إِنَّمَاOnlyٱلسَّبِيلُthe way (blame)عَلَى(is) onٱلَّذِينَthose whoيَسْتَـْٔذِنُونَكَask your permissionوَهُمْwhile theyأَغْنِيَآءُ(are) richرَضُوا۟They (are) satisfiedبِأَنtoيَكُونُوا۟beمَعَwithٱلْخَوَالِفِthose who stay behindوَطَبَعَand Allah sealedٱللَّهُand Allah sealedعَلَىٰ[on]قُلُوبِهِمْtheir heartsفَهُمْso theyلَا(do) notيَعْلَمُونَknow93
يَعْتَذِرُونَThey will make excusesإِلَيْكُمْto youإِذَاwhenرَجَعْتُمْyou (have) returnedإِلَيْهِمْto themقُلSayلَّا(Do) notتَعْتَذِرُوا۟make excuseلَنneverنُّؤْمِنَwe will believeلَكُمْyouقَدْVerilyنَبَّأَنَاAllah (has) informed usٱللَّهُAllah (has) informed usمِنْofأَخْبَارِكُمْyour newsوَسَيَرَىand Allah will seeٱللَّهُand Allah will seeعَمَلَكُمْyour deedsوَرَسُولُهُۥand His MessengerثُمَّThenتُرَدُّونَyou will be brought backإِلَىٰtoعَٰلِمِ(the) Knowerٱلْغَيْبِ(of) the unseenوَٱلشَّهَٰدَةِand the seenفَيُنَبِّئُكُمthen He will inform youبِمَاof whatكُنتُمْyou used (to)تَعْمَلُونَdo94
سَيَحْلِفُونَThey will swearبِٱللَّهِby Allahلَكُمْto youإِذَاwhenٱنقَلَبْتُمْyou returnedإِلَيْهِمْto themلِتُعْرِضُوا۟that you may turn awayعَنْهُمْfrom themفَأَعْرِضُوا۟So turn awayعَنْهُمْfrom themإِنَّهُمْindeed, theyرِجْسٌ(are) impureوَمَأْوَىٰهُمْand their abodeجَهَنَّمُ(is) Hellجَزَآءًۢa recompenseبِمَاfor whatكَانُوا۟they used (to)يَكْسِبُونَearn95
يَحْلِفُونَThey swearلَكُمْto youلِتَرْضَوْا۟that you may be pleasedعَنْهُمْwith themفَإِنBut ifتَرْضَوْا۟you are pleasedعَنْهُمْwith themفَإِنَّthen indeedٱللَّهَAllahلَا(is) not pleasedيَرْضَىٰ(is) not pleasedعَنِwithٱلْقَوْمِthe peopleٱلْفَٰسِقِينَ(who are) defiantly disobedient96
ٱلْأَعْرَابُThe bedouinsأَشَدُّ(are) strongerكُفْرًا(in) disbeliefوَنِفَاقًاand hypocrisyوَأَجْدَرُand more likelyأَلَّاthat notيَعْلَمُوا۟they knowحُدُودَ(the) limitsمَآ(of) whatأَنزَلَAllah (has) revealedٱللَّهُAllah (has) revealedعَلَىٰtoرَسُولِهِۦHis MessengerوَٱللَّهُAnd Allahعَلِيمٌ(is) All-KnowerحَكِيمٌAll-Wise97
وَمِنَAnd amongٱلْأَعْرَابِthe bedouinsمَن(is he) whoيَتَّخِذُtakesمَاwhatيُنفِقُhe spendsمَغْرَمًا(as) a lossوَيَتَرَبَّصُand he awaitsبِكُمُfor youٱلدَّوَآئِرَthe turns (of misfortune)عَلَيْهِمْUpon themدَآئِرَةُ(will be) the turnٱلسَّوْءِ(of) the evilوَٱللَّهُAnd Allahسَمِيعٌ(is) All-HearerعَلِيمٌAll-Knower98
وَمِنَBut amongٱلْأَعْرَابِthe bedouinsمَن(is he) whoيُؤْمِنُbelievesبِٱللَّهِin Allahوَٱلْيَوْمِand the Dayٱلْءَاخِرِthe Lastوَيَتَّخِذُand takesمَاwhatيُنفِقُhe spendsقُرُبَٰتٍ(as) means of nearnessعِندَwithٱللَّهِAllahوَصَلَوَٰتِand blessingsٱلرَّسُولِ(of) the MessengerأَلَآBeholdإِنَّهَاIndeed, itقُرْبَةٌ(is) a means of nearnessلَّهُمْfor themسَيُدْخِلُهُمُAllah will admit themٱللَّهُAllah will admit themفِىtoرَحْمَتِهِۦٓHis MercyإِنَّIndeedٱللَّهَAllahغَفُورٌ(is) Oft-ForgivingرَّحِيمٌMost Merciful99
وَٱلسَّٰبِقُونَAnd the forerunnersٱلْأَوَّلُونَthe firstمِنَamongٱلْمُهَٰجِرِينَthe emigrantsوَٱلْأَنصَارِand the helpersوَٱلَّذِينَand those whoٱتَّبَعُوهُمfollowed themبِإِحْسَٰنٍin righteousnessرَّضِىَAllah is pleasedٱللَّهُAllah is pleasedعَنْهُمْwith themوَرَضُوا۟and they are pleasedعَنْهُwith HimوَأَعَدَّAnd He has preparedلَهُمْfor themجَنَّٰتٍGardensتَجْرِىflowsتَحْتَهَاunderneath itٱلْأَنْهَٰرُthe riversخَٰلِدِينَwill abideفِيهَآin itأَبَدًاforeverذَٰلِكَThatٱلْفَوْزُ(is) the successٱلْعَظِيمُthe great100
وَمِمَّنْAnd among thoseحَوْلَكُمaround youمِّنَofٱلْأَعْرَابِthe bedouinsمُنَٰفِقُونَ(are) hypocritesوَمِنْand (also) fromأَهْلِpeopleٱلْمَدِينَةِ(of) the Madinahمَرَدُوا۟They persistعَلَىinٱلنِّفَاقِthe hypocrisyلَاnotتَعْلَمُهُمْyou know themنَحْنُWeنَعْلَمُهُمْ[We] know themسَنُعَذِّبُهُمWe will punish themمَّرَّتَيْنِtwiceثُمَّthenيُرَدُّونَthey will be returnedإِلَىٰtoعَذَابٍa punishmentعَظِيمٍgreat101
وَءَاخَرُونَAnd othersٱعْتَرَفُوا۟(who have) acknowledgedبِذُنُوبِهِمْtheir sinsخَلَطُوا۟They had mixedعَمَلًاa deedصَٰلِحًاrighteousوَءَاخَرَ(with) otherسَيِّئًا(that was) evilعَسَىPerhapsٱللَّهُAllahأَن[that]يَتُوبَwill turn (in mercy)عَلَيْهِمْto themإِنَّIndeedٱللَّهَAllahغَفُورٌ(is) Oft-ForgivingرَّحِيمٌMost Merciful102
خُذْTakeمِنْfromأَمْوَٰلِهِمْtheir wealthصَدَقَةًa charityتُطَهِّرُهُمْpurifying themوَتُزَكِّيهِمand cause them increaseبِهَاby itوَصَلِّand blessعَلَيْهِمْ[upon] themإِنَّIndeedصَلَوٰتَكَyour blessingsسَكَنٌ(are a) reassuranceلَّهُمْfor themوَٱللَّهُAnd Allahسَمِيعٌ(is) All-HearerعَلِيمٌAll-Knower103
أَلَمْDo notيَعْلَمُوٓا۟they knowأَنَّthatٱللَّهَAllahهُوَ(is) Heيَقْبَلُ(Who) acceptsٱلتَّوْبَةَthe repentanceعَنْfromعِبَادِهِۦHis slavesوَيَأْخُذُand takesٱلصَّدَقَٰتِthe charitiesوَأَنَّand thatٱللَّهَAllahهُوَHeٱلتَّوَّابُ(is) the Acceptor of repentanceٱلرَّحِيمُthe Most Merciful104
وَقُلِAnd sayٱعْمَلُوا۟Doفَسَيَرَىthen Allah will seeٱللَّهُthen Allah will seeعَمَلَكُمْyour deedوَرَسُولُهُۥand His Messengerوَٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَand the believersوَسَتُرَدُّونَAnd you will be brought backإِلَىٰtoعَٰلِمِ(the) Knowerٱلْغَيْبِ(of) the unseenوَٱلشَّهَٰدَةِand the seenفَيُنَبِّئُكُمthen He will inform youبِمَاof whatكُنتُمْyou used (to)تَعْمَلُونَdo105
وَءَاخَرُونَAnd othersمُرْجَوْنَdeferredلِأَمْرِfor the Command of Allah ٱللَّهِfor the Command of Allah إِمَّاwhetherيُعَذِّبُهُمْHe will punish themوَإِمَّاorيَتُوبُHe will turn (in mercy)عَلَيْهِمْto themوَٱللَّهُAnd Allahعَلِيمٌ(is) All-KnowerحَكِيمٌAll-Wise106
وَٱلَّذِينَAnd those whoٱتَّخَذُوا۟takeمَسْجِدًاa masjidضِرَارًا(for causing) harmوَكُفْرًاand (for) disbeliefوَتَفْرِيقًۢاand (for) divisionبَيْنَamongٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَthe believersوَإِرْصَادًاand (as) a stationلِّمَنْfor whoeverحَارَبَwarredٱللَّهَ(against) Allahوَرَسُولَهُۥand His MessengerمِنbeforeقَبْلُbeforeوَلَيَحْلِفُنَّAnd surely they will swearإِنْNotأَرَدْنَآwe wishإِلَّاexceptٱلْحُسْنَىٰthe goodوَٱللَّهُBut Allahيَشْهَدُbears witnessإِنَّهُمْindeed, theyلَكَٰذِبُونَ(are) surely liars107
لَا(Do) notتَقُمْstandفِيهِin itأَبَدًاeverلَّمَسْجِدٌA masjidأُسِّسَfoundedعَلَىonٱلتَّقْوَىٰthe righteousnessمِنْfromأَوَّلِ(the) firstيَوْمٍdayأَحَقُّ(is) more worthyأَنthatتَقُومَyou standفِيهِin itفِيهِWithin itرِجَالٌ(are) menيُحِبُّونَwho loveأَنtoيَتَطَهَّرُوا۟purify themselvesوَٱللَّهُand Allahيُحِبُّlovesٱلْمُطَّهِّرِينَthe ones who purify themselves108
