ٱقْتَرَبَ(Has) approachedلِلنَّاسِfor [the] mankindحِسَابُهُمْtheir accountوَهُمْwhile theyفِى(are) inغَفْلَةٍheedlessnessمُّعْرِضُونَturning away1
مَاNotيَأْتِيهِمcomes to themمِّنofذِكْرٍa Reminderمِّنfromرَّبِّهِمtheir Lordمُّحْدَثٍanewإِلَّاexceptٱسْتَمَعُوهُthey listen to itوَهُمْwhile theyيَلْعَبُونَ(are at) play2
لَاهِيَةًDistractedقُلُوبُهُمْtheir heartsوَأَسَرُّوا۟And they concealٱلنَّجْوَىthe private conversationٱلَّذِينَthose whoظَلَمُوا۟[they] wrongedهَلْIsهَٰذَآthisإِلَّاexceptبَشَرٌa human beingمِّثْلُكُمْlike youأَفَتَأْتُونَSo would you approachٱلسِّحْرَthe magicوَأَنتُمْwhile youتُبْصِرُونَsee (it)3
قَالَHe saidرَبِّىMy Lordيَعْلَمُknowsٱلْقَوْلَthe wordفِىinٱلسَّمَآءِthe heavensوَٱلْأَرْضِand the earthوَهُوَAnd Heٱلسَّمِيعُ(is) the All-Hearerٱلْعَلِيمُthe All-Knower4
بَلْNayقَالُوٓا۟they sayأَضْغَٰثُMuddledأَحْلَٰمٍۢdreamsبَلِnayٱفْتَرَىٰهُhe (has) invented itبَلْnayهُوَheشَاعِرٌ(is) a poetفَلْيَأْتِنَاSo let him bring usبِـَٔايَةٍa signكَمَآlike whatأُرْسِلَwas sentٱلْأَوَّلُونَ(to) the former5
مَآNotءَامَنَتْbelievedقَبْلَهُمbefore themمِّنanyقَرْيَةٍtownأَهْلَكْنَٰهَآwhich We destroyedأَفَهُمْso will theyيُؤْمِنُونَbelieve6
وَمَآAnd notأَرْسَلْنَاWe sentقَبْلَكَbefore youإِلَّاexceptرِجَالًاmenنُّوحِىٓWe revealedإِلَيْهِمْto themفَسْـَٔلُوٓا۟So askأَهْلَ(the) peopleٱلذِّكْرِ(of) the Reminderإِنifكُنتُمْyouلَا(do) notتَعْلَمُونَknow7
وَمَاAnd notجَعَلْنَٰهُمْWe made themجَسَدًاbodiesلَّاnotيَأْكُلُونَeatingٱلطَّعَامَthe foodوَمَاand notكَانُوا۟they wereخَٰلِدِينَimmortals8
ثُمَّThenصَدَقْنَٰهُمُWe fulfilled (for) themٱلْوَعْدَthe promiseفَأَنجَيْنَٰهُمْand We saved themوَمَنand whomنَّشَآءُWe willedوَأَهْلَكْنَاand We destroyedٱلْمُسْرِفِينَthe transgressors9
لَقَدْIndeedأَنزَلْنَآWe (have) sent downإِلَيْكُمْto youكِتَٰبًاa Bookفِيهِin itذِكْرُكُمْ(is) your mentionأَفَلَاThen will notتَعْقِلُونَyou use reason10
وَكَمْAnd how manyقَصَمْنَاWe (have) shatteredمِنofقَرْيَةٍa townكَانَتْ(that) wasظَالِمَةًunjustوَأَنشَأْنَاand We producedبَعْدَهَاafter themقَوْمًاanother peopleءَاخَرِينَanother people11
فَلَمَّآThen whenأَحَسُّوا۟they perceivedبَأْسَنَآOur tormentإِذَاbeholdهُمtheyمِّنْهَاfrom itيَرْكُضُونَwere fleeing12
لَاFlee notتَرْكُضُوا۟Flee notوَٱرْجِعُوٓا۟but returnإِلَىٰtoمَآwhatأُتْرِفْتُمْyou were given luxuryفِيهِin itوَمَسَٰكِنِكُمْand to your homesلَعَلَّكُمْso that you mayتُسْـَٔلُونَbe questioned13
فَمَاThen notزَالَتceasedتِّلْكَ[this]دَعْوَىٰهُمْtheir cryحَتَّىٰuntilجَعَلْنَٰهُمْWe made themحَصِيدًاreapedخَٰمِدِينَextinct15
وَمَاAnd notخَلَقْنَاWe createdٱلسَّمَآءَthe heavensوَٱلْأَرْضَand the earthوَمَاand whatبَيْنَهُمَا(is) between themلَٰعِبِينَ(for) playing16
لَوْIfأَرَدْنَآWe intendedأَنthatنَّتَّخِذَWe takeلَهْوًاa pastimeلَّٱتَّخَذْنَٰهُsurely We (could have) taken itمِنfromلَّدُنَّآUsإِنifكُنَّاWe wereفَٰعِلِينَdoers17
بَلْNayنَقْذِفُWe hurlبِٱلْحَقِّthe truthعَلَىagainstٱلْبَٰطِلِ[the] falsehoodفَيَدْمَغُهُۥand it breaks its headفَإِذَاbeholdهُوَit (is)زَاهِقٌvanishingوَلَكُمُAnd for youٱلْوَيْلُ(is) destructionمِمَّاfor whatتَصِفُونَyou ascribe18
وَلَهُۥAnd to Him (belongs)مَنwhoeverفِى(is) inٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِthe heavensوَٱلْأَرْضِand the earthوَمَنْAnd (those) whoعِندَهُۥ(are) near Himلَاnotيَسْتَكْبِرُونَthey are arrogantعَنْtoعِبَادَتِهِۦworship Himوَلَاand notيَسْتَحْسِرُونَthey tire19
يُسَبِّحُونَThey glorify (Him)ٱلَّيْلَ[the] nightوَٱلنَّهَارَand [the] dayلَاnotيَفْتُرُونَthey slacken20
أَمِOrٱتَّخَذُوٓا۟(have) they takenءَالِهَةًgodsمِّنَfromٱلْأَرْضِthe earthهُمْtheyيُنشِرُونَraise (the dead)21
لَوْIfكَانَ(there) wereفِيهِمَآin both of themءَالِهَةٌgodsإِلَّاbesidesٱللَّهُAllahلَفَسَدَتَاsurely they (would) have been ruinedفَسُبْحَٰنَSo glorifiedٱللَّهِ(is) AllahرَبِّLordٱلْعَرْشِ(of) the Throneعَمَّا(above) whatيَصِفُونَthey attribute22
لَاNotيُسْـَٔلُHe (can) be questionedعَمَّاabout whatيَفْعَلُHe doesوَهُمْbut theyيُسْـَٔلُونَwill be questioned23
أَمِOrٱتَّخَذُوا۟(have) they takenمِنbesides Himدُونِهِۦٓbesides HimءَالِهَةًgodsقُلْSayهَاتُوا۟Bringبُرْهَٰنَكُمْyour proofهَٰذَاThisذِكْرُ(is) a Reminderمَن(for those) whoمَّعِىَ(are) with meوَذِكْرُand a Reminderمَن(for those) whoقَبْلِى(were) before meبَلْButأَكْثَرُهُمْmost of themلَا(do) notيَعْلَمُونَknowٱلْحَقَّthe truthفَهُمso theyمُّعْرِضُونَ(are) averse24
وَمَآAnd notأَرْسَلْنَاWe sentمِنbefore youقَبْلِكَbefore youمِنanyرَّسُولٍMessengerإِلَّاbutنُوحِىٓWe reveal(ed)إِلَيْهِto himأَنَّهُۥthat [He]لَآ(There is) noإِلَٰهَgodإِلَّآexceptأَنَاMeفَٱعْبُدُونِso worship Me25
وَقَالُوا۟And they sayٱتَّخَذَHas takenٱلرَّحْمَٰنُthe Most Graciousوَلَدًاa sonسُبْحَٰنَهُۥGlorified is HeبَلْNayعِبَادٌ(they are) slavesمُّكْرَمُونَhonored26
لَاNotيَسْبِقُونَهُۥthey (can) precede Himبِٱلْقَوْلِin wordوَهُمand theyبِأَمْرِهِۦby His commandيَعْمَلُونَact27
يَعْلَمُHe knowsمَاwhatبَيْنَ(is) before themأَيْدِيهِمْ(is) before themوَمَاand whatخَلْفَهُمْ(is) behind themوَلَاand notيَشْفَعُونَthey (can) intercedeإِلَّاexceptلِمَنِfor whomٱرْتَضَىٰHe approvesوَهُمAnd theyمِّنْfromخَشْيَتِهِۦfear of Himمُشْفِقُونَstand in awe28
وَمَنAnd whoeverيَقُلْsaysمِنْهُمْof themإِنِّىٓIndeed, I amإِلَٰهٌa godمِّنbesides Himدُونِهِۦbesides HimفَذَٰلِكَThen thatنَجْزِيهِWe will recompenseجَهَنَّمَ(with) HellكَذَٰلِكَThusنَجْزِىWe recompenseٱلظَّٰلِمِينَthe wrongdoers29
أَوَلَمْDo notيَرَseeٱلَّذِينَthose whoكَفَرُوٓا۟disbelievedأَنَّthatٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِthe heavensوَٱلْأَرْضَand the earthكَانَتَاwereرَتْقًاa joined entityفَفَتَقْنَٰهُمَاthen We parted themوَجَعَلْنَاand We madeمِنَfromٱلْمَآءِ[the] waterكُلَّeveryشَىْءٍliving thingحَىٍّliving thingأَفَلَاThen will notيُؤْمِنُونَthey believe30
