guided themإِلَىٰtoصِرَٰطٍa pathمُّسْتَقِيمٍstraight87
ذَٰلِكَThatهُدَى(is the) Guidanceٱللَّهِ(of) AllahيَهْدِىHe guidesبِهِۦwith itمَنwhomيَشَآءُHe willsمِنْofعِبَادِهِۦHis slavesوَلَوْBut ifأَشْرَكُوا۟they (had) associated partners (with Allah)لَحَبِطَsurely (would be) worthlessعَنْهُمfor themمَّاwhatكَانُوا۟they used toيَعْمَلُونَdo88
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَThose ٱلَّذِينَ(are) ones whomءَاتَيْنَٰهُمُWe gave themٱلْكِتَٰبَthe Bookوَٱلْحُكْمَand the judgmentوَٱلنُّبُوَّةَand the ProphethoodفَإِنBut ifيَكْفُرْdisbelieveبِهَاin itهَٰٓؤُلَآءِtheseفَقَدْthen indeedوَكَّلْنَاWe have entrustedبِهَاitقَوْمًا(to) a peopleلَّيْسُوا۟who are notبِهَاthereinبِكَٰفِرِينَdisbelievers89
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَThoseٱلَّذِينَ(are) ones whomهَدَى(have been) guidedٱللَّهُ(by) Allahفَبِهُدَىٰهُمُso of their guidanceٱقْتَدِهْyou followقُلSayلَّآNotأَسْـَٔلُكُمْI ask youعَلَيْهِfor itأَجْرًاany rewardإِنْNotهُوَ(is) itإِلَّاbutذِكْرَىٰa reminderلِلْعَٰلَمِينَfor the worlds90
وَمَاAnd notقَدَرُوا۟they appraisedٱللَّهَAllahحَقَّ(with) trueقَدْرِهِۦٓ[of his] appraisalإِذْwhenقَالُوا۟they saidمَآNotأَنزَلَrevealedٱللَّهُ(by) Allahعَلَىٰonبَشَرٍa human beingمِّن[of]شَىْءٍanythingقُلْSayمَنْWhoأَنزَلَrevealedٱلْكِتَٰبَthe Bookٱلَّذِىwhichجَآءَbroughtبِهِۦ[it]مُوسَىٰMusaنُورًا(as) a lightوَهُدًىand guidanceلِّلنَّاسِfor the peopleتَجْعَلُونَهُۥYou make itقَرَاطِيسَ(into) parchmentsتُبْدُونَهَاyou disclose (some of) itوَتُخْفُونَand you concealكَثِيرًاmuch (of it)وَعُلِّمْتُمAnd you were taughtمَّاwhatلَمْnotتَعْلَمُوٓا۟knewأَنتُمْyouوَلَآand notءَابَآؤُكُمْyour forefathersقُلِSayٱللَّهُAllah (revealed it)ثُمَّThenذَرْهُمْleave themفِىinخَوْضِهِمْtheir discourse يَلْعَبُونَplaying91
وَهَٰذَاAnd thisكِتَٰبٌ(is) a BookأَنزَلْنَٰهُWe have revealed itمُبَارَكٌblessedمُّصَدِّقُconfirmingٱلَّذِىwhichبَيْنَ(came) beforeيَدَيْهِits handsوَلِتُنذِرَso that you may warnأُمَّ(the) motherٱلْقُرَىٰ(of) the citiesوَمَنْand whoحَوْلَهَا(are) around itوَٱلَّذِينَAnd those whoيُؤْمِنُونَbelieveبِٱلْءَاخِرَةِin the Hereafterيُؤْمِنُونَthey believeبِهِۦin itوَهُمْand theyعَلَىٰoverصَلَاتِهِمْtheir prayersيُحَافِظُونَ(are) guarding92
وَمَنْAnd whoأَظْلَمُ(is) more unjustمِمَّنِthan (one) whoٱفْتَرَىٰinventsعَلَىaboutٱللَّهِAllahكَذِبًاa lieأَوْorقَالَsaidأُوحِىَIt has been inspiredإِلَىَّto meوَلَمْwhile notيُوحَit was inspiredإِلَيْهِto himشَىْءٌanythingوَمَنand (one) whoقَالَsaidسَأُنزِلُI will revealمِثْلَlikeمَآwhatأَنزَلَ(has been) revealedٱللَّهُ(by) AllahوَلَوْAnd ifتَرَىٰٓyou (could) seeإِذِwhenٱلظَّٰلِمُونَthe wrongdoersفِى(are) inغَمَرَٰتِagoniesٱلْمَوْتِ(of) [the] deathوَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُwhile the Angelsبَاسِطُوٓا۟(are) stretching outأَيْدِيهِمْtheir hands (saying)أَخْرِجُوٓا۟Dischargeأَنفُسَكُمُyour soulsٱلْيَوْمَTodayتُجْزَوْنَyou will be recompensedعَذَابَ(with) punishmentٱلْهُونِhumiliatingبِمَاbecauseكُنتُمْyou used toتَقُولُونَsayعَلَىagainstٱللَّهِAllahغَيْرَother thanٱلْحَقِّthe truthوَكُنتُمْand you wereعَنْtowardsءَايَٰتِهِۦHis Versesتَسْتَكْبِرُونَbeing arrogant93