أَفَمَنْThen is (one) whoأَسَّسَfoundedبُنْيَٰنَهُۥhis buildingعَلَىٰonتَقْوَىٰrighteousnessمِنَfromٱللَّهِAllahوَرِضْوَٰنٍand (His) pleasureخَيْرٌbetterأَمorمَّنْ(one) whoأَسَّسَfoundedبُنْيَٰنَهُۥhis buildingعَلَىٰonشَفَاedgeجُرُفٍ(of) a cliffهَارٍ(about to) collapseفَٱنْهَارَso it collapsedبِهِۦwith himفِىinنَارِ(the) Fireجَهَنَّمَ(of) HellوَٱللَّهُAnd Allahلَا(does) notيَهْدِىguideٱلْقَوْمَthe wrongdoing peopleٱلظَّٰلِمِينَthe wrongdoing people109
لَاNotيَزَالُ(will) ceaseبُنْيَٰنُهُمُtheir buildingٱلَّذِىwhichبَنَوْا۟they builtرِيبَةًa (cause of) doubtفِىinقُلُوبِهِمْtheir heartsإِلَّآexceptأَنthatتَقَطَّعَ(are) cut into piecesقُلُوبُهُمْtheir heartsوَٱللَّهُAnd Allahعَلِيمٌ(is) All-KnowerحَكِيمٌAll-Wise110
إِنَّIndeedٱللَّهَAllahٱشْتَرَىٰ(has) purchasedمِنَfromٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَthe believersأَنفُسَهُمْtheir livesوَأَمْوَٰلَهُمand their wealthبِأَنَّbecauseلَهُمُfor themٱلْجَنَّةَ(is) ParadiseيُقَٰتِلُونَThey fightفِىinسَبِيلِ(the) wayٱللَّهِ(of) Allahفَيَقْتُلُونَthey slayوَيُقْتَلُونَand they are slainوَعْدًاA promiseعَلَيْهِupon Himحَقًّاtrueفِىinٱلتَّوْرَىٰةِthe Tauratوَٱلْإِنجِيلِand the Injeelوَٱلْقُرْءَانِand the QuranوَمَنْAnd whoأَوْفَىٰ(is) more faithfulبِعَهْدِهِۦto his promiseمِنَthanٱللَّهِAllahفَٱسْتَبْشِرُوا۟So rejoiceبِبَيْعِكُمُin your transactionٱلَّذِىwhichبَايَعْتُمyou have contractedبِهِۦ[with it]وَذَٰلِكَAnd thatهُوَitٱلْفَوْزُ(is) the successٱلْعَظِيمُthe great111
ٱلتَّٰٓئِبُونَThose who turn in repentanceٱلْعَٰبِدُونَthose who worshipٱلْحَٰمِدُونَthose who praiseٱلسَّٰٓئِحُونَthose who go outٱلرَّٰكِعُونَthose who bow downٱلسَّٰجِدُونَthose who prostrateٱلْءَامِرُونَthose who enjoinبِٱلْمَعْرُوفِthe rightوَٱلنَّاهُونَand those who forbidعَنِ[on]ٱلْمُنكَرِthe wrongوَٱلْحَٰفِظُونَand those who observeلِحُدُودِ(the) limitsٱللَّهِ(of) AllahوَبَشِّرِAnd give glad tidingsٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ(to) the believers112
مَاNotكَانَ(it) isلِلنَّبِىِّfor the Prophetوَٱلَّذِينَand those whoءَامَنُوٓا۟believeأَنthatيَسْتَغْفِرُوا۟they ask forgivenessلِلْمُشْرِكِينَfor the polytheistsوَلَوْeven thoughكَانُوٓا۟they beأُو۟لِىnear of kinقُرْبَىٰnear of kinمِنۢafterبَعْدِafterمَا[what]تَبَيَّنَhas become clearلَهُمْto themأَنَّهُمْthat theyأَصْحَٰبُ(are the) companionsٱلْجَحِيمِ(of) the Hellfire113
وَمَاAnd notكَانَwasٱسْتِغْفَارُ(the) asking of forgivenessإِبْرَٰهِيمَ(by) Ibrahimلِأَبِيهِfor his fatherإِلَّاexceptعَنbecauseمَّوْعِدَةٍ(of) a promiseوَعَدَهَآhe had promised itإِيَّاهُ(to) himفَلَمَّاBut whenتَبَيَّنَit became clearلَهُۥٓto himأَنَّهُۥthat heعَدُوٌّ(was) an enemyلِّلَّهِto Allahتَبَرَّأَhe disassociatedمِنْهُfrom himإِنَّIndeedإِبْرَٰهِيمَIbrahimلَأَوَّٰهٌ(was) compassionateحَلِيمٌforbearing114
وَمَاAnd notكَانَisٱللَّهُ(for) Allahلِيُضِلَّthat He lets go astrayقَوْمًۢاa peopleبَعْدَafterإِذْ[when]هَدَىٰهُمْHe has guided themحَتَّىٰuntilيُبَيِّنَHe makes clearلَهُمto themمَّاwhatيَتَّقُونَthey should fearإِنَّIndeedٱللَّهَAllahبِكُلِّ(of) everyشَىْءٍthingعَلِيمٌ(is) All-Knower115
إِنَّIndeedٱللَّهَAllahلَهُۥto Him (belongs)مُلْكُthe dominionٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ(of) the heavensوَٱلْأَرْضِand the earthيُحْىِۦHe gives lifeوَيُمِيتُand He causes deathوَمَاAnd notلَكُمfor youمِّنbesides Allahدُونِbesides Allahٱللَّهِbesides Allahمِنanyوَلِىٍّprotectorوَلَاand notنَصِيرٍany helper116
لَّقَدVerilyتَّابَAllah turned (in mercy)ٱللَّهُAllah turned (in mercy)عَلَىtoٱلنَّبِىِّthe Prophetوَٱلْمُهَٰجِرِينَand the emigrantsوَٱلْأَنصَارِand the helpersٱلَّذِينَ[those] whoٱتَّبَعُوهُfollowed himفِىinسَاعَةِ(the) hourٱلْعُسْرَةِ(of) difficultyمِنۢafterبَعْدِafterمَا[what]كَادَhad nearlyيَزِيغُdeviatedقُلُوبُ(the) heartsفَرِيقٍ(of) a partyمِّنْهُمْof themثُمَّthenتَابَHe turned (in mercy)عَلَيْهِمْto themإِنَّهُۥIndeed, Heبِهِمْto themرَءُوفٌ(is) Most KindرَّحِيمٌMost Merciful117
وَعَلَىAnd onٱلثَّلَٰثَةِthe threeٱلَّذِينَ(of) those whoخُلِّفُوا۟were left behindحَتَّىٰٓuntilإِذَاwhenضَاقَتْ(was) straitenedعَلَيْهِمُfor themٱلْأَرْضُthe earthبِمَاthoughرَحُبَتْit was vastوَضَاقَتْAnd (was) straitenedعَلَيْهِمْfor themأَنفُسُهُمْtheir own soulsوَظَنُّوٓا۟and they were certainأَنthatلَّا(there is) noمَلْجَأَrefugeمِنَfromٱللَّهِAllahإِلَّآexceptإِلَيْهِto HimثُمَّThenتَابَHe turned (in mercy)عَلَيْهِمْto themلِيَتُوبُوٓا۟that they may repentإِنَّIndeedٱللَّهَAllahهُوَHeٱلتَّوَّابُ(is) the Acceptor of repentanceٱلرَّحِيمُthe Most Merciful118
يَٰٓأَيُّهَاO you who believeٱلَّذِينَO you who believeءَامَنُوا۟O you who believeٱتَّقُوا۟FearٱللَّهَAllahوَكُونُوا۟and beمَعَwithٱلصَّٰدِقِينَthose who are truthful119
مَاNotكَانَit wasلِأَهْلِ(for) the peopleٱلْمَدِينَةِof the Madinahوَمَنْand whoحَوْلَهُمwere around themمِّنَofٱلْأَعْرَابِthe bedouinsأَنthatيَتَخَلَّفُوا۟they remain behindعَنafterرَّسُولِthe Messengerٱللَّهِof Allahوَلَاand notيَرْغَبُوا۟they preferبِأَنفُسِهِمْtheir livesعَنtoنَّفْسِهِۦhis lifeذَٰلِكَThat isبِأَنَّهُمْbecause [they]لَا(does) notيُصِيبُهُمْafflict themظَمَأٌthirstوَلَاand notنَصَبٌfatigueوَلَاand notمَخْمَصَةٌhungerفِىinسَبِيلِ(the) wayٱللَّهِ(of) Allahوَلَاand notيَطَـُٔونَthey stepمَوْطِئًاany stepيَغِيظُthat angersٱلْكُفَّارَthe disbelieversوَلَاand notيَنَالُونَthey inflictمِنْonعَدُوٍّan enemyنَّيْلًاan inflictionإِلَّاexceptكُتِبَis recordedلَهُمfor themبِهِۦin itعَمَلٌ(as) a deedصَٰلِحٌrighteousإِنَّIndeedٱللَّهَAllahلَا(does) notيُضِيعُallow to be lostأَجْرَthe rewardٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ(of) the good-doers120
وَلَاAnd notيُنفِقُونَthey spendنَفَقَةًany spendingصَغِيرَةًsmallوَلَاand notكَبِيرَةًbigوَلَاand notيَقْطَعُونَthey crossوَادِيًاa valleyإِلَّاbutكُتِبَis recordedلَهُمْfor themلِيَجْزِيَهُمُthat Allah may reward themٱللَّهُthat Allah may reward themأَحْسَنَthe bestمَا(of) whatكَانُوا۟they used (to)يَعْمَلُونَdo121
وَمَاAnd notكَانَisٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ(for) the believersلِيَنفِرُوا۟that they go forthكَآفَّةًall togetherفَلَوْلَاSo if notنَفَرَgo forthمِنfromكُلِّeveryفِرْقَةٍgroupمِّنْهُمْamong themطَآئِفَةٌa partyلِّيَتَفَقَّهُوا۟that they may obtain understandingفِىinٱلدِّينِthe religionوَلِيُنذِرُوا۟and that they may warnقَوْمَهُمْtheir peopleإِذَاwhenرَجَعُوٓا۟they returnإِلَيْهِمْto themلَعَلَّهُمْso that they mayيَحْذَرُونَbeware122