وَجَعَلْنَاAnd We (have) placedفِىinٱلْأَرْضِthe earthرَوَٰسِىَfirmly set mountainsأَنlestتَمِيدَit (should) shakeبِهِمْwith themوَجَعَلْنَاand We madeفِيهَاthereinفِجَاجًاbroad passesسُبُلًا(as) waysلَّعَلَّهُمْso that they mayيَهْتَدُونَ(be) guided31
وَجَعَلْنَاAnd We madeٱلسَّمَآءَthe skyسَقْفًاa roofمَّحْفُوظًاprotectedوَهُمْBut theyعَنْfromءَايَٰتِهَاits Signsمُعْرِضُونَturn away32
وَهُوَAnd Heٱلَّذِى(is) the One Whoخَلَقَcreatedٱلَّيْلَthe nightوَٱلنَّهَارَand the dayوَٱلشَّمْسَand the sunوَٱلْقَمَرَand the moonكُلٌّeachفِىinفَلَكٍan orbitيَسْبَحُونَfloating33
وَمَاAnd notجَعَلْنَاWe madeلِبَشَرٍfor any manمِّنbefore youقَبْلِكَbefore youٱلْخُلْدَ[the] immortalityأَفَإِي۟نso ifمِّتَّyou dieفَهُمُthen (would) theyٱلْخَٰلِدُونَlive forever34
كُلُّEveryنَفْسٍsoulذَآئِقَةُ(will) tasteٱلْمَوْتِ[the] deathوَنَبْلُوكُمAnd We test youبِٱلشَّرِّwith [the] badوَٱلْخَيْرِand [the] goodفِتْنَةً(as) a trialوَإِلَيْنَاand to Usتُرْجَعُونَyou will be returned35
وَإِذَاAnd whenرَءَاكَthey see youٱلَّذِينَthose whoكَفَرُوٓا۟disbelieveإِنnotيَتَّخِذُونَكَthey take youإِلَّاexceptهُزُوًا(in) ridiculeأَهَٰذَاIs thisٱلَّذِىthe one whoيَذْكُرُmentionsءَالِهَتَكُمْyour godsوَهُمAnd theyبِذِكْرِat (the) mentionٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ(of) the Most Graciousهُمْ[they]كَٰفِرُونَ(are) disbelievers36
خُلِقَIs createdٱلْإِنسَٰنُthe manمِنْofعَجَلٍhasteسَأُو۟رِيكُمْI will show youءَايَٰتِىMy Signsفَلَاso (do) notتَسْتَعْجِلُونِask Me to hasten37
وَيَقُولُونَAnd they sayمَتَىٰWhen (will be fulfilled)هَٰذَاthisٱلْوَعْدُpromiseإِنifكُنتُمْyou areصَٰدِقِينَtruthful38
لَوْIfيَعْلَمُknewٱلَّذِينَthose whoكَفَرُوا۟disbelievedحِينَ(the) timeلَا(when) notيَكُفُّونَthey will avertعَنfromوُجُوهِهِمُtheir facesٱلنَّارَthe Fireوَلَاand notعَنfromظُهُورِهِمْtheir backsوَلَاand notهُمْtheyيُنصَرُونَwill be helped39
بَلْNayتَأْتِيهِمit will come to themبَغْتَةًunexpectedlyفَتَبْهَتُهُمْand bewilder themفَلَاthen notيَسْتَطِيعُونَthey will be ableرَدَّهَاto repel itوَلَاand notهُمْtheyيُنظَرُونَwill be given respite40
وَلَقَدِAnd verilyٱسْتُهْزِئَwere mockedبِرُسُلٍMessengersمِّنbefore youقَبْلِكَbefore youفَحَاقَthen surroundedبِٱلَّذِينَthose whoسَخِرُوا۟mockedمِنْهُمfrom themمَّاwhatكَانُوا۟they usedبِهِۦat itيَسْتَهْزِءُونَ(to) mock41
قُلْSayمَنWhoيَكْلَؤُكُم(can) protect youبِٱلَّيْلِin the nightوَٱلنَّهَارِand the dayمِنَfromٱلرَّحْمَٰنِthe Most GraciousبَلْYetهُمْtheyعَنfromذِكْرِ(the) remembranceرَبِّهِم(of) their Lordمُّعْرِضُونَturn away42
أَمْOrلَهُمْhave theyءَالِهَةٌgodsتَمْنَعُهُم(to) defend themمِّنfromدُونِنَاUsلَاNotيَسْتَطِيعُونَthey are ableنَصْرَ(to) helpأَنفُسِهِمْthemselvesوَلَاand notهُمtheyمِّنَّاfrom Usيُصْحَبُونَcan be protected43
بَلْNayمَتَّعْنَاWe gave provisionهَٰٓؤُلَآءِ(to) theseوَءَابَآءَهُمْand their fathersحَتَّىٰuntilطَالَgrew longعَلَيْهِمُfor themٱلْعُمُرُthe lifeأَفَلَاThen do notيَرَوْنَthey seeأَنَّاthat WeنَأْتِىWe comeٱلْأَرْضَ(to) the landنَنقُصُهَاWe reduce itمِنْfromأَطْرَافِهَآits bordersأَفَهُمُSo is (it) theyٱلْغَٰلِبُونَ(who will be) overcoming44
قُلْSayإِنَّمَآOnlyأُنذِرُكُمI warn youبِٱلْوَحْىِby the revelationوَلَاBut notيَسْمَعُhearٱلصُّمُّthe deafٱلدُّعَآءَthe callإِذَاwhenمَاwhenيُنذَرُونَthey are warned45
وَلَئِنAnd ifمَّسَّتْهُمْtouches themنَفْحَةٌa whiffمِّنْofعَذَابِ(the) punishmentرَبِّكَ(of) your Lordلَيَقُولُنَّsurely they will sayيَٰوَيْلَنَآO woe to usإِنَّاIndeed, weكُنَّا[we] wereظَٰلِمِينَwrongdoers46
وَنَضَعُAnd We setٱلْمَوَٰزِينَthe scalesٱلْقِسْطَ(of) the justiceلِيَوْمِfor (the) Dayٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ(of) the Resurrectionفَلَاso notتُظْلَمُwill be wrongedنَفْسٌany soulشَيْـًٔا(in) anythingوَإِنAnd ifكَانَ(there) beمِثْقَالَweightحَبَّةٍ(of) a seedمِّنْofخَرْدَلٍa mustardأَتَيْنَاWe will bringبِهَا[with] itوَكَفَىٰAnd sufficientبِنَا(are) Weحَٰسِبِينَ(as) Reckoners47
وَلَقَدْAnd verilyءَاتَيْنَاWe gaveمُوسَىٰMusaوَهَٰرُونَand Harunٱلْفُرْقَانَthe Criterionوَضِيَآءًand a lightوَذِكْرًاand a Reminderلِّلْمُتَّقِينَfor the righteous48
ٱلَّذِينَThose whoيَخْشَوْنَfearرَبَّهُمtheir Lordبِٱلْغَيْبِin the unseenوَهُمand theyمِّنَofٱلسَّاعَةِthe Hourمُشْفِقُونَ(are) afraid49
وَهَٰذَاAnd thisذِكْرٌ(is) a Reminderمُّبَارَكٌblessedأَنزَلْنَٰهُwhich We (have) revealedأَفَأَنتُمْThen are youلَهُۥof itمُنكِرُونَrejecters50
وَلَقَدْAnd verilyءَاتَيْنَآWe gaveإِبْرَٰهِيمَIbrahimرُشْدَهُۥhis guidanceمِنbeforeقَبْلُbeforeوَكُنَّاand We wereبِهِۦabout himعَٰلِمِينَWell-Knowing51
إِذْWhenقَالَhe saidلِأَبِيهِto his fatherوَقَوْمِهِۦand his peopleمَاWhatهَٰذِهِ(are) theseٱلتَّمَاثِيلُ[the] statuesٱلَّتِىٓwhichأَنتُمْyouلَهَاto itعَٰكِفُونَ(are) devoted52
قَالَHe saidلَقَدْVerilyكُنتُمْyou areأَنتُمْ[you]وَءَابَآؤُكُمْand your forefathersفِى(were) inضَلَٰلٍan errorمُّبِينٍmanifest54
قَالُوٓا۟They saidأَجِئْتَنَاHave you come to usبِٱلْحَقِّwith the truthأَمْorأَنتَyouمِنَ(are) ofٱللَّٰعِبِينَthose who play55
قَالَHe saidبَلNayرَّبُّكُمْyour Lordرَبُّ(is the) Lordٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ(of) the heavensوَٱلْأَرْضِand the earthٱلَّذِىthe One Whoفَطَرَهُنَّcreated themوَأَنَاand I amعَلَىٰtoذَٰلِكُمthatمِّنَofٱلشَّٰهِدِينَthe witnesses56
وَتَٱللَّهِAnd by Allahلَأَكِيدَنَّsurely, I will planأَصْنَٰمَكُم(against) your idolsبَعْدَafterأَن[that]تُوَلُّوا۟you go awayمُدْبِرِينَturning (your) backs57
فَجَعَلَهُمْSo he made themجُذَٰذًا(into) piecesإِلَّاexceptكَبِيرًاa large (one)لَّهُمْof themلَعَلَّهُمْso that they mayإِلَيْهِto itيَرْجِعُونَreturn58
قَالُوا۟They saidمَنWhoفَعَلَ(has) doneهَٰذَاthisبِـَٔالِهَتِنَآto our godsإِنَّهُۥIndeed, heلَمِنَ(is) ofٱلظَّٰلِمِينَthe wrongdoers59