وَلَقَدْAnd certainlyجِئْتُمُونَاyou have come to UsفُرَٰدَىٰaloneكَمَاasخَلَقْنَٰكُمْWe created youأَوَّلَ(the) firstمَرَّةٍtimeوَتَرَكْتُمand you have leftمَّاwhateverخَوَّلْنَٰكُمْWe bestowed (on) youوَرَآءَbehindظُهُورِكُمْyour backsوَمَاAnd notنَرَىٰWe seeمَعَكُمْwith youشُفَعَآءَكُمُyour intercessorsٱلَّذِينَthose whomزَعَمْتُمْyou claimedأَنَّهُمْthat they (were)فِيكُمْin your (matters)شُرَكَٰٓؤُا۟partners (with Allah)لَقَدIndeedتَّقَطَّعَhave been severed (bonds)بَيْنَكُمْbetween youوَضَلَّand is lostعَنكُمfrom youمَّاwhatكُنتُمْyou used toتَزْعُمُونَclaim94
إِنَّIndeedٱللَّهَAllahفَالِقُ(is the) Cleaverٱلْحَبِّ(of) the grainوَٱلنَّوَىٰand the date-seedيُخْرِجُHe brings forthٱلْحَىَّthe livingمِنَfromٱلْمَيِّتِthe deadوَمُخْرِجُand brings forthٱلْمَيِّتِthe deadمِنَfromٱلْحَىِّthe livingذَٰلِكُمُThatٱللَّهُ(is) Allahفَأَنَّىٰso howتُؤْفَكُونَare you deluded95
فَالِقُ(He is the) Cleaverٱلْإِصْبَاحِ(of) the daybreakوَجَعَلَand He has madeٱلَّيْلَthe nightسَكَنًا(for) restوَٱلشَّمْسَand the sunوَٱلْقَمَرَand the moonحُسْبَانًا(for) reckoningذَٰلِكَThatتَقْدِيرُ(is the) ordainingٱلْعَزِيزِ(of) the All-Mightyٱلْعَلِيمِthe All-Knowing96
وَهُوَAnd Heٱلَّذِى(is) the One Whoجَعَلَmadeلَكُمُfor youٱلنُّجُومَthe starsلِتَهْتَدُوا۟that you may guide yourselvesبِهَاwith themفِىinظُلُمَٰتِthe darkness[es]ٱلْبَرِّ(of) the landوَٱلْبَحْرِand the seaقَدْCertainlyفَصَّلْنَاWe have made clearٱلْءَايَٰتِthe Signsلِقَوْمٍfor a peopleيَعْلَمُونَ(who) know97
وَهُوَAnd Heٱلَّذِىٓ(is) the One Whoأَنشَأَكُم(has) produced youمِّنfromنَّفْسٍa soulوَٰحِدَةٍsingleفَمُسْتَقَرٌّso (there is) a place of dwellingوَمُسْتَوْدَعٌand a resting placeقَدْCertainlyفَصَّلْنَاWe have made clearٱلْءَايَٰتِthe Signsلِقَوْمٍfor a peopleيَفْقَهُونَ(who) understand98
وَهُوَAnd Heٱلَّذِىٓ(is) the One Whoأَنزَلَsends downمِنَfromٱلسَّمَآءِthe skyمَآءًwaterفَأَخْرَجْنَاthen We bring forthبِهِۦwith itنَبَاتَvegetationكُلِّ(of) everyشَىْءٍthingفَأَخْرَجْنَاThen We bring forthمِنْهُfrom itخَضِرًاgreen plantنُّخْرِجُWe bring forthمِنْهُfrom itحَبًّاgrain مُّتَرَاكِبًاthick clusteredوَمِنَAnd fromٱلنَّخْلِthe date-palmمِنfromطَلْعِهَاits spatheقِنْوَانٌclusters of datesدَانِيَةٌhanging lowوَجَنَّٰتٍAnd gardensمِّنْofأَعْنَابٍgrapesوَٱلزَّيْتُونَand the olivesوَٱلرُّمَّانَand the pomegranatesمُشْتَبِهًاresemblingوَغَيْرَand notمُتَشَٰبِهٍresemblingٱنظُرُوٓا۟Lookإِلَىٰatثَمَرِهِۦٓits fruitإِذَآwhenأَثْمَرَit bears fruitوَيَنْعِهِۦٓand its ripeningإِنَّIndeedفِىinذَٰلِكُمْthatلَءَايَٰتٍ(are) signsلِّقَوْمٍfor a peopleيُؤْمِنُونَ(who) believe99
وَجَعَلُوا۟And they makeلِلَّهِwith Allahشُرَكَآءَpartners ٱلْجِنَّjinnوَخَلَقَهُمْthough He has created themوَخَرَقُوا۟and they falsely attributeلَهُۥto Himبَنِينَsonsوَبَنَٰتٍۢand daughtersبِغَيْرِwithoutعِلْمٍknowledgeسُبْحَٰنَهُۥGlorified is Heوَتَعَٰلَىٰand Exaltedعَمَّاabove whatيَصِفُونَthey attribute100
بَدِيعُOriginatorٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ(of) the heavensوَٱلْأَرْضِand the earthأَنَّىٰHowيَكُونُcan beلَهُۥfor Himوَلَدٌa sonوَلَمْwhile notتَكُن(there) isلَّهُۥfor Himصَٰحِبَةٌa companionوَخَلَقَand He createdكُلَّeveryشَىْءٍthingوَهُوَAnd Heبِكُلِّ(is) of everyشَىْءٍthingعَلِيمٌAll-Knower101
ذَٰلِكُمُThatٱللَّهُ(is) Allahرَبُّكُمْyour Lordلَآ(there is) noإِلَٰهَgodإِلَّاexceptهُوَHimخَٰلِقُ(the) Creatorكُلِّ(of) everyشَىْءٍthingفَٱعْبُدُوهُso worship HimوَهُوَAnd Heعَلَىٰ(is) onكُلِّeveryشَىْءٍthingوَكِيلٌa Guardian102
لَّاNot (can)تُدْرِكُهُgrasp Himٱلْأَبْصَٰرُthe visionsوَهُوَbut Heيُدْرِكُ(can) graspٱلْأَبْصَٰرَ(all) the visionوَهُوَand He (is)ٱللَّطِيفُthe All-Subtleٱلْخَبِيرُthe All-Aware103
قَدْVerilyجَآءَكُمhas come to youبَصَآئِرُenlightenmentمِنfromرَّبِّكُمْyour LordفَمَنْThen whoeverأَبْصَرَseesفَلِنَفْسِهِۦthen (it is) for his soulوَمَنْand whoeverعَمِىَ(is) blindفَعَلَيْهَاthen (it is) against himselfوَمَآAnd notأَنَا(am) Iعَلَيْكُمover youبِحَفِيظٍa guardian104
وَكَذَٰلِكَAnd thusنُصَرِّفُWe explainٱلْءَايَٰتِthe Signsوَلِيَقُولُوا۟that they (may) sayدَرَسْتَYou have studiedوَلِنُبَيِّنَهُۥand that We (may) make it clearلِقَوْمٍfor a peopleيَعْلَمُونَwho know105
ٱتَّبِعْFollowمَآwhatأُوحِىَhas been inspiredإِلَيْكَto youمِنfromرَّبِّكَyour Lordلَآ(there is) noإِلَٰهَgodإِلَّاexceptهُوَHimوَأَعْرِضْand turn awayعَنِfromٱلْمُشْرِكِينَthe polytheists106
وَلَوْAnd ifشَآءَ(had) willedٱللَّهُAllahمَآnot (they would have)أَشْرَكُوا۟associated partners (with Him)وَمَاAnd notجَعَلْنَٰكَWe have made youعَلَيْهِمْover themحَفِيظًاa guardianوَمَآand notأَنتَyouعَلَيْهِم(are) over themبِوَكِيلٍa manager107
وَلَاAnd (do) notتَسُبُّوا۟insultٱلَّذِينَthose whomيَدْعُونَthey invokeمِنfromدُونِother thanٱللَّهِAllahفَيَسُبُّوا۟lest they insultٱللَّهَAllahعَدْوًۢا(in) enmityبِغَيْرِwithoutعِلْمٍknowledgeكَذَٰلِكَThusزَيَّنَّاWe have made fair-seemingلِكُلِّto everyأُمَّةٍcommunityعَمَلَهُمْtheir deedثُمَّThenإِلَىٰtoرَبِّهِمtheir Lordمَّرْجِعُهُمْ(is) their returnفَيُنَبِّئُهُمthen He will inform themبِمَاabout whatكَانُوا۟they used toيَعْمَلُونَdo108
وَأَقْسَمُوا۟And they swearبِٱللَّهِby Allahجَهْدَstrongestأَيْمَٰنِهِمْ(of) their oathsلَئِنthat ifجَآءَتْهُمْcame to themءَايَةٌa signلَّيُؤْمِنُنَّthey would surely believeبِهَاin itقُلْSayإِنَّمَاOnlyٱلْءَايَٰتُthe signsعِندَ(are) withٱللَّهِAllahوَمَاAnd whatيُشْعِرُكُمْwill make you perceiveأَنَّهَآthat [it]إِذَاwhenجَآءَتْit comesلَاnotيُؤْمِنُونَthey will believe109
وَنُقَلِّبُAnd We will turnأَفْـِٔدَتَهُمْtheir heartsوَأَبْصَٰرَهُمْand their sightsكَمَا(just) asلَمْnotيُؤْمِنُوا۟they believeبِهِۦٓin itأَوَّلَ(the) firstمَرَّةٍtimeوَنَذَرُهُمْAnd We will leave themفِىinطُغْيَٰنِهِمْtheir transgressionيَعْمَهُونَwandering blindly110