يَٰٓأَيُّهَاO you who believeٱلَّذِينَO you who believeءَامَنُوا۟O you who believeقَٰتِلُوا۟Fightٱلَّذِينَthose whoيَلُونَكُم(are) close to youمِّنَofٱلْكُفَّارِthe disbelieversوَلْيَجِدُوا۟and let them findفِيكُمْin youغِلْظَةًharshnessوَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟And knowأَنَّthatٱللَّهَAllahمَعَ(is) withٱلْمُتَّقِينَthose who fear (Him)123
وَإِذَاAnd wheneverمَآAnd wheneverأُنزِلَتْis revealedسُورَةٌa Surahفَمِنْهُمamong themمَّن(are some) whoيَقُولُsayأَيُّكُمْWhich of youزَادَتْهُ(has) increased [it]هَٰذِهِۦٓ(by) thisإِيمَٰنًا(in) faithفَأَمَّاAs forٱلَّذِينَthose whoءَامَنُوا۟believeفَزَادَتْهُمْthen it has increased themإِيمَٰنًا(in) faithوَهُمْand theyيَسْتَبْشِرُونَrejoice124
وَأَمَّاBut as forٱلَّذِينَthoseفِىinقُلُوبِهِمtheir heartsمَّرَضٌ(is) a diseaseفَزَادَتْهُمْ(it) increases themرِجْسًا(in) evilإِلَىٰtoرِجْسِهِمْtheir evilوَمَاتُوا۟And they dieوَهُمْwhile theyكَٰفِرُونَ(are) disbelievers125
أَوَلَاDo notيَرَوْنَthey seeأَنَّهُمْthat theyيُفْتَنُونَare triedفِى[in]كُلِّeveryعَامٍyearمَّرَّةًonceأَوْorمَرَّتَيْنِtwiceثُمَّYetلَاnotيَتُوبُونَthey turn (in repentance)وَلَاand notهُمْtheyيَذَّكَّرُونَpay heed126
وَإِذَاAnd wheneverمَآAnd wheneverأُنزِلَتْis revealedسُورَةٌa Surahنَّظَرَlookبَعْضُهُمْsome of themإِلَىٰtoبَعْضٍothersهَلْDoesيَرَىٰكُمsee youمِّنْanyأَحَدٍoneثُمَّThenٱنصَرَفُوا۟they turn awayصَرَفَAllah has turned awayٱللَّهُAllah has turned awayقُلُوبَهُمtheir heartsبِأَنَّهُمْbecause theyقَوْمٌ(are) a peopleلَّاnotيَفْقَهُونَthey understand127
لَقَدْCertainlyجَآءَكُمْ(has) come to youرَسُولٌa MessengerمِّنْfromأَنفُسِكُمْyourselvesعَزِيزٌGrievousعَلَيْهِto himمَا(is) whatعَنِتُّمْyou sufferحَرِيصٌ(he is) concernedعَلَيْكُمover youبِٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَto the believersرَءُوفٌ(he is) kindرَّحِيمٌ(and) merciful128
فَإِنBut ifتَوَلَّوْا۟they turn awayفَقُلْthen sayحَسْبِىَSufficient for meٱللَّهُ(is) Allahلَآ(There is) noإِلَٰهَgodإِلَّاexceptهُوَHimعَلَيْهِOn HimتَوَكَّلْتُI put my trustوَهُوَAnd Heرَبُّ(is the) Lordٱلْعَرْشِ(of) the Throneٱلْعَظِيمِthe Great129

أَكَانَIs itلِلنَّاسِfor the mankindعَجَبًاa wonderأَنْthatأَوْحَيْنَآWe revealedإِلَىٰtoرَجُلٍa manمِّنْهُمْfrom (among) themأَنْthatأَنذِرِWarnٱلنَّاسَthe mankindوَبَشِّرِand give glad tidingsٱلَّذِينَ(to) those whoءَامَنُوٓا۟believeأَنَّthatلَهُمْfor themقَدَمَ(will be) a respectable positionصِدْقٍ(will be) a respectable positionعِندَnearرَبِّهِمْtheir LordقَالَSaidٱلْكَٰفِرُونَthe disbelieversإِنَّIndeedهَٰذَاthisلَسَٰحِرٌ(is) surely a magicianمُّبِينٌobvious2
إِنَّIndeedرَبَّكُمُyour Lordٱللَّهُ(is) Allahٱلَّذِىthe One Whoخَلَقَcreatedٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِthe heavensوَٱلْأَرْضَand the earthفِىinسِتَّةِsixأَيَّامٍperiodsثُمَّthenٱسْتَوَىٰHe establishedعَلَىonٱلْعَرْشِthe Throneيُدَبِّرُdisposingٱلْأَمْرَthe affairsمَاNotمِن(is) any intercessorشَفِيعٍ(is) any intercessorإِلَّاexceptمِنۢafterبَعْدِafterإِذْنِهِۦHis permissionذَٰلِكُمُThatٱللَّهُ(is) Allahرَبُّكُمْyour Lordفَٱعْبُدُوهُso worship HimأَفَلَاThen will notتَذَكَّرُونَyou remember3
إِلَيْهِTo Himمَرْجِعُكُمْ(will be) your returnجَمِيعًا[all]وَعْدَPromiseٱللَّهِ(of) Allahحَقًّا(is) trueإِنَّهُۥIndeed, Heيَبْدَؤُا۟originatesٱلْخَلْقَthe creationثُمَّthenيُعِيدُهُۥHe repeats itلِيَجْزِىَthat He may rewardٱلَّذِينَthose whoءَامَنُوا۟believedوَعَمِلُوا۟and didٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِthe good deedsبِٱلْقِسْطِin justiceوَٱلَّذِينَBut those whoكَفَرُوا۟disbelievedلَهُمْfor themشَرَابٌ(will be) a drinkمِّنْofحَمِيمٍboiling fluidsوَعَذَابٌand a punishmentأَلِيمٌۢpainfulبِمَاbecauseكَانُوا۟they used (to)يَكْفُرُونَdisbelieve4
هُوَHeٱلَّذِى(is) the One Whoجَعَلَmadeٱلشَّمْسَthe sunضِيَآءًa shining lightوَٱلْقَمَرَand the moonنُورًاa reflected lightوَقَدَّرَهُۥand determined for itمَنَازِلَphasesلِتَعْلَمُوا۟that you may knowعَدَدَ(the) numberٱلسِّنِينَ(of) the yearsوَٱلْحِسَابَand the count (of time)مَاNotخَلَقَcreatedٱللَّهُAllahذَٰلِكَthatإِلَّاexceptبِٱلْحَقِّin truthيُفَصِّلُHe explainsٱلْءَايَٰتِthe Signsلِقَوْمٍfor a peopleيَعْلَمُونَ(who) know5
إِنَّIndeedفِىinٱخْتِلَٰفِ(the) alternationٱلَّيْلِ(of) the nightوَٱلنَّهَارِand the dayوَمَاand whatخَلَقَ(has been) createdٱللَّهُ(by) Allahفِىinٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِthe heavensوَٱلْأَرْضِand the earthلَءَايَٰتٍ(are) Signsلِّقَوْمٍfor a peopleيَتَّقُونَwho are God conscious6
إِنَّIndeedٱلَّذِينَthose whoلَا(do) notيَرْجُونَexpectلِقَآءَنَاthe meeting with Usوَرَضُوا۟and are pleasedبِٱلْحَيَوٰةِwith the lifeٱلدُّنْيَا(of) the worldوَٱطْمَأَنُّوا۟and feel satisfiedبِهَاwith itوَٱلَّذِينَand those هُمْtheyعَنْ(are) ofءَايَٰتِنَاOur Signsغَٰفِلُونَheedless7
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَThose مَأْوَىٰهُمُtheir abodeٱلنَّارُ(will be) the Fireبِمَاfor whatكَانُوا۟they used (to)يَكْسِبُونَearn8
إِنَّIndeedٱلَّذِينَthose whoءَامَنُوا۟believedوَعَمِلُوا۟and didٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِgood deedsيَهْدِيهِمْ(will) guide themرَبُّهُمtheir Lordبِإِيمَٰنِهِمْby their faithتَجْرِىWill flowمِنfromتَحْتِهِمُunderneath themٱلْأَنْهَٰرُthe riversفِىinجَنَّٰتِGardensٱلنَّعِيمِ(of) Delight9
دَعْوَىٰهُمْTheir prayerفِيهَاthereinسُبْحَٰنَكَ(will be), "Glory be to YouٱللَّهُمَّO AllahوَتَحِيَّتُهُمْAnd their greetingفِيهَاtherein (will be)سَلَٰمٌPeaceوَءَاخِرُAnd the lastدَعْوَىٰهُمْ(of) their callأَنِ(will be) [that]ٱلْحَمْدُAll the Praise beلِلَّهِto AllahرَبِّLordٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ(of) the worlds10
وَلَوْAnd ifيُعَجِّلُhastensٱللَّهُ(by) Allahلِلنَّاسِfor the mankindٱلشَّرَّthe evilٱسْتِعْجَالَهُم(as) He hastens for themبِٱلْخَيْرِthe goodلَقُضِىَsurely, would have been decreedإِلَيْهِمْfor themأَجَلُهُمْtheir termفَنَذَرُBut We leaveٱلَّذِينَthose whoلَا(do) notيَرْجُونَexpectلِقَآءَنَاthe meeting with Usفِىinطُغْيَٰنِهِمْtheir transgressionيَعْمَهُونَwandering blindly11
وَإِذَاAnd whenمَسَّtouchesٱلْإِنسَٰنَthe manٱلضُّرُّthe afflictionدَعَانَاhe calls Usلِجَنۢبِهِۦٓ(lying) on his sideأَوْorقَاعِدًاsittingأَوْorقَآئِمًاstandingفَلَمَّاBut whenكَشَفْنَاWe removeعَنْهُfrom himضُرَّهُۥhis afflictionمَرَّhe passes onكَأَنas if heلَّمْ(had) notيَدْعُنَآcalled Usإِلَىٰforضُرٍّ(the) afflictionمَّسَّهُۥ(that) touched himكَذَٰلِكَThusزُيِّنَ(it) is made fair seemingلِلْمُسْرِفِينَto the extravagantمَاwhatكَانُوا۟they used (to)يَعْمَلُونَdo12