قَالُوا۟They saidسَمِعْنَاWe heardفَتًىa youthيَذْكُرُهُمْmention themيُقَالُhe is calledلَهُۥٓhe is calledإِبْرَٰهِيمُIbrahim60
قَالُوا۟They saidفَأْتُوا۟Then bringبِهِۦhimعَلَىٰٓbeforeأَعْيُنِ(the) eyesٱلنَّاسِ(of) the peopleلَعَلَّهُمْso that they mayيَشْهَدُونَbear witness61
قَالُوٓا۟They saidءَأَنتَHave youفَعَلْتَdoneهَٰذَاthisبِـَٔالِهَتِنَاto our godsيَٰٓإِبْرَٰهِيمُO Ibrahim62
قَالَHe saidبَلْNayفَعَلَهُۥ(some doer) did itكَبِيرُهُمْTheir chiefهَٰذَا(is) thisفَسْـَٔلُوهُمْSo ask themإِنifكَانُوا۟they (can)يَنطِقُونَspeak63
فَرَجَعُوٓا۟So they returnedإِلَىٰٓtoأَنفُسِهِمْthemselvesفَقَالُوٓا۟and saidإِنَّكُمْIndeed, youأَنتُمُ[you]ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ(are) the wrongdoers64
ثُمَّThenنُكِسُوا۟they were turnedعَلَىٰonرُءُوسِهِمْtheir headsلَقَدْVerilyعَلِمْتَyou knowمَاnotهَٰٓؤُلَآءِtheseيَنطِقُونَ(can) speak65
قَالَHe saidأَفَتَعْبُدُونَThen do you worshipمِنbesidesدُونِbesidesٱللَّهِAllahمَاwhatلَا(does) notيَنفَعُكُمْbenefit youشَيْـًٔا(in) anythingوَلَاand notيَضُرُّكُمْharms you66
أُفٍّUffلَّكُمْto youوَلِمَاand to whatتَعْبُدُونَyou worshipمِنbesidesدُونِbesidesٱللَّهِAllahأَفَلَاThen will notتَعْقِلُونَyou use reason67
قَالُوا۟They saidحَرِّقُوهُBurn himوَٱنصُرُوٓا۟and supportءَالِهَتَكُمْyour godsإِنifكُنتُمْyou areفَٰعِلِينَdoers68
قُلْنَاWe saidيَٰنَارُO fireكُونِىBeبَرْدًاcool[ness]وَسَلَٰمًاand safe[ty]عَلَىٰٓforإِبْرَٰهِيمَIbrahim69
وَأَرَادُوا۟And they intendedبِهِۦfor himكَيْدًاa planفَجَعَلْنَٰهُمُbut We made themٱلْأَخْسَرِينَthe greatest losers70
وَنَجَّيْنَٰهُAnd We delivered himوَلُوطًاand Lutإِلَىtoٱلْأَرْضِthe landٱلَّتِىwhichبَٰرَكْنَاWe (had) blessedفِيهَا[in it]لِلْعَٰلَمِينَfor the worlds71
وَوَهَبْنَاAnd We bestowedلَهُۥٓon himإِسْحَٰقَIsaacوَيَعْقُوبَand Yaqubنَافِلَةً(in) additionوَكُلًّاand allجَعَلْنَاWe madeصَٰلِحِينَrighteous72
وَجَعَلْنَٰهُمْAnd We made themأَئِمَّةًleadersيَهْدُونَthey guideبِأَمْرِنَاby Our CommandوَأَوْحَيْنَآAnd We inspiredإِلَيْهِمْto themفِعْلَ(the) doingٱلْخَيْرَٰتِ(of) good deedsوَإِقَامَand establishmentٱلصَّلَوٰةِ(of) the prayerوَإِيتَآءَand givingٱلزَّكَوٰةِ(of) zakahوَكَانُوا۟and they wereلَنَاof Usعَٰبِدِينَworshippers73
وَلُوطًاAnd (to) LutءَاتَيْنَٰهُWe gave himحُكْمًاjudgmentوَعِلْمًاand knowledgeوَنَجَّيْنَٰهُand We saved himمِنَfromٱلْقَرْيَةِthe townٱلَّتِىwhichكَانَتwasتَّعْمَلُdoingٱلْخَبَٰٓئِثَwicked deedsإِنَّهُمْIndeed, theyكَانُوا۟wereقَوْمَa peopleسَوْءٍevilفَٰسِقِينَdefiantly disobedient74
وَأَدْخَلْنَٰهُAnd We admitted himفِىintoرَحْمَتِنَآOur MercyإِنَّهُۥIndeed, heمِنَ(was) ofٱلصَّٰلِحِينَthe righteous75
وَنُوحًاAnd Nuhإِذْwhenنَادَىٰhe calledمِنbeforeقَبْلُbeforeفَٱسْتَجَبْنَاso We respondedلَهُۥto himفَنَجَّيْنَٰهُand We saved himوَأَهْلَهُۥand his familyمِنَfromٱلْكَرْبِthe afflictionٱلْعَظِيمِ[the] great76
وَنَصَرْنَٰهُAnd We helped himمِنَfromٱلْقَوْمِthe peopleٱلَّذِينَwhoكَذَّبُوا۟deniedبِـَٔايَٰتِنَآOur SignsإِنَّهُمْIndeed, theyكَانُوا۟wereقَوْمَa peopleسَوْءٍevilفَأَغْرَقْنَٰهُمْso We drowned themأَجْمَعِينَall77
وَدَاوُۥدَAnd Dawudوَسُلَيْمَٰنَand Sulaimanإِذْwhenيَحْكُمَانِthey judgedفِىconcerningٱلْحَرْثِthe fieldإِذْwhenنَفَشَتْpasturedفِيهِin itغَنَمُsheepٱلْقَوْمِ(of) a peopleوَكُنَّاand We wereلِحُكْمِهِمْto their judgmentشَٰهِدِينَwitness78
فَفَهَّمْنَٰهَاAnd We gave understanding of itسُلَيْمَٰنَ(to) Sulaimanوَكُلًّاand (to) eachءَاتَيْنَاWe gaveحُكْمًاjudgmentوَعِلْمًاand knowledgeوَسَخَّرْنَاAnd We subjectedمَعَwithدَاوُۥدَDawudٱلْجِبَالَthe mountainsيُسَبِّحْنَ(to) glorify Our praisesوَٱلطَّيْرَand the birdsوَكُنَّاAnd We wereفَٰعِلِينَthe Doers79
وَعَلَّمْنَٰهُAnd We taught himصَنْعَةَ(the) makingلَبُوسٍ(of) coats of armorلَّكُمْfor youلِتُحْصِنَكُمto protect youمِّنۢfromبَأْسِكُمْyour battleفَهَلْThen willأَنتُمْyouشَٰكِرُونَ(be) grateful80
وَلِسُلَيْمَٰنَAnd to Sulaimanٱلرِّيحَthe windعَاصِفَةًforcefullyتَجْرِىblowingبِأَمْرِهِۦٓby his commandإِلَىtoٱلْأَرْضِthe landٱلَّتِىwhichبَٰرَكْنَاWe blessedفِيهَا[in it]وَكُنَّاAnd We areبِكُلِّof everyشَىْءٍthingعَٰلِمِينَKnowers81
وَمِنَAnd ofٱلشَّيَٰطِينِthe devilsمَن(were some) whoيَغُوصُونَwould diveلَهُۥfor himوَيَعْمَلُونَand would doعَمَلًاworkدُونَother thanذَٰلِكَthatوَكُنَّاAnd We wereلَهُمْof themحَٰفِظِينَGuardians82
وَأَيُّوبَAnd Ayubإِذْwhenنَادَىٰhe calledرَبَّهُۥٓ(to) his LordأَنِّىIndeed, [I]مَسَّنِىَhas touched meٱلضُّرُّthe adversityوَأَنتَand Youأَرْحَمُ(are) Most Mercifulٱلرَّٰحِمِينَ(of) the Merciful83
فَٱسْتَجَبْنَاSo We respondedلَهُۥto himفَكَشَفْنَاand We removedمَاwhatبِهِۦ(was) on himمِنofضُرٍّ(the) adversityوَءَاتَيْنَٰهُAnd We gave himأَهْلَهُۥhis familyوَمِثْلَهُمand (the) like thereofمَّعَهُمْwith themرَحْمَةً(as) Mercyمِّنْfrom Ourselvesعِندِنَاfrom Ourselvesوَذِكْرَىٰand a reminderلِلْعَٰبِدِينَfor the worshippers84
وَإِسْمَٰعِيلَAnd Ishmaelوَإِدْرِيسَand Idrisوَذَاand Dhul-Kiflٱلْكِفْلِand Dhul-Kiflكُلٌّallمِّنَ(were) ofٱلصَّٰبِرِينَthe patient ones85
وَأَدْخَلْنَٰهُمْAnd We admitted themفِىinرَحْمَتِنَآOur MercyإِنَّهُمIndeed, theyمِّنَ(were) ofٱلصَّٰلِحِينَthe righteous86
وَذَاAnd Dhun-NunٱلنُّونِAnd Dhun-Nunإِذwhenذَّهَبَhe wentمُغَٰضِبًا(while) angryفَظَنَّand thoughtأَنthatلَّنneverنَّقْدِرَWe would decreeعَلَيْهِupon himفَنَادَىٰThen he calledفِىinٱلظُّلُمَٰتِthe darkness(es)أَنthatلَّآ(There is) noإِلَٰهَgodإِلَّآexceptأَنتَYouسُبْحَٰنَكَGlory be to YouإِنِّىIndeed, [I]كُنتُI amمِنَofٱلظَّٰلِمِينَthe wrongdoers87
فَٱسْتَجَبْنَاSo We respondedلَهُۥto himوَنَجَّيْنَٰهُand We saved himمِنَfromٱلْغَمِّthe distressوَكَذَٰلِكَAnd thusنُجِىWe saveٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَthe believers88