وَلَقَدْAnd verilyأَهْلَكْنَاWe destroyedٱلْقُرُونَthe generationsمِنbefore youقَبْلِكُمْbefore youلَمَّاwhenظَلَمُوا۟they wrongedوَجَآءَتْهُمْand came to themرُسُلُهُمtheir Messengersبِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِwith clear proofsوَمَاbut notكَانُوا۟they wereلِيُؤْمِنُوا۟to believeكَذَٰلِكَThusنَجْزِىWe recompenseٱلْقَوْمَthe peopleٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ(who are) criminals13
ثُمَّThenجَعَلْنَٰكُمْWe made youخَلَٰٓئِفَsuccessorsفِىinٱلْأَرْضِthe earthمِنۢafter themبَعْدِهِمْafter themلِنَنظُرَso that We may seeكَيْفَhowتَعْمَلُونَyou do14
وَإِذَاAnd whenتُتْلَىٰare recitedعَلَيْهِمْto themءَايَاتُنَاOur Versesبَيِّنَٰتٍ(as) clear proofsقَالَsaidٱلَّذِينَthose whoلَا(do) notيَرْجُونَhopeلِقَآءَنَا(for the) meeting (with) UsٱئْتِBring usبِقُرْءَانٍa Quranغَيْرِother (than)هَٰذَآthisأَوْorبَدِّلْهُchange itقُلْSayمَاNotيَكُونُ(it) isلِىٓfor meأَنْthatأُبَدِّلَهُۥI change itمِنofتِلْقَآئِmy own accordنَفْسِىٓmy own accordإِنْNotأَتَّبِعُI followإِلَّاexceptمَاwhatيُوحَىٰٓis revealedإِلَىَّto meإِنِّىٓIndeed, Iأَخَافُ[I] fearإِنْifعَصَيْتُI were to disobeyرَبِّىmy Lordعَذَابَ(the) punishmentيَوْمٍ(of) a DayعَظِيمٍGreat15
قُلSayلَّوْIfشَآءَ(had) willedٱللَّهُAllahمَاnotتَلَوْتُهُۥI (would) have recited itعَلَيْكُمْto youوَلَآand notأَدْرَىٰكُمHe (would) have made it known to youبِهِۦHe (would) have made it known to youفَقَدْVerilyلَبِثْتُI have stayedفِيكُمْamong youعُمُرًاa lifetimeمِّنbefore itقَبْلِهِۦٓbefore itأَفَلَاThen will notتَعْقِلُونَyou use reason16
فَمَنْSo whoأَظْلَمُ(is) more wrongمِمَّنِthan he whoٱفْتَرَىٰinventsعَلَىagainstٱللَّهِAllahكَذِبًاa lieأَوْorكَذَّبَdeniesبِـَٔايَٰتِهِۦٓHis SignsإِنَّهُۥIndeedلَاnotيُفْلِحُwill succeedٱلْمُجْرِمُونَthe criminals17
وَيَعْبُدُونَAnd they worshipمِنfromدُونِother thanٱللَّهِAllahمَاthat (which)لَا(does) notيَضُرُّهُمْharm themوَلَاand notيَنفَعُهُمْbenefit themوَيَقُولُونَand they sayهَٰٓؤُلَآءِTheseشُفَعَٰٓؤُنَا(are) our intercessorsعِندَwithٱللَّهِAllahقُلْSayأَتُنَبِّـُٔونَDo you informٱللَّهَAllahبِمَاof whatلَاnotيَعْلَمُhe knowsفِىinٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِthe heavensوَلَاand notفِىinٱلْأَرْضِthe earthسُبْحَٰنَهُۥGlorified is Heوَتَعَٰلَىٰand Exaltedعَمَّاabove whatيُشْرِكُونَthey associate (with Him)18
وَمَاAnd notكَانَwasٱلنَّاسُthe mankindإِلَّآbutأُمَّةًa communityوَٰحِدَةًoneفَٱخْتَلَفُوا۟then they differedوَلَوْلَاAnd had (it) not beenكَلِمَةٌa wordسَبَقَتْ(that) precededمِنfromرَّبِّكَyour Lordلَقُضِىَsurely, it (would) have been judgedبَيْنَهُمْbetween themفِيمَاconcerning whatفِيهِ[therein]يَخْتَلِفُونَthey differ19
وَيَقُولُونَAnd they sayلَوْلَآWhy notأُنزِلَis sent downعَلَيْهِto himءَايَةٌa Signمِّنfromرَّبِّهِۦhis LordفَقُلْSo sayإِنَّمَاOnlyٱلْغَيْبُthe unseenلِلَّهِ(is) for Allahفَٱنتَظِرُوٓا۟so waitإِنِّىindeed, I amمَعَكُمwith youمِّنَamongٱلْمُنتَظِرِينَthe ones who wait20
وَإِذَآAnd whenأَذَقْنَاWe let [the] mankind tasteٱلنَّاسَWe let [the] mankind tasteرَحْمَةًmercyمِّنۢafterبَعْدِafterضَرَّآءَadversityمَسَّتْهُمْhas touched themإِذَاbeholdلَهُمThey haveمَّكْرٌa plotفِىٓagainstءَايَاتِنَاOur VersesقُلِSayٱللَّهُAllahأَسْرَعُ(is) more swiftمَكْرًا(in) planningإِنَّIndeedرُسُلَنَاOur Messengersيَكْتُبُونَwrite downمَاwhatتَمْكُرُونَyou plot21
هُوَHeٱلَّذِى(is) the One Whoيُسَيِّرُكُمْenables you to travelفِىinٱلْبَرِّthe landوَٱلْبَحْرِand the seaحَتَّىٰٓuntilإِذَاwhenكُنتُمْyou areفِىinٱلْفُلْكِthe shipsوَجَرَيْنَand they sailبِهِمwith themبِرِيحٍwith a windطَيِّبَةٍgoodوَفَرِحُوا۟and they rejoiceبِهَاthereinجَآءَتْهَاcomes to itرِيحٌa windعَاصِفٌstormyوَجَآءَهُمُand comes to themٱلْمَوْجُthe wavesمِنfromكُلِّeveryمَكَانٍplaceوَظَنُّوٓا۟and they assumeأَنَّهُمْthat theyأُحِيطَare surroundedبِهِمْwith themدَعَوُا۟They callٱللَّهَAllahمُخْلِصِينَsincerelyلَهُto Himٱلدِّينَ(in) the religionلَئِنْ(saying), "IfأَنجَيْتَنَاYou save usمِنْfromهَٰذِهِۦthisلَنَكُونَنَّsurely we will beمِنَamongٱلشَّٰكِرِينَthe thankful22
فَلَمَّآBut whenأَنجَىٰهُمْHe saved themإِذَاbeholdهُمْTheyيَبْغُونَrebelفِىinٱلْأَرْضِthe earthبِغَيْرِwithoutٱلْحَقِّ[the] rightيَٰٓأَيُّهَاO mankindٱلنَّاسُO mankindإِنَّمَاOnlyبَغْيُكُمْyour rebellionعَلَىٰٓ(is) againstأَنفُسِكُمyourselvesمَّتَٰعَ(the) enjoymentٱلْحَيَوٰةِ(of) the lifeٱلدُّنْيَا(of) the worldثُمَّThenإِلَيْنَاto Usمَرْجِعُكُمْ(is) your returnفَنُنَبِّئُكُمand We will inform youبِمَاof whatكُنتُمْyou used (to)تَعْمَلُونَdo23
إِنَّمَاOnlyمَثَلُ(the) exampleٱلْحَيَوٰةِ(of) the lifeٱلدُّنْيَا(of) the worldكَمَآءٍ(is) like (the) waterأَنزَلْنَٰهُwhich We sent downمِنَfromٱلسَّمَآءِthe skyفَٱخْتَلَطَso absorbsبِهِۦ[with] itنَبَاتُ(the) plantsٱلْأَرْضِ(of) the earthمِمَّاfrom whichيَأْكُلُeatٱلنَّاسُthe menوَٱلْأَنْعَٰمُand the cattleحَتَّىٰٓuntilإِذَآwhenأَخَذَتِtakesٱلْأَرْضُthe earthزُخْرُفَهَاits adornmentوَٱزَّيَّنَتْand is beautifiedوَظَنَّand thinkأَهْلُهَآits peopleأَنَّهُمْthat theyقَٰدِرُونَhave the powerعَلَيْهَآover itأَتَىٰهَآcomes (to) itأَمْرُنَاOur commandلَيْلًا(by) nightأَوْorنَهَارًا(by) dayفَجَعَلْنَٰهَاand We make itحَصِيدًاa harvest clean-mownكَأَنas ifلَّمْnotتَغْنَit had flourishedبِٱلْأَمْسِyesterdayكَذَٰلِكَThusنُفَصِّلُWe explainٱلْءَايَٰتِthe Signsلِقَوْمٍfor a peopleيَتَفَكَّرُونَwho reflect24
وَٱللَّهُAnd Allahيَدْعُوٓا۟callsإِلَىٰtoدَارِ(the) Homeٱلسَّلَٰمِ(of) the Peaceوَيَهْدِىand guidesمَنwhomيَشَآءُHe willsإِلَىٰtoصِرَٰطٍ(the) straight pathمُّسْتَقِيمٍ(the) straight path25
لِّلَّذِينَFor those whoأَحْسَنُوا۟do goodٱلْحُسْنَىٰ(is) the bestوَزِيَادَةٌand moreوَلَاAnd notيَرْهَقُ(will) coverوُجُوهَهُمْtheir facesقَتَرٌdustوَلَاand notذِلَّةٌhumiliationأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَThoseأَصْحَٰبُ(are the) companionsٱلْجَنَّةِ(of) Paradiseهُمْtheyفِيهَاin itخَٰلِدُونَ(will) abide forever26
وَٱلَّذِينَAnd those whoكَسَبُوا۟earnedٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِthe evil deedsجَزَآءُ(the) recompenseسَيِّئَةٍۢ(of) an evil deedبِمِثْلِهَا(is) like itوَتَرْهَقُهُمْand (will) cover themذِلَّةٌhumiliationمَّاThey will not haveلَهُمThey will not haveمِّنَfromٱللَّهِAllahمِنْanyعَاصِمٍdefenderكَأَنَّمَآAs ifأُغْشِيَتْhad been coveredوُجُوهُهُمْtheir facesقِطَعًا(with) piecesمِّنَfromٱلَّيْلِthe darkness (of) nightمُظْلِمًاthe darkness (of) nightأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَThoseأَصْحَٰبُ(are the) companionsٱلنَّارِ(of) the Fireهُمْtheyفِيهَاin itخَٰلِدُونَ(will) abide forever27
وَيَوْمَAnd (the) DayنَحْشُرُهُمْWe will gather themجَمِيعًاall togetherثُمَّthenنَقُولُWe will sayلِلَّذِينَto those whoأَشْرَكُوا۟associate partners (with Allah)مَكَانَكُمْ(Remain in) your placeأَنتُمْyouوَشُرَكَآؤُكُمْand your partnersفَزَيَّلْنَاThen We will separateبَيْنَهُمْ[between] themوَقَالَand (will) sayشُرَكَآؤُهُمtheir partnersمَّاNotكُنتُمْyou used (to)إِيَّانَاworship usتَعْبُدُونَworship us28
فَكَفَىٰSo sufficientبِٱللَّهِ(is) Allahشَهِيدًۢا(as) a witnessبَيْنَنَاbetween usوَبَيْنَكُمْand between youإِنthatكُنَّاwe wereعَنْofعِبَادَتِكُمْyour worshipلَغَٰفِلِينَcertainly unaware29
هُنَالِكَThereتَبْلُوا۟will be put to trialكُلُّeveryنَفْسٍsoulمَّآ(for) whatأَسْلَفَتْit did previouslyوَرُدُّوٓا۟and they will be returnedإِلَىtoٱللَّهِAllahمَوْلَىٰهُمُtheir Lordٱلْحَقِّthe trueوَضَلَّand will be lostعَنْهُمfrom themمَّاwhatكَانُوا۟they used (to)يَفْتَرُونَinvent30
قُلْSayمَنWhoيَرْزُقُكُمprovides for youمِّنَfromٱلسَّمَآءِthe skyوَٱلْأَرْضِand the earthأَمَّنOr whoيَمْلِكُcontrolsٱلسَّمْعَthe hearingوَٱلْأَبْصَٰرَand the sightوَمَنAnd whoيُخْرِجُbrings outٱلْحَىَّthe livingمِنَfromٱلْمَيِّتِthe deadوَيُخْرِجُand brings forthٱلْمَيِّتَthe deadمِنَfromٱلْحَىِّthe livingوَمَنAnd whoيُدَبِّرُdisposesٱلْأَمْرَthe affairsفَسَيَقُولُونَThen they will sayٱللَّهُAllahفَقُلْThen sayأَفَلَاThen will notتَتَّقُونَyou fear (Him)31
فَذَٰلِكُمُFor thatٱللَّهُ(is) Allahرَبُّكُمُyour Lordٱلْحَقُّthe trueفَمَاذَاSo what (can be)بَعْدَafterٱلْحَقِّthe truthإِلَّاexceptٱلضَّلَٰلُthe errorفَأَنَّىٰSo howتُصْرَفُونَ(are) you turned away32
كَذَٰلِكَThusحَقَّتْ(is) proved trueكَلِمَتُ(the) Wordرَبِّكَ(of) your Lordعَلَىuponٱلَّذِينَthose whoفَسَقُوٓا۟defiantly disobeyedأَنَّهُمْthat theyلَا(will) notيُؤْمِنُونَbelieve33
قُلْSayهَلْIs (there)مِنofشُرَكَآئِكُمyour partnersمَّن(any) whoيَبْدَؤُا۟originatesٱلْخَلْقَthe creationثُمَّthenيُعِيدُهُۥrepeats itقُلِSayٱللَّهُAllahيَبْدَؤُا۟originatesٱلْخَلْقَthe creationثُمَّthenيُعِيدُهُۥrepeats itفَأَنَّىٰSo howتُؤْفَكُونَyou are deluded34
قُلْSayهَلْIs (there)مِنofشُرَكَآئِكُمyour partnersمَّن(any) whoيَهْدِىٓguidesإِلَىtoٱلْحَقِّthe truthقُلِSayٱللَّهُAllahيَهْدِىguidesلِلْحَقِّto the truthأَفَمَنIs then (he) whoيَهْدِىٓguidesإِلَىtoٱلْحَقِّthe truthأَحَقُّmore worthyأَنthatيُتَّبَعَhe should be followedأَمَّنor (he) whoلَّا(does) notيَهِدِّىٓguideإِلَّآunlessأَن[that]يُهْدَىٰhe is guidedفَمَاThen whatلَكُمْ(is) for youكَيْفَhowتَحْكُمُونَyou judge35
وَمَاAnd notيَتَّبِعُfollowأَكْثَرُهُمْmost of themإِلَّاexceptظَنًّاassumptionإِنَّIndeedٱلظَّنَّthe assumptionلَا(does) notيُغْنِىavailمِنَagainstٱلْحَقِّthe truthشَيْـًٔاanythingإِنَّIndeedٱللَّهَAllahعَلِيمٌۢ(is) All-Knowerبِمَاof whatيَفْعَلُونَthey do36
وَمَاAnd notكَانَisهَٰذَاthisٱلْقُرْءَانُthe Quranأَنthatيُفْتَرَىٰ(it could be) producedمِنbyدُونِother than Allahٱللَّهِother than Allahوَلَٰكِنbutتَصْدِيقَ(it is) a confirmationٱلَّذِى(of that) whichبَيْنَ(was) before itيَدَيْهِ(was) before itوَتَفْصِيلَand a detailed explanationٱلْكِتَٰبِ(of) the Bookلَا(there is) noرَيْبَdoubtفِيهِin itمِنfromرَّبِّ(the) Lordٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ(of) the worlds37
أَمْOrيَقُولُونَ(do) they sayٱفْتَرَىٰهُHe has invented itقُلْSayفَأْتُوا۟Then bringبِسُورَةٍa Surahمِّثْلِهِۦlike itوَٱدْعُوا۟and callمَنِwhoeverٱسْتَطَعْتُمyou canمِّنbesides Allahدُونِbesides Allahٱللَّهِbesides Allahإِنifكُنتُمْyou areصَٰدِقِينَtruthful38
بَلْNayكَذَّبُوا۟they deniedبِمَاwhatلَمْnotيُحِيطُوا۟they could encompassبِعِلْمِهِۦ(of) its knowledgeوَلَمَّاand notيَأْتِهِمْhas come (to) themتَأْوِيلُهُۥits interpretationكَذَٰلِكَThusكَذَّبَdeniedٱلَّذِينَthoseمِنbefore themقَبْلِهِمْbefore themفَٱنظُرْthen seeكَيْفَhowكَانَwasعَٰقِبَةُ(the) endٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ(of) the wrongdoers39
وَمِنْهُمAnd of themمَّن(is one) whoيُؤْمِنُbelievesبِهِۦin itوَمِنْهُمand of themمَّن(is one) whoلَّا(does) notيُؤْمِنُbelieveبِهِۦin itوَرَبُّكَAnd your Lordأَعْلَمُ(is) All-Knowerبِٱلْمُفْسِدِينَof the corrupters40
وَإِنAnd ifكَذَّبُوكَthey deny youفَقُلthen sayلِّىFor meعَمَلِى(are) my deedsوَلَكُمْand for youعَمَلُكُمْ(are) your deedsأَنتُمYouبَرِيٓـُٔونَ(are) disassociatedمِمَّآfrom whatأَعْمَلُI doوَأَنَاand I amبَرِىٓءٌdisassociatedمِّمَّاfrom whatتَعْمَلُونَyou do41
وَمِنْهُمAnd among themمَّن(are some) whoيَسْتَمِعُونَlistenإِلَيْكَto youأَفَأَنتَBut (can) youتُسْمِعُcause the deaf to hearٱلصُّمَّcause the deaf to hearوَلَوْeven thoughكَانُوا۟they [were]لَا(do) notيَعْقِلُونَuse reason42
وَمِنْهُمAnd among themمَّن(are some) whoيَنظُرُlookإِلَيْكَat youأَفَأَنتَBut (can) youتَهْدِىguideٱلْعُمْىَthe blindوَلَوْeven thoughكَانُوا۟they [were]لَا(do) notيُبْصِرُونَsee43
إِنَّIndeedٱللَّهَAllahلَا(does) notيَظْلِمُwrongٱلنَّاسَthe peopleشَيْـًٔا(in) anythingوَلَٰكِنَّbutٱلنَّاسَthe peopleأَنفُسَهُمْwrong themselvesيَظْلِمُونَwrong themselves44
وَيَوْمَAnd the DayيَحْشُرُهُمْHe will gather themكَأَنas ifلَّمْthey had not remainedيَلْبَثُوٓا۟they had not remainedإِلَّاexceptسَاعَةًan hourمِّنَofٱلنَّهَارِthe dayيَتَعَارَفُونَthey will recognize each otherبَيْنَهُمْbetween themقَدْCertainlyخَسِرَ(will have) lostٱلَّذِينَthose whoكَذَّبُوا۟deniedبِلِقَآءِthe meetingٱللَّهِ(with) Allahوَمَاand notكَانُوا۟they wereمُهْتَدِينَthe guided ones45
وَإِمَّاAnd whetherنُرِيَنَّكَWe show youبَعْضَsomeٱلَّذِى(of) that whichنَعِدُهُمْWe promised themأَوْorنَتَوَفَّيَنَّكَWe cause you to dieفَإِلَيْنَاthen to Usمَرْجِعُهُمْ(is) their returnثُمَّthenٱللَّهُAllahشَهِيدٌ(is) a Witnessعَلَىٰoverمَاwhatيَفْعَلُونَthey do46
وَلِكُلِّAnd for everyأُمَّةٍnationرَّسُولٌ(is) a MessengerفَإِذَاSo whenجَآءَcomesرَسُولُهُمْtheir Messengerقُضِىَit will be judgedبَيْنَهُمbetween themبِٱلْقِسْطِin justiceوَهُمْand theyلَا(will) notيُظْلَمُونَbe wronged47
وَيَقُولُونَAnd they sayمَتَىٰWhenهَٰذَا(will) thisٱلْوَعْدُthe promise (be fulfilled)إِنifكُنتُمْyou areصَٰدِقِينَtruthful48