وَزَكَرِيَّآAnd Zakariyaإِذْwhenنَادَىٰhe calledرَبَّهُۥ(to) his LordرَبِّMy Lordلَا(Do) notتَذَرْنِىleave meفَرْدًاaloneوَأَنتَwhile Youخَيْرُ(are) [the] Bestٱلْوَٰرِثِينَ(of) the inheritors89
فَٱسْتَجَبْنَاSo We respondedلَهُۥto himوَوَهَبْنَاand We bestowedلَهُۥon himيَحْيَىٰYahyaوَأَصْلَحْنَاand We curedلَهُۥfor himزَوْجَهُۥٓhis wifeإِنَّهُمْIndeed, theyكَانُوا۟used (to)يُسَٰرِعُونَhastenفِىinٱلْخَيْرَٰتِgood deedsوَيَدْعُونَنَاand they supplicate to Usرَغَبًا(in) hopeوَرَهَبًاand fearوَكَانُوا۟and they wereلَنَاto Usخَٰشِعِينَhumbly submissive90
وَٱلَّتِىٓAnd she whoأَحْصَنَتْguardedفَرْجَهَاher chastityفَنَفَخْنَاso We breathedفِيهَاinto herمِنofرُّوحِنَاOur Spiritوَجَعَلْنَٰهَاand We made herوَٱبْنَهَآand her sonءَايَةًa signلِّلْعَٰلَمِينَfor the worlds91
إِنَّIndeedهَٰذِهِۦٓthisأُمَّتُكُمْ(is) your religion أُمَّةًreligionوَٰحِدَةًoneوَأَنَاand I Amرَبُّكُمْyour Lordفَٱعْبُدُونِso worship Me92
وَتَقَطَّعُوٓا۟But they cut offأَمْرَهُمtheir affairبَيْنَهُمْamong themselvesكُلٌّallإِلَيْنَاto Usرَٰجِعُونَ(will) return93
فَمَنThen whoeverيَعْمَلْdoesمِنَ[of]ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ[the] righteous deedsوَهُوَwhile heمُؤْمِنٌ(is) a believerفَلَاthen notكُفْرَانَ(will be) rejectedلِسَعْيِهِۦ[of] his effortوَإِنَّاAnd indeed, Weلَهُۥof itكَٰتِبُونَ(are) Recorders94
وَحَرَٰمٌAnd (there is) prohibitionعَلَىٰuponقَرْيَةٍa cityأَهْلَكْنَٰهَآwhich We have destroyedأَنَّهُمْthat theyلَاnotيَرْجِعُونَwill return95
حَتَّىٰٓUntilإِذَاwhenفُتِحَتْhas been openedيَأْجُوجُ(for) the Yajujوَمَأْجُوجُand Majujوَهُمand theyمِّنfromكُلِّeveryحَدَبٍelevationيَنسِلُونَdescend96
وَٱقْتَرَبَAnd has approachedٱلْوَعْدُthe promiseٱلْحَقُّ[the] trueفَإِذَاthen beholdهِىَ[it]شَٰخِصَةٌ(are) staringأَبْصَٰرُ(the) eyesٱلَّذِينَ(of) those whoكَفَرُوا۟disbelievedيَٰوَيْلَنَاO woe to usقَدْVerilyكُنَّاwe had beenفِىinغَفْلَةٍheedlessnessمِّنْofهَٰذَاthisبَلْnayكُنَّاwe wereظَٰلِمِينَwrongdoers97
إِنَّكُمْIndeed, youوَمَاand whatتَعْبُدُونَyou worshipمِنbesides Allahدُونِbesides Allahٱللَّهِbesides Allahحَصَبُ(are) firewoodجَهَنَّمَ(of) HellأَنتُمْYouلَهَاto itوَٰرِدُونَwill come98
لَوْIfكَانَwereهَٰٓؤُلَآءِtheseءَالِهَةًgodsمَّاnotوَرَدُوهَاthey (would) have come to itوَكُلٌّAnd allفِيهَاthereinخَٰلِدُونَwill abide forever99
لَهُمْFor themفِيهَاthereinزَفِيرٌ(is) sighingوَهُمْand theyفِيهَاthereinلَاnotيَسْمَعُونَwill hear100
إِنَّIndeedٱلَّذِينَthoseسَبَقَتْhas gone forthلَهُمfor themمِّنَّاfrom Usٱلْحُسْنَىٰٓthe goodأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَthoseعَنْهَاfrom itمُبْعَدُونَ(will be) removed far101
لَاNotيَسْمَعُونَthey will hearحَسِيسَهَا(the) slightest sound of itوَهُمْand theyفِىinمَاwhatٱشْتَهَتْdesireأَنفُسُهُمْtheir soulsخَٰلِدُونَwill abide forever102
لَاNotيَحْزُنُهُمُwill grieve themٱلْفَزَعُthe terrorٱلْأَكْبَرُ[the] greatestوَتَتَلَقَّىٰهُمُand will meet themٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُthe AngelsهَٰذَاThisيَوْمُكُمُ(is) your Dayٱلَّذِىwhichكُنتُمْyou wereتُوعَدُونَpromised103
يَوْمَ(The) DayنَطْوِىWe will foldٱلسَّمَآءَthe heavenكَطَىِّlike (the) foldingٱلسِّجِلِّ(of) a scrollلِلْكُتُبِfor recordsكَمَاAsبَدَأْنَآWe beganأَوَّلَ(the) firstخَلْقٍcreationنُّعِيدُهُۥWe will repeat itوَعْدًاa promiseعَلَيْنَآupon UsإِنَّاIndeed, We كُنَّاWe areفَٰعِلِينَ(the) Doers104
وَلَقَدْAnd verilyكَتَبْنَاWe have writtenفِىinٱلزَّبُورِthe Scriptureمِنۢafterبَعْدِafterٱلذِّكْرِthe mentionأَنَّthatٱلْأَرْضَthe earth يَرِثُهَاwill inherit itعِبَادِىَMy slavesٱلصَّٰلِحُونَthe righteous105
إِنَّIndeedفِىinهَٰذَاthisلَبَلَٰغًاsurely is a Messageلِّقَوْمٍfor a peopleعَٰبِدِينَworshippers106
وَمَآAnd notأَرْسَلْنَٰكَWe have sent youإِلَّاbutرَحْمَةً(as) a mercyلِّلْعَٰلَمِينَfor the worlds107
قُلْSayإِنَّمَاOnlyيُوحَىٰٓit is revealedإِلَىَّto meأَنَّمَآthatإِلَٰهُكُمْyour godإِلَٰهٌ(is) GodوَٰحِدٌOneفَهَلْso willأَنتُمyouمُّسْلِمُونَsubmit (to Him)108
فَإِنBut ifتَوَلَّوْا۟they turn awayفَقُلْthen sayءَاذَنتُكُمْI (have) announced to youعَلَىٰequallyسَوَآءٍequallyوَإِنْAnd notأَدْرِىٓI knowأَقَرِيبٌwhether is nearأَمorبَعِيدٌfarمَّاwhatتُوعَدُونَyou are promised109
إِنَّهُۥIndeed, Heيَعْلَمُknowsٱلْجَهْرَthe declaredمِنَ[of]ٱلْقَوْلِ[the] speechوَيَعْلَمُand He knowsمَاwhatتَكْتُمُونَyou conceal110
وَإِنْAnd notأَدْرِىI knowلَعَلَّهُۥperhaps it may beفِتْنَةٌa trialلَّكُمْfor youوَمَتَٰعٌand an enjoymentإِلَىٰforحِينٍa time111
قَٰلَHe saidرَبِّMy Lordٱحْكُمjudgeبِٱلْحَقِّin truthوَرَبُّنَاAnd our Lordٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ(is) the Most Graciousٱلْمُسْتَعَانُthe One Whose help is soughtعَلَىٰagainstمَاwhatتَصِفُونَyou attribute112

يَٰٓأَيُّهَاO mankindٱلنَّاسُO mankindٱتَّقُوا۟Fearرَبَّكُمْyour LordإِنَّIndeedزَلْزَلَةَ(the) convulsionٱلسَّاعَةِ(of) the Hourشَىْءٌ(is) a thingعَظِيمٌgreat1
يَوْمَ(The) Dayتَرَوْنَهَاyou will see itتَذْهَلُwill forgetكُلُّeveryمُرْضِعَةٍnursing motherعَمَّآthat whichأَرْضَعَتْshe was nursingوَتَضَعُand will deliverكُلُّeveryذَاتِpregnant womanحَمْلٍpregnant womanحَمْلَهَاher loadوَتَرَىand you will seeٱلنَّاسَ[the] mankindسُكَٰرَىٰintoxicatedوَمَاwhile notهُمtheyبِسُكَٰرَىٰ(are) intoxicatedوَلَٰكِنَّbutعَذَابَ(the) punishmentٱللَّهِ(of) Allahشَدِيدٌ(will be) severe2
وَمِنَAnd amongٱلنَّاسِthe mankindمَن(is he) whoيُجَٰدِلُdisputesفِىconcerningٱللَّهِAllahبِغَيْرِwithoutعِلْمٍknowledgeوَيَتَّبِعُand followsكُلَّeveryشَيْطَٰنٍdevilمَّرِيدٍrebellious3
كُتِبَIt has been decreedعَلَيْهِfor himأَنَّهُۥthat heمَنwhoتَوَلَّاهُbefriends himفَأَنَّهُۥthen indeed, heيُضِلُّهُۥwill misguide himوَيَهْدِيهِand will guide himإِلَىٰtoعَذَابِ(the) punishmentٱلسَّعِيرِ(of) the Blaze4
يَٰٓأَيُّهَاO mankindٱلنَّاسُO mankindإِنIfكُنتُمْyou areفِىinرَيْبٍdoubtمِّنَaboutٱلْبَعْثِthe Resurrectionفَإِنَّاthen indeed, WeخَلَقْنَٰكُمWe created youمِّنfromتُرَابٍdustثُمَّthenمِنfromنُّطْفَةٍa semen-dropثُمَّthenمِنْfromعَلَقَةٍa clinging substanceثُمَّthenمِنfromمُّضْغَةٍan embryonic lumpمُّخَلَّقَةٍformedوَغَيْرِand unformedمُخَلَّقَةٍand unformedلِّنُبَيِّنَthat We may make clearلَكُمْto youوَنُقِرُّAnd We cause to remainفِىinٱلْأَرْحَامِthe wombsمَاwhatنَشَآءُWe willإِلَىٰٓforأَجَلٍa termمُّسَمًّىappointedثُمَّthenنُخْرِجُكُمْWe bring you outطِفْلًا(as) a childثُمَّ[then]لِتَبْلُغُوٓا۟that you may reachأَشُدَّكُمْ[your] maturityوَمِنكُمAnd among youمَّن(is he) whoيُتَوَفَّىٰdiesوَمِنكُمand among youمَّن(is he) whoيُرَدُّis returnedإِلَىٰٓtoأَرْذَلِthe most abjectٱلْعُمُرِageلِكَيْلَاso that notيَعْلَمَhe knowsمِنۢafterبَعْدِafterعِلْمٍhaving knownشَيْـًٔاanythingوَتَرَىAnd you seeٱلْأَرْضَthe earthهَامِدَةًbarrenفَإِذَآthen whenأَنزَلْنَاWe send downعَلَيْهَاon itٱلْمَآءَwaterٱهْتَزَّتْit gets stirredوَرَبَتْand it swellsوَأَنۢبَتَتْand growsمِنofكُلِّeveryزَوْجٍۢkindبَهِيجٍbeautiful5
ذَٰلِكَThatبِأَنَّ(is) becauseٱللَّهَAllah هُوَHeٱلْحَقُّ(is) the TruthوَأَنَّهُۥAnd that Heيُحْىِ[He] gives lifeٱلْمَوْتَىٰ(to) the deadوَأَنَّهُۥand that Heعَلَىٰ(is) overكُلِّeveryشَىْءٍthingقَدِيرٌAll-Powerful6
وَأَنَّAnd thatٱلسَّاعَةَthe Hourءَاتِيَةٌwill comeلَّا(there is) noرَيْبَdoubtفِيهَاabout itوَأَنَّand thatٱللَّهَAllahيَبْعَثُwill resurrectمَن(those) whoفِى(are) inٱلْقُبُورِthe graves7
وَمِنَAnd amongٱلنَّاسِmankindمَن(is he) whoيُجَٰدِلُdisputesفِىconcerningٱللَّهِAllahبِغَيْرِwithoutعِلْمٍany knowledgeوَلَاand notهُدًىany guidanceوَلَاand notكِتَٰبٍa Bookمُّنِيرٍenlightening8
ثَانِىَTwistingعِطْفِهِۦhis neckلِيُضِلَّto misleadعَنfromسَبِيلِ(the) wayٱللَّهِ(of) AllahلَهُۥFor himفِىinٱلدُّنْيَاthe worldخِزْىٌ(is) disgraceوَنُذِيقُهُۥand We will make him tasteيَوْمَ(on the) Dayٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ(of) Resurrectionعَذَابَ(the) punishmentٱلْحَرِيقِ(of) the Burning Fire9
ذَٰلِكَThatبِمَا(is) for whatقَدَّمَتْhave sent forthيَدَاكَyour handsوَأَنَّand thatٱللَّهَAllahلَيْسَis notبِظَلَّٰمٍunjustلِّلْعَبِيدِto His slaves10
وَمِنَAnd amongٱلنَّاسِthe mankindمَن(is he) whoيَعْبُدُworshipsٱللَّهَAllahعَلَىٰonحَرْفٍan edgeفَإِنْAnd ifأَصَابَهُۥbefalls himخَيْرٌgoodٱطْمَأَنَّhe is contentبِهِۦwith itوَإِنْand ifأَصَابَتْهُbefalls himفِتْنَةٌa trialٱنقَلَبَhe turnsعَلَىٰonوَجْهِهِۦhis faceخَسِرَHe has lostٱلدُّنْيَاthe worldوَٱلْءَاخِرَةَand the HereafterذَٰلِكَThatهُوَ[it]ٱلْخُسْرَانُ(is) the lossٱلْمُبِينُclear11
يَدْعُوا۟He callsمِنbesidesدُونِbesidesٱللَّهِAllahمَاwhatلَاnotيَضُرُّهُۥharms himوَمَاand whatلَاnotيَنفَعُهُۥbenefits himذَٰلِكَThatهُوَ[it]ٱلضَّلَٰلُ(is) the strayingٱلْبَعِيدُfar away12
يَدْعُوا۟He callsلَمَن(one) who ضَرُّهُۥٓhis harmأَقْرَبُ(is) closerمِنthanنَّفْعِهِۦhis benefitلَبِئْسَSurely, an evilٱلْمَوْلَىٰprotectorوَلَبِئْسَand surely an evilٱلْعَشِيرُfriend13
إِنَّIndeedٱللَّهَAllahيُدْخِلُwill admitٱلَّذِينَthose whoءَامَنُوا۟believeوَعَمِلُوا۟and doٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِthe righteous deedsجَنَّٰتٍ(to) Gardensتَجْرِىflowمِنfromتَحْتِهَاunderneath itٱلْأَنْهَٰرُthe riversإِنَّIndeedٱللَّهَAllahيَفْعَلُdoesمَاwhatيُرِيدُHe intends14
مَنWhoeverكَانَ[is]يَظُنُّthinksأَنthatلَّنnotيَنصُرَهُAllah will help himٱللَّهُAllah will help himفِىinٱلدُّنْيَاthe worldوَٱلْءَاخِرَةِand the Hereafterفَلْيَمْدُدْthen let him extendبِسَبَبٍa ropeإِلَىtoٱلسَّمَآءِthe skyثُمَّthenلْيَقْطَعْlet him cut offفَلْيَنظُرْthen let him seeهَلْwhetherيُذْهِبَنَّwill removeكَيْدُهُۥhis planمَاwhatيَغِيظُenrages15
وَكَذَٰلِكَAnd thusأَنزَلْنَٰهُWe sent it downءَايَٰتٍۢ(as) clear Versesبَيِّنَٰتٍ(as) clear Versesوَأَنَّand thatٱللَّهَAllahيَهْدِىguidesمَنwhomيُرِيدُHe intends16
إِنَّIndeedٱلَّذِينَthose whoءَامَنُوا۟have believedوَٱلَّذِينَand those whoهَادُوا۟were Jewsوَٱلصَّٰبِـِٔينَand the Sabiansوَٱلنَّصَٰرَىٰand the Christiansوَٱلْمَجُوسَand the Magiansوَٱلَّذِينَand those whoأَشْرَكُوٓا۟(are) polytheistsإِنَّindeedٱللَّهَAllahيَفْصِلُwill judgeبَيْنَهُمْbetween themيَوْمَ(on) the Dayٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ(of) the ResurrectionإِنَّIndeedٱللَّهَAllahعَلَىٰoverكُلِّeveryشَىْءٍthingشَهِيدٌ(is) a Witness17
أَلَمْDo notتَرَyou seeأَنَّthatٱللَّهَ(to) Allahيَسْجُدُprostratesلَهُۥto Himمَنwhoeverفِى(is) inٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِthe heavensوَمَنand whoeverفِى(is) inٱلْأَرْضِthe earthوَٱلشَّمْسُand the sunوَٱلْقَمَرُand the moonوَٱلنُّجُومُand the starsوَٱلْجِبَالُand the mountainsوَٱلشَّجَرُand the treesوَٱلدَّوَآبُّand the moving creaturesوَكَثِيرٌand manyمِّنَofٱلنَّاسِthe peopleوَكَثِيرٌBut many حَقَّ(is) justly dueعَلَيْهِon himٱلْعَذَابُthe punishmentوَمَنAnd whoeverيُهِنِAllah humiliatesٱللَّهُAllah humiliatesفَمَاthen notلَهُۥfor himمِنanyمُّكْرِمٍbestower of honorإِنَّIndeedٱللَّهَAllahيَفْعَلُdoesمَاwhatيَشَآءُHe wills18
هَٰذَانِThese twoخَصْمَانِopponentsٱخْتَصَمُوا۟disputeفِىconcerningرَبِّهِمْtheir LordفَٱلَّذِينَBut those whoكَفَرُوا۟disbelievedقُطِّعَتْwill be cut outلَهُمْfor themثِيَابٌgarmentsمِّنofنَّارٍfireيُصَبُّWill be pouredمِنoverفَوْقِoverرُءُوسِهِمُtheir headsٱلْحَمِيمُ[the] scalding water19
يُصْهَرُWill be meltedبِهِۦwith itمَاwhatفِى(is) inبُطُونِهِمْtheir belliesوَٱلْجُلُودُand the skins20
كُلَّمَآEvery timeأَرَادُوٓا۟they wantأَنtoيَخْرُجُوا۟come outمِنْهَاfrom itمِنْfromغَمٍّanguishأُعِيدُوا۟they will be returnedفِيهَاthereinوَذُوقُوا۟Tasteعَذَابَ(the) punishmentٱلْحَرِيقِ(of) the Burning Fire22