قُلSayلَّآNotأَمْلِكُI have powerلِنَفْسِىfor myselfضَرًّا(for) any harmوَلَاand notنَفْعًا(for) any profitإِلَّاexceptمَاwhatشَآءَAllah willsٱللَّهُAllah willsلِكُلِّFor everyأُمَّةٍnationأَجَلٌ(is) a termإِذَاWhenجَآءَcomesأَجَلُهُمْtheir termفَلَاthen notيَسْتَـْٔخِرُونَthey remain behindسَاعَةًan hourوَلَاand notيَسْتَقْدِمُونَthey can precede (it)49
قُلْSayأَرَءَيْتُمْDo you seeإِنْifأَتَىٰكُمْcomes to youعَذَابُهُۥHis punishmentبَيَٰتًا(by) nightأَوْorنَهَارًا(by) dayمَّاذَاwhat (portion)يَسْتَعْجِلُof it would (wish to) hastenمِنْهُof it would (wish to) hastenٱلْمُجْرِمُونَthe criminals50
أَثُمَّIs (it) thenإِذَاwhenمَاwhenوَقَعَ(it had) occurredءَامَنتُمyou (will) believeبِهِۦٓin itءَآلْـَٰٔنَNowوَقَدْAnd certainlyكُنتُمyou wereبِهِۦseeking to hasten itتَسْتَعْجِلُونَseeking to hasten it51
ثُمَّThenقِيلَit will be saidلِلَّذِينَto those whoظَلَمُوا۟wrongedذُوقُوا۟Tasteعَذَابَpunishmentٱلْخُلْدِthe everlastingهَلْAre you (being) recompensedتُجْزَوْنَAre you (being) recompensedإِلَّاexceptبِمَاfor whatكُنتُمْyou used (to)تَكْسِبُونَearn52
وَيَسْتَنۢبِـُٔونَكَAnd they ask you to informأَحَقٌّIs it trueهُوَIs it trueقُلْSayإِىYesوَرَبِّىٓby my LordإِنَّهُۥIndeed, itلَحَقٌّ(is) surely the truthوَمَآand notأَنتُمyouبِمُعْجِزِينَ(can) escape (it)53
وَلَوْAnd ifأَنَّthatلِكُلِّfor everyنَفْسٍsoulظَلَمَتْ(that) wrongedمَاwhateverفِى(is) inٱلْأَرْضِthe earthلَٱفْتَدَتْit (would) seek to ransomبِهِۦwith itوَأَسَرُّوا۟and they (will) confideٱلنَّدَامَةَthe regretلَمَّاwhenرَأَوُا۟they seeٱلْعَذَابَthe punishmentوَقُضِىَBut will be judgedبَيْنَهُمbetween themبِٱلْقِسْطِin justiceوَهُمْand theyلَا(will) notيُظْلَمُونَ(be) wronged54
أَلَآNo doubtإِنَّindeedلِلَّهِfor Allahمَا(is) whateverفِى(is) inٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِthe heavensوَٱلْأَرْضِand the earthأَلَآNo doubtإِنَّindeedوَعْدَ(the) Promise of Allahٱللَّهِ(the) Promise of Allahحَقٌّ(is) trueوَلَٰكِنَّButأَكْثَرَهُمْmost of themلَا(do) notيَعْلَمُونَknow55
هُوَHeيُحْىِۦgives lifeوَيُمِيتُand causes deathوَإِلَيْهِand to Himتُرْجَعُونَyou will be returned56
يَٰٓأَيُّهَاO mankindٱلنَّاسُO mankindقَدْVerilyجَآءَتْكُمhas come to youمَّوْعِظَةٌan instructionمِّنfromرَّبِّكُمْyour Lordوَشِفَآءٌand a healingلِّمَاfor whatفِى(is) inٱلصُّدُورِyour breastsوَهُدًىand guidanceوَرَحْمَةٌand mercyلِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَfor the believers57
قُلْSayبِفَضْلِIn the Bountyٱللَّهِ(of) Allahوَبِرَحْمَتِهِۦand in His Mercyفَبِذَٰلِكَso in thatفَلْيَفْرَحُوا۟let them rejoiceهُوَItخَيْرٌ(is) betterمِّمَّاthan whatيَجْمَعُونَthey accumulate58
قُلْSayأَرَءَيْتُمHave you seenمَّآwhatأَنزَلَ(has been) sent downٱللَّهُ(by) Allahلَكُمfor youمِّنofرِّزْقٍ(the) provisionفَجَعَلْتُمand you have madeمِّنْهُof itحَرَامًاunlawfulوَحَلَٰلًاand lawfulقُلْSayءَآللَّهُHas Allahأَذِنَpermittedلَكُمْ[to] youأَمْorعَلَىaboutٱللَّهِAllahتَفْتَرُونَyou invent (lies)59
وَمَاAnd whatظَنُّ(will be the) assumptionٱلَّذِينَ(of) those whoيَفْتَرُونَinventعَلَىagainstٱللَّهِAllahٱلْكَذِبَthe lieيَوْمَ(on) the Dayٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ(of) the JudgmentإِنَّIndeedٱللَّهَAllahلَذُو(is) surely Full (of) Bountyفَضْلٍ(is) surely Full (of) Bountyعَلَىtoٱلنَّاسِthe mankindوَلَٰكِنَّbutأَكْثَرَهُمْmost of themلَا(are) notيَشْكُرُونَgrateful60
وَمَاAnd notتَكُونُyou areفِى[in]شَأْنٍany situationوَمَاand notتَتْلُوا۟you reciteمِنْهُof itمِنfromقُرْءَانٍ(the) Quranوَلَاand notتَعْمَلُونَyou doمِنْanyعَمَلٍdeedإِلَّاexceptكُنَّاWe areعَلَيْكُمْover youشُهُودًاwitnessesإِذْwhenتُفِيضُونَyou are engagedفِيهِin itوَمَاAnd notيَعْزُبُescapesعَنfromرَّبِّكَyour Lordمِنofمِّثْقَالِ(the) weightذَرَّةٍ(of) an atomفِىinٱلْأَرْضِthe earthوَلَاand notفِىinٱلسَّمَآءِthe heavensوَلَآand notأَصْغَرَsmallerمِنthanذَٰلِكَthatوَلَآand notأَكْبَرَgreaterإِلَّاbutفِى(is) inكِتَٰبٍa Recordمُّبِينٍclear61
أَلَآNo doubtإِنَّIndeedأَوْلِيَآءَ(the) friendsٱللَّهِ(of) Allahلَا(there will be) noخَوْفٌfearعَلَيْهِمْupon thenوَلَاand notهُمْtheyيَحْزَنُونَwill grieve62
لَهُمُFor themٱلْبُشْرَىٰ(are) the glad tidingsفِىinٱلْحَيَوٰةِthe lifeٱلدُّنْيَا(of) the worldوَفِىand inٱلْءَاخِرَةِthe HereafterلَاNoتَبْدِيلَchangeلِكَلِمَٰتِ(is there) in the Wordsٱللَّهِ(of) AllahذَٰلِكَThatهُوَisٱلْفَوْزُthe successٱلْعَظِيمُthe great64
وَلَاAnd (let) notيَحْزُنكَgrieve youقَوْلُهُمْtheir speechإِنَّIndeedٱلْعِزَّةَthe honorلِلَّهِ(belongs) to AllahجَمِيعًاallهُوَHeٱلسَّمِيعُ(is) the All-Hearerٱلْعَلِيمُthe All-Knower65
أَلَآNo doubtإِنَّIndeedلِلَّهِto Allah (belongs)مَنwhoeverفِى(is) inٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِthe heavensوَمَنand whoeverفِى(is) inٱلْأَرْضِthe earthوَمَاAnd notيَتَّبِعُfollowٱلَّذِينَthose whoيَدْعُونَinvokeمِنother than Allahدُونِother than Allahٱللَّهِother than AllahشُرَكَآءَpartnersإِنNotيَتَّبِعُونَthey followإِلَّاbutٱلظَّنَّthe assumptionوَإِنْand notهُمْtheyإِلَّاbutيَخْرُصُونَguess66
هُوَHeٱلَّذِى(is) the One Whoجَعَلَmadeلَكُمُfor youٱلَّيْلَthe nightلِتَسْكُنُوا۟that you may restفِيهِin itوَٱلنَّهَارَand the dayمُبْصِرًاgiving visibilityإِنَّIndeedفِىinذَٰلِكَthatلَءَايَٰتٍsurely (are) Signsلِّقَوْمٍfor a peopleيَسْمَعُونَ(who) listen67
قَالُوا۟They sayٱتَّخَذَAllah has takenٱللَّهُAllah has takenوَلَدًاa sonسُبْحَٰنَهُۥGlory be to HimهُوَHeٱلْغَنِىُّ(is) the Self-sufficientلَهُۥTo Him (belongs)مَاwhateverفِى(is) inٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِthe heavensوَمَاand whateverفِى(is) inٱلْأَرْضِthe earthإِنْNotعِندَكُمyou haveمِّنanyسُلْطَٰنٍۢauthorityبِهَٰذَآfor thisأَتَقُولُونَDo you sayعَلَىaboutٱللَّهِAllahمَاwhatلَاnotتَعْلَمُونَyou know68
قُلْSayإِنَّIndeedٱلَّذِينَthose whoيَفْتَرُونَinventعَلَىagainstٱللَّهِAllahٱلْكَذِبَthe lieلَاthey will not succeedيُفْلِحُونَthey will not succeed69
مَتَٰعٌAn enjoymentفِىinٱلدُّنْيَاthe worldثُمَّthenإِلَيْنَاto Usمَرْجِعُهُمْ(is) their returnثُمَّthenنُذِيقُهُمُWe will make them tasteٱلْعَذَابَthe punishmentٱلشَّدِيدَthe severeبِمَاbecauseكَانُوا۟they used toيَكْفُرُونَdisbelieve70
وَٱتْلُAnd reciteعَلَيْهِمْto themنَبَأَthe newsنُوحٍ(of) Nuhإِذْwhenقَالَhe saidلِقَوْمِهِۦto his peopleيَٰقَوْمِO my peopleإِنIfكَانَisكَبُرَhardعَلَيْكُمon youمَّقَامِىmy stayوَتَذْكِيرِىand my remindingبِـَٔايَٰتِthe Signs of Allahٱللَّهِthe Signs of Allahفَعَلَىthen onٱللَّهِAllahتَوَكَّلْتُI put my trustفَأَجْمِعُوٓا۟So you all resolveأَمْرَكُمْyour planوَشُرَكَآءَكُمْand your partnersثُمَّThenلَاlet not beيَكُنْlet not beأَمْرُكُمْ(in) your planعَلَيْكُمْfor youغُمَّةًany doubtثُمَّThenٱقْضُوٓا۟carry (it out)إِلَىَّupon meوَلَاand (do) notتُنظِرُونِgive me respite71
فَإِنBut ifتَوَلَّيْتُمْyou turn awayفَمَاthen notسَأَلْتُكُمI have asked youمِّنْanyأَجْرٍrewardإِنْNotأَجْرِىَ(is) my rewardإِلَّاbutعَلَىonٱللَّهِAllahوَأُمِرْتُand I have been commandedأَنْthatأَكُونَI beمِنَofٱلْمُسْلِمِينَthe Muslims72
فَكَذَّبُوهُBut they denied himفَنَجَّيْنَٰهُso We saved himوَمَنand (those) whoمَّعَهُۥ(were) with himفِىinٱلْفُلْكِthe shipوَجَعَلْنَٰهُمْand We made themخَلَٰٓئِفَsuccessorsوَأَغْرَقْنَاand We drownedٱلَّذِينَthose whoكَذَّبُوا۟deniedبِـَٔايَٰتِنَاOur SignsفَٱنظُرْThen seeكَيْفَhowكَانَwasعَٰقِبَةُ(the) endٱلْمُنذَرِينَ(of) those who were warned73
ثُمَّThenبَعَثْنَاWe sentمِنۢafter himبَعْدِهِۦafter himرُسُلًاMessengersإِلَىٰtoقَوْمِهِمْtheir peopleفَجَآءُوهُمand they came to themبِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِwith clear proofsفَمَاBut notكَانُوا۟they wereلِيُؤْمِنُوا۟to believeبِمَاwhatكَذَّبُوا۟they had deniedبِهِۦ[it]مِنbeforeقَبْلُbeforeكَذَٰلِكَThusنَطْبَعُWe sealعَلَىٰ[on]قُلُوبِthe heartsٱلْمُعْتَدِينَ(of) the transgressors74
ثُمَّThenبَعَثْنَاWe sentمِنۢafter themبَعْدِهِمafter themمُّوسَىٰMusaوَهَٰرُونَand HarunإِلَىٰtoفِرْعَوْنَFiraunوَمَلَإِي۟هِۦand his chiefsبِـَٔايَٰتِنَاwith Our Signsفَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟but they were arrogantوَكَانُوا۟and wereقَوْمًاa peopleمُّجْرِمِينَcriminal75
فَلَمَّاSo whenجَآءَهُمُcame to themٱلْحَقُّthe truthمِنْfrom Usعِندِنَاfrom Usقَالُوٓا۟they saidإِنَّIndeedهَٰذَاthisلَسِحْرٌ(is) surely, a magicمُّبِينٌclear76
قَالَMusa saidمُوسَىٰٓMusa saidأَتَقُولُونَDo you sayلِلْحَقِّabout the truthلَمَّاwhenجَآءَكُمْit has come to youأَسِحْرٌIs this magicهَٰذَاIs this magicوَلَاBut (will) notيُفْلِحُsucceedٱلسَّٰحِرُونَthe magicians77
قَالُوٓا۟They saidأَجِئْتَنَاHave you come to usلِتَلْفِتَنَاto turn us awayعَمَّاfrom thatوَجَدْنَاwe foundعَلَيْهِon itءَابَآءَنَاour forefathersوَتَكُونَand you two (may) haveلَكُمَاand you two (may) haveٱلْكِبْرِيَآءُthe greatnessفِىinٱلْأَرْضِthe landوَمَاAnd we (are) notنَحْنُAnd we (are) notلَكُمَا(in) you twoبِمُؤْمِنِينَbelievers78
وَقَالَAnd Firaun saidفِرْعَوْنُAnd Firaun saidٱئْتُونِىBring to meبِكُلِّeveryسَٰحِرٍmagicianعَلِيمٍlearned79
فَلَمَّاSo whenجَآءَcameٱلسَّحَرَةُthe magiciansقَالَsaidلَهُمto themمُّوسَىٰٓMusaأَلْقُوا۟Throwمَآwhateverأَنتُمyouمُّلْقُونَ(wish to) throw80
فَلَمَّآThen whenأَلْقَوْا۟they (had) thrownقَالَMusa saidمُوسَىٰMusa saidمَاWhatجِئْتُمyou have broughtبِهِ[it]ٱلسِّحْرُ(is) the magicإِنَّIndeedٱللَّهَAllahسَيُبْطِلُهُۥٓwill nullify itإِنَّIndeedٱللَّهَAllahلَا(does) notيُصْلِحُamendعَمَلَthe workٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ(of) the corrupters81
وَيُحِقُّAnd Allah will establishٱللَّهُAnd Allah will establishٱلْحَقَّthe truthبِكَلِمَٰتِهِۦby His wordsوَلَوْeven ifكَرِهَdislike itٱلْمُجْرِمُونَthe criminals82
فَمَآBut noneءَامَنَbelievedلِمُوسَىٰٓMusaإِلَّاexceptذُرِّيَّةٌ(the) offspringمِّنamongقَوْمِهِۦhis peopleعَلَىٰforخَوْفٍfearمِّنofفِرْعَوْنَFiraunوَمَلَإِي۟هِمْand their chiefsأَنlestيَفْتِنَهُمْthey persecute themوَإِنَّAnd indeedفِرْعَوْنَFiraunلَعَالٍ(was) a tyrantفِىinٱلْأَرْضِthe earthوَإِنَّهُۥand indeed, heلَمِنَ(was) ofٱلْمُسْرِفِينَthe ones who commit excesses83
وَقَالَAnd Musa saidمُوسَىٰAnd Musa saidيَٰقَوْمِO my peopleإِنIfكُنتُمْyou haveءَامَنتُمbelievedبِٱللَّهِin Allahفَعَلَيْهِthen on Himتَوَكَّلُوٓا۟put your trustإِنifكُنتُمyou areمُّسْلِمِينَMuslims84
فَقَالُوا۟Then they saidعَلَىUponٱللَّهِAllahتَوَكَّلْنَاwe put our trustرَبَّنَاOur Lordلَا(Do) notتَجْعَلْنَاmake usفِتْنَةًa trialلِّلْقَوْمِfor the people ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَthe wrongdoers85
وَنَجِّنَاAnd save usبِرَحْمَتِكَby Your Mercyمِنَfromٱلْقَوْمِthe people ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَthe disbelievers86
وَأَوْحَيْنَآAnd We inspiredإِلَىٰtoمُوسَىٰMusaوَأَخِيهِand his brotherأَنthatتَبَوَّءَاSettleلِقَوْمِكُمَاyour peopleبِمِصْرَin Egyptبُيُوتًا(in) housesوَٱجْعَلُوا۟and makeبُيُوتَكُمْyour housesقِبْلَةً(as) places of worshipوَأَقِيمُوا۟and establishٱلصَّلَوٰةَthe prayerوَبَشِّرِAnd give glad tidingsٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ(to) the believers87
وَقَالَAnd Musa saidمُوسَىٰAnd Musa saidرَبَّنَآOur LordإِنَّكَIndeed, Youءَاتَيْتَhave givenفِرْعَوْنَFiraunوَمَلَأَهُۥand his chiefsزِينَةًsplendorوَأَمْوَٰلًاand wealthفِىinٱلْحَيَوٰةِthe lifeٱلدُّنْيَا(of) the worldرَبَّنَاOur Lordلِيُضِلُّوا۟That they may lead astrayعَنfromسَبِيلِكَYour wayرَبَّنَاOur LordٱطْمِسْDestroyعَلَىٰٓ[on]أَمْوَٰلِهِمْtheir wealthوَٱشْدُدْand hardenعَلَىٰ[on]قُلُوبِهِمْtheir heartsفَلَاso (that) notيُؤْمِنُوا۟they believeحَتَّىٰuntilيَرَوُا۟they seeٱلْعَذَابَthe punishment ٱلْأَلِيمَthe painful88
قَالَHe saidقَدْVerilyأُجِيبَتhas been answeredدَّعْوَتُكُمَا(the) invocation of both of youفَٱسْتَقِيمَاSo you two (keep to the) straight wayوَلَاAnd (do) notتَتَّبِعَآنِّfollowسَبِيلَ(the) wayٱلَّذِينَ(of) those whoلَا(do) notيَعْلَمُونَknow89
وَجَٰوَزْنَاAnd We took acrossبِبَنِىٓ(the) Childrenإِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ(of) Israel ٱلْبَحْرَthe seaفَأَتْبَعَهُمْand followed themفِرْعَوْنُFiraunوَجُنُودُهُۥand his hostsبَغْيًا(in) rebellionوَعَدْوًاand enmityحَتَّىٰٓuntilإِذَآwhenأَدْرَكَهُovertook himٱلْغَرَقُthe drowningقَالَhe saidءَامَنتُI believeأَنَّهُۥthatلَآ(there is) noإِلَٰهَgodإِلَّاexceptٱلَّذِىٓthe Oneءَامَنَتْin Whom believeبِهِۦin Whom believeبَنُوٓا۟the Children of Israelإِسْرَٰٓءِيلَthe Children of Israelوَأَنَاand I amمِنَofٱلْمُسْلِمِينَthe Muslims90
ءَآلْـَٰٔنَNowوَقَدْAnd verilyعَصَيْتَyou (had) disobeyedقَبْلُbeforeوَكُنتَand you wereمِنَofٱلْمُفْسِدِينَthe corrupters91
فَٱلْيَوْمَSo todayنُنَجِّيكَWe will save youبِبَدَنِكَin your bodyلِتَكُونَthat you may beلِمَنْfor (those) whoخَلْفَكَsucceed youءَايَةًa signوَإِنَّAnd indeedكَثِيرًاmanyمِّنَamongٱلنَّاسِthe mankindعَنْofءَايَٰتِنَاOur Signsلَغَٰفِلُونَ(are) surely heedless92