إِنَّIndeedٱللَّهَAllahيُدْخِلُwill admitٱلَّذِينَthose whoءَامَنُوا۟believeوَعَمِلُوا۟and doٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِthe righteous deedsجَنَّٰتٍ(to) Gardensتَجْرِىflowمِنfromتَحْتِهَاunderneath itٱلْأَنْهَٰرُthe riversيُحَلَّوْنَThey will be adornedفِيهَاthereinمِنْwithأَسَاوِرَbraceletsمِنofذَهَبٍgoldوَلُؤْلُؤًاand pearlوَلِبَاسُهُمْand their garmentsفِيهَاthereinحَرِيرٌ(will be of) silk23
وَهُدُوٓا۟And they were guidedإِلَىtoٱلطَّيِّبِthe goodمِنَofٱلْقَوْلِthe speechوَهُدُوٓا۟and they were guidedإِلَىٰtoصِرَٰطِ(the) pathٱلْحَمِيدِ(of) the Praiseworthy24
إِنَّIndeedٱلَّذِينَthose whoكَفَرُوا۟disbelievedوَيَصُدُّونَand hinderعَنfromسَبِيلِ(the) wayٱللَّهِ(of) Allahوَٱلْمَسْجِدِand Al-Masjid Al-Haraamٱلْحَرَامِand Al-Masjid Al-HaraamٱلَّذِىwhichجَعَلْنَٰهُWe made itلِلنَّاسِfor the mankindسَوَآءًequalٱلْعَٰكِفُ(are) the residentفِيهِthereinوَٱلْبَادِand the visitorوَمَنand whoeverيُرِدْintendsفِيهِthereinبِإِلْحَادٍۢof deviationبِظُلْمٍ(or) wrongdoingنُّذِقْهُWe will make him tasteمِنْofعَذَابٍa punishmentأَلِيمٍpainful25
وَإِذْAnd whenبَوَّأْنَاWe assignedلِإِبْرَٰهِيمَto Ibrahimمَكَانَ(the) siteٱلْبَيْتِ(of) the HouseأَنThatلَّا(do) notتُشْرِكْassociateبِىwith Meشَيْـًٔاanythingوَطَهِّرْand purifyبَيْتِىَMy Houseلِلطَّآئِفِينَfor those who circumambulateوَٱلْقَآئِمِينَand those who standوَٱلرُّكَّعِand those who bowٱلسُّجُودِ(and) those who prostrate26
وَأَذِّنAnd proclaimفِىtoٱلنَّاسِ[the] mankindبِٱلْحَجِّ[of] the Pilgrimageيَأْتُوكَthey will come to youرِجَالًا(on) footوَعَلَىٰand onكُلِّeveryضَامِرٍlean camelيَأْتِينَthey will comeمِنfromكُلِّeveryفَجٍّmountain highwayعَمِيقٍdistant27
لِّيَشْهَدُوا۟That they may witnessمَنَٰفِعَbenefitsلَهُمْfor themوَيَذْكُرُوا۟and mentionٱسْمَ(the) nameٱللَّهِ(of) AllahفِىٓonأَيَّامٍdaysمَّعْلُومَٰتٍknownعَلَىٰoverمَاwhatرَزَقَهُمHe has provided themمِّنۢofبَهِيمَةِ(the) beastٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ(of) cattleفَكُلُوا۟So eatمِنْهَاof themوَأَطْعِمُوا۟and feedٱلْبَآئِسَthe miserableٱلْفَقِيرَthe poor28
ثُمَّThenلْيَقْضُوا۟let them endتَفَثَهُمْtheir prescribed dutiesوَلْيُوفُوا۟and fulfilنُذُورَهُمْtheir vowsوَلْيَطَّوَّفُوا۟and circumambulateبِٱلْبَيْتِthe Houseٱلْعَتِيقِ[the] Ancient29
ذَٰلِكَThatوَمَنand whoeverيُعَظِّمْhonorsحُرُمَٰتِ(the) sacred ritesٱللَّهِ(of) Allahفَهُوَthen itخَيْرٌ(is) bestلَّهُۥfor himعِندَnearرَبِّهِۦhis LordوَأُحِلَّتْAnd are made lawfulلَكُمُto youٱلْأَنْعَٰمُthe cattleإِلَّاexceptمَاwhatيُتْلَىٰis recitedعَلَيْكُمْto youفَٱجْتَنِبُوا۟So avoidٱلرِّجْسَthe abominationمِنَofٱلْأَوْثَٰنِthe idolsوَٱجْتَنِبُوا۟and avoidقَوْلَ(the) wordٱلزُّورِfalse30
حُنَفَآءَBeing uprightلِلَّهِto Allahغَيْرَnotمُشْرِكِينَassociating partnersبِهِۦwith HimوَمَنAnd whoeverيُشْرِكْassociates partnersبِٱللَّهِwith Allahفَكَأَنَّمَاthen (it is) as thoughخَرَّhe had fallenمِنَfromٱلسَّمَآءِthe skyفَتَخْطَفُهُand (had) snatched himٱلطَّيْرُthe birdsأَوْorتَهْوِىhad blownبِهِhimٱلرِّيحُthe windفِىtoمَكَانٍa placeسَحِيقٍfar off31
ذَٰلِكَThatوَمَنand whoeverيُعَظِّمْhonorsشَعَٰٓئِرَ(the) Symbolsٱللَّهِ(of) Allahفَإِنَّهَاthen indeed, itمِن(is) fromتَقْوَى(the) pietyٱلْقُلُوبِ(of) the hearts32
لَكُمْFor youفِيهَاthereinمَنَٰفِعُ(are) benefitsإِلَىٰٓforأَجَلٍa termمُّسَمًّىappointedثُمَّthenمَحِلُّهَآtheir place of sacrificeإِلَى(is) atٱلْبَيْتِthe Houseٱلْعَتِيقِthe Ancient33
وَلِكُلِّAnd for everyأُمَّةٍnationجَعَلْنَاWe have appointedمَنسَكًاa riteلِّيَذْكُرُوا۟that they may mentionٱسْمَ(the) nameٱللَّهِ(of) AllahعَلَىٰoverمَاwhatرَزَقَهُمHe (has) provided themمِّنۢofبَهِيمَةِ(the) beastٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ(of) cattleفَإِلَٰهُكُمْAnd your Godإِلَٰهٌ(is) GodوَٰحِدٌOneفَلَهُۥٓso to Himأَسْلِمُوا۟submitوَبَشِّرِAnd give glad tidingsٱلْمُخْبِتِينَ(to) the humble ones34
ٱلَّذِينَThoseإِذَاwhenذُكِرَis mentionedٱللَّهُAllah وَجِلَتْfearقُلُوبُهُمْtheir heartsوَٱلصَّٰبِرِينَand those who are patientعَلَىٰoverمَآwhateverأَصَابَهُمْhas afflicted themوَٱلْمُقِيمِىand those who establishٱلصَّلَوٰةِthe prayerوَمِمَّاand out of whatرَزَقْنَٰهُمْWe have provided themيُنفِقُونَthey spend35
وَٱلْبُدْنَAnd the camels and cattle جَعَلْنَٰهَاWe have made themلَكُمfor youمِّنamongشَعَٰٓئِرِ(the) Symbolsٱللَّهِ(of) Allahلَكُمْfor youفِيهَاthereinخَيْرٌ(is) goodفَٱذْكُرُوا۟So mentionٱسْمَ(the) nameٱللَّهِ(of) Allahعَلَيْهَاover themصَوَآفَّ(when) lined upفَإِذَاand whenوَجَبَتْare downجُنُوبُهَاtheir sidesفَكُلُوا۟then eatمِنْهَاfrom themوَأَطْعِمُوا۟and feedٱلْقَانِعَthe needy who do not askوَٱلْمُعْتَرَّand the needy who askكَذَٰلِكَThusسَخَّرْنَٰهَاWe have subjected themلَكُمْto youلَعَلَّكُمْso that you mayتَشْكُرُونَbe grateful36
لَنWill notيَنَالَreachٱللَّهَAllahلُحُومُهَاtheir meatوَلَاand notدِمَآؤُهَاtheir bloodوَلَٰكِنbutيَنَالُهُreaches Himٱلتَّقْوَىٰthe pietyمِنكُمْfrom youكَذَٰلِكَThusسَخَّرَهَاHe subjected themلَكُمْto youلِتُكَبِّرُوا۟so that you may magnifyٱللَّهَAllahعَلَىٰforمَاwhatهَدَىٰكُمْHe has guided youوَبَشِّرِAnd give glad tidingsٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ(to) the good-doers37
إِنَّIndeedٱللَّهَAllahيُدَٰفِعُdefendsعَنِdefendsٱلَّذِينَthose whoءَامَنُوٓا۟believeإِنَّIndeedٱللَّهَAllahلَا(does) notيُحِبُّlikeكُلَّeveryخَوَّانٍtreacherousكَفُورٍungrateful38
أُذِنَPermission is givenلِلَّذِينَto those whoيُقَٰتَلُونَare being foughtبِأَنَّهُمْbecause theyظُلِمُوا۟were wrongedوَإِنَّAnd indeedٱللَّهَAllahعَلَىٰforنَصْرِهِمْtheir victoryلَقَدِيرٌ(is) surely Able39