وَلَقَدْAnd verilyبَوَّأْنَاWe settledبَنِىٓ(the) Childrenإِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ(of) Israelمُبَوَّأَ(in) a settlementصِدْقٍhonorableوَرَزَقْنَٰهُمand We provided themمِّنَwithٱلطَّيِّبَٰتِthe good thingsفَمَاand notٱخْتَلَفُوا۟they differحَتَّىٰuntilجَآءَهُمُcame to themٱلْعِلْمُthe knowledgeإِنَّIndeedرَبَّكَyour Lordيَقْضِىwill judgeبَيْنَهُمْbetween themيَوْمَ(on) the Dayٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ(of) the Resurrectionفِيمَاconcerning whatكَانُوا۟they used (to)فِيهِ[in it]يَخْتَلِفُونَdiffer93
فَإِنSo ifكُنتَyou areفِىinشَكٍّdoubtمِّمَّآof whatأَنزَلْنَآWe have revealedإِلَيْكَto youفَسْـَٔلِthen askٱلَّذِينَthose whoيَقْرَءُونَ(have been) readingٱلْكِتَٰبَthe Bookمِنbefore youقَبْلِكَbefore youلَقَدْVerilyجَآءَكَhas come to youٱلْحَقُّthe truthمِنfromرَّبِّكَyour Lordفَلَاso (do) notتَكُونَنَّbeمِنَamongٱلْمُمْتَرِينَthe doubters94
وَلَاAnd (do) notتَكُونَنَّbeمِنَofٱلَّذِينَthose whoكَذَّبُوا۟denyبِـَٔايَٰتِ(the) Signs of Allahٱللَّهِ(the) Signs of Allahفَتَكُونَthen you will beمِنَamongٱلْخَٰسِرِينَthe losers95
إِنَّIndeedٱلَّذِينَthose [whom]حَقَّتْhas become dueعَلَيْهِمْon themكَلِمَتُ(the) Wordرَبِّكَ(of) your Lordلَاwill notيُؤْمِنُونَbelieve96
وَلَوْEven ifجَآءَتْهُمْcomes to themكُلُّeveryءَايَةٍSignحَتَّىٰuntilيَرَوُا۟they seeٱلْعَذَابَthe punishment ٱلْأَلِيمَthe painful97
فَلَوْلَاSo why notكَانَتْwasقَرْيَةٌany townءَامَنَتْthat believedفَنَفَعَهَآand benefited itإِيمَٰنُهَآits faithإِلَّاexceptقَوْمَthe peopleيُونُسَ(of) YunusلَمَّآWhenءَامَنُوا۟they believedكَشَفْنَاWe removedعَنْهُمْfrom themعَذَابَ(the) punishmentٱلْخِزْىِ(of) the disgraceفِىinٱلْحَيَوٰةِthe lifeٱلدُّنْيَاof the worldوَمَتَّعْنَٰهُمْand We granted them enjoymentإِلَىٰforحِينٍa time98
وَلَوْAnd ifشَآءَ(had) willedرَبُّكَyour Lordلَءَامَنَsurely, (would) have believedمَنwhoفِى(are) inٱلْأَرْضِthe earthكُلُّهُمْall of themجَمِيعًاtogetherأَفَأَنتَThen, will youتُكْرِهُcompelٱلنَّاسَthe mankindحَتَّىٰuntilيَكُونُوا۟they becomeمُؤْمِنِينَbelievers99
وَمَاAnd notكَانَisلِنَفْسٍfor a soulأَنtoتُؤْمِنَbelieveإِلَّاexceptبِإِذْنِby (the) permissionٱللَّهِ(of) AllahوَيَجْعَلُAnd He will placeٱلرِّجْسَthe wrathعَلَىonٱلَّذِينَthose whoلَا(do) notيَعْقِلُونَuse reason100
قُلِSayٱنظُرُوا۟Seeمَاذَاwhatفِى(is) inٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِthe heavensوَٱلْأَرْضِand the earthوَمَاBut notتُغْنِىwill availٱلْءَايَٰتُthe Signsوَٱلنُّذُرُand the warnersعَنtoقَوْمٍa peopleلَّا(who do) notيُؤْمِنُونَbelieve101
فَهَلْThen doيَنتَظِرُونَthey waitإِلَّاexceptمِثْلَlikeأَيَّامِthe daysٱلَّذِينَ(of) those whoخَلَوْا۟passed awayمِنbefore themقَبْلِهِمْbefore themقُلْSayفَٱنتَظِرُوٓا۟Then waitإِنِّىindeed, I (am)مَعَكُمwith youمِّنَamongٱلْمُنتَظِرِينَthe ones who wait102
ثُمَّThenنُنَجِّىWe will saveرُسُلَنَاOur Messengersوَٱلَّذِينَand those whoءَامَنُوا۟believeكَذَٰلِكَThusحَقًّا(it is) an obligationعَلَيْنَاupon Usنُنجِ(that) We saveٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَthe believers103
قُلْSayيَٰٓأَيُّهَاO mankindٱلنَّاسُO mankindإِنIfكُنتُمْyou areفِىinشَكٍّdoubtمِّنofدِينِىmy religionفَلَآthen notأَعْبُدُI worshipٱلَّذِينَthose whomتَعْبُدُونَyou worshipمِنbesides Allahدُونِbesides Allahٱللَّهِbesides AllahوَلَٰكِنْbutأَعْبُدُI worshipٱللَّهَAllahٱلَّذِىthe One Whoيَتَوَفَّىٰكُمْcauses you to dieوَأُمِرْتُAnd I am commandedأَنْthatأَكُونَI beمِنَofٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَthe believers104
وَأَنْAnd thatأَقِمْDirectوَجْهَكَyour faceلِلدِّينِto the religionحَنِيفًاuprightوَلَاand (do) notتَكُونَنَّbeمِنَofٱلْمُشْرِكِينَthe polytheists105
وَلَاAnd (do) notتَدْعُinvokeمِنbesides Allahدُونِbesides Allahٱللَّهِbesides Allahمَاwhatلَا(will) notيَنفَعُكَbenefit youوَلَاand notيَضُرُّكَharm youفَإِنBut ifفَعَلْتَyou did soفَإِنَّكَindeed, youإِذًاthen (will be)مِّنَofٱلظَّٰلِمِينَthe wrongdoers106
وَإِنAnd ifيَمْسَسْكَAllah touches youٱللَّهُAllah touches youبِضُرٍّwith adversityفَلَا(there is) noكَاشِفَremoverلَهُۥٓof itإِلَّاexceptهُوَHimوَإِنand ifيُرِدْكَHe intends for youبِخَيْرٍany goodفَلَاthen (there is) noرَآدَّrepellerلِفَضْلِهِۦ(of) His BountyيُصِيبُHe causes it to reachبِهِۦHe causes it to reachمَنwhomيَشَآءُHe willsمِنْofعِبَادِهِۦHis slavesوَهُوَAnd Heٱلْغَفُورُ(is) the Oft-Forgivingٱلرَّحِيمُthe Most Merciful107
قُلْSayيَٰٓأَيُّهَاO mankindٱلنَّاسُO mankindقَدْVerilyجَآءَكُمُhas come to youٱلْحَقُّthe truthمِنfromرَّبِّكُمْyour LordفَمَنِSo whoeverٱهْتَدَىٰ(is) guidedفَإِنَّمَاthen onlyيَهْتَدِى(he is) guidedلِنَفْسِهِۦfor his soulوَمَنand whoeverضَلَّgoes astrayفَإِنَّمَاthen onlyيَضِلُّhe straysعَلَيْهَاagainst itوَمَآAnd I am notأَنَاAnd I am notعَلَيْكُمover youبِوَكِيلٍa guardian108
وَٱتَّبِعْAnd followمَاwhatيُوحَىٰٓis revealedإِلَيْكَto youوَٱصْبِرْand be patientحَتَّىٰuntilيَحْكُمَAllah gives judgmentٱللَّهُAllah gives judgmentوَهُوَAnd Heخَيْرُ(is) the Bestٱلْحَٰكِمِينَ(of) the Judges109

الٓرAlif Lam Raكِتَٰبٌ(This is) a Bookأُحْكِمَتْare perfectedءَايَٰتُهُۥits Versesثُمَّmoreoverفُصِّلَتْexplained in detailمِنfrom (he One Who)لَّدُنْfrom (he One Who)حَكِيمٍ(is) All-WiseخَبِيرٍAll-Aware1
أَلَّاThat "Notتَعْبُدُوٓا۟you worshipإِلَّاbutٱللَّهَAllahإِنَّنِىIndeed, I amلَكُمto youمِّنْهُfrom Himنَذِيرٌa warnerوَبَشِيرٌand a bearer of glad tidings2
وَأَنِAnd thatٱسْتَغْفِرُوا۟Seek forgivenessرَبَّكُمْ(of) your Lordثُمَّandتُوبُوٓا۟turn in repentanceإِلَيْهِto HimيُمَتِّعْكُمHe will let youمَّتَٰعًاenjoyحَسَنًاa goodإِلَىٰٓforأَجَلٍa termمُّسَمًّىappointedوَيُؤْتِAnd giveكُلَّ(to) everyذِىownerفَضْلٍ(of) graceفَضْلَهُۥHis GraceوَإِنBut ifتَوَلَّوْا۟you turn awayفَإِنِّىٓthen indeed, Iأَخَافُfearعَلَيْكُمْfor youعَذَابَ(the) punishmentيَوْمٍ(of) a Great Dayكَبِيرٍ(of) a Great Day3
إِلَىToٱللَّهِAllahمَرْجِعُكُمْ(is) your returnوَهُوَand Heعَلَىٰ(is) onكُلِّeveryشَىْءٍthingقَدِيرٌAll-Powerful4
أَلَآNo doubtإِنَّهُمْTheyيَثْنُونَfold upصُدُورَهُمْtheir breastsلِيَسْتَخْفُوا۟that they may hideمِنْهُfrom HimأَلَاSurelyحِينَwhenيَسْتَغْشُونَthey cover (themselves)ثِيَابَهُمْ(with) their garmentsيَعْلَمُHe knowsمَاwhatيُسِرُّونَthey concealوَمَاand whatيُعْلِنُونَthey revealإِنَّهُۥIndeed, Heعَلِيمٌۢ(is) All-Knowerبِذَاتِof whatٱلصُّدُورِ(is in) the breasts5