ٱلَّذِينَThose whoأُخْرِجُوا۟have been evictedمِنfromدِيَٰرِهِمtheir homesبِغَيْرِwithoutحَقٍّrightإِلَّآexceptأَنthatيَقُولُوا۟they saidرَبُّنَاOur Lordٱللَّهُ(is) AllahوَلَوْلَاAnd if notدَفْعُAllah checksٱللَّهِAllah checksٱلنَّاسَthe peopleبَعْضَهُمsome of themبِبَعْضٍby othersلَّهُدِّمَتْsurely (would) have been demolishedصَوَٰمِعُmonasteriesوَبِيَعٌand churchesوَصَلَوَٰتٌand synagoguesوَمَسَٰجِدُand masajid يُذْكَرُis mentionedفِيهَاin itٱسْمُ(the) name of Allahٱللَّهِ(the) name of AllahكَثِيرًاmuchوَلَيَنصُرَنَّAnd surely Allah will helpٱللَّهُAnd surely Allah will helpمَن(those) whoيَنصُرُهُۥٓhelp HimإِنَّIndeedٱللَّهَAllahلَقَوِىٌّ(is) surely All-StrongعَزِيزٌAll-Mighty40
ٱلَّذِينَThose whoإِنifمَّكَّنَّٰهُمْWe establish themفِىinٱلْأَرْضِthe landأَقَامُوا۟they establishٱلصَّلَوٰةَthe prayerوَءَاتَوُا۟and they giveٱلزَّكَوٰةَzakahوَأَمَرُوا۟and they enjoinبِٱلْمَعْرُوفِthe rightوَنَهَوْا۟and forbidعَنِfromٱلْمُنكَرِthe wrongوَلِلَّهِAnd for Allahعَٰقِبَةُ(is the) endٱلْأُمُورِ(of) the matters41
وَإِنAnd ifيُكَذِّبُوكَthey deny youفَقَدْso verilyكَذَّبَتْdeniedقَبْلَهُمْbefore themقَوْمُ(the) peopleنُوحٍ(of) Nuhوَعَادٌand Aadوَثَمُودُand Thamud42
وَأَصْحَٰبُAnd the inhabitantsمَدْيَنَ(of) MadyanوَكُذِّبَAnd Musa was deniedمُوسَىٰAnd Musa was deniedفَأَمْلَيْتُso I granted respiteلِلْكَٰفِرِينَto the disbelieversثُمَّthenأَخَذْتُهُمْI seized themفَكَيْفَand howكَانَwasنَكِيرِMy punishment44
فَكَأَيِّنAnd how manyمِّنofقَرْيَةٍa townshipأَهْلَكْنَٰهَاWe have destroyed itوَهِىَwhile itظَالِمَةٌwas doing wrongفَهِىَso itخَاوِيَةٌfellعَلَىٰonعُرُوشِهَاits roofsوَبِئْرٍand wellمُّعَطَّلَةٍabandonedوَقَصْرٍand castleمَّشِيدٍlofty45
أَفَلَمْSo have notيَسِيرُوا۟they traveledفِىinٱلْأَرْضِthe landفَتَكُونَand isلَهُمْfor themقُلُوبٌheartsيَعْقِلُونَ(to) reasonبِهَآwith itأَوْorءَاذَانٌearsيَسْمَعُونَ(to) hearبِهَاwith itفَإِنَّهَاFor indeed, [it]لَاnotتَعْمَى(are) blindedٱلْأَبْصَٰرُthe eyesوَلَٰكِنbutتَعْمَى(are) blindedٱلْقُلُوبُthe heartsٱلَّتِىwhichفِى(are) inٱلصُّدُورِthe breasts46
وَيَسْتَعْجِلُونَكَAnd they ask you to hastenبِٱلْعَذَابِthe punishmentوَلَنBut never willيُخْلِفَfail/violateٱللَّهُAllahوَعْدَهُۥ(in) His PromiseوَإِنَّAnd indeedيَوْمًاa dayعِندَwithرَبِّكَyour Lordكَأَلْفِ(is) like a thousandسَنَةٍyear(s)مِّمَّاof whatتَعُدُّونَyou count47
وَكَأَيِّنAnd how manyمِّنofقَرْيَةٍa townshipأَمْلَيْتُI gave respiteلَهَاto itوَهِىَwhile itظَالِمَةٌ(was) doing wrongثُمَّThenأَخَذْتُهَاI seized itوَإِلَىَّand to Meٱلْمَصِيرُ(is) the destination48
قُلْSayيَٰٓأَيُّهَاO mankindٱلنَّاسُO mankindإِنَّمَآOnlyأَنَاI amلَكُمْto youنَذِيرٌa warnerمُّبِينٌclear49
فَٱلَّذِينَSo those whoءَامَنُوا۟believeوَعَمِلُوا۟and doٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِrighteous deeds لَهُمfor themمَّغْفِرَةٌ(is) forgivenessوَرِزْقٌand a provisionكَرِيمٌnoble50
وَٱلَّذِينَAnd those whoسَعَوْا۟stroveفِىٓagainstءَايَٰتِنَاOur Versesمُعَٰجِزِينَ(to) cause failureأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَthoseأَصْحَٰبُ(are the) companionsٱلْجَحِيمِ(of) the Hellfire51
وَمَآAnd notأَرْسَلْنَاWe sentمِنbefore youقَبْلِكَbefore youمِنanyرَّسُولٍMessengerوَلَاand notنَبِىٍّa Prophetإِلَّآbutإِذَاwhenتَمَنَّىٰٓhe recitedأَلْقَىthrewٱلشَّيْطَٰنُthe Shaitaanفِىٓinأُمْنِيَّتِهِۦhis recitationفَيَنسَخُBut Allah abolishesٱللَّهُBut Allah abolishesمَاwhatيُلْقِىthrowsٱلشَّيْطَٰنُthe ShaitaanثُمَّthenيُحْكِمُAllah will establishٱللَّهُAllah will establishءَايَٰتِهِۦHis VersesوَٱللَّهُAnd Allahعَلِيمٌ(is) All-KnowerحَكِيمٌAll-Wise52
لِّيَجْعَلَThat He may makeمَاwhatيُلْقِىthe Shaitaan throwsٱلشَّيْطَٰنُthe Shaitaan throwsفِتْنَةًa trialلِّلَّذِينَfor thoseفِىinقُلُوبِهِمtheir heartsمَّرَضٌ(is) a diseaseوَٱلْقَاسِيَةِand (are) hardenedقُلُوبُهُمْtheir heartsوَإِنَّAnd indeedٱلظَّٰلِمِينَthe wrongdoersلَفِى(are) surely, inشِقَاقٍۢschismبَعِيدٍfar53
وَلِيَعْلَمَAnd that may knowٱلَّذِينَthose whoأُوتُوا۟have been givenٱلْعِلْمَthe knowledgeأَنَّهُthat itٱلْحَقُّ(is) the truthمِنfromرَّبِّكَyour Lordفَيُؤْمِنُوا۟and they believeبِهِۦin itفَتُخْبِتَand may humbly submitلَهُۥto itقُلُوبُهُمْtheir heartsوَإِنَّAnd indeedٱللَّهَAllahلَهَادِ(is) surely (the) Guideٱلَّذِينَ(of) those whoءَامَنُوٓا۟believeإِلَىٰtoصِرَٰطٍa PathمُّسْتَقِيمٍStraight54
وَلَاAnd notيَزَالُwill ceaseٱلَّذِينَthose whoكَفَرُوا۟disbelieveفِى(to be) inمِرْيَةٍdoubtمِّنْهُof itحَتَّىٰuntilتَأْتِيَهُمُcomes to themٱلسَّاعَةُthe Hourبَغْتَةًsuddenlyأَوْorيَأْتِيَهُمْcomes to themعَذَابُ(the) punishmentيَوْمٍ(of) a Dayعَقِيمٍbarren55
ٱلْمُلْكُThe Sovereigntyيَوْمَئِذٍ(on) that Dayلِّلَّهِ(will be) for AllahيَحْكُمُHe will judgeبَيْنَهُمْbetween themفَٱلَّذِينَSo those whoءَامَنُوا۟believeوَعَمِلُوا۟and didٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِrighteous deedsفِى(will be) inجَنَّٰتِGardensٱلنَّعِيمِ(of) Delight56
وَٱلَّذِينَAnd those whoكَفَرُوا۟disbelievedوَكَذَّبُوا۟and deniedبِـَٔايَٰتِنَاOur Versesفَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَthen thoseلَهُمْfor themعَذَابٌ(will be) a punishmentمُّهِينٌhumiliating57
وَٱلَّذِينَAnd those whoهَاجَرُوا۟emigratedفِىinسَبِيلِ(the) wayٱللَّهِ(of) Allahثُمَّthenقُتِلُوٓا۟were killedأَوْorمَاتُوا۟diedلَيَرْزُقَنَّهُمُsurely, Allah will provide themٱللَّهُsurely, Allah will provide themرِزْقًاa provisionحَسَنًاgoodوَإِنَّAnd indeedٱللَّهَAllahلَهُوَsurely, Heخَيْرُ(is the) Bestٱلرَّٰزِقِينَ(of) the Providers58
لَيُدْخِلَنَّهُمSurely, He will admit themمُّدْخَلًا(to) an entranceيَرْضَوْنَهُۥthey will be pleased (with) itوَإِنَّAnd indeedٱللَّهَAllahلَعَلِيمٌsurely, (is) All-KnowingحَلِيمٌMost Forbearing59
ذَٰلِكَThatوَمَنْand whoeverعَاقَبَhas retaliatedبِمِثْلِwith the likeمَا(of) thatعُوقِبَhe was made to sufferبِهِۦby itثُمَّthenبُغِىَhe was oppressedعَلَيْهِ[on him]لَيَنصُرَنَّهُAllah will surely help himٱللَّهُAllah will surely help himإِنَّIndeedٱللَّهَAllahلَعَفُوٌّ(is) surely Oft-PardoningغَفُورٌOft-Forgiving60
ذَٰلِكَThatبِأَنَّ(is) becauseٱللَّهَAllahيُولِجُcauses to enterٱلَّيْلَthe nightفِىin (to)ٱلنَّهَارِthe dayوَيُولِجُand causes to enterٱلنَّهَارَthe dayفِىin (to)ٱلَّيْلِthe nightوَأَنَّAnd indeedٱللَّهَAllahسَمِيعٌۢ(is) All-HearerبَصِيرٌAll-Seer61
ذَٰلِكَThat (is)بِأَنَّbecauseٱللَّهَAllahهُوَHeٱلْحَقُّ(is) the Truthوَأَنَّand thatمَاwhatيَدْعُونَthey invokeمِنbesides Himدُونِهِۦbesides Himهُوَitٱلْبَٰطِلُ(is) the falsehoodوَأَنَّAnd thatٱللَّهَAllahهُوَHeٱلْعَلِىُّ(is) the Most Highٱلْكَبِيرُthe Most Great62
أَلَمْDo notتَرَyou seeأَنَّthatٱللَّهَAllahأَنزَلَsends downمِنَfromٱلسَّمَآءِthe skyمَآءًwaterفَتُصْبِحُthen becomesٱلْأَرْضُthe earthمُخْضَرَّةًgreenإِنَّIndeedٱللَّهَAllahلَطِيفٌ(is) surely SubtleخَبِيرٌAll-Aware63
لَّهُۥFor Himمَا(is) whateverفِى(is) inٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِthe heavensوَمَاand whateverفِى(is) inٱلْأَرْضِthe earthوَإِنَّAnd indeedٱللَّهَAllahلَهُوَsurely, Heٱلْغَنِىُّ(is) Free of needٱلْحَمِيدُthe Praiseworthy64
أَلَمْDo notتَرَyou seeأَنَّthatٱللَّهَAllahسَخَّرَ(has) subjectedلَكُمto youمَّاwhatفِى(is) inٱلْأَرْضِthe earthوَٱلْفُلْكَand the shipsتَجْرِىthat sailفِىthroughٱلْبَحْرِthe seaبِأَمْرِهِۦby His CommandوَيُمْسِكُAnd He withholdsٱلسَّمَآءَthe skyأَنlestتَقَعَit fallsعَلَىonٱلْأَرْضِthe earthإِلَّاexceptبِإِذْنِهِۦٓby His permissionإِنَّIndeedٱللَّهَAllahبِٱلنَّاسِto mankindلَرَءُوفٌ(is) Full of KindnessرَّحِيمٌMost Merciful65
وَهُوَAnd Heٱلَّذِىٓ(is) the One Whoأَحْيَاكُمْgave you lifeثُمَّthenيُمِيتُكُمْHe will cause you to dieثُمَّthenيُحْيِيكُمْHe will give you life (again)إِنَّIndeedٱلْإِنسَٰنَmanلَكَفُورٌ(is) surely ungrateful66
لِّكُلِّFor everyأُمَّةٍnationجَعَلْنَاWe have madeمَنسَكًاrite(s)هُمْtheyنَاسِكُوهُperform itفَلَاSo let them not dispute with youيُنَٰزِعُنَّكَSo let them not dispute with youفِىinٱلْأَمْرِthe matterوَٱدْعُbut invite (them)إِلَىٰtoرَبِّكَyour LordإِنَّكَIndeed, youلَعَلَىٰ(are) surely onهُدًىguidanceمُّسْتَقِيمٍstraight67
وَإِنAnd ifجَٰدَلُوكَthey argue (with) youفَقُلِthen sayٱللَّهُAllahأَعْلَمُ(is) most knowingبِمَاof whatتَعْمَلُونَyou do68
ٱللَّهُAllahيَحْكُمُwill judgeبَيْنَكُمْbetween youيَوْمَ(on the) Dayٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ(of) the Resurrectionفِيمَاconcerning whatكُنتُمْyou used (to)فِيهِin itتَخْتَلِفُونَdiffer69
أَلَمْDo notتَعْلَمْyou knowأَنَّthatٱللَّهَAllahيَعْلَمُknowsمَاwhatفِى(is) inٱلسَّمَآءِthe heavenوَٱلْأَرْضِand the earthإِنَّIndeedذَٰلِكَthatفِى(is) inكِتَٰبٍa Recordإِنَّindeedذَٰلِكَthatعَلَى(is) forٱللَّهِAllahيَسِيرٌeasy70
وَيَعْبُدُونَAnd they worshipمِنbesides Allahدُونِbesides Allahٱللَّهِbesides AllahمَاwhatلَمْnotيُنَزِّلْHe (has) sent downبِهِۦfor itسُلْطَٰنًاany authorityوَمَاand whatلَيْسَnotلَهُمthey haveبِهِۦof itعِلْمٌany knowledgeوَمَاAnd notلِلظَّٰلِمِينَ(will be) for the wrongdoersمِنanyنَّصِيرٍhelper71
وَإِذَاAnd whenتُتْلَىٰare recitedعَلَيْهِمْto themءَايَٰتُنَاOur Versesبَيِّنَٰتٍclearتَعْرِفُyou will recognizeفِىonوُجُوهِ(the) facesٱلَّذِينَ(of) those whoكَفَرُوا۟disbelieveٱلْمُنكَرَthe denialيَكَادُونَThey almostيَسْطُونَattackبِٱلَّذِينَthose whoيَتْلُونَreciteعَلَيْهِمْto themءَايَٰتِنَاOur VersesقُلْSayأَفَأُنَبِّئُكُمThen shall I inform youبِشَرٍّof worseمِّنthanذَٰلِكُمُthatٱلنَّارُThe FireوَعَدَهَاAllah (has) promised itٱللَّهُAllah (has) promised itٱلَّذِينَ(for) those whoكَفَرُوا۟disbelieveوَبِئْسَand wretchedٱلْمَصِيرُ(is) the destination72
يَٰٓأَيُّهَاO mankindٱلنَّاسُO mankindضُرِبَIs set forthمَثَلٌan exampleفَٱسْتَمِعُوا۟so listenلَهُۥٓto itإِنَّIndeedٱلَّذِينَthose whomتَدْعُونَyou invokeمِنbesides Allahدُونِbesides Allahٱللَّهِbesides Allahلَنwill neverيَخْلُقُوا۟createذُبَابًاa flyوَلَوِeven ifٱجْتَمَعُوا۟they gathered togetherلَهُۥfor itوَإِنAnd ifيَسْلُبْهُمُsnatched away from themٱلذُّبَابُthe flyشَيْـًٔاa thingلَّاnotيَسْتَنقِذُوهُthey (could) take it backمِنْهُfrom itضَعُفَSo weakٱلطَّالِبُ(are) the seekerوَٱلْمَطْلُوبُand the one who is sought73
مَاNotقَدَرُوا۟they (have) estimatedٱللَّهَAllahحَقَّ(with) dueقَدْرِهِۦٓ[His] estimationإِنَّIndeedٱللَّهَAllahلَقَوِىٌّ(is) surely All-StrongعَزِيزٌAll-Mighty74
ٱللَّهُAllahيَصْطَفِىchoosesمِنَfromٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِthe AngelsرُسُلًاMessengersوَمِنَand fromٱلنَّاسِthe mankindإِنَّIndeedٱللَّهَAllahسَمِيعٌۢ(is) All-HearerبَصِيرٌAll-Seer75
يَعْلَمُHe knowsمَاwhatبَيْنَ(is) before themأَيْدِيهِمْ(is) before themوَمَاand whatخَلْفَهُمْ(is) after themوَإِلَىAnd toٱللَّهِAllahتُرْجَعُreturnٱلْأُمُورُall the matters76
يَٰٓأَيُّهَاO you who believeٱلَّذِينَO you who believeءَامَنُوا۟O you who believeٱرْكَعُوا۟Bowوَٱسْجُدُوا۟and prostrateوَٱعْبُدُوا۟and worshipرَبَّكُمْyour Lordوَٱفْعَلُوا۟and doٱلْخَيْرَ[the] goodلَعَلَّكُمْso that you mayتُفْلِحُونَbe successful77
وَجَٰهِدُوا۟And striveفِىforٱللَّهِAllahحَقَّ(with the) striving due (to) Himجِهَادِهِۦ(with the) striving due (to) HimهُوَHeٱجْتَبَىٰكُمْ(has) chosen youوَمَاand notجَعَلَplacedعَلَيْكُمْupon youفِىinٱلدِّينِthe religionمِنْanyحَرَجٍdifficultyمِّلَّةَ(The) religionأَبِيكُمْ(of) your fatherإِبْرَٰهِيمَIbrahimهُوَHeسَمَّىٰكُمُnamed youٱلْمُسْلِمِينَMuslimsمِنbeforeقَبْلُbeforeوَفِىand inهَٰذَاthisلِيَكُونَthat may beٱلرَّسُولُthe Messengerشَهِيدًاa witnessعَلَيْكُمْover youوَتَكُونُوا۟and you may beشُهَدَآءَwitnessesعَلَىonٱلنَّاسِthe mankindفَأَقِيمُوا۟So establishٱلصَّلَوٰةَthe prayerوَءَاتُوا۟and giveٱلزَّكَوٰةَzakahوَٱعْتَصِمُوا۟and hold fastبِٱللَّهِto AllahهُوَHeمَوْلَىٰكُمْ(is) your Protector فَنِعْمَso an Excellentٱلْمَوْلَىٰ[the] Protectorوَنِعْمَand an Excellentٱلنَّصِيرُ[the] Helper78
